New spirit circle out, I'll be dumping it in this thread.
Beat me to it.
Pretty good chapter, but that cant last long right?
Aw, jeez. They're like a married couple trying to put up a front for their kid.
That's some symmetric injuries.
Now I'm sad.
Well that was bound to happen.
Still sorta sad.
>No life together raising a daughter
NO HAPPINESS ALLOWED
Wait...they...they didn't die, did they? They're just taking a nap right? R-right guys?
He wakes up from the dream when his past self dies, anon.
Well, at least they get to continue their conversation in the present.
I swear, if they don't get together in the current timeline and raise a daughteru together, I am going to be so fucking mad.
Raise a daughteru? They're gonna MAKE a daughteru!
She better not say any shit about this life, of all of them this one is the one with the happiest ending
That's depressing to think about
What are we going to do in the future?
Duralumin's translation was "good enough", can we say the same about CR?
This short arc took me by surprise.
After all these past-self shenanigans I kind of forgot what the whole point was. Why is she showing him these again?
>mfw the Houtarou apparition now begins materializing to Fuuta and eggs him to finish what he started. i.e. Becoming a family with Iwana and her reincarnations.
This is the longest lifetime by far, taking about 5 chapters.
>everyone else is ranting about killing her
>dude just give her the dick, it'll be fine
Ghost banri plsgo
With each lifetime shown, the animosity between the two seems to be gradually decreasing.
Fortuna's Era = Started all this cycle of hatred
Fone's Era = Bloodlust Carnival
Vann's Era = Unintentional Bloodlust
Flor's Era = Vitrolic Friendship / General Apathy
Houtarou's Era = Actually considered forgiving the other and becoming a family
What will the next two lifetimes be? Full blown fucking?
>everyone else is ranting about killing her
Vann didn't forgive the Witch for ruining his life, but he isn't hellbent on revenge. Flors couldn't give less two shits about Koko in that lifetime. Houtarou actually considers forgiveness now.
We still don't know anything about Fortuna though.
Goddamn, she let go of it in this life and the Egypt life, why can't she let go of it in the present day.
And we didn't get to see them live together as a family. Fuck this cruel world. I want to see them as a family dammit.
M-Maybe next chapter will be Kouko revealing that they woke up after that and go back to the temple.
Might be cool, wonder which era the next reincarnation would be in.
Fuck! Mizukami always finds a way to rip my heart out ;_;
>What will the next two lifetimes be?
>Full blown fucking?
I'm okay with this. First some hate sex and them some lovely vanilla hand holding and kissing and then killing each other because reasons
>And we didn't get to see them live together as a family
Silly anon, that's for the next lifetimes.
I'm betting that the next set of reincarnation will pit them as siblings or some star-crossed lovers or some shit.
Would be fun if they are reincarnated into some old European aristrocatic family and they were force into a political marriage together. Then they grow old and die together.
Where can I find raws? The last page said Jan 30 is new chapter, so chapter 20 raws should be out. jcafe only has up to 16, and senmanga to 19 though.
I'm not shitting you.
If she was sitting on the rock and fell over, how did she end up on his lap? It's not like she got pushed forward. Her head should be like a feet away.
We still need to tackle the timeline where Koko got her scar.
There is a little more suffering in store.
Anyone gonna dump Crunchy's chapter 20?
holy crap, you really aren't. and it's translated too... how do I rip this?
Maybe she stood up and fell forward or maybe she tried to get closer to him?
That's true, how horrifying.
Not gonna dump the whole thing, mostly cause I dunno how to rip it from CR, but here's a screencap of the final page of chap 20.
It's on torrent already (in realy low quality for some reason).
Sunddenly she look a lot older.
Bitch just let it go
Needs to get laid something fierce.
She ain't letting go until he sexes her up hard enough.
yes she is
She looks more like the witch from the Knight's past life
Christ this is killing me, those last two panels are practically screaming LOOK AT ME I'M IMPORTANT FORESHADOWING, but I can't for the life of me think of what they might mean by 'something left to do'.
Are they talking about their next reincarnation? How can they know about it? Or are they talking about something specific they need to do as ghosts?
>see you again
They're clearly aware they're destined to reincarnate and meet again, but there's no animosity to it. Is that what they're talking about? Doing something important in the next life?
Is this from the next chapter?
Chapter 20, available on crunchyfaggots as simulpub. It's not the greatest quality scans, but it'll do.
And by crunchyfaggots I mean CR. There isn't actually a crunchyfaggots.
Well I'll dump chapter twenty, seeing as I download it anyway.
Compare to what we usually get, the quality here is abysmal.
