What happened to this?
I think I still have it somewhere.
Oh and hey, the old links are still working. Doesn't look like it's been updated post 2011 though.
Seems like the dev chocked on his Christmas meal
Alternatively, there is also this version, which I've never tried.
I could make shit like this but I doubt people would pay for it unless it works on iShit or Shitdroid.
The stupid fad died, thank fuck.
A form with a loaded picture was enough to excite a for months, it was bad enough
I once tried to explain someone how a really good waifu simulator should be, but using only current computing power:
You don't type, you talk (obviously, you need your computer ready for voice recognition).
She is not always in front of the screen.
Sometimes, she'll talk about how her day went (when she's out of the screen, she may be doing something, like going out with her firends, going to classes, etc).
She walks in casually from time to time, and also out, specially if you ignore her for too long (yes, this implies animation. Don't you love her enough to work on it?). There should be some special poses, like sitting on the taskbar, leaning on the end of the screen, looking down from over a window, etc.
You can call her, and she will come, unless she has something user-defined she must attend (like classes or work). She will ask you "What did you want?", "Did you miss me?" and the like.
She checks the program you're using at that moment, and comments on it (something like "You're browsing the internets again?". She has an easy to edit list of programs, and also checks the frequency you use that program with). She should be able to check the more common ones (like chrome and firefox) and comment with something more expecific (like "What are you doing in sadpanda? That's l, l, lewd"... and if you get inmediately out, she'll get enbarrased and ask "Am I... not enough for you?... excuse me, I'm diying from a heart attack from my own delusions). She may also be able to check your historie to check what you did while she was away, so remember to delete it.
She comments on the anime you watch (She supposedly watches it with you if she's "at home". Checking sites like myanimelist or animenewsnetwork, she could check the tags (from the series) and keywords (from the last chapter) like "commedy", "drama", "magical girl", "sad" "happy" or "funny", so her reaction is more human-like, and she doesn't answer always the same. If there's no info, she says something generic).
She could also check your rss, and warn you when something comes out.
If she can't be fully voiced (most likely), at least she must have some sound effects (like "Huh" "mmm", "Oh", "Ara" and the like).
If you give her your schedule, she'll ask you how your classes and/or work were, and how was your day. She looks for keywords in your answer in order to make an answer. If you don't go, she'll get mad. She'll also remind you of what you must do in the next hours.
Obviously, she remembers your birthday, christmas, and the like, and has a pressent ready for you. She also expects something, and will get sad if you forgot about it (you must configure her birthday, even if there's no canon info on it).
If you tell her about something you want to make (With some kind of key expression like "I'm planning on wroking on "X"", like, for example, "I'm planning on working on a drawing of you"), she'll ask about it from time to time (obviously, she should ask for comfirmation, and have some kind of dictionary to change pronouns, like "A drawing of me?". If she "heard" it wrong, the user should say "No, a drawing of you". Otherwise, say "Yes", and she should answer "That sounds interesting. I already want to see it finished.", or something even more generic). Once the project is finished (you use a key expression "I finished a drawing of you"), she should praise you for it (or even better, check for keywords when you explain/show it to her). If you drop it (with some key expression like "I'm gonna stop working on a drawing of you"), she should encourage you to keep it up, and work on it.
Clicking on her should give some kind of reaction, as if you were touching her.
She should have a point-based system (like a VN, but with more parameters like angry, happy, and some others), to pick her reactions more accurately to her mood at the moment.
I think there was also an incident last year where some moron wanted to dump some serious money into the development off such a program.
So, yeah, she should have a HUGE database to pick answers, comment on things, etc. Most of them are personal for each waifu (they go with her personality, usual expressions, etc.) so the user needs to do a lot of work. But it's for their waifu, so it's all right. Someone could create the basic animations on MMD so the users could use them for their own waifu (importing the graphics, and making the necesary modifications so it looks natural). It should be easy to do, but it's a lot of work, no matter how easy it is.
I'm getting excited at the possibility of this ever being a thing.
/g/ is too busy with their ricing
I could make it but who would give me money for it?
