I want to lick not-Erika's sweet eyebrows.
>pointless sub drama and curry
Fortune! Sho Ryu Ha!
Why is fortune such a best??
We can talk about different food if you want.
Well now I want a version of subs where all the actual lines are replaced with a nice madras recipe.
Fresh - fruit
HC - flowers
Suite - music
Smile - ...things that make you smile?
Doki - cards
HaCha - dancing
So if the Precure themes are supposed to be feminine like how Sentai has masculine themes, when are we going to get a Precure about pro wrestling?
Seaside vs LPHP-Doremi subs.
What is cream stew and what do I have to do to make it, /pc/?
>Smile - ...things that make you smile?
It was supposed to be fairy tales, anon.
Just finished downloading. Looking pretty ace so far.
Dude, I'm actually borrowing some of these
"Cure Lovely, wherefore art thou Cure Lovely?"
OK. My sides are officially gone.
>Fresh - fruit
I really like the way they tied the fruit theme to the plot of the show, and the way everything seemed to connect to it without feeling gimmicky.
"I, Queen Mirage" would probably fit better.
I'm glad there are options, but boy are some of those lines painful to read. Honorifics, and all that.
While I haven't watched Fresh yet, after watching Smile followed by Doki, I can't help but feel this post is sarcasm.
Got something against Gura-san?
Just remember that donuts are awesome
"Happy cheer" is legitimately good.
I think you're misunderstanding something here.
>Smile - ...things that make you smile?
Smile theme is sea fauna. You can see it by looking at the hairstyles of the cures.
Miyuki = Hermit Crab
Akane = Octopus
Yayoi = Squid
Nao = Sea Cucumber
Reika = Jellyfish
Pic unrelated, a different interpretation.
Why is he wearing a dress? He should definitely be a male fairy.
>Hi! Welcome to Full-Blown Meals!
>Give me some sweets!
>Because like, I know you.
I'm reminded of this chart for some reason.
Gimmie a have some.
Ugh, some of the Seaside lines are pretty dumb.
>Hi! Welcome to Full-Blown Meals!
>Give me some sweets!
>Because like, I know you.
Are you squiddin me de geso?
No lie, Full-Blown Meals is fantastic.
Let's go, Arashi-san!
>I think you're misunderstanding something here.
What am I missing?
Who knows, maybe I'm misunderstanding. But I don't take Seaside to be serious subs.
It's not supposed to be taken serious.
In fact, it's just a Doremi edit.
Not funny enough to be good funsubs, not good enough to be realsubs. Solidly mediocre.
I'm not taking them seriously. But having just one option is too dry for my liking, that's why I said I was glad the guy did it. He sounds like an English major being verbiose with every character.
Still best pink
I might be OK with this.
You are now realizing that Princess transformed solely to fly up that huge tower.
Already a good series.
>Hime's shortcomings stem not from her skill, but from her mind!
>Even the mightiest Precure is worthless when bested by fear!
Damn, this sounds so good I might actually watch with subs even if I don't need them.
If Seaside wanted be a real comedian, they would have done the Do you know Megumi joke when she introduced herself to Hime.
Because I said so.
Why aren't they supposed to be taken seriously?
Geez, do all you guys watch toku? I'm starting to feel significantly less special lately
I'm getting gg JoJo flashbacks. And it's great.
I give it 4 episodes tops before every single one of the them forgets they can fly out of writer's convenience.
I guess because they're really just edits of Doremis?
It's implied at least half of /pc/ watches Super Hero Time.
Precure with cooking segment from Sunred when?
I hope there will be some skedaddling involved in future releases.
So now that Erika is obsolete, are you going to delete your Proto-Hime folder?
This is great too!
Is the "kawarunrun" voice during the henshin provided by Kotono Mitsuishi?
You forget that flying requires less animation than walking.
No, that is not great. That is really not great.
Uhhhh uhhh...fuck, I think they really will do that. Toei, you did something good but something really exploitably bad
And? People edit CrunchyRoll all the time, and that can produce pretty good results.
>Implying I had a Erika folder in first place
If you livewatch, you want to get in the stream early. Why not see Rider and SS while you're at it?
Only when I livewatch Precure, which is becoming more common. I might pick up train heroes.
Being overtly verbose and extravagant is fun, but doesn't remain entertaining for long.
This is how I got into toku.
Watching Heartcatch live.
No, I already do. I mean I didn't know so many of you watch it too.
Usually, the people who do know japanese.
Pretty sure a good portion of us are /m/ cross-boarders. It all stems from Precure being Rider/Sentai in animated form and the live-watches we join /m/ for. You eventually just end up watching the entire block.
You should really give it try if you're enjoying Precure.
Anon, I'm going to present you this gif.
It's up to you if whether or not you decide to watch Toku.
GAIM IS AWESOME
HAPCHA HAS GREAT FIRST EPISODE
RIGHT NOW IT'S ALL ON TRAIN HEROES
It's a poorly worded explanation.
It would work if text carried intonation. Sorry.
You mean it ironically, right?
Same. W and Heartcatch at the same time, how privileged we were.
>posting worst buster
>posting a buster
This is not how you convert someone into watching toku.
> Precure Thread in title
> Spoilers "Precure Thread" as if it would be some kind of surprise
Not sure about that, a lot of CR edits don't have any dedicated TLCer.
But really, was translation accuracy really a big problem in Doremi's? I know it had a lot of other issues, but if the accuracy is decent, a good editor shouldn't have any problems working on it without knowing Japanese.
From two threads back
Top years of Super Hero time
2005: Boukenger/Kaubto/Splash Star
2011: Last half of Shinkenger/W/Heartcatch
No, they're just obviously joke subs. With some flashes of brilliance, but joke subs nonetheless.
