just got myself a 128GB iPad Mini. What are some good /a/ related apps/games that I should put on it?
I've already got mangastorm, Comic Zeal and AVplayer HD to read mango and watch animu on it.
Please keep shitposting to a minimum.
Manga rock and comic glass.
Especially comic glass.
kanjibox , sticky study , imiwa if you follow DJT.
If you need some cool wallpapers, I recommend the new "trapped in glass" fanart pics going around.
They look really cool on Ipods, iPad's, etc.
You mostly have all the other needed apps.
>anime characters as your wallpaper
w-what if people see?
Just make it low-key so you can use the "I like the art" excuse.
>giving a shit about what other people say
I used Comic LO covers as my wallpaper and people was like "Hey anon, that looks pretty."
All I use is Animetrkr since I have an awful memory. It gives you an alert when airing anime is broadcast on that day.
>not hiding your powerlevel
Is there any other alternative than appchan since Seaweeds 4chanX/Onee combo is dead?
you didn't really get an ipad did you?
>got myself a 128GB iPad Mini
I'm so sorry, anon..
maybe if you work extra hard you can earn back the loss?
They are bring over a Love Live game, so there is that.
>Hiding your powerlevel
Why are you interacting with people in first place?
Speaking of Miku, anyone with ios try this?
It's not dead yet…
4chan X still works fine for me but idk about Oneechan since I haven't used that in years
That's nice. Can you upload it?
Is there a way to make 4chan X work in an android browser?
Idk, maybe this will work
What's the best tablet for reading manga and watching anime?
Just give up, I don't think any tablet can handle 10 bit video.
What if I want to watch older stuff?
My 2013 nexus 7 hasn't had any issues, and it's working great for manga too.
Is that as big as a normal manga volume, or do you need to zoom in to read?
With SCviewer I haven't had to zoom in, at worst I have to scroll down a bit.
an ereader for manga is just enough.
But I want to watch anime under a blanket in my bed as well as reading manga.
It works just fine with non 10-bit videos, at least in the case of my tablet.
>buying apple products
Stay gay, OP
Plays airing 10 bit releases just fine.
Can handle 1080p BD releases from coalgirls perfectly.
The only one I had frame drops with was a high bitrate 10bit BD release of AKB0048.
This one, specifically:
>[EveTaku] AKB0048 Vol.01 (BDRip 1080p H.264-Hi10P FLAC)
Is there a website where I can download all the covers only? The whole magazine is fine as well, but if I could download all the covers it would be better.
>Work banned tablets/ereaders with video capability.
>ereaders with video capability
>buying tablets or phones
Should've upgraded your PC or built a NAS instead
>not doing both
Why are you so poor, anon?
Reading manga on my tablet is much better than my computer. Tons of stuff I can't physical copies of that I'd still love to read so the tablet was the best idea.
Other anons with 2013 Nexus 7s, does your tablet have trouble hardware decoding non-10 bit video (e.g. horriblesubs)? It's very laggy so I have to switch to software decoding.
Not sure. I don't follow the e-reader scene much, as I was using a tablet at work.
That was the memo they passed around so I assume so.
I honestly haven't watched enough anime on my tablet to tell you. It works for me, but most of the time I'm at home and I can just watch on my monitor.
What's your job? And why would they ban that?
Well yes, hardware decoding is shit for everything.
Just enable soft decoding by default and problem solved.
Should've gotten a tablet with an actual OS
IOS is an actual OS. It might not be your favorite, but it's one nonetheless
I work in inbound call centre.
I guess they didn't like the idea of people recording in the workplace, potentially distracting and such.
It's annoying though because now I need to go fork out money for an e-reader if I want to keep reading manga at work.
Oh wait, I just checked and it's the other way around.
Software decoding is the default, and hardware is the one that actually works.
Which player are you using? Latest MXplayer works fine for me.
Actually now that I think about it, it would be probably to people don't watch videos rather than have the ability to record.
I'm using MXPlayer. I have to use software decoding or it lags.
>It would probably be so*
God damn my sentences are all over the place.
They're okay with people reading/browsing the internet/doing fuckall but they aren't okay with people watching video?
Sorry, I don't know what your problem is.
What video are you trying to load?
These are the settings I'm using.
Ok, serious recomendations op.
First thing, jailbreak. Yeah, you're probably going to bitch and moan about my bricked ipad but that only happens if you truly fuck something up. The reason why you're doing this is for two reasons.
1) there are no, and will never ever, EVER be a native bittorrent client for ios allowed on the App Store.
2) all the tweaks that take care of the annoyances of the locked down OS are available only on Cydia. I'm talking about things like adblock, an honest to god file manager, and shit like that.
You're going to want to do this NOW because right now because the method that currently works to jailbreak is going to be patched out soon.
INSTALL GENTOO FAGGOT
Download iTransmission 4 if you're going to jailbreak, and iFile.
>looks thin in one picture yet big in another
It's the little things that make my inner autist mad about sonico.