So, ch21 in ~3 weeks?
Why is that?
I thought Crunchyroll had nice quality?
Ah what do you know, we were right about that
Koko has some strange dress-sense. Fuuta's not much better, but striped turtleneck+hood jacket and knee-length skirt combo?
The resolution is basically at the bare minimum where everything is visible, which is serviceable, but the fan scans we got before were of much higher quality.
If they're timely, I can live with it, but if Mizukami does a stunt like his 5-page spread in Sengoku Youko it's not going to look pretty on CR.
Are there any better raws for ch. 20?
Or is Crunchy the only avalaible thing.
Wow, compared to the usual releases, CRs quality really is horrible.
Last page be >>101502579
I hope this doesn't kill the scanlation we have before.
Why are you even complaining? If you had it in a paper format, it wouldn't be any bigger. Rather, this is a normal size.
I think the guy said if he thinks the CR scans aren't very good, he'll keep going.
Fuck off CR fag. Eat more shit.
the latest chapter was feudal Japan,so by some analogy the next one would be Victorian Europe or possibly WW1?
But it's true.
At first I didn't like the scans either, but now I understand why they're doing this.
>Vann didn't forgive the Witch for ruining his life, but he isn't hellbent on revenge.
It's more like he didn't care much. He got to live a pretty happy life.
Oh, brilliant. Thank you.
Both sound nice, Victorian England would be fun, but WW1 with Kouko a battlefield nurse would be fine too.
Just complain about it to CR
CR's quality isn't that bad, it's just their tiny-ass viewer only lets you view less than half of the page if you bring it up to full resolution. I screencapped this three times and stitched it together.
Using their 14-day trial. I don't think I'll ever pay for anything from CR.
WHY? WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS END LIKE THIS?
Full screen and a zoom in is better. Wish there would be an option to fit it into width or something
It's fate. At least there's a clear ship between their friends now.
I don't remember her name but that girl in the second to last panel is 2cute.
That reminds me, can we get the character chart?
It's completely different reading in paper form and reading on a screen.
i have only this one but it's not up to date
Rei isn't coming back is she?
no, she's dead forever because that's what the story is about. being dead. forever.
It ends at this page? Keep going, Stalker.
He links to the final page right there in his post.
Oh, wasn't looking.
Why is this so good, man. Anime when?
I don't want to see the source material being mangled beyond recognition.
But i wouldn't mind adaptation of Biscuit Hammer, they wouldn't flood manga threads as series is over, so most of the time people talk about it in one page thread, if even.
When Guts get off the boat.
I wish she'd be my nude model. What a slut.
Latest change is just filling in Akari's name. No change to the secondary one.
>What a slut.
She's just in love with him, and she doesn't want him to see any other naked woman's body. She's pure as hell.
The ending is going to be them killing eachother and then it just says The cycle continues
Actually this might be Mizukami's most well received work to date. It ranked fairly well at just two volumes in some best manga ranking yaraon covered last year and it is one of the three young king ours series that crunchyroll picked up. If he's ever going to get an anime adaptation it'd be of this one.
Just imagine the Biscuit Hammer anime thread, spoilers everywhere.
Fuck that ending, the cycle must end.
>the cycle must end.
Preferably by Fuuta and Kouko having sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation while holding hands.
So, this is an almost marriage story?
>The cycle of life must continue
Well that's acceptable.
The baby is Spascifica
Jeez, now I really want them to be together, at least in the present day, even if they murder each other in all other incarnations.
Only two left... I hope for a genderbent reincarnation.
What about Sensei?
This look like a custom Toribash game
He's in the secondary chart. Still the same as it was from the last chapter.
Didn't Vann's brother also appear in the Egypt era as Flors's child? I seriously hope Fuuta's unborn brother would be a better person than the two insane brothers.
This reminds me of The Years of Rice And Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson. The reincarnation cycle, and even the fact that some souls of the group are in opposition with the others. Pretty damn good book as well.
His brother has a pretty bad history with Fuuta, he's
>dumped into him a whole city
>been a shitty dad
>always the first in the succession line
I wondered about that too since they had similar eyes but it wasn't done to an explicit extent so I can't put him in there due to lack of solid evidence.
Then It's the problem of his situation and not who he is, the present time should make him a nicer person.
Sphinx being an emotionally absent was his own fault, not anyone else's.
Ah, I see. Thank you for the chart.
I would say Sphinx being emotionally absent is Sphinx's fault, not the child.
his=Sphinx, sorry. I wouldn't be surprised if he blamed Fuuta and his reincarnations for everything wrong in his lives if he were ever to remember them.
