Just finished this fucking excellent show. Can we discuss
This show made me drop other shows because they weren't as good as Katanagatari.
My favorite anime
Very good visuals.
Ending with no real build up.
Immensely trolling the audience with the fight skip.
Plot is an afterthought.
Worst girl won without any reason.
Great adaptation, awesome character development
The anime that has made me cry the MOST
You forgot the boss rush at the end
>Tfw on episode 11
>Tfw best girl loses
Who's the best girl? And why is she Meisai?
That's not Hitei or Kyoken
That's a funny way of spelling Hitei.
>Implying best girl isn't nee-chan
Do you even Monsterous protegee?
why is the image mirrored and for ants?
>you will never eat Tagome's Cheerios
They spent 12 hours to tell a joke.
didn't like the ending, felt like they wasted all the character development
togame was kill and didn't accomplish shit
shichika gave no fucks
hitei gave no fucks
omonzaemon remained a mystery and a boring character
i know that's the whole message is "people don't always get what they want" and whatnot but, meh
people seemed to like it because muh feels, but it didn't really affect me in that way
Goodnight sweet prince
He died like a bitch.
Post that scene from the previews. You know which one I'm talking about.
It's literally all Pengins fault. Literally.
name of this anime, you have get my interest
All the maniwani died like bitches. Actually a lot of people that died in this show died like bitches.
Katana no pico
>Katana no pico
Boku no pico
Nisio Isin's Wild Ride 2 : Electric Bogaloo
What was up with Togame's eye? At first I thought that it was up when she was lying, as it was clearly suposed to be a snake's eye. But after rewatch I came to a conclusion that she was seeing her ambition in her mind (and subsequently lied/schemed/cheated) everytime she had it going on. But then there were few scenes where this explanation wasn't working too well. Was it just a stylish thing? And fuck the ending and the depressing message it conveyed.
It's something with lies/scheme and those stuff but i don't know if it is confirmed.
Neither did enmonzaemon, but most did.
Well the eye thing is anime original so it's just left up to interpretation.
man I don't even know if we got cheated by the switch.
Still waiting for Maniwagatari white fox.
A few hundred years ago the Maniwa were weak and almost on the verge of extinction, the Aioi (Emonzaemon's clan) dominated the scene.
The sole leader, Maniwa Houou, decides to elect 12 Maniwa leaders instead of just 1, so everyone in the clan tried for those positions. In the first book, you get Maniwa Komori, Maniwa Chouchou, Maniwa Kuizame and Maniwa Shirasagi. Maniwa Houou appointed Maniwa Kyouken (she was using a loli body back then) to help him appoint 12 leaders.
Komori's story is a murder mystery and he acts like a hardboiled detective. Chouchou is big, fat and fights with fists but he becomes a leader after crossing swords (fists) with the first Kyoutouryuu head, Yasuri Katsue(?). Maniwa Kuizame is a lovely looking girl back then and shed tears for everyone she kills, except for that fact that she's a murderous psychopath. Shirasagi is full of mysteries as always but he never fails his mission and is the only Maniwa to date that dies of old age. Kyouken hates him since Shirasagi is a huge troll.
i was pretty cool how, in the boss rush, they reminded viewers that shichika was holding back while fighting every time.
i honestly had forgotten about it
tfw don't want to rewatch my favorite anime because i don't want to experience muh feels again
i feel like i missed something
>shichika gave no fucks
Did you really watch the last episode?
I mean, the whole show is about how Shichika develops from a weapon to a human being.
>Nisio Isin's Wild Ride 2 : Electric Bogaloo
>Not Perfected Deviant Bogaloo
Well we actually did get the fight, just in preview form.
It made me realize that I can't enjoy the fights unless they're accompanied by lots of words.
Thats just a preview from the end of an episode. They skipped the fight in the anime
Episode 3.5 when?
he develops into a human being, and then he becomes a weapon again, with no regard for himself or others. He aims just to kill, like a true weapon. There is nothing left for him to have feelings for, so he is completed. He also becomes his own master, a weapon that wields itself.
I think it was pretty clear it flipped whenever she was scheming. Even at the end, she's scheming to make Shichika able to go on without her.
in the end he's no more than weapon,
he said that himself, he didn't give a fuck about togame, the reason why he invaded the castle was to get killed
he even travelled with the person that killed his "love"
no fucks given the way i see it
She had it on when she was buying clothes for herself sometime at the begining. Also while watching her father getting his head chopped off. Scheming doesn't explain the eye.
I think the word you were looking for is prodigy. Protegee is a much different thing.
Been meaning to watch this one. Looks amazing. Which is the best sub-group for it?
When you're done make sure to come back and start a thread demanding to know what the anime was about and complaining about the ending, trying your best not to understand any of the characters or the story in general.

I liked the show. I didn't like the ending. And no, I didn't care that Togame died, but the way it ended it felt cheap.
Truly the best fight ever
