Why is fanservice still prevailing in anime when many complain it ruins otherwise good or even awesome shows? Dose this mean anime fans are tsundere for fanservice?
Because a majority of anime fans are horny teenagers who will only watch something they can fap to. The "many" that complain are not the majority of anime fans.
All questions answered.
People love tits. Always have, always will.
Do you even know what "fanservice" is? You'll find fanservice, in everything, that's what pandering to a certain fanbase mean.
Anime fans are not a homogeneous entity.
GL would have been better without the cheap clichèd (pic related) fanservice moments. It is an uncreative way to get more viewers without much effort, and gainax popularized it with eva. eva was a serious show, yet it had a lot of pointless fanservice.
anime fanservice = ass and titties
/a/ is the only entity that openly criticizes (sexual) fanservice
>eva was a serious show
I wonder if you are serious.
that's because we have /h/ and /d/
Or BIG EXPLOSION WITH MECHA or LOOK AT HOW GAR THIS GUY IS, SO MANLY HE KILL PEOPLE WITH HIS AURA or OH LOOK YURI/YAOI
fanservice is fine if it's used for comedic effect, but in non-comedies it kinda ruins it for me.
i know it's just there to appeal to the teens who for some reason can't figure out how to work the internet because they are not good with computer but for people who can easily download porn it just makes no sense to ruin a show without going fullout hentai.
I like fanservice in animes where the show is clearly meant to be watched to have a fun time.
I have problems with fanservice in serious things, but that doesn't happen very often, and in fact, I can't even remember what the show that did this and pissed me off so badly was right now.
just because something is awesome doesn't mean it's fanservice
It's not going anywhere. Men (generally) like it, and women either like it, or don't dislike it enough for it to influence whether or not they buy it. The only issue is when studios use fanservice to replace good characters and a coherent plot. That's the only time when it starts to bother people, because there's effectively nothing else to grab your attention.
or LOL OTAKU REFERENCES xDDDDDDDDDDD
Lucky Star was 100% a fanservice anime, even without tits.
Something can be awesome and fanservice too.

If it hadn't been for the "cheap clichèd (pic related) fanservice moments" a sizeable chunk of viewers would have dumped GL pretty early on.