It's a girl though.
He has a proper name you know.
Old man Sphinx?
Ah, oh yeah, I can this happening. Like Fuuta settle thing with Kouko and they're happily together, then a timeskip, the brother grown up and plot his revenge against Fuuta because he blame everything on Fuuta's past reincarnation.
Ah, well that's better, betting that it'll be Rei.
Boy, he must've been a real dick
Just joking Floors, but you were a bad husband and should have just had some hatesex with Roka, everyone would have won that way.
What if the brother is Spascifica?
the twist is he was a girl in all of their lives
Don't make me post THAT.
That would be possible, but we don't really know much about Spascifca at all.
inb4 he's not a bad guy at all
It would be too easy that the one bad guy was Spascifca all along.
Wait wasn't Rune and Rei the same?
Of course not, look at their hair
No conclusive evidence.
Isn't her dress up as daughter-Rei evidence enough? She wouldn't even know of that dress unless she had seen it herself.
YES! THAT! DON'T MAKE ME DO IT STALKER!
I want to see "that" now.
She said she'll take a nap. She didn't fell.
PlEASE DON'T POST THAT. I'M SCARED. Even if I don't know what THAT is.
Every single fucking thread. i really should just save this in my hard drive for quick posting.
THAT IT IS THEN!
>implying that's not the excuse
The moral of the story is to not exhaust yourself when you just recently lost your limbs.
FUCK. Now I'm genuinely sad, THAT is way too powerful.
They should've waited until they recover a bit more before going out, we could have had a few cute scenes.
He'd have died anyway in that age, better die happy knowig your best friend and your sister are fucking happily like rabbits.
Well, fuck you too, then.
For what? Anyway, she's not Rei. She's always been with the Fortuna's resurrections waiting for him to call her out with the spirit circle. She says it in the first chapter she shows up.
She got up to score a sweet lap pillow for her nap but died on the way
Damn, she fine.
Lap pillows sure are a luxury.
CR's scans look really amateurish in comparison to the previous scanlations. Mostly because of the fonts.
Also, I like the Old English thing going on in Vann's chapters. CR better do it justice.
What site rips this stuff from CR?
Are they speaking to each other much more courteously now or is it just CR's translation?
CrunchyManga. They're on nyaa.
Oh man, CR doesn't have those editor's comments. I really like those.
That scans look fine to me, though. I don't know where you guys got your rips from but mine seems to be of higher quality. It looks less blurry.
Always felt this song was a perfect accompaniment for Vann's story. Anyone else got anything similarly fitting for the other lives?
Why so mad? Mizukami's into vocaloids too.
liking vocaloid chara design=/=liking shitty vocaloid music
> CR scans are a shit
> Also CR a shit
> Mizukami is rarely scanned
Life is suffering. When will SY catch up?
Where'd you get yours?
Still waiting for Kouko's scar. I bet she gets it in a really stupid way so that she could feel really dumb for spouting that "proof of self" bullshit in the first chapter.
It's rather counter intuitive to suggest that he'd like the design but not the music don't you think?
>She didn't get the scar in a past life
>She gets it in this one by throwing a temper tantrum about Fortuna
We don't have enough information to decide for sure that he is into vocaloid for music, or just into cute girls.
On foolz. Though, it turns out it's missing the last page.
You have to at least concede it is far more likely that he likes both the design and the music as opposed to just the design.
>it is far more likely that he likes both the design and the music as opposed to just the design.
In term of statistics? Latter is more certain.
The quality is awful. Like CR tried to maki it forcefully bigger,it got blurry and they saved it like that
And these statistics come from where exactly?
It's not CR, it's the group that ripped from CR. See >>101512401 , a rip by an anon. Quality is better but source is still the same.
Just think a bit. Him liking design is more likely than him liking songs+design, because in former there is less elements, which have to be true to make whole statement correct. It's fucking logic.
You think people fapping to Miku porn actually like Vocaloid?
> Him liking design is more likely than him liking songs+design, because in former there is less elements, which have to be true to make whole statement correct. It's fucking logic.
Thank you for the laugh but humans aren't slaves to logic and probability. It's common sense for someone to like multiple aspects of an object as opposed to a single one. Those that do are in the minority and there's nothing to go on except for those two pictures he drew.
To say that he likes one but not the other is like saying he only likes pic related but not series and that is not the conclusion one would draw upon seeing this image. I would argue that if it simply were the design, then those would not be the only drawings of Hatsune Miku he has and they would not be his own spins on the character's design but rather something truer to an established look she has.