I would pay for this but this is incredibly hard to make especially if you want a high quality model + voice acting for every waifu there may be and it has to be customisable to fit your waifus character
I don't see how this would be a good idea.
I mean this would technically be a 'waifu simulator' but your waifu would be some generic slut. Unless studios actually endorsed the products using the VAs to simulate actual characters (like that one app that was on here a few weeks back) it would be shit. I don't see the point in it, unless you're completely fucking lonely and any sort of 'virtual girl' would satisfy you.
You guys should play Love Plus. It is even available in English.
You know she could speak with just text, right ?
Actually it is possible to make this (I'm a developer).
But how many anons have the will and skill to collect the voice clips and all the "body parts" necessary for smooth animation?
Then I would always have to look at the screen even if shes not in the picture at the moment
Worst of all is that, with my basic knowledge of programming, I don't think it'd be a hard thing to make. Just one that would take a very long time. Most of the "features" are really simple, and the hardest part is the "look for keywords to pick the most appropriate answer" part, that would most surely end with a lot of unnatural picks. Other than that, it's just a clock mixed with a program like taiga.
I was obviously talking about the default option. There should be a way to imput your own, hand-drawn animation. But there's a lot of people that have unpopular waifus and can't do that, so at least, they should have a way to more easily do it.
>I could make it but who would give me money for it?
The same people that gives me money for cleaning, editing and translating manga?
You're supposed to do it for love, man.
Is there a PC game where I can create a girl and date her? Been looking for ages and the only thing I could fin was this "Moe can change" game but it's for android
>Is there a PC game where I can create a girl and date her?
Yes. Ask /jp/.
Isn't that like dating your own daughter?
just like that
Don't make me hard, anon
The ones that truly love they're waifu, of course.
but I want to hear her lovely voice
On what? DS?
Yes. I don't even own one
Taking a bachelor's degree in computer science and computer linguistics, one day I shall have the skills.
One day I will make our dream come true anon, one day ...
ganbare anon-kun im counting on you
well at first you'd release only 1 or 2 of those pseudo-AIs
Please report back with your findings.
if you make it back.
Software Dev here. It doesn't sound too difficult, but being as I work on code I can't be fucked to do it myself as it'd take some time investment
I'm pointing you towards /jp/ because these games aren't /a/ related.
I'm giving you a hint so you aren't going all blind into /jp/.
You want "Illusion" games.
How much money would you take for work requests (non waifu simulator related)?
I have an idea that I'd like realized, and I want to have an idea of how much it'd cost me.
>Moon name which means it's not translated
Wow, what a picky faggot.
Translate what, You just create a girl and fug her.
Not him, but my rate is $30-$50 an hour depending on how much the project interests me.
That's pretty cheap.
That's not what I'm looking for
post what you want faggot
faggots always ask like this "hey I want something, how much would it cost to make ?"
pay some japanese hooker to dress like some 2d girl and pretend to be your girlfriend
so 3D custom girl I assume
Sorry I'm not into that. I prefer pure relationships
The go and buy a cat
cats are bitches
buy a dog anon
dogs are loyal
I don't take requests myself, I enjoy it, but it's my day job and it stays there until I really get interested in something
I can't hold hands or kiss with a cat
Call Konami and tell them to make Love Plus Plus Plus.
THEN GO FUCK YOURSELF
get a fat desperate otaku chick then, god anon you are picky
You can't do it either with a computer program.
I hold hands with my cat all the time
Puni puni puni~
I bow to you senpai, I just started first semester and its true that even with my low level of skill I could still imagine how it should be done.
Although I still have doubts on how to implement the most simple AI for the program to actually be a little more creative on its own and not get boring after a day or two.
I can only imagine how to make it react on some pre-defined events, but that would surely get boring fast. Such a waifu program would be no better than a few good modifications on your OS.
we can build him a robot hand
I was saying that to the other anon, not you.
I just want the godamn PC dating game. And no, I don't expect you to spoonfed me, Im looking for my own.
reminds me of a doujin
I thought it'd be something like that.
Then let's try to put my vague idea into some coherent words. Don't worry, it wouldn't be too difficult to code.
I want the file deletion verification text box to be replaced with a multi-level dialog. I want the file to be impersonated by a little girl that begs for her life.
