What's so bad about InuYasha? I legitimately think it's better than One Piece/Naruto/Bleach. The manga has great art and the story isn't horrible.
Why does /a/ think it's so bad?
so which Inu Yasha episodes are the ones KyoAni worked on?
Most of /a/ doesn't like it because they watched it as a kid, and think its not moe enough
Seriously thought Inuyasha is a great anime/manga, but dubbed and subbed.
Too fucking long and dragged out.
Nope, you don't know what you're talking about.
I liked InuYasha a lot. Watched every episode and only have two movie left to watch.
great argument there bud, you sure showed me
Good setting, decent plot, but too repetitive and ultimately bad
Annoying is a good word to describe it
It is better than the big three, but the ending is anti-climactic. Overall, it's still probably one of my favorite anime, not because of the fights, but because i think it proposes a really unique situation between Kikyo, Inuyasha, and Kagome, where everyone i talk to about it has a different opinion on the love triangle. Personally, Kikyo is love, Kikyo is life, but that's me.
I agree that the anime is a bit dragged out, but how is that any worse than the holy trinity of shonen shit? Inuyasha only had 167 episodes, One Piece is already 600+.
Let's not forget all the fujoshit baits and characters that shouldn't have been added in the first place. There's plenty of that
>I legitimately think it's better than One Piece/Naruto/Bleach.
that's not saying much
Kagome best girl
One Piece is genuinely good.
Which is the best out of the four movies? I'm thinking about rewatching.
>not wanting to cum inside him
The second one, castle beyond the looking glass
Swords of an Honorable Ruler
Worst part about it was Naraku basically proto-Aizen because Bleach isn't even creative on the bad things it does
If it was just a "search for the magic macguffin" quest I probably could take the long time exploring sengoku japan but this guy derails the plot and every time the MC got a new power-up Naraku just pulls something else out of his ass.
the first one, mang, it's mad good. Well, they're a ll good, except for the fourth one imo.
She good to, but InuxKikyo OTP
Gonna have to disagree with you here man
Kikyo doesn't do it for me
Its like they made rurnori kenshin gay.
>but InuxKikyo OTP
This. Kikyo is love, kikyo is life. But she shouldn't have been such a bitch to inuyasha once she failed to drag him down to hell (to be together forever) and found out what really happened from her sister. The romance between inuyasha and kagome didn't even develop yet.
>Legitimately better than other shit
>being a pedo
Great argument, anon.
Looking back Inuyasha wasn't that great of a show. But it was entertaining to a certain extent and had a great OST.
But I can't really hate on Inuyasha since that's what got me into anime in the first place.
>Grrr gotta kill Naraku
>After fighting ten million chumps, feel strong enough to kill Naraku
>Haha fuck you Inuyasha I'm invincible
>Fight 10 million more chumps to overcome the bullshit
>Haha I have NEW bullshit
>Repeat over and over
>"B-b-but Anonymous it was a love story"
Yeah, a shitty one, with a glacial pace and a thousand detours.
thank you for this anon
Very big fan until the filler and repeater eps.
I never read the manga but I really loved this anime which really got me into other shows.
Anyone like the final act?
I totally want to get a inuyasha meido tattoo
So? I loved the detours. The ultimate goal was to beat the shit out of Naraku but in the end this was an adventure story. Compare it to pokemon. Ash wants to cath 'em all, but it takes him through a lot of interesting adventures.
You're just too used to 12 episodes of pedophilia and beta MC's of current anime.
Wrong. Your show was just shitty, dawg.
Stfu nerd lmao
Don't mind me, just being the ineffably strongest.
This little nigga was so cute.
I liked it too, back then when it aired (I was 15 then). I watched it subbed and even back then I always hated the dubs a lot.
I think you'd see more threads on /a/ if the IY fanbase wasn't one of the worst ones around.
I know it's stupid to hate a show for its fanbase, but that's how the internet works.
Cant get over the fact that Kagome comes from future but desides to wear same clothes 95% of time not to mention it being skirt with no panty shots.
Sango > Kagome > Kagura > most of the monsters > Kikyou
I remember being Fbuddies with this black girl, she always used to say "inuyasha is a sexy ass white boi"
needles to say i dont udnerstand black ppl
Can we have a reboot of the show just like that? Bit more serious, more focused on the interhuman relationships and not so much unnecessary monster of the week.
Streamlined to 2x24 episodes.
First one to point out that "interhuman" is wrong, because he's not quite a human and Kikyo isn't anymore etc. get's a pat on the back.
>but how is that any worse than the holy trinity of shonen shit?
Inuyasha drags a bare bones premise and plot while One Piece is much bigger in scope, there's also more variety per arc while in Inuyasha IT'S THE SAME DAMN SHIT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
One Piece is actually good, better than Inuyasha in fact.
It's true, but most of the fanbase has moved on to new shows. I barely see Inuyasha mentioned at all anymore. I doubt we'll ever see a spinoff or reboot, but it would be interesting.
>It is better than the big three
Not even close.
One Piece > Shit > Bleach > Inuyasha > Naruto
This. Inuyasha could have been great if the length was cut in half or more but it dragged on it suffered the same problem as Ranma 1/2.
>better than shit
>Bleach above anything
>Inuyasha above anything
It was shit but I liked it as a kid and I still have a soft spot in my heart for it.