Also, statistics where? You've got me curious.
No idea. I like them but I've never fapped to it.
Songs only exist in your head. What difference does it make if a pattern of sounds involve a human element or not?
Are they going to fuck yet or what?
Only in the doujins we'll never see.
From his ass, I think.
You're making an error in your logic here; you're not accounting for the "just" the design part.
The group of people who like the Vocaloid designs is (pretty much) always greater than the group of people who like the vocaloid designs AND music since that group is a subgroup of the former. It can at most be of the same size.
However, the group of people who like JUST the designs (and NOT the music) are another subgroup, not the greater group.
The group of people who like the Vocaloid designs contains both of these subgroups, those who like the music too and those who don't.
You can't deduce the relative size of these two subgroups -of the same group- without more data.
at least in the next life they won't hold as much of a grudge
Not with Ms. muh Fortuna they won't.
Not quite. See >>101502384
A little bit more shit is gonna go down.
I'm guessing Fortuna was the "latest" one for her, which is why she's so angry about it.
Also, I'm betting that's where she got the scar
One of the next two is probably going to impale her through the brain. A very odd place to target considering it looks like it was made by a bladed weapon and the forehead is pretty hard and easy to miss.
It's the earliest one. Since her other reincarnations didn't have that scar, it's one of her later reincarnations.
What. Fortuna's the first timeline, dude. The one Fuuta skipped because Fortuna's a fag.
The Incident with Fortuna couldn't have been where she got the scar. As the age of Fortuna was the very first one.
The scar came from one of the two lifetimes we still haven't seen
An interview with Mizukami from last. 4 pages long and a bit tricky to get through with Mizukami's speaking style.
First timeline for Fuuta, but for Koko...?
Honestly it's been a while since I've read the earlier parts so I'm probably completely fucking wrong
Maybe she skipped that one too and went through it as the last one so that she would still be mad about it.
It's the same shit. They share reincarnations otherwise they wouldn't be able to do story time together after every arc. Plus, it's obvious the japanese one was the Kouko's latest hence why she was blushing like a slut before the arc.
No. Kouko has a one in her circle.
There are a few more from Feudal Japan that we have now right? was the little girl that saved them Rei or Nonomura?
Wonder what setting will the next lifetimes tackle? They seem to be gradually getting more and more recent. The most recent one is in feudal japan around 1500-1600 and I don't think they'll reach the WWII era either since that would be too recent.
In the next life Koko get's Rei killed by accident this time Fuuta can be pissed.
Also I'm still hoping for
Hello I'm your new classmate Rei and/or Spacifica
I been reading this for over a year and I just realize its by the same author of Hoshi no Samidare, I feel like a retard.
I hate the music, but I love some versions of Miku.
>I feel like a retard.
I wonder what will happen when they both recover all their reincarnations, will shit go down incredibly hard? Because they can solve the whole thing in 20 more chapters if they feel like it.
That said, biscuit hammer was 'only' 65, so maybe.
Interesting bit on page 4.
Says here he thought of the end for Spirit Circle in a flash before he started drawing Samidare's end and that he wanted to have play it out like Osamu Tezuka's Bird of Fire(Phoenix) with several chapters a particular life. He didn't have the beginning planned out at all at the time and that Rune came to him way before Fuuta and Kouko did and that he was going to have her play a big role more akin to the phoenix but he ended up not doing that.
I haven't actually read Hi no Tori yet so could someone who has clarify what he meant?
>will shit go down incredibly hard
Do you even need to ask?
They start fighting and Fuuta gets a phone call saying his mother died from child birth.
Looks like they are training together to me.
Looks the same to me. None of them are showing enough blood lust (especially Kouko) for it to even look like a serious fight.
Then who was phone?
I haven't read it either, but if I had to guess, he wanted Rune to be a mcguffin.
Goddamn that ch.20 quality is horrible
Duralumin will keep releasing them, r-right?
Babby Rei being born.
I'm gonna guess that their relationship gets better and better until Fortuna goes full retard.
Fortuna was the first.
Apparently Fuuta came to be when his editor asked him what his next story would be like but he hadn't even gotten chapter one worked out so he bluffed by saying that it'd play out like Hi no Tori. He rushed to make the entirety of the protagonist that Fuuta came to be and laments that he probably would be better off if he followed the steps(?) of his readers.
He's got the idea of how things will play out and how it'll end but he's not sure how he'll get there. Prior to the serialization, he'd only planned out the lives up to egypt and at the time of the interview was still unsure of how to proceed with the remaining lives. He has no idea how he'll get things done with all the last minute decisions but he's "counting on his future self to manage(lol)" and is throwing in any bits of foreshadowing he comes up with as he gets them.