You're not wrong!
>all this shit taste
Trains is next Sunday right?
>Beet J. Stag
How can you have such shit taste?
You are incorrect. It's a 100% original TL.
How did that even start?
Is a tradition
Next episode is Kyoryuger finale. Next after that is TQG.
I hope you'll continue releasing them.
You what's really cool about HapCha, those thick lines they put on stuff
Missing last half of 2012 Gokaiger-Fourze-Smile.
And the two weeks of 2014 where we had Kyoryuger-Gaim-HaCha.
Then why are some of the lines so suspiciously similar?
It's not me making them.
TL note: "tradition" means "meme"
It is yes.
I don't know what happened to Yonemura between Kabuto and Smile Precure though. It wasn't nearly as fun
How do you know it's an original TL?
Kabuto is the Smile of Rider
He isn't missing anything at all.
Well, the person who posted them said he didn't know Japanese or English.
That's easy to handwave. It takes too much magical power, off the top of my head.
That's pretty accurate, yeah.
DokiDoki would have been better if Mana was more like Tendou. She had her moments, but they should've played up her awareness of being the best at everything more often.
>And the two weeks of 2014 where we had Kyoryuger-Gaim-HaCha.
I don't think that's very fair when its only two weeks.
>Anything like Tendou
Ha ha no.
These are Proto-Mana. Except done miles better
I've got a good feeling about Super Hero time this year
Train Sentai-Gaim-Happiness Charge will be the greatest
Because perhaps I know who did it?
Generic lines get generic translations. Likewise, lines with an obvious clever translation are often the same even from different groups.
Man, in those minutes watching the first episode, I smiled everytime I heard "Desu wa" from Ribbon.
Easily likable fairy.
Who did it?
And what a great two weeks.
>Kabuto is the Smile of Rider
No, that's Den-O
They're called weighted lines.
Often used by sakuga artists sometimes when doing cool animation.
>There is also a manga for each series, going into depth in various ignored aspects, like Rin's crush on Nuts and Saki's little sister's life.
>Rin's crush on Nuts
>crush on Nuts
You don't remember the episode when Rin went around town smashing people's testicles?
>>crush on Nuts
Surely they must have meant to write "Natts".
Coco is the reason I will probably never get through Yes5.
Yes, I know that isn't Coco.
Fucking Yes5 no complete raws.
Stop, please. my stomach hurts.
Non-fairy coco isn't bad at all.
Goddamn his voice as a fairy at least he's in the human form most of the time
No, in fact he's fucking cool.
Fairy-Coco, on the other hand, makes me want to neck myself.
Why is Nozomi so mean?
His voice is so funny that I couldn't help myself from laughting when he was doing a motivational speech
It's not her fault that Rin is bullyable.
Because Rin a shit.
Looks good to me.
Business as usual.
Also least popular Cure according to little Japanese girls.
Lower than Bloom and Egret.
I like it for not taking itself seriously.
This must be my favorite precure related image and I haven't even seen the episode/movie it's from.
I blame it entirely on the hair.
It's a great attitude to have, though I think I'll keep with Doremi and the other edits that popped up. It's too verbose for me, and the chan-san-tachi ticks me off.
It's the Yes5 movie and it's great
>Hime's corkscrew into the heart
>Hime's uppercut pose
Why is Princess's henshin noticably better than Lovely's? This isn't fair.
It's from the Y5 movie, watch it. Made me wish I could go to a Princes Theme park.
Lower than Ace?
Because no one should be lower than Ace.
He's exaggerating, there are no tachis.
Public polls with Doki were Pre-Ace reveal. This year we should know where she falls on them.
Tfw precure is good again
It's only a matter of time before they start appearing.
Lovely admiring herself after the henshin looks better than the actual henshin. The fuck?
I'll get to it. I should probably watch it before I start GoGo.
I want to believe that's not for real.
Hime's henshin looks completely remade from the PV, while Lovely's seems only half or 3/4 remade. They probably thought it was better to invest more on what needed it the most first.
I want to believe Regina is a Cure.
>not liking chan-tachi
I love being alive.
Remember a few threads back, when people were equating Doremi to TVN?
Now let's mourn all the members of /pc/ that died before HaCha ;_;7
Then you haven't experienced TV-Nihon.
Fuck, I miss that show. It was so bad in all the best ways.
I was amused before, but now I am simply mad. I'm pretty sure he announced his name like a dozen times or something.
We should give thanks to our saviour.
It's a joke at his expense. They know his name, but he's evil so fuck him.
My girlfriend passed away 2 years ago. Her favorite Precure series was HeartCatch.
Sage for blog.
My despair has been changed into hope.
>I love being alive
IN THIS BLUE COSMOS!
GO BEYOND TIME, RUN THROUGH THE SKIES.
>when are we going to get a Precure about pro wrestling?
We have one, it's called Futari Wa
I'm so sorry to hear that.
RIP in peace.
Futari wa is kickboxing. MMA at best.
I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to hit that close to home not really though, thanks anyway
Was her favorite HC Yuri? Because if so you know who to blame.
I just realized that the 7 there is supposed to be a salute.
It's all fault of that Inui Takumi guy.
I would not have realized if you had not told me. Thank you very much!
What did you think it was before, a fucking cup handle?
I been seeing since forever and I always thought it was a typo. Well, until now.
Five iterations of Precure have passed and no other pink bested Nozomi in leadership so far.
>mfw I see it too
There are small things that often surprise me like this.
I think they meant Mana to, but... Yeah.
I wonder how Megumi will fare considering they both are being written by the same person.
Nozomi is too archetypal to be an interesting character for me.
>Chinese translations without the raws scanned
God damn it.
How do I ask nicely for raws in Chinese?
