What people don't realize is that each BD of Teekyu cost just as much as a regular BD but cost the developers as much as an episode of Inferno Cop, meaning that its profit margins are sky-high
>>
>>101499758
There is only one Teekyu Blu-ray and it contains all 12 episodes and costs 3,990 yen
>>
>>101499818
So they make a profit of 3985 yen a sale.

You can go ahead and announce that season 3, I.G.
>>
>>101501122
Right now Chuuni is predicted 5,5k so taking into account obvious underestimation, it should have 7k average. If last episodes are significantly better, prediction could rise to like 7-7.5k meaning ~9k average. If some even ticket and OVA are announced as extras, it could be even possible to reach 10k average but I would set that as absolute maximumwhich is still realistically possible. However if things don't change, it will be around 7k, as said previously.

Well you clearly didn't pay attention either because not all of them are in elementary school. And why does the story taking place at an elementary school make it suddenly better in quality? That makes absolutely no difference. It's the same basic formula with similar jokes and silly situations as many other SoL anime. You clearly have not seen enough.
>>
>>101502794
>And why does the story taking place at an elementary school make it suddenly better in quality?
We were talking about offering something new, shitposter-kun. Work on your attention span.
Nope, you clearly haven't seen enough if you're unable to distinguish and acknowledge the differences. You're talking like some battle shounen tardwho thinks all calmer anime are the same.

A good anime doesn't have to be very original to be good. K-On! brings almost nothing new to the genre but it was the most successful SoL of all time ( obviously except Sazae-san). But NNB is pretty different compared to other SoL anime:

>Country setting

Sales mean NOTHING. It's a government funded anime, which means views are all that matter.
>>
>>101504569
At 1,2k points? Don't fool yourself.
At the current rate, SYD2 might be the only real contender apart from Chuu2, being able to overtake it in a few weeks. Though technically, the season's top seller (preorder recipient) is still Sonico - but we all know about the swimsuit figma.

1.2k currently doesn't mean much,WCW's potential is higher than Chuu2
>>
>>101505091
People are going to buy Chuu2 at HMV, Animate or Tsutaya because of the attractive store bonuses. Chuu2 will sell much better than what stalker suggest, that's for sure.
>>
>>101505315
And don't forget the KyoAni shop.

Those don't get reported to Oricon though.
And to be honest, their bonus for Chuu2 is shit (tin badge set). Their mini genga books bonuses for Free and KnK were more attractive for fans.
>>
>>101505315
Chuu2 maybe got some sell in HMV,but that's it
Enjoy your "pre-high sales" like last time
>>
>>101505525
Tsutaya and Animate will get some sizeable sales as well.
>>
Why are kyoanus so sure people will buy it hmv and animate and tsutaya? If season 1 sold well on these places it doesn't guarantee that it will sell on these places this time.

Dude Chuu2(and all winder 2014 anime) isn't even ranked in Animate

2 Kyoani show release together huh
Next week will be fun
>>
>>101504826

BD minimum was a bit high this week, otherwise Log Horizon should have 2~2.5k in BD.
>>
>>101505763
Most of those titles will flop next week. Anime is dead.
>>
So knk will average about 7k sales. That's very good for a show that was supposed to be a flop.
>>
Every season starts with Kyoanifags claiming that this season's KyoAni LN ad will be the XXX killer and best seller. It never does and you see their sales target keep dropping and dropping.
>>
>>101506475

It's third week for KnK, so Vol.1 sales won't see much increase anymore. The average will only drop from now on, so expect KnK average around 6k or worse.
>>
>>101506020
>>101506146
Best cover.
>>
>>101503400
Second season has the most Niconico preorders, too. People from there really like the show.
>>
>>101502936
Not exactly elementary school. Mix of middle school andelementary school. Anyway, elementary schoolers as main characters (Hotarun MC, Renge main appeal) aren't too common in anime.

>>101503050
I never said it's only elementary school setting. I stressed out elementary part because it isn't common.
I wasn't implying that.

>>101504139
You're wrong with calling it generic. If NNB is generic, then almost everything would be, resulting in 'generic' becaming a word devoid of any meaning.

>>101503451
Yeah. KnB might be somewhat gay but the action is really nice. Meanwhile IS simply sucked except for few Char/laura/Tatenashi moments.

>>101505585
There's no absolute guarantee but chances are very high. High enough to consider them a given until proven otherwise.

>>101506475
What. Even v1 with event ticket won't reach 7k. KnK will be lucky to average 5k.
>>
NNB is extremely overrated. Japan typical shit taste does not mean it's better then many shows that had low sales.
>>
>*4,077 *1 Magi: The Kingdom of Magic [DVD+BD]: 2014/01/22
10,000 less than volume 1 sales of season 1. Sad thing is S2 is better than S1, no QUALITY.
>>
>>101507535
No anon, your taste is shitty. NNB is great.
>>
>>101507577
Magi doesn't depend on disc sales but merchandising. That it got high disc sales is a sign of its popularity with otaku beyond the normal audience that watches shows like magi.
>>
>>101506886
Based Tesabu.
>>
>>101507651
I guess. The manga is selling well and with so many characters the merch must be selling like hot cakes.
>>
>>101507911