It seems the man is a master of the going back and connecting the dots kind of storytelling and Ohbayashi was just a random samurai ghost.
That doesn't make a whole lot of sense though- we're going forward in time though reincarnations in order to go to the first one? There are some shenanigans going on. I don't know what, but somehow Fortuna will end up fucking everything up.
You mean he just made a random samurai ghost and then decided to do a timeline for it?
Well there's only one life left and we know two things will probably happen.
1: Some incident will give Kouko her scar and make her hate Fuuta again,
2: Something will happen that makes Fuuta fall in love with Kouko.
Any guesses on the next period?
Fortuna is a faggot and is made him skip the first one. Kouko already did the Fortuna timeline.
Seems like it. The interview seems to imply he hadn't figured Houtarou's time yet. The interview was done when Flors was just starting.
Have you even been paying any attention?
I would imagine he said "well, I guess I'll do a timeline with a samurai" and then he included a random samurai and then he actually made the story for it.
There's Fortuna and two others left.
We're not going forward in time. The egypt arc would've happened after the japan arc if that were the case. Resurrection is apparently non linear in Mikukami's works hence why Animus, a person from the future, "resurrected" as someone way back in the past in Biscuit Hammer.
Then why was Fortuna first?
There're only 7 according to >>101515279
7 - 4 = 3
Because it was stated in the beginning you idiot.
And we've only seen Houtarou, Sphinx, Vann and Fone.
I'll remember your name Flors
Explain why he shouldn't be first.
It feels like we've done way more than just four
his name is flors
>Fuuta's dad was Yuuhi all along
It finally makes sense.
Three dead bodies just laying there.
So that's how he could sense Rune!
So I guess Rei simply stopped existing at some point after Vann's timeline. Maybe she already accomplished her given goal after that?
Fuck you Mountain Bitch.
Φονροον you dense bastard.
Bitch God then.
we need to find someone with a group of 7 sons to do a cosplay of fuuta and his past lifes
What's gonna be the next timeline? America? In the 60s?
I'm like Cowboys and Indians as one
We might be able to figure it out by looking at the numbers on the ring.
>implying Fortuna's age isn't the future
The numbers constantly change to different languages just in case you couldn't tell.
It'll be the future. Koko gets blasted in the head from a laser rifle.
Maybe we'll go to Russia next
I: And finally, would you please give a message to all the aspiring still schooling mangaka hopefuls out there?
M: It would be good for them picture themselves for a moment when they're 50, 60 or if that's too far, 10~20 years from now. Going from there, aspiring mangaka should tell themselves that "nothing you do can be pointless".
What I'm saying is that if you want to become a mangaka, you have to ask yourself if you have the guts to live your life drawing every single day 3~40 years from now and on top of that if you can see yourself still drawing at the age of 60.
Hopefuls are going to hear everyone around them to just quit being a mangaka but the ones that do are the ones that draw manga every single day.
Even I've been told that I was n't suited to become a mangaka by editors but look at me now being nothing else but tha
I never once considered quitting as a mangaka to be a choice. That's why the guys that become mangaka don't have much to say.
Those kind of guys just set out on their own, never backing down to all that and became mangaka. They won't tell you anything else but "Draw and then be one".
Of course, it's not enough to just want to be a mangaka. Those that draw manga only once in a while, not thinking about manga every day and spend them with their heads in the clouds are probably going to lead very tough lives so you should remember those important words you want to shout out every day.
Allow me to share a personal aside here. Hoshi no Samidare was the no.1 battle manga I was hooked on while I was in high school. The amazing levels of catharsis that works by Mizukami-sensei's ahdns is just plain abnormal! To those of you who haven't lifted a finger, those of you have everything sorted out, please send in those completed works in as strongly as you can.
That covers the last page of the interview. May work on the the other three in the next few days but for now I gotta get to sleep.
>crime all amuck
>future Koko is killed due to future Fuuta's faggotry
>Instead of dying immediately, she becomes RoboKop
Interesting to see would be 1776 or civil war USA.
And, if Mizukami has balls, Nazi Germany
Sphinxes have been around since ~9500 BC, and assuming it was in Egypt (was there anything definitive saying it was Egypt? I forget.) that'd put it around 2500 BC at the earliest, and into the Middle Ages at the latest. The Sengoku Era in Japan was 1450's to 1600, and Kouko mentioned working for the Tokugawa, who ended that era, which would put that timeline a few years before 1600.