To be fair, usually only the leaders are remembered in public knowledge. No one ever really knows about his supporting officers.
Really hard to say. HaCha seems like a significantly different show from Yes 5. For all we know, it might not be that character focused
How do you manage to enjoy Precure???
I know your pain. I hate it when I get excited about finding manga chapters and they end up in Chinese.
Ching Chong, Ping Pong, Starcraft II.
>How do I ask nicely for raws in Chinese?
You don't, there are so many doujins I'll never read because Chinese scan groups wont hand over their raws.
There are ten seasons, anon, enough to find something to like. Yes 5 is not my favorite season, but I enjoyed watching it to the mid point at least.
She's a very middle of the road protagonist. Not too great, but not unbearably horrible. At the very least, she's not very divisive.
Well, you know what? I respect your opinion even if I disagree with it.
>For all we know, it might not be that character focused
The first episode definitively gave me that impression, I mean, how else would the ball of issues and traumas Hime has would get resolved?
>it might not be that character focused
My ass it won't. They're already setting up Hime and Fortune character arcs.
>For all we know, it might not be that character focused
What else could a Precure season be focused on? The only thing I can think of is Smile's focus on Fun.
Yeah, that's what I mean. By interesting I mean that she never does something unexpected or unique. She's good, just plain.
All hail retools!
Jokes aside though, there's something off with condensing HC's and Suite's pattern of precure joining all in the first half. What the hell is going to happen in the second half?
We meet a country that has militarised cures.
The DokiDoki BDs are downloading slow as hell but the NCED finished which really is the most important part
I definitely remembered the 2011 time that i cried for heartcatch and W like crazy. It's superb legendary year if you asked me.
> there's something off with condensing HC's and Suite's pattern of precure joining all in the first half.
What? Honey is joining in the tens and Fortune in the twenties.
>What the hell is going to happen in the second half?
Well, Fortune joining arc is a given. Hime vs Fortune drama too.
Chinese, not Korean.
>Fortune in the twenties.
IF you're counting with a fifth Cure, yes. If not, she's coming in the 3rd cour.
Yeah. HC or Suite pattern would be the third cure joining in the mid 20's and the fourth cure formally joining the team in the thirties. In Hacha, Honey's is joining in the 10's and Fortune's joining in the mid-20's.
Post precure reaction images.
why on earth would i do that?
imagine himes mom... cute milf plus those eyecrows
Out of the line. I'm going to report you.
Wouldn't the Fortune joining arc be second cour rather than 3rd? It'll be weird if the Hime vs Fortune drama wasn't resolved by the time she joins.
A 5th Cure in the late thirties would be stupid. She can't bring in toys because it's way too late to merchandise her properly, and a Ako/Ace: Thirties Version 2.0 - 5 Focus Episodes In a Row And Straight Into The Finale would fuck up the story beyond any kind of fix.
According to the leak she's was appearing/joining in July.
Milk had a great voice both forms though.
That's episode 23-26 assuming there are no breaks whatsoever. That's clearly second cour.
One whore is missing
Looks like she's the one being laughed at.
Stop seducing me Erika
Ding Dong, Wing Wong, Dota
>Ding Dong, Wing Wong, 300 Heroes
It's like Gendem or Macross.
>Honey in the tens
All this merchandise with her on it and she's not joining for two months? I don't believe it.
Why is Karen such a boss holy shit. This episode just had a way better than usual fight (for the most part), and now that I check it looks like Kawano did it. Why do we hate him again?
Also, I totally see the Karen x Milk thing going on now. I guess the only one with no real love interest at all so far is Urara (unless you count the fans).
She's gonna be teased at the end of NS3 like they do with Secundary Riders. That way little girls can get hype for her and when she, and her toys, finally appear they can go crazy about them.
>liking ancient anime
Ew. I went reverse production order and stopped when things got too shit for me to handle.
The most amazing thing of that episode was how the Horse was able to stand-up to the fucking Kowaina-Horse. Karen breeds some top-tier horses.
From what I saw in images from these threads, there is already merchandise with her on store shelves
This is bait.
Just finished Y5.
The ending was a lot better than I expected, and even though it was a bit anti-climactic, I liked the final-boss /kinda/ redemption. Nozomi was 3cool5me.
Probably going to skip GoGo for now, time for Fresh.
But not her baton which is the most important thing.
>Probably going to skip GoGo for now, time for Fresh.
Gogo is finally fully subbed and this is new watchers' reaction?
There's nothing particularly wrong with Smile or Doki Doki's but they don't hold a candle to GoGo's.
>League of Wan Piss
Urara gets romance in Gogo, but sadly Milk and Karen are shafted hard.
As for why the fight was good, consider that two elements go into an animated scene. The animation itself, and the storyboard. The animation determines the little things, the style, the detail of the movements, and the use of various effects. The storyboard dictates the broader scheme of things, the was a scene is "shot" or composed and the general patterns of movement. That scene had lackluster animation but very good composition. The little things were bad but the big things were badass
Plus it's fucking Karen on a horse. Jun Arai could do that fight and it would still kick ass.
I skipped MH too, I'll get round to them eventually. I just don't feel like watching the same team for 100 episodes.
Kids these days have it good
Yes, I didn't mention it in my first post, but there were some awful shots of the girls flying away and just getting smaller instead of having actual weight and movement. I'm rewatching small parts now, and it's really obvious how many corners were cut.
Where can I see who did storyboarding and animation and all that stuff for HaCha? Ann doesn't have the information yet.
Is storyboard writing? What's the difference between everything? Who does what exactly? You seem knowledgeable.
I just realized that Doki's ann page stopped being updated around episode 33. That's hilarious.
Isn't that when Commie fell behind?
I think we're about to crack open a huge can of conspiracy here.
Fucking Japan will draw anything, won't they?