No kidding. Magi sold better than Naruto last year.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-12-01/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series/2013
>>
>>101502075
That's some pretty low expectations right there.
>>
>>101507636
Even the people who wanted to post pictures of people sleeping fell asleep before they could do so. Watching an aquarium is more exciting than watching NNB. Healing, my ass. Some studio should animate a fireplace DVD and it would sell.
>>
>>101505763
>KnK
>Kaminai

gonna be a good week.
>>
>>101505763
When will Yowamushi Pedal volume 3 be out? First two volumes came with event tickets, can't wait to see the Sissypedal tank big time.
>>
>>101510126
V3 has a drama CD, so you'll have to wait until v4 for it to flop.
>>
>>101510498
Fuck, they are really desperate.
>>
>>101502167
I'm sure you watch it for the basketball, fujoshit.
>>
>>101510612
Isn't it basically DBZ: Basketball version? I didn't pick it up because of the powerlevels bullshit, or am I wrong?
>>
>>101507535
>>101507636
I thought NNB was good, and I'm glad it got a lot of sales, but there's no denying it's overrated here on /a/. Maybe because it was one of the few cute girls doing cute things SOL last season.
It does have its flaws and it's not the bastion of perfection some people make it out to be.
>>
>>101510672
About as basketball as Saki is mahjong.
>>
>>101510734
There's a lot of mahjong in Saki. Aren't you mistaking Saki for Achiga-hen?
>>
>>101510734
Never watched Saki either, so it's unrealistic?
>>
>>101510726
It is slightly overrated here and in someother places but I think it deserves its sales. More like GJ-bu, Yuyushiki, Tamayura and KinMosa sold less than they deserved.
>>
>>101510734
About as basketball as Ro-kyu-bu
>>
>>101510726
You also have to consider that it aired during an absolutely dogshit season.
>>
>>101510672
If you think they watch it for the basketball you'd laughably naive. Also yes it's unrealistic shounen bullshit. Not something for realistic play, but the fans don't watch it for that.
>>
>>101510783
It's mahjong with superpowers. Thing is, this isn't just some magic bullshit but special abilities are taken into account by characters, becoming part of strategy, to make the game even more interesting. Also, skilled players are perfectly capable of taking on players with special powers. Just remember it's also cgdct and yuri.
>>
>>101510672
It's not really that bad in S1 aside from Midorima's 100% full-range 3 pointer bullshit. I even almost considered it dropping at that point, but the rest of the matches are great, especially the season finale.

S2 has a lot more in terms of powerlevels but it's still a fun ride, as long as you know what you're getting into.
I've read and enjoyed SD and Real and Kuroko was still entertaining. Just gotta turn off your brain and enjoy it as it is.
>>
>>101510498
Bummer
At least Kill la Kill will drop, what's the usual drop-off from v1 to v2? 20% should be expected, right? Can't wait to tell those delusional fags their shit show will fail to reach a 10k average as they hoped.
>>
>>101510912
>>101510926
I see, thanks. Not going to watch Kuroko or Saki then.
>>
>>101511140
Drops by 20-25% from v1 to v2 (not counting volumes with event tickets) are in the normal range.
>>
>>101511140
In last two months only reverse trolls and crossboarding(-siting) morons were talking about 10k average for KLK. It is possible but ONLY if something huge happens in next episodes. Rather unlikely but we shouldn't completely dismiss the possibility.
Remember that event ticket, OVA or other special shit could also help.
>>
>>101509573
Boost because of the anime and people buying previous volumes. Naruto still has the higher sales on average going by individual volumes but Magi has the advantage of having more volumes ranked.
>>
The big failures are actually IS and Kuroko; they're both selling 10k less than the first season. Fucking pathetic.
>>
>>101511140
Vol 1 of KLK had no extra.
>>
>>101513719
Both are guaranteed to get a S3. Sure is a huge failure.

>>
>>101499746

Huh.
>>
>>101513805
It doesn't matter, usually, following volumes always drop. Sometimes this is countered by putting some bonus on the second volume. Free! did it with event tickets for volumes 2 and 3 and managed to have steady sales for those volumes before dropping some 25-30% on volume 4, IIRC.
This said, KlK had a shitton of extras, like the limited edition Sawano remix OST. So you're probably trolling.
>>
>>101515037
Free only dropped 24% for v4 (no event ticket) and has remained steady since then with just a little under 25k for each volume.
>>
>>101514106
I can see her pants. lewd
>>
>>101515037
KLK vol 2 has the exact same amount of extras is what I meant. They just replaced the remix CD with a drama CD.

>>101514132
Compared to PsychoPass, VVV or Vividbutt? Not really.
>>
It's hard to think about bomba/not-bomba by thinking only about BD/DVD sales. By all means, Gargantia would have been a bomba. The marketing was pretty hardcore and the like, definitely not meant to be a 10k show. But the merchandise and surrounding stuff sold pretty great so it got an S2. PsychoPass is the same.
>>
>>101519019
What exactly was Gargantia selling?
Just a couple of books and figures?
>>
>>101519255
Like 4 manga adaptations.
