What do you guys think of this? I just got finished and I loved it. Can't believe it took me this long to finally decide to watch it.
Objectively speaking, it's shit.
I've always wanted to be a teacher but this only made me want it harder.
I'll work very hard, wish me luck everyone!
Good luck anon-kun
One of the greatest of all time OP
His faces always get me.
Glad you liked it. Yoshikawa had some great character development
At first I thought the anime would be a joke towards teachers but it was the complete opposite.
I want to be like Onizuka, I want my students tos ee me as their equal.
I only have the B-A 480p version, is there some BD out there?
I dropped it shortly after the organ being thrown out of that school window in the idol arc. I can see why people like it but for me the jokes were too repetitive and bad to sit through, regardless of how good the payoff was going to be.
The later half suffered from being rushed (particularly at the non-canon end where Onizuka does the one thing he promised he'd never do), but yeah. Good anime.
I might read the manga scanlations some day, but the last time I checked (years ago), there were availability issues.
In this fucking school system, good luck.
Fortunately I don't live in America and got a job with JET to teach in Japan.
You should keep watching it. It gets better and better.
JET is a dangerous game my friend. Hopefully you get good schools that actually want you to take part. Otherwise you'll just be the monkey advising english every so often.
The anime sucked in my opinion but the manga was god-tier.
I know the risk and I'm still willing to take them. I've already taught English in some middle-schools and I've had lots of fun with the kids.
I have also made my research, the best thing I can do now is let JET pay for my ticket and help me settle in Japan to later cancel my contract and get a job by myself.
I have 3 years to learn Japanese and I have already learned the kanas and some kanji. I'm miles away from my goal but I'll try as hard as I can.
This. The anime in no way does the manga justice. GL getiing decent scans all the way through tho
I only read the manga but Urumi is best student
If only both her eyes had been brown.
I bet you haven't even read the manga
Yeah? Well do you really expect me to read this shit scan?
Did you get that from Bakabt? Mine is from Mangatraders.
what scanlation group is this? I had to put with the horrible shit of >>101489113
I watched it too early in my anime viewing days. It wasn't early enough for me to value it as nostalgia like DBZ though.
I considered it edgy back then but I doubt I'll be as amused or shocked if i watched it today. I may never revisit it.
Is the manga better or are you just being a mangafag?
How can you not like this face? Also, Steve Blum does an excellent job in the dub.
I haven't gotten around to reading it myself but I'm pretty sure the anime is incomplete or somesuch. Why wouldn't you want to read the manga in that case if you liked the show.
No he doesn't.
But I said he does, and everyone knows my taste is superior to yours.
>I watched it too early
>It wasn't early enough
I don't understand your post one bit.
Anime left entire arcs out, incomplete ending, etc. I like the manga art too. I didn't know calling people a "mangafag" was a thing.
He does an okay job. Best out of the rest of the cast, but that's not saying much. The outtakes were hilarious though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KlzmEi-ZUo
American VAs are shit. Your shit is taste for liking dubs.
where is a good torrent for this? ive been meaning to watch this but i cant find a good dl
Inspired me to be a teacher.
I now teach College.
On my first day I wrote my name on the board like Onizuka.
I feel like I'm living the dream.
I found mine on bakabt.
My brother, I did the same thing on my first class in middle school. What did you teach?
Hey /a/, is this you?
Hear this man, 'murricans VAs sucks.
If I had watched it earlier I'd at least have nostalgia to lean on. This was one of the first "mature" anime I ever watched but other than that it holds no special significance in my mind.
If I go back to watch it now I may very well think it's shit.
English. Mostly just writing/rhetoric courses so far.
America's dub industry should die or get some lessons from Mexico's VAs. They are truly OP.
Hey, he did end up getting a hot bitch do fall in love with him. /a/ can't do that
I almost started it, but doesn't it have like 3 other manga that take place before it?
They would if they got their asses of their computers.
That said here I am, too.
I've always liked Steve Blum because when I first started watching anime, I watched dubs, and Mugen and Spike are 2 of my favorites characters. I guess I have a soft spot for him
I want to be a teacher, but isn't there a surplus of people who want to be teachers right now?
Manga was great until the Angels arc. That arc was a bit over the top. Anime was meh. To this day, I'm still annoyed that they didn't have Onizuka with his Pompadour in the beginning. I enjoyed the SJG OVAs more.
All this projecting.
You just have to stand out.
I easily make friends with students and I talk to them like a brother would. I call them out on their bullshit but also laugh at some crap they do.
I once found a guy showing another guy a porn mag so I confiscated and pasted the guy's picture over the models and then put it under his desk. A week later the kid began talking to me during recess and we became bros.
You in Japan?
Shut up momma's boy.
>using the word bro
You are a massive tool.
Thanks mang, if you want more just suscribe.