Would you babysit a Hime?
>Precures will never joust again
Why is Hime not enrolling in Megumi's school under her real name, Himelda Window Cure Queen of the Blue Sky? She had to make up the obviously fake name Shiroyuki Hime instead.
Not him but to put it simple...
sketch <-> drawing
storyboard <-> animation
Here's a pic of Suite's storyboard for the first episode.
The storyboards contain a rough sketch of each scene with directions how characters should move, how the screen is supposed to pan, etc.
Storyboard isn't writing.
Here's typically how it goes.
Writer makes a script, edited by director, producers, and such
Director takes script and together with animation directors and key animators, puts together a storyboard. It's basically a comic strip version of the end product, with the characters drawn out, the key scenes planned, etc etc. It also has notes detailing how the camera should move and what not.
Then the first Key animators take it and start filling in the gaps
Then 2nd keys
Then it all gets scanned, cleaned, colored in, dubbed, and edited.
Then you get Precure.
I want a copy
I feel like there are some steps missing in there. Like the unicorn blood ritual, or the bath of little girl tears at the plastic Bandai altar.
It hasn't even begun.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ???
This is supposed to be what exactly? Singing? The instruments? Chatter?
It's Mephisto's laugh, it says so above.
I'm quite partial to the Hime brainfuck image.
Yes, that's right.
It's the dialogue for that scene.
2:37 of episode 1.
Mephisto hijacks the concert and does his evil laugh.
That's what the inbetweeners do. What, you don't think they're animators, living on slave wages and working 60 hour weeks, by choice, do you?
Shouldn't the episode directors be the ones that translate the storyboard into something the KAs can understand?
Oh yeah. I like how she's basically just a dumb little kid, not a fashion model or a mind numbingly hot sex goddess like certain other cures. I totally want to take care of her and make sure she goes to school in the mornings.
Wait, really? It's amazing what type of trivia you learn from shows for little girls.
>mind numbingly hot sex goddess like certain other cures
That's all of them though.
Gaijin is not welcomed in japan.
That's why himelda had to make up a fake japanese name.
KAs usually work straight from storyboard. First keys at least. Some KAs do entire scenes by themselves. That's where a lot of Sakuga comes from.
The blue roses you can buy are dyed by giving white roses colored water.
Though they're working on making genetically engineered ones now.
>not being an expert florist
Look at this faggot.
My grandmother used to be an avid gardener until her stroke, so I grew up learning a lot of shit about plants.
Let's say every dance form has its own episode, and next week they still have the normal form going by the preview. You'd have two weeks plus four weeks, then a plot episode that sets up Yuko's involvement, and her reveal in the next. There, two months.
Then what does the episode director do?
How did you not learn that? I learned it on pre-school one time we got a make roses of your favorite color homework.
>The blue roses you can buy are dyed by giving white roses colored water.
They absorb colored water and turn that color?
There's something elegant about that. It seems like a waste to spend effort making it "natural"
Make sure the KA don't fuck up, that everything is going smoothly, everything is the same style
>They absorb colored water and turn that color?
Pretty much. Simple, right?
They've had them for half a decade now
Ironically, it was developed by Suntory, the Japanese whiskey company.
Direct episodes. Duh?
That explains it. I went to preschool in flip land.
>Cure Aqua is blue. Blue water.
So Milk's been sucking Karen's blue water?
>It's clearly violet
You thought blue roses were real?
What the hell man?
Well, that explains Milky Rose's color.
That makes a surprising amount of sense.
She was white to begin with.
Not really. It's more like a bluish periwinkle. Or a lavender
>Direct episodes. Duh?
What does direct episodes mean, and why are there two of them for every episode?
That's the job of the animation directors.
One will probably direct animation, while the other will direct VAs.
Is this a real word? It sounds like a Harry Potter spell.
>They absorb colored water and turn that color?
Yes, have you never done this as a kid?
You can cut the stalk in four parts and put each stalk-quarter into a different glass of colored water.
And... boom, you've got this
That rose had a little too much LSD.
>Yes, have you never done this as a kid?
No ;_; The only fun thing I remember doing is making tinfoil boats when learning about buoyancy or something
Did you go to school in a concentration camp?
Are you 80 years old or something?
NO, WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
Dammit, everyone else got the good kindergarten teachers.
>mfw Steve got replaced by a douchebag
>mfw Blue talked
You just don't do these things man.
It means a lot of different things. It's actually a very vague position.
Some of the more common duties include
- Editing animation to make sure its consistent
- Drawing storyboards
- Overseeing dubbing process
- Color checks and compositing
- Editing of the scenes
- Even draw scenes themselves
Again, these are very vague terms. Some episode directors will have more influence, some will have less. Shaft is a great example. Shinbou is always either entirely hands on or entirely hands off. In Bake, Shinbou was "Director" by name but Oishii the "Series Director" had far more impact on the visual style. On the other hand, Shinbou has been known to draw keys for important scenes himself, credited under a pseudonym. Etc etc.
I have a terrible memory? Maybe?
No, because every educator I has was a bored piece of shit that didn't give half a fuck. My parents included.
I think I did it with my parents, though.
Not him but the most exciting things my grade school science classes did was raise caterpillars into butterflies.
Most of them were born with missing or wet wings and couldn't fly when we released them. Including mine.
Who /glitterforce/ here?
>credited under a pseudonym.
That explains it
Nothing's come of that yet, has it?
Speaking of which, did anyone here ever actually watch the 4kids dub of Futari Wa?
I want to further spoil that smile.
I saw it on TV once when I was flipping through channels. The voice acting and stuff was okay, but the localization really hurt. Why listen to me when you can watch it yourself though?
I almost have my Forklift license. Shit's pretty fun, yo.