The story should have ended much sooner, ad Kagome was a really annoying bitch. I took pleasure in the fact that Inuyasha very obviously liked Kikyou more.
The one good thing it had was the Kagome-Inuyasha-Kikyou love triangle, since Kagome was essentially the same person as Kikyou, which added an interesting layer. Sango and Miroku were also nice.
Everything else sucked though, especially Naraku
I liked it when it was on TV but eventually got bored with it because it dragged on far too long and started repeating itself.
Also there was one episode where some bad guys said that a jewel shard had been in their family for generations and the jewel had literally just broken and I was like what?
Kikyou was dead, that's what.
Oh god, why would you replace the best girl with a shitty brat from out of fucking nowhere?
Really, the only good thing the series had going for it were the OPs and EDs.
Naraku grind made it a huge turnoff
it grinded and dragged so much it got stale halfway through
inuyasha is shit
why didn't people who knew about alternate reality exploit it for resources with modern tech? It would make them filthy rich and improve the medieval shit
>m-muh enchanted arrows
People don't hate Inuyasha because of the fanbase, they hate it because it's a bad series.
>Guy with a black hole for a hang
>It's fucking USELESS
Because it got boring when the plot went nowhere.
Then again, these days /a/ creams over series which have no plot to lose track of in the first place.
not everyone is a jew
because it would be another propaganda NIP STRONK like gate
but nippon isn't stronk
say it to my face motherfucker
nippon isn't stronk
>and the story isn't horrible
I honestly don't like the story too much.
I mean I would but it is very repetitive to an annoying level. At least it had a conclusive ending. That's more I can say for Takahashi's other manga
japanese steel folded 1000 times white piggu go homu
Remember when we used to think inuyasha would never end, then it ended?
/a/ went nuts that day.
This. It starts with a lot of promise but then meanders endlessly in impotent filler and annoying, poorly done love triangle bullshit.
Are you a girl?
>Compare it to pokemon
The pokemon anime is awful - if your point is that both ended up being bad despite having good potential, then I agree.
Was the thing Rumiko did after IY really terrible or something?
She's one of the highest profile artists of all time and that manga seemed to sink without a trace.
What is it about Shounen manga and the first notable villains being really good and popular?
I guess it's just really unremarkable.
If it were bad, we'd hear more about it.
Is inuyasha really a shounen thou?
All the actual good ideas get shot out first, then the author runs out and just makes a power level fest.
It totally is
... how is it not?
it always seemed so girl oriented.
of all the people I've met that liked it, all were girls with few exception, some of them weren't even into anime but they liked inuyasha all the same.
Maybe it's a huge case of peripheral demographic, but it feels like it was geared that way from the start.
It starts off feeling like a shounen, but then again most of its fanbase consists of girls and romance ends up taking priority over plot.
That's just because the MC was a girl.
Inuyasha and Kagome were basically co-protagonists, but it's still a shounen.
Inuyasha like every single series from Rumiko Takahashi suffers from Takahashi syndrome, starts out decently then after 6 chapters her alzhimers kicks in and it turns into a cluster fuck that reuses the same jokes and plot points for the next 500 chapters.
Ranma never got fixed so he stops transforming, Naraku was never killed, and Godai never gets the girls because the stories never advanced, just kept circling the drain till i fell asleep and stopped giving a damn.
the story is decent, and the dub is also good too.
would get stoned and stare blankly at.
Watched it as a kid when it was airing. I remember liking it, but again, I most certainly don't like the same thing as my past 9 years old self.
Um. Godai and Kyoko are married. Lum and Ataru are married and have a confirmed child designed by Rumiko herself.
>it's not shit when one piece does it
>I legitimately think it's better than One Piece/Naruto/Bleach
Inu Yasha is not only the first anime I watched online but also the first one I watched subbed. It was not Naruto or Dragon Ball and Bleach & One Piece anime didn't even exist back then.
The sequel is actually good enough that I would still recommend it after reading a summary of the S1 plot.
Damn, I loved Sesshomaru. Every new episode I hoped that I'd see more of him & Rin. I rarely did ;_;
>Naraku was never killed
Inuyasha was many people's gateway intro to anime outside of whatever was on TV.
It took a while to air new dub episodes so people went online and discovered watching anime in Japanese with subtitles.
It's fandom quickly killed the shows popularity.
Many of its fans were annoying obnoxious sk8ter girls who flooded the internet with pictures of whatever the older brother's name was half naked.
Inuyasha reminds /a/ of its embarrassing middle school self. Did they have fun watching it? Yeah... but Middle School Syndrome is a real thing and no one wants to remember it.
The 1st part is the main thing. It was a gateway anime for the worst kind of fanbase and contributed to the genesis of the userbases of deviantart and tumblr.
I think most anons were probably ambivalent towards it when it aired on western tv. You were either old enough to have a frame of reference and already knew of better stuff, outgrew it quickly and discover bigger and better things, or you became one of the early-2000's internet proto-cancers while internet communities and forums were still a fad.
I honestly can't fathom anyone who would sit through hundreds of episodes entirely bereft of plot advancement and watch the same recycled jokes, slapstick humour and paltry juvenile fanservice repeated ad nauseum.
Inuyasha was one of the first anime I ever watched. I'll always like it, even though mediocre at best.