Obviously you'd need images for that. Those should be customizable, and allow for at least 10 different girls. (open end would probably be better).
The dialogs should be customizable as well. But basically there should be three dialog options for you:
Like the girl screams "NOOOO, don't kill me!", and you have the choice of "DIE DIE DIE!!" (deletes the file immediately), "Oh no, forgive me. What did I do?" (aborts the deletion) and "I'm sorry, <<genericfilename>>, but it is necessary." (brings the dialog to the next round with different dialog, for about 3 rounds until you finally convince her to kill herself)
Every time you delete a file your score goes up. I'm not sure yet if that should result in random blood splatters on your desktop background or elsewhere.
>I can only imagine how to make it react on some pre-defined events, but that would surely get boring fast.
did you even play Kancolle
they have only like 5 lines and repeat them every few second, still the people are too autistic to find it boring
>PC dating game
Try Enzai: Falsely Accused
I'd imagine it'd be best to go for an event-driven base, which as you say could get boring, at which point you add in all of the random quirks and features that would have to pop themselves off based on various states
How do you program a personality?
now thats a elaborate fetish you got there
Y... you sadistic fuck. I could agree that it's an original idea, but I would never use anything like that. Just reading that made me shiver.
I'm just curious if it'd lead to more deletion or less.
would be great if the girl was Kirino
reminds me on this
I wonder how you know that. Maybe someone trolled you giving you that name and you seek revenge?
that really not hard to code though you could probably code that yourself just using tutorials
Google PC dating game
Write it yourself, even a mouthbreathing retard can learn Python or C++ and write this bullshit weeaboo program.
>miya graphics used are property of their creators
If I say this then it's not copyright infringement!
The problem is I am clinically unambitious.
I've actually been deemed unfit for work because of it.
I can't do shit.
But I want to make a satisfying one, and if I show something here that would be thought of as atustic, then anon would surely have me pinned against the wall and take my anal virginity.
Ok, fucked up the time in that one
$1000-$2000 per line of code.
Don't worry, you are not going to get a job offer from me.
you could make a sim for Kancolle fags, they have super low standards
I don't care.
>Linux is safe from viruses because nobody writes Linux viruses thanks to the small and technically competent userbase.
From a purely technical standpoint, Windows is fairly close in terms of security.
Thank for linking shitkaku, I was almost having a good day.
Its no good, what I want is it to satisfy anon-kun. And myself with it.
I'm a programmer, and while it's possible to make this without many problems, it's WAYYYY too much work and too many things to consider.
I'd only tackle this if I had some 15 man team at least.
At least we have yomecolle while waiting for japan to develop an AI powerfull enough to emulate human behavior and some mods to make her as great as your waifu.
Those are "problems", mate.
Pretty much this, it's gonna be about 15-30 people working on it, each getting paid at least $70 an hour. Otherwise, no one's gonna do shit, because it's all about money and people gotta eat.
how is there not some japanese game team working on something like that?
Well the only problem is the amount of work.
The program itself is perfectly doable and not that complicated.
So, anybody interested in doing this?
What's the time estimate? (How much would you take for it?)
I'd have to specify a few points, but mostly that's what I want.
Because japs ain't chinks. Chinks would've probably pumped out version 15500 by now.
Japs don't cater to weebs, unless there's money in it, just like the rest of the first world. If you have money you can get anything you want.
make a Kickstarter
then never deliver and take the money
sounds like a plan, doesn't it ?
Two different things, anon.
but there's got to be tons of weebs willing to pay for this stuff
Are you one of them?
It's too complicated for Japanese, they only make software that's technologically 10-20 years old.
maybe, depends whos asking
Nope, your idea would need exactly the same manpower as that one. Maybe even more, because the blood spatters will need another team of designers.
they have those mobile games where you have to pay for everything, they make lots of money from dirty otaku
That "game" was shit. There's barely any customization and the shaders are pure garbage. Not to mention there's barely any interaction with the girl, at least you can fug her while she's cooking or cleaning though.
I doubt we'll get any decent mods either.
The blood splatters were just a minor detail that has no importance whatsoever. A score would be nice, but that's it.