I thought 4kids had the rights for awhile but did nothing with them before some Canadian company did the English dub?
Haven't seen it anyway but I did download a dual audio release and am morbidly curious
>what is iqdb
That looks simple enough to make one of these days.
> People talking about how the first episode of HaCha reminded them of LWA early today
> Not bringing up that Hime has Akko's VA
For shame, whoever you guys were.
Jesus, imagine artists making Hentai OVA's of Precure or something.
>Animated doujins become a reality
I sometimes switched to the English track while watching Futari wa a couple months ago.
The localization wasn't egregiously offensive, the worst usually being the usual suspects like names, locations, and foods. Hell, even the chorus episode wasn't too bad considering localizing songs is pretty hard to do at times.
The audio quality itself was abysmal though. I know Futari wa looks like a 90s anime, but the dub audio felt like someone recorded it onto a VHS tape, played it back, and re-recorded it with a microphone against the speaker.
>not just redrawing the henshin sequences making them naked
>implying it's possible for Milk to turn Karen off
It's funny how wildly different localizations can be.
German version's pretty good.
>Mepple: I'm glad to be born Japanese!
So these are the two I've heard so much about.
What a couple of frigid bitches.
His cook's expression back then was fucking rich.
ORANGE ARMS, JINBA LEMON. HAHA.
You won't think that for long.
You'll see anon, you'll see
I wonder what Micchy saw.
The horrors of another year with Doki2
Should've save the others
PreCure is the Truman Show?
My first thought was "Huh, Ako looks really weird in that shot."
Dammit, I lost the gif of the matched-up eyerolls that I wanted to include in this post.
>gettin real tired of your shit
Is there something she can't do?
Get a second season.
Avoid gaining a harem?
They could have had an episode devoted to Mana's weakness being that she has no weakesses, like they did with Daigo in Kyoryu.
Appear in HaCha as the prime minister.
Be a good Cure
Walk the path of heaven
Not being a shit character.
Why do the Smile designs lend themselves so well to CG, anyway?
She can't make me like her.
>dem Infinity Legs
Breasts do not work that way.
>Fix my shit taste
There you go mate, fixed it there for you.
Tsubomi's skirt is much too short. I feel like a predator just looking at it.
Did she gave herself the power be a Cure by her future-self?
Daigo's weakness was having no weakness.
I can't read the nip, is that from NS2?
Most of the precure designs lend themselves well to CG. Excepting Heartcatch.
>Pretty Cure Ending Movie Collection ~Let's Dance Together!~
I too remember when spats were visible
I love little touches like this.
That's the dance instruction BD
Welp, here we go!
I'm not sure how I would feel if a HaCha villain would try this type of thing. There are villain ikemen, but none of them really look like Cure love interests except for maybe Red.
After the Gen'ei OVA
Not a real weakness since everyone could have had that. Seemed like a rushed attempt at giving him something to ground him.
Oh a game. Shame I don't have a Wii.
Kinect precure dance game when?
You're lacking love my friend. You seem to forget that all she needs is love to make anything possible. So give the series another season and who knows?
Just pointing out that's all.
It's not a game.
There's no new footage.
It's just the CG endings on a single BD.
Are you saying that Tendou doesn't know love?
Doki is like Kabuto except without all the good things about Kabuto.
I'm stupid, didn't read the google link I clicked properly.
Oh shit Nagisa, what are you doing?
Thanks for the troll subs Doremi.
Thank god the doki batch finally finished downloading, time to catch up.
Bring MakoP's mother back to life
I MUST MATE WITH YOUR PRECURE FEMALES
BRING THEM TO ME
This is the ugliest pink I have ever seen.
Reality has no place in porn.
He's got a wiener
Why didn't they put makeup on his neck too?
Wait a minute. What? Where?
This is the ugliest green I have ever seen.
So is Red #0 then?
Who said sentai goes from 1-5?
Spats are great.
Suite only managed to be good without them because of all the fanart of the Cures with frilly panties. Kanade is such a saucy minx.
No, he's Red.
The Green and Blue rangers are ALSO wearing lipstick.
Thats kinda bullshit. Why would they release that beast after the pillar of manliness that was Daigo?
So, you stopped at Dokidoki?
>pillar of manliness
Moms you fool.
Ikemen are the reason moms don't bitch about super sentai and kamen rider.
Wouldn't the mums enjoy that manly meat?
Mom's complained about Daisuke, though maybe that's because he had spiky hair.
Maybe Dads are the real issue. They want to feel superior to dudes in spandex.
Well, moms also like cute boys.
They'd rather play with their daughters if anything.
Toei often jumps towards the opposite of the previous year to keep things from going stale. See Smile - Doki, Wizard - Gaim, but in Kyoryuger's case I think they went too far into the abyss.
I would actually like it if Lovely had something like that, except with past Pinks cheering instead.
This is my first time watching precure.
I really liked that first episode a lot. It was very cute. I don't know if anyone already made this gif.
That would be cool.
I don't think so actually.
Also, have fun with your trip into Precure. Remember that you're here forever!
>Maybe Dads are the real issue
Are you telling me that nihonese salarymen are actually at home on sundays? Shouldn't they be working?
They watch it on the TV at the bar while drinking with their bosses.
I'm exactly the same, this episode was my first foray into Precure and I was not disappointed.
I would rather a NewStage version of this.
They have children to take care if they want to survive.
>too drunk to change channel
>They watch it on the TV at the bar while drinking with their bosses.
"Yes sir! Black is obviously best waifu sir!"
Does every Precure season get this many "my first Precure!!!" posts?
Its been snowballing the past few seasons.
I've come into these threads to say that for Smile and for Doki.
wonder how is like to watch precure with a business suit on
We get these every day.
Doki had some too. I was one of them.
