I've put off watching this for too long.
Dub or subs?
>Dub or subs?
Why are you asking /a/: the proud haters of all things dubbed?
Because there's a small chance that someone that isn't an asshat will come along and give actually useful advice. It's a stretch, but it's happened.
But the answer is always "subbed" why bother asking the question?
Are you looking for an excuse to watch dubbed anime?
Holy dick shitting nipples, just watch the subs. The dub is good, but as always, it's shit compared to original. They did not put as much emotion into the dubbed version, it is an inferior product. Like >>101479518 said, subbed is always the answer.
Ignore trolls, dubbed
download dual audio and make your own fucking decision
aside from spike and jet the dub is shit though
Bebop and Champloo are two shows I would actually suggest watching dubbed.
Dubs. Then subs.
Oh wait, only if you're Italian
Look to your post number for the answer
But seriously, just watch the sub
Get both and decide for yourself.
> aside from spike and jet the dub is good though
fixed that for you
Watched this in english and spanish dubs, english dubs sucks, spanish dubs were gold.
But get subs dude, it's better to listen it in its original language (applies to all media)
The original voice cast has several of the most legendary and talented seiyuu of all time. I don't see why you'd pass on the subbed version unless you're a "hurr don't wanna read muh animes" simpleton.
Bebop's dub is better than the original.
I'm getting pretty mixed signals here...
Ah, regardless, BBt has a dual audio version up with seeders so I'll watch Ep1 with both and decide for myself.
Wow OP how convenient, I just finished the entire series an hour ago. It's very good, I watched it dubbed and really enjoyed it, Ed's a bit annoying but I could tolerate him/her.
OP, Cowboy Bebop is the only example where the majority prefer the dub to the sub.
/a/ being /a/ are being elitist assholes by saying it's shit, it's not.
It is the benchmark to all dubs should strive for, but ultimately fail.
Watch either, but the dub is the best dub you will ever get for an anime.
Yeah, I was thinking that. Thanks.
It's a shame that threads like this are now tolerated and accepted on /a/. OP, fuck off. You could easily Google your question for an instant answer.
Latino o de españa?
You think I trust the opinion of a few circlejerking Narutards or one pretentious blog article over getting 20 different opinions from /a/ and deciding myself? Yeah, fuck off.
Both versions are admirable when it comes to the quality of acting within the main cast. However, what separates the sub from the dub is the more consistent quality of acting in side characters.
That said, if you want to watch an anime and critically analyze it the most fair way to do it is by watching the original. I find it kind of ironic that so many Bebop fans sperg out over Watanabe but don't actually watch the version with the actors he directed.
I have no major issues with the dub, but I see no reason to watch it if you don't have nostalgia for it already.
Personally I preffered the subs over the dub, but make your own choice
I'm just going to remind you, when making posts like this that have little to no value, don't bump the whole fucking thread.
Also, please check your post for spelling errors. We aren't 12 years old here.
I honestly don't understand why it has to be an either/or choice all the time. Both versions are good and worth watching.
Honestly, I don't think the dub is that good and I don't think the majority of people have even given the sub a shot due to nostalgia for the dub. I think it has too many issues with side characters being wooden as fuck or phoning it in. I think FLCL is far more consistent for example, granted that's a six episode OVA. It's also one of maybe three dubs I prefer over the original. The other two being Dead Leaves and Golden Boy.
THE DUB. ARE YOU KIDDING?
Calm you're fucking tits, you faggot.
Sage has been invisible for months.
I would give my fucking arms and legs just to get those "first time feels" from Bebop again.
>it's shit compared to original
Nope its better
I've watched both (whole thing dubbed, and about half way though subbed), and I can honestly say that I think the dubbed voice acting is of higher quality. Subs are also great, nothing wrong with either so just pick your preference.
Only problem with the dub is, as people have mentioned, Spike's VA was not great.