I wouldn't take it on for anything you could ever afford. It would take about $75k to get me interested. Messing with Windows itself is unbelievably painful.
I'd think about a version for some form of linux for a couple hundred though.
And since both images and text should be left open and customizable, all you really need to make is a shell. I can't see 15 people working for very long on this.
Okay, then I'll just forget it. Thanks for the info. Deleting my derailing posts now.
It's not that easy, you know. It will require a team of 30 professional designers, providing that you want it on Windows only, if you want other platforms the workers' pay will rise exponentially with respect to the number of platforms.
You have no idea about Software Development, so shut up and let the grownups discuss their grownup stuff, kid.
I'm pretty sure I'd be able to create some kind of online waifu database where users can add sounds, pictures and animations etc. to girls and have some kind of API where waifu sim clients can download all those things and do stuff with it.
It's just that it's a lot of work, and I won't get paid.
I'll be adding it to my ideas list though.
Fuck, can't delete shit anymore after my IP changed. Now I feel like twice the dumbass.
That sounds lovely.
It has been done.
That has been sold two hundred thousand of copies.
implying software developers aren't a bunch of autistic scammers you woulddo the job for 30% of the price if they had no other options
Your implications have nothing to do with reality. No one's going to do anything for free, so you'd better pay up and make sure the sum is hefty enough for me to move my finger.
You sound like an asshole.
Don't like capitalism or something?
That's not it.
You simply sound like an asshole.
TL note: Asshole means someone being arrogant, rude, obnoxious, or just a total dickhead....
I think you mean "one weeb will buy it and upload it for all the other poor moochers to download and never seed" It time for you to accept reality, weebs are cheap little fuckers who will almost never pay for anything they can get for free
>being rude after getting insulted
>Asshole means someone being arrogant, rude, obnoxious, or just a total dickhead....
So a capitalist? Good.
You guys are incredible. Here, I spend most hours of my free time in translating manga, anime and even LNs just for the love of it. I win nothing by it. Hell, I could just read it and forget about you. But I keep doing it, because I think of you, and I want you guys to be able to enjoy those things too, even when you fucks could simply learn Japanese and read it like I do.
And then, you come and say that it's all about money? No, you're simply a bad excuse of a person.
That's what people said of "gamers" until Steam came out... actually, I bet you could put something like that on Steam.
>Here, I spend most hours of my free time in translating manga, anime and even LNs just for the love of it. I win nothing by it. Hell, I could just read it and forget about you
>But I keep doing it, because I think of you,
Protip: I don't give a fuck.
Yeah, it was already clear that you're a lecher that only cares about himself.
writing programs just simply sucks, it's nothing like translating something
Good thing there are morons like you I can leech off of. Keep up the good work, dumbass.
Now go, there are some untranslated VNs waiting for ya, chop chop.
A kickstarter could be a good idea for the anons who said they could do it.
If you advertised the kickstarter on here like that ww2 VN I'm sure a bunch of anons would donate.
What have you worked on anon? Maybe I've read something you translated.
Don't worry. Soon, your loved capitalism will take over, and you'll only have CR rips.
I was exaggerating earlier. I don't work that much (although I know of people who do).
I've translated the Yume Nikki manga, a few chapeters of Corpse Party 2U, some of Sekai Oni, and a few other things. Right now, I'm translating the Zettai Bouei Leviathan shorts. Finished the 7 firsts. Another anon is taking care of the timing.
>Right now, I'm translating the Zettai Bouei Leviathan shorts.
HAVE MY BABIES
Thanks for doing gods work anon
I can only assume you only know one language.
I wrote something similar in python/bash when I first started learning, it asked you a question and you could either answer yes or no, with a differing response from that.
I only wrote 3 question/answers, but theoretically you could fill it up with 100s/1000s of funny things and it would be like a realy simulator. It's text only and just randomly opens a terminal throughout the day, but it would not be hard whatsoever to add in pictures/audio either.
I still have the source, it's only like 4 files, and I want to post it, but like I said it was when I first started learning and the syntax/mistakes are embarrising to the point where I don't even want to hear it.
They were deleting this sort of thing as advertising a while ago.