HeartCatch got a lot because it came right after Cashern, which was moderately popular at the time.
It tapers off after the initial rush. Smile and Doki were like this, from what I can recall. Smile's first episode was about as ridiculously bubblegummy as HaCha's first episode is, and Doki had Commie's circlejerk swarm in.
The people that stick with it, assimilate pretty quickly though.
Why does this mean what I can tell it means from context? It makes no sense.
I've seen Precure before, I watched a good chunk of Futari Wa and Heartcatch years ago when the latter was airing, but I never finished them back then even though I remember liking them both.
After watching HaCha's first episode partly out of boredom the other day and enjoying it, I decided to try watching the original again, and I'm loving it so far.
If you think that's good, you're going to love the seasons that aren't shit.
He probably means cute and genki.
Such as Dokidoki
Bright, colourful, hyperactive, upbeat, deliberately aimed at teens/preteens. Basically, everything Precure is anyway, just it gets ramped up a lot for the first episode or two.
Somebody needs to make a version that permanently loops.
Yes, I get that. I'm asking WHY it means that. What the hell does bubblegum have to do with it?
No need to get into linguistic details like that.
Context is king. Even if you have never seen a certain word, you can generally figure out its intended meaning based on the way it sounds, the surrounding phrase, and the audible inflections.
So yeah, a word like bubblegum makes you think of something generally sweet and for kids.
This is the best thing
>use "bubblegum" because it just sounds fitting
>it's an adjective now
Fucking language man. Why's it gotta evolve and shit?
The word is older than you, I'd wager.
I give up.
Language has defeated me.
Far as I can tell from a few minutes of googling (seriously, you can do this shit yourself) it came to mean what it means because someone in the music industry thought "hey, this is a good word to describe what we're selling" and it stuck from there.
Welcome to /English/
Skinnier face and lose the glasses and that actually looks like me.
i want to lick not-nagisa's salty eyebrows
Some other languages have government agencies that have to approve of such change like Spanish. English isn't one of them, and has become a melting pot of languages for better or worse.
Just kidding, that was a lie.
H-here I go!
Truly an unholy, fucked up language
Well it is ambiguous now that you mention it, but trying to measure his or anyone's love to Mana's will see nothing short of silly. In terms of minagiru ai, Mana a best.
>has become a melting pot of languages for better or worse
"The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and riffle their pockets for new vocabulary."
>You can't use that word!
>Try and stop me
I can't imagine language being regulated like that. On the other hand, I'm not sure how I feel about internet words being officially adopted into the dictionary either.
There are a few things I will never approve of.
>wearing socks with sandals
>wearing socks in bed
>referring to pizza as "za"
>internet words being officially adopted
There's nothing wrong with socks+sandals.
Or socks in bed.
Or socks with sandals in bed.
Megumi's big ai >>>> Mana's minagiru ai
Before even clicking that link
People like you need to be stopped.
I will let you know.
>wearing socks in bed
How am I supposed to keep my feet warm without the rest of me getting too hot, huh? Got an answer for that?
The word raccoon does have Native American origins. That quote is terrifyingly accurate.
For dicks, yes
Get a dog bro. They keep your feet warm and you keep them warm.
And the best part is you now have someone else to blame when you gotta make poopsies but don't make it all the way to the bathroom. Just blame the dog.
Sandals are bad enough, particularly being Australian and seeing 70% of people wearing them on a daily basis.
Add socks to the equation and you're really cruising for a bruising.
Pfft, Love ain't gonna do shit to Mana. She can have sloppy seconds with Inori after Mana restores her heart throbbing excitement.
LoL x PreCure
Aoki Reika/Cure Beauty = Ashe
Not even once.
Does anybody else love Hime's shoes?
I know this is kind of a weird thing to be obsessing over but I find shoes like that extremely adorable
>League of Casuals
Dota's fun though
I never paid attention to them but if the way they're tied to her ankle in that picture is accurate... I don't know what that is. Stupidly adorable?
>Playing gay dota
>Playing any kind of dota
Here we watch cartoons for little girls mate. Take this shit back to /v/.
I want the MOBA genre to go.
You are a gentleman of fine taste.
Everything about Hime's civs are adorable.
After lurking here for a few days, I'm surprised how tolerant this place is compared to deviantart and tumblr. They constantly have shit fights over the stupidest shit there. Yeah people here say that your opinion is shit from time to time, but it's either all for fun or it's taken lightly because it's not worth getting into a fight for.
Glad that I found a place where I can discuss about dem kawaii magical girls, keep up the good work guys I love you all
Flipland has many LoL players.
You know what's up.
Yeah, fuck you too.
>Not playing Dota
>Not winning with the power of anime
3300 MMR How do I git gud
Hahahahahhha. Sometimes we take things seriously, and it is horrible. Like that guy who would not fucking stop defending Mana from the stupidest accusations last year. Is he still around? Please don't let him be around.
I want /v/ to leave.
Your kind is not welcome around these parts
You aren't either.
/v/ pls go
This is all Mana's fault
We know Cure Lovely had her catchphrase and name picked out well in advance, cause she's a spaz like that. But does Honey? I want to see Megumi trying to lead Yuuyuu with transparent questions.
This is your brain on shrooms, Komachi.
Your constant threads are making me want to pick up Precure but
>hundreds and hundreds of episodes
Why are you doing this to me?
The newest season JUST STARTED. Hop on. You can pick up the rest at your own pace.
>HURR DURR THIS IS A GOOD IDEA
I almost had respect for Nozomi after the manager thing.
I think it'd be fun if cures had to go out of their way not to get caught, but that only seems to come up one or two episodes a season.
The seasons aren't connected outside of Max Heart and GoGo being sequels to Futari wa and Yes 5. You can start anywhere. We usually recommend Heartcatch, but the new season just started.