I'd say the chinese boxer rebellion and probably south america during a civil war or revolution
Not to mention the fact that Mr. Sphinx was Roman.
I wonder if it's possible for two incarnations to exist in the same time period but different places.
What about the aztec arc. When would've it taken place in the real world?
Oh yeah, Japan's massive boner for the three kingdoms. It will probably get an arc.
I honestly hope they'll avoid it. Unless Fuuta or Koko is somehow Nobunga, there's too much material already treaded.
>1776 or civil war USA
Please no, there are more interesting wars out there in the modern era. French revolution and the government afterwards would be more interesting.
Okay, so I'm an idiot and actually fucked that up big time (it's supposed to be "egypt" before "medieval") but it was Fuuta who suggests that reincarnation is non-linear chronologically.
They probably weren't Aztecs, since Aztecs were around at about the same time as the Sengoku Era. They were probably Mayans, and given that it seems they had basic skills with making bronze (copper?) bowls and weapons, they were probably from sometime around 1000-700 BC
Her mouth bothered the fuck out of me in this, my autism made me change it.
When does he say/suggest that? It'd fit given that we have no idea what's going on with Fortuna and such, but do you have a chapter and page number?
>Yfw next arc is in the Mexican revolution
They mention the Colosseum though.
Found it. it's in chapter 15.
>yfw next arc is pirates
>Crunchy's series description
>About the Series
>Fuuta Okeya is a normal middle school 2nd grade student. It was supposed to be a peaceful middle school life, but is turned upside down by an appearance of a transfer student, Mizukami Satoshi who has a big scar on her forehead. This is a metempsychosis spectacle story in grand scale!
>mfw next arc is British imperialism
Holy shit, did they purposely tried to make it sound as generic as posible?
Good find, it's definitely possible, highly likely even, for Vann's time to be after Flors'. Have to keep that in mind when reading future chapters.
Not a lot of those actually happened. For example, I remember Fone being immediately decapitated.
I will listen to this when reading the last chapter
I love purposely making myself sad
It's just symbolism for their hatred for one another.
Those aren't like flashbacks or anything. Just symbolism.
I know. I'm merely pointing out that doesn't prove anything. They don't look that frantic in chapter 1. She even lets him take a call.
where is Glass's son? fuuta's class teacher
Romans didn't actually invent them.
Russian civil war please. With Koko as a red commissar and Fuuta as imperial guard trying to protect the Tsar daughter.
Perfect description. Thanks, CR.
cr saving manga
>a transfer student, Mizukami Satoshi who has a big scar on her forehead
In case you missed it.
>turned upside down by an appearance of a transfer student, Mizukami Satoshi who has a big scar on her forehead.
>transfer student, Mizukami Satoshi
Oh shit, I didn't read the names the first time. CR, only the best of the best.
Kouko confirmed for self insert.
happy to read this I have always feared that once the flashbacks to past lives are over he didnt know went to go from there ,but if he started this from the ending I have faith that he can pull it off
Show this to the Duralumin. I'm sure it's enough to convince him to never drop this because of CR.
I think the numbers indicate the order of the lives
Time to solve this puzzle, does anyone knows what kind of numbers are this ones and what lives can we expect from them?
Maybe far left is inca knot? Mayans and aztecs both used dots going by google.
Bottom left is Danish for 6.
I support and endorse this.
farmland saga 2.0
I might be in a minority, but I really haven't been finding Spirit Circle that moving. It might have to do with all the delays, but because the death in every lifetime is inevitable, it somewhat cheapens them.
Also, because the two lack any active animosity in the current era, there is an extreme amount of nothing happening between lifetimes.
That sideways may be hindu, so India time.
there are 7 pasts and more than 7 symbols

It looks like old man Sphinx's number is the roman numeral four, so that's probably her egyptian life.
In my case I can't avoid liking it, Mizukami always strike all the right notes in his characters and their motivation. Is like, I can related to this 2D people and their troubles.
ABOUT FUCKING TIME
Seriously what the hell was that delay about?
I feel like being a smart ass since I just noticed this.
That's like trying to talk about George Washington during the civil war.
Symbols change, always putting the same number in different languages. Like: 4 -> IV -> चतुर् -> and so on
>Implying George Washington did not take part in the War of Northern Aggression right
next you'll tell me there weren't any mexicans involved
It's not really about the deaths.
Take Sphinx for example. He lived a long and relatively good life, but was still miserable and ended up dying with regret.
What do you mean?
You notice what?
Kouko has Fortuna's circle.
You're stretching a bit there mate.
That means he had two, since he gave one to Rune too.
Bitch stole it.
