what do you guys think of Higurashi?
It was alright. Got more hate than it deserved. And people kept reposting the intentional disfigurations and saying it was QUALITY.
that it's sad there will be no more
Got progressively worse with each new adaption.
As for the VN, I haven't read it, supposedly is better in all aspects except for the terrible art.
Watching it right now, so far I just don't know what the fuck is going on.
It got better over time.
The LN was a joy to start, though I admit I never finished it. In retrospect, the first season was great. But, while I was originally going through the episodes, I was pretty appalled at the treatment of the characters. This however made the final arc of the first season pretty powerful, when the main character, forget his name, was becoming aware of the time loop and trying to prevent another catastrophe.
The second season started off strong, with the mystery and horror being replaced with a pretty clear goal for the characters, and of course at this point I actually cared enough about the characters to want them to succeed. The arc about the poor loli being abused by an uncle was fantastic. The midpoint however, it became just a bit too predictable, and way too "action"-like. The final conflict stretching over the last few episodes was poorly executed (though I've seen much worse).
uh VN I meant, whoops
I was thinking about reading the Visual novel.
How long is it?
Vndb gives me 30-50 hours but that's too broad
I read the LN, but haven't watched anything animated. Which ones have new content?
Goddamit the VN, and didn't meant to quote. Too sleepy.
What do you think about lurking moar?
Just watch it.
I think its the hitman
Are you telling me shit like that time ooishi was in the car mirror and his eyes were looking in two seperate directions was intentional?
Some of it might have been, but it's studio deen bro.
I picked it up the other day, and I'm almost done with season 1. It's pretty good, but I'm not sure how each plot is related. Some of the plots tie into each other fine, whereas others would require characters coming back to life.
I would choose the Higurashi universe above all others if I could live in Hinamizawa.
Blue hair girl travels through worlds with her imaginary friend trying to find one where everyone doesn't die horribly
Others don't remember other worlds
At the end of season two she finds one
Nagisa dies at the end of clannad
hanyuu a qt
But are they still doing those outbreak episodes? or did they just decide to stop
Haven't watch this in years.
Wasn't the reason for everyone craziness because of Swamp Gas?
no it's done. that was it. I would be completely fine if they ever decided to make up Higurashi zombie survival story
picking after where that left off, though.
Do you know Oyashiro-sama?
no that song sucks