Hopping onto the new season is perfectly fine, but if you have trouble deciding which to marathon first, use this.
Just start the new season, or watch a season you like the character designs of.
I still have 200 episodes to go.
There are only about 480 episodes of cute girls doing cute things and saving the world anon.
I don't see the issue
Not counting movies, I have 6 episodes left.
Christ, what are you going to do after that?
Not that guy, but guess I'll be watching Flesh next.
>Do this 5 times
This certainly is accurate.
I was curious what the link was, so I checked it out.
It gave me Fresh, which I literally just started a few minutes ago.
Given the amazingly hight QUALITY of Fresh, it probably isn't the best starting point.
I've been saving the crossover movies for last after I watch the GoGo movie.
Then I have to get going on the UC timeline, marathon Fighbird and Da Garn, miscellaneous anime on my backlog, start my second season of KR, get started on SS, vidya...
Oh, I assumed it was a continuous long running series. I can't really justify not watching at least some of it if that's the case.
I think there is a strong chance this is eventually going to become the single longest anime series I ever watch. I'm going to be here for a while, aren't I.
Not him but, I'm close to finishing Precure and I plan to just binge on other little girl shows.
It's pretty amazing if you like QUALITY.
I've already watched.
>tfw 425ish episodes left
I hopped on for Doki so my backlog has been Smile > HC > Futari wa/MH (I'm here) > Y5/GG > SS > Fresh > Suite.
Max Heart is just so damn hard to watch more than 1 episode at a time. I'm hoping Y5/GG will go faster than this otherwise I might cheat and watch Fresh or Suite alongside it.
Just so you know, we flip our shit over the smallest things. I think the threads almost suffered a meltdown after someone made it seem like the Cures were 15 years old. Crazy shit.
The great thing about Precure is there's no pressure to get it finished. I'd start with Smile or Heartcatch and then watch the more recent stuff before going on to Fresh, Yes5 and FW.
Just wait until you decend the little girl show spiral of madness or get sucked into Toku. Both are happening to me. Help.
>I almost had respect for Nozomi after the manager thing.
She might be retarded but she still has my respect as the best leader, best pink and best cure.
In fact, being retarded only makes her accomplishments more praiseworthy.
>I'm going to be here for a while, aren't I.
Implying they will let you go.
Cheat. Seriously, MH is a slog.
If you're getting into Toku you're already getting help.
GoGo is faster than Max Heart. While it does do some things worse than Yes 5, the difference in quality isn't as extreme.
The Fresh's might be. They're the most stacked.
And MKTN is far to KNPK to be 11 or 12.
They're usually 14 and they've all had their periods.
14 is the perfect age.
>I'm going to be here for a while, aren't I.
At least you'll have fun.
Yes!5 has some good EDs
That is a serious case of manface in that screenshot. But yes Nozomi does a good job of stepping up to the plate, when she isn't being square-peg-round-hole retarded
I've just started Yes5 and I love the first ED.
It doesn't feel like a Precure ED at all though.
Don't worry, it goes by pretty quick once you start
Since there's one airing now, I'll watch it with /a/ and then go back to HC.
I'm assuming I should go with [Doremi-LPHH] as the only other option seems to be >Commie
You know, we should make a recommendation quiz for Precure. Something like this
Some of the episodes in GoGo are animated by someone who has watched a lot of FMA.
While I can see someone may find this manly, out of every director who worked on GoGo this is my favorite.
>Precure by Hiromu Arakawa
Also, back to watching Max Het. I think I've finally reached the moment of no turning back. I've endured Porun for 50 episodes, but I think the time has finally come.
Put Cardcaptor Sakura before Precure and add Otogi-juushi Akazukin in there somewhere. Zukkyun!
Yes, go with D-LPHH. Not that either one is good by /pc/'s standards, but who cares.
I really like how those look.
Why not? Seems like a good way to introduce someone to the franchise.
The last time I suggested a chart, it took nearly a week for the threads to recover.
I think just telling everyone to start with HC is simple and safe
enough for both ends.
Not that you really have a choice.
Unless Commie have picked it up and I didn't notice.
There is one, but I lost the link. Trying to find it now, but I know it is on a Wordpress blog.
Looking pretty Smile there, Nozomi.
The second one feels even less like typical Precure.
One thing I can't work out is that most ED's/OPs have a really good hook on the first 10 seconds or so, then it turns into typical jpopish glurge and I just tune it out.
Ooh, I remember watching that as it aired. It's been a long time. Dem squeaky shoes!
Lulun may be annoying, but she doesn't come close to the total level of anguish I got from Porun total.
The existance of such a thing isn't the problem. The problem is /pc/ making one.
I want to fuck Itsuki.
But I also want to fuck Sunshine
How do I choose?
Even if they do, there's no guarantee it'll be good. Apparently the only reason Commie's Doki was any worth was because someone took a liking for Mana.
I want to cuddle with Itsuki.
Oh I was just going on AniDB, no idea if they've actually released yet.
Commie's file is actually just a raw.
I believe some of their staff did show interest, but not enough to get together a full team for it, so we'll see. Hopefully not since just mentioning their name invites drama.
Fuck you for making my backlog longer.
You have seen Akazukin ChaCha, right?
Fuck her mid-henshin
How many can you recognise, /pc/?
YOUR FAVORITE PRECURE GETS AN 8 EPISODE OVA
It ends exactly like GaoGaiGar Final
Are you happy or not?
These threads are like horrible vortexes that devour unsuspecting /a/nons and scramble their brains with images of cute girls that make their hearts go dokidoki.
I have no problem with this.
No. Too old for me.
Ten, I think.
Are those Archer's swords, and is that Ayumu's chainsaw?