So Fortuna took other from Spacifica
It's the exact same color though. Doubt that's a coincidence.
Ah hey you're right, did she kill him and take it from him?
It might depend on the user.
Eh, I'm not seeing it.
>Sphynx gets roman numerals instead of Greeks.
That's why no one remembers your name, fucker.
Conclusion: Kouko is both a bitch and a thief.
Koko's super cute with a bob cut.
Are there doujins yet?
Is it strange that he already has his 7 spirits? Was the amount of reincarnated lives a preset condition? Or is Fortuna the end?
But Fuuta is Fortuna. Why would he get a different color? Unless Koko was Fortuna all along.
Well, it's a circle so 7 might be Fuuta and 1 might be Fone in his circle. We do know that Fuuta's 1 is Fortuna, though.
Fortuna is both the end and the beginning.
It's a circle, after all.
Why did they die?
No, seriously, they died just from walking too much.
5 4 3 2 1
They were still seriously injured from fucking each other up
>Fuuta is Fortuna
No. Fuuta is Fuuta.
then who was phone
Lack of proper medical treatment plus exhaustion. seems fairly normal to me.
>Losing an arm isn't just a matter of losing your ability to use a hand, it's a part of your body. You lose the flesh and blood which went a long with it. This means you're more susceptible to disease and fatigue becausr of it.
They killed themselves because they weren't fully healed and they hobbled for over a day straight without an arm of a leg each. You know Marathons? Those are based off an ancient greek story about a messenger running from Marathon to Athens, 26 miles straight. What people often forget about the story though is that the messenger died from exhaustion afterwards.
Your body isn't some indestructible machine that only fails when it's diseased or injured. You can die from overusing ot as well.
But how can he be Fuuta if he's Fortuna?
How can he be Fortuna if he's Fuuta.
Gotta look at dat palm man.
Because Fuuta is Fortuna. Checkmate, atheists. I just proved the concept of reincarnation.
It's not the death that's sad, it's their lives.
Spirit Circle obviously uses the Buddhist concept of reincarnation where you specifically AREN'T the same as the guy who you were reincarnated from. Since Buddha rejected the concept of the unchangeable Atman and instead taught of the concept of Samsara and proposed that there was continuity for souls and that they too changed after each incarnation.
So no, I'm not atheist and you're wrong.
But how can he be Buddhist when he's Japanese? Checkmate, atheists.
>So no, I'm not atheist and you're wrong.
He's obviously fucking with you and I don't know why you're taking it this seriously.
How can anyone be Buddhist when Fortuna existed way before Buddha? Checkmate logic.
Obvious conclusion: Fortuna is Buddha.
If Fortuna was fat, he'd be Buddha
Who said I was serious.
Why do their hate carry over if they're supposed to be completely different beings?
So, when will the current translator kill himself so that someone competent can finally take over?
That's not how it works. They're all unique, but they carry over the consequences of their former actions, Karma.
Although I'm fairly certain a lot of liberties where taken when the story was written.
Hate transcends all.
Why does he suffer from "past shocks" if the ego doesn't carry over?
You don't normally get to relive your past lives.
>A is B!
>then why does it exhibit C when ~C is in B?
>it's magic! I don't gotta explain shit!!!
They both have spirit-seeing powers, in varying degrees depending on their reincarnation, which should explain why they can remember the 'spirits' of their past lives.
>implying it's not the other way 'round
Why does his friendship also carry over if only karma is supposed to be carried over?
Why is he stuck with the same group of people in his reincarnations?
Why don't I have a cute spirit sidekick like Rune?
"Past shock" isn't him seeing spirits, it's him outright acting like his previous self.
They are mediums for spirits, basically.
He's not possessed, though. According to Kouko, it's his psyche getting mixed up. Hence why he acknowledges he's Fuuta and Flors at the same time.
That's called channeling.
Yeah, he's "channeling" his psyche, not a spirit like you claim.
Technically, they are still souls, more or less, it's not like they suddenly get deleted or something, they should still have individual spirits beyond the reincarnation businesses.
Wait, I'm confused.
Are we talking about stuff like when Fone's rage bled through and led Vann to kill the Witch, or are we talking about stuff like when Fuuta wrote his name in Greek?
I was just speaking about how it work in buddhism, but since all the stuff about reliving your past incarnation is something the author came up with I can't explain it. He can basically pull whatever he wants, since it isn't based on something real.
NO NO NO
NO THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO ADOPT HER
The point is that those individual spirits are part of Fuuta's psyche and not some outside source which completely contradicts your claim earlier about Buddhism.