I made this for personal use some months ago, since it's outdated things like Steins;Gate Darling and the Nisekoi app aren't there. Also there may be things totally unrelated to anime/manga/vn/ln in some parts of it.
Oh, I didn't realize I had to enable H/W+. This seems to make 8 bit video work.
What's the H/W+ Decoder (10-bit) setting do? I assume it enables hardware decoding for 10 bit video but when I try to play 10 bit video with H/W+ decoding it gives me a "Cannot play this video with H/W+ decoding" error.
Ok, so now you've got your freshly jailbroken ipad. What do we do? First things first you need to ask yourself do you want to pay for shit that works, or do you want to pirate like a shithead? IOS piracy is for the most part not the same as PC piracy and most of the cracked apps work like ass. HOWEVER, for honesty's sake, if you do want to go this route, add http:://p1neapple.myrepospaces.com. A repository is basically a directory of a bunch of files. Think mini app stores.
ANYWAYS. What you're going to want/neeed is 1) iFinder. This is your file manager. It's what allows you to actually go into the guts of your device and actually move shit around like the PC that it is.
2) iTransmission 4. Don't get anything else, because they suck. To be honest, 4 isn't all that great yet either, HOWEVER the dev is in the process of adding multitasking in 4.2 (we're in 4.1 right now) which will correct most of my gripes. For now it acts like an IOS 6 app insofar as it will only actually download if it's up front and center, limiting a lot of the benefits of IOS 7 (multitasking).
3) Adblock. This ain't your momma's adblock. Frankly the pirated version available on the pirate repos suck and lag the shit out of my ipad, but if you HOLYSHIT REALLY HATE ADS OMG then this is for you. Personally I've never tried the official version, but apparently it doesn't have that issue.
>Watching anime on apple shit and poorfag apple knock off shit
Neo /a/ is here
P.S.:To play most videos (see: not 1080p 10bit)
1: Download VLC from the app store
2: Add getdelta.co repo
3: Download Flex 2 Beta
4: Open Flex and search for VLC in the cloud
5: Download Allow All Audio Codec In Every Country... to allow for AC3 audio codec support
Any anons that use the Kindle DX feel like sharing their opinion, for how handles manga reading?
Read a few things online that say it's decent and that the 9.7" size is the way to go.
Why the fuck would you torrent on a tablet?
The only reason to jailbreak is probably adblock.
If you have a decently set-up NAS, you don't need any file manager, let alone a torrent client
For how it handles*
>hardware decoder for 10-bit
of course its having trouble, they were not made to decode 10-bit, just 8bit
thats why you use software with 10-bit
OK, so now you've got your jailbroken ipad, you've got the shit on it to actually DO stuff with it, now what?
Ok, so first thing you're going to need is VLC off off of the OFFICIAL App Store. The VLC available off of Cydia is old and works like butt. Also before you ask yes you can still use the official App Store on a jailbroken device.
As far as reading your mangos, don't trust web scraper apps. More often than not shit goes south and that app you spent $5 anymore either gets broken, the dev goes insane, or they flat out get blocked from the App Store. That said, out of all of these my best recommendation is Comic Glass. It's clean, fast, and doesn't fuck around with shit nobody cares about.
Once you've got all that set, you're pretty much set on getting everything prepped. Now you just need to actually download your animes and mangos and put them in places they need to be...
Yeah, I tried using it in that video too and it defaults back to software decoding.
It works fine, so it doesn't really bother me though.
Why are recommendation threads loathed to the point of being banned but this kind of things are tolerated?
"Do your own research" should apply equally here as well
It's also offtopic, take it to /g/
Comicbooklover for downloaded mangoo, especially if you have a mac
Mangastorm for "online" reading
VLC for vidya
Some remote desktop app if you want to play VNs on the go.
P.S.: Download Manga Storm, it supports Batoto, and if you have LocalIAPStore (in this repo http://system.in-appstore.com/repo/))you can get the full version for free.
Because this way is easier to explain on an anime image board? If you write up a NAS setup go for it,
Report and hide and move on. No reason to bicker in the thread itself.
Because they are newfags, and should go to >>>/g/ for technology.
>inb4 hurr durr I was only pretending
Also not anime, though tangentially related
/g/'s homescreen threads may want to help you out, after they stop mocking you
Yeah, but fuck batoto. You're better off just getting series off of the torrents.
JB is the easiest way to get nasty shit on your ios device or make it unstable.
I doesn't really worth it in my opinion. Especially not for pirating apps that cost 1-2 EUR.
Is there a decent torrent client for android or are they all shitty?
They're all shitty, but utorrent for android is the least shit in my (limited) experience.
corporation rules are stupid.
there are some companies that won't even let you smoke on the weekend in the privacy of your home.
They'll fire you for it.
I don't smoke, but that shit is still fucked up.
>there are some companies that won't even let you smoke on the weekend in the privacy of your home.