Not as many as I'd like.
I haven't watched GaoGaiGar, so I'm going to pretend that means it ends with Regina becoming a Cure even if my favorite is Smile.
Never watched it, what would happen to my Smiles?
Few enough to be called a casual.
Every fucking time, Bunbee.
I think someone else posted about this episode earlier so I'll just power through it.
Basically, only Candy would live.
They defeat a super big bad evil trying to destroy the universe but end up trapped in a pocket dimension unable to escape as it collapses, only able to let the two youngest members of their group escape this fate.
I don't know them all either.
lovely pretty yay kawaii
lots of precure memories
strong awesome stories
precure future memories
Good thing Yayoi and Candy are the only two that matter.
Hard choice between FW and Doki[/spoiler. But I think I'll go with Smile just because Bad End Cures need to come back for more than one bloody episode...
I don't like this one bit.
Futari Wa. WHAT NOW.
Is Yayoi the youngest?
Who knows. She seems like it.
Translate the comic title right now you lazy piece of shit
Well, hope you like Porun and Lulun!
"I want to suck Mana's cock"
You have to factor in the Fairy's
Do you think that Black and White would really sacrifice Porun and Lulun to save themselves?
Don't tell me even Porun is scared of Lulun?
I think Porun wouldn't be allowed to go on such a dangerous journey, and Lulun doesn't exist yet. The Precure would just have to come up with new powerups in true GGG fashion.
Yes. Lulun is a worse fairy than Porun, but the sheer suffering Porun experiences because of her makes up for it.
You forgot to factor in Pops.
Do you think any of the Cures would be willing to abandon their 4 friends to save themselves?
Now, they'd guilt Pops into taking Candy and leaving them behind and then CRUNCH
No more Smiles
Speaking of which, LPHH has subbed something around 4 episodes now. Anyone notice any errors like we started noticing from Doremi about midway through Doki?
He's right though.
Even over 50 episodes later, pouty Honoka is still best Honoka.
for those of you that have seen both, have do Precure and Aikatsu compare? I've decided to run headlong into these, I'm expecting Pretty Cure antics and happiness, am I far off?
Hate to break it to you, but Doremi has had errors for years. You survived those seasons and you can survive this one.
How old are Candy and Pop?
How long are fairy years compared to human years? Do they age in the same way?
I always considered Pop as possibly even hundreds of years old, therefor making Candy possibly hundreds if not decades old as well.
The point is no real Cure would abandon their friends to be CRUNCHED
If anyone's getting out of the pocket dimension it's the Fairy's
Found it: tinyurl com/starterprecure
Me too. I want her to keep me warm.
Why not both?
The only parts that exist in both are henshin scenes (kinda) and cute girls.
Pop would sacrifice himself for Candy, no doubt.
I reckon that other anon had it right. Pop would stay to save Candy, and the other four Precure would stay to save Yayoi.
I know I would
Smile with idols.
I've been here too long. Knowing exactly what seasons each question will lead to, without even watching half of them.
Aikatsu is a very serious and dark series most of the time. It's not really that similar to precure. I gave it up around the fourth torture scene. Too intense for me.
Bunbee will do an intro right?
Is Yes5 supposed to be this funny?
Haha that sound of utter disgust mixed with fear. I love it.
Yukari Tamura Cure when?
Yes and no. It has both antics and seriousness.
HOW'S IT FEEL MOTHERFUCKER
> implying Candy wouldn't break the laws of reality once again and somehow bring everyone out without understanding how she did it
It hasn't even begun.
>have do Precure and Aikatsu compare?
>I'm expecting Pretty Cure antics and happiness
First of all, Aikatsu and Precure are similar in that they're income for Bandai and that they have cute girls. Look-a-likes and VAs too. As far as antics and happiness go, you'll find lots of them, just not quite Precure style antics. There are also some arcs where shit gets a bit serious and dramatic but those usually end well.
Does Aikatsu suffering ever get as good as mid-Smile suffering?
I've been waiting for this guy to make his move. He won't disappoint, will he?
I'm so hype for this shit, that all sounds wonderful. I checked out the VA's for both and they have some best imo, how did these shows managed to get such great VA's, is it just because Precure has been going on for ages?
>how did these shows managed to get such great VA's, is it just because Precure has been going on for ages?
Don't underestimate the influence of Sunrise, Toei and Bandai.
Happy page 10!
All the voice actors wish to be the little girl.
Bandai and Sunrise can do wonders. Just mind you, CG is kind of lacking for the first half of the first season, so try to bear with it.
Just saw his first episode, it's another good one. I'm loving how every single episode is character driven and has development.
VAs these days grew up on precure.
This is the improvement chart, for anyone's reference.
>Just mind you, CG is kind of lacking for the first half of the first season, so try to bear with it.
I wish Sunrise had done the CG instead of outsourcing it.
We aren't quite there yet. Don't girls quit watching around age 10? Give it 5 or 10 more years and they will be for sure.
Less money for more money Anon.
That doesn't look as good as HaCha.
Aikatsu's lead actress was born in 1999 anon, plenty of time to fall in love with Precure.
>Aikatsu's lead actress was born in 1999
Oh, that makes me feel old.
How old was she when Aikatsu started?
I think 14.
She might still be in her Precure phase for all we know.
>Precure or Aikatsu
>Desribed with word "dark" or "serious"
I wonder how many Japanese little girls cling to hope of becoming a precure up until age 12 or so. Is it like the "Hogwarts letter" of Japan?
I want this simply because I know if it'd ever happen there would be an influx of images of her with Cure Blossom.
>There is an Aikatsu light novel targeted at "children"
I'm going to be depressed if I try to read this and can't. Not risking it.
You wish. They'll make a few seiyuu jokes and it'll die.