It's actually weird how Fuuta's reaction to first seeing Kouko is that "I love her" instead of "I want to murder the fuck out of her."
Something must've happnened in the 7th life. (I bet they get married.)
He died from hitting his head and losing his memories
so I'll ask again
does anyone else see the influence in the past lives of a shadow figure (likely spascifica) that is pushing Fuuta and Kouko together where otherwise they would've lived peacefully apart?
aztec era - if the priest guy doesn't choose rei, nothing goes down
dark ages - if the church doesn't send the knights to investigate about witches, nothing happens
egypt - if his dad hadn't sent him off to build the sphinx and then died before he got back, he wouldn't have resented her so much
feudal japan - if the nobility hadn't sent her to eliminate the furan, they wouldn't have even ever met.
That seems like too much of a stretch to assume that one individual is responsible for each of those events.
not if you think about it... in each case fuuta and kouko were living their lives out peacefully, without incident.
then something happens to put them on a collision course with each other, and that something always had someone in charge of it.
It could be explained with Specifica's reincarnation line.
Fate pushes them together, just as it pushes Fuuta together with his drinking bros.
The fact that it's seems like someone is pushing is just because they aren't living in a vacuum.
This Spascifica guy probably relates to Fuutas life before he was Fortuna (East said he didn't recognize it. he might be lying of course). Fortuna had a spirit circle with six flames, that means he has had to seen past lives as well, which would be before he met Kouko's soul logically.
that made me feel so bad for the little girl, she did her best to save them and take care of them so she can have a family again and they just go and die like retards
Oh yes please.
whatever Fortuna did better be worth the hate.
Fortuna was Batman
Spasifica was the one who killed East
Kouko a retard
>Mizukami doing Rose of Versailles
my body wouldn't be ready
Someone explain this to me.
you know, the rock
Goddammit, you bitch.
But that's not a dead body. He said that she'll wake up eventually.
Well in the latest chaps she already did
The latest chapters aren't translated, you're a cunt
V is Roman 5
to its right is 1
to its right is the Chinese 3
that's all I know
greatest love story ever told.
so they decide to handle their problems like rational adult
god damn thats impressive for manga/ anime
>This or BH will never get an anime.
holy crap, I always thought that was an N and not a IV, didn't even look at it as roman
Question: How many times did Fuuta and Koko die virgins?
Duralumin's translation was incredible, CR is kinda lame actually, but at least it has proper grammar.
I think Koko died a virgin all her lives. That must be why she is so cranky.
You mean never.
Fuuta has gotten laid at least once. With his best friend's girl too.
They straight up let it go. They had each done the same wrong thing to each other, the symmetrical injuries, see? And then they were in the right state of mind to hear the big guy suggest giving it up.
I'm also very pleased with the big guy's arc. From a fake priest to a forward-thinking leader to an enlightened priest.
It's got to be something from the Lost Age. Kouko finally remembers that she had a good reason to hate him in the first place.
Nonomura. Rei hasn't shown up in a while. Unless she was the little girl that was with the nursemaid when they left with the princess.
Vann's idiot brother is a recurring character now.
Those last few lifetimes, though. When the afterlife was getting more and more modern and K was still hating themself.
Where is chapter 20?
>Just imagine the Biscuit Hammer anime thread, spoilers everywhere.
hasn't everybody here read LaBH by now?
I mean it has been required reading for sometime now
>His brother has a pretty bad history with Fuuta,
that reminds me, isn't Fuuta's mother preggers?
Theres a ton of people on /a/ that just dont read manga.
Don't underestimate the force of animeonlyfags. Truly the worst.
Do we even have a required reading list? I mean fuck, I loved LaBH when it was being scanlated, but I'd be surprised if even half of /a/ has heard of it
animeonlyfags I can sort of understand.
sometimes reading ahead reduces your enjoyment of the anime.
I refuse to believe however, that there are people here that do not read manga not saying they don't exist, just that I refuse to believe it. inb4 ostrich with head in sand
yes, yes we do
there are many slightly differing versions of this chart, but we do have a recommended reading list
I read Biscuit Hammer, and I thought it was good, not great, but good. I only kept going because /a/ told me too, but it only started getting good when all the beast knights assembled.
Like 4 chapters into this and I'm hooked. It's soooo much better.
>could I even end up in the future
I certainly hope so. Unless the Lost Age is actually the future.
They lost a couple of limbs. That puts a huge strain on your body. You don't just tape that up and go back to the fight, once the shock and adrenaline run out you are screwed for a long, long time.
>Goodnight Pun Pun
>slice of life, comedy, drama
That list needs to be updated.
