Thanks for ruining JRPG
We care very much /v/
Keep making quality threads
Go home, Frenchboy.
Tell this to my face and not online and see what happen
>90's look like ass
>modren looks passable
Where's the problem?
You misspelled saving.
every suikoden protagonist looks insanely boring no matter what game
There was nothing to ruin in the first place.
I want to talk about JRPGs with /a/ too OP, but its not happening.
>implying Tales of Xillia was shit.
You are retarded, there is no 90's JRPG that has a combat system anywhere close to as innovative as that. Maybe you should learn a little about game design before you go post claims.
I would say fuck off to /v/, but even they will think you are retarded.
Looks good to me.
The games are pretty dreadful to be honest
also OP you're forgetting segagaga
Why not play a real Tales game, like Hearts R or Innocence R? Xillia is trash.
>Tales of Xillia
Only one I suffered.
holy shit this made me laugh, this reminds me of the original megaman box cover
i love these
90's JRPGs had plenty of strengths. Character designs were not one of them.
The problem nowadays is that people in the west prefer open world, edgy games, not JRPGs, that are supposed to have as their strength plot and characters.
Star Ocean 2 was the best game ever made.
Deal with it, fags.
It also had the best endings. I could literally end with whatever girl I wanted. It was also good that main girl was a great girl and we got married, moved to Earth, became a Captain, and then had a child.
Fucking hell, /v/, don't you have school or something?
Xillia isn't even close to innovative, the game lacked so much unfortunately
Yes, /v/ is a bunch of immature babies that play games but /a/ watching it's cartoons and having imaginary girlfriends is sooo mature.
I'm an /a/ regular but you people sometimes need to be more self-aware. Or suicidal.
That's how I felt before playing Hearts R.
RIP Final Fantasy
Is there a translation out yet?
>I'm an /a/ regular
>but you people
No you're not.
Sometimes people such as yourself need to be more aware of their need to fuck off
JRPGs are saved
What happened? They stopped releasing it? Or are they trying to make it more like CoD because it was too cartoon-ish?
You are not /a/
No, sadly. Probably never.
It's best to either wait for Vita to get fully hacked and wait for translations, or just import it.
I don't see the problem, modern JRPG look much better
Keeping this /a/ related and ignoring /v/ scum, what JRPGs would be good to adapt to an anime? Or just have a well-animated opening?
They do suck from aweful gameplay/story nowdays though. Or obnoxious characters.
There's really no reason to play modern JRPG other than they (might) look pretty.
They stopped being good after FF10 in my opinion.
I did liked FF12 even though people hated it.
>not the real cancer
Thanks for ruining Final Fantasy, faggots
JRPGs are shit anyways
WRPGs are better anyway.
Seriously, you want this crap animated?
i hate the fact that japan prefers consoles and won´t release jrpgs for pc.
Radiant historia, and chrono trigger to start.
Why not? Especially cosidering the opening is from Paradox Spiral's director.
Pretty much this.
It's more to do with the direction it's been going after 8 in general.
I don't think any JRPG would make a good anime, because of the inherent grinding part.
If you think about it, it's like an even edgier version of SnK.
>Directed by Mamoru Oshii
>Written by Kazunori Ito
>Music by Kenji Kawai
Anime staff in charge of video game
You can always skip the grinding parts, and just animate the main events of the game like they did for Symphonia.
Phantom Brave: Cute girls, Yuri, Marona is a great main character
>implying they would include grinding in an anime adaptation
>most of the jprgs on OP has aged extremely poorly and would be unpalatable to replay by todays standards
that's right, now fuck off and take your nostalgia goggles with you
>i hate the fact that japan prefers consoles
japan loves the handheld, the console cannot survive without the western world and japan never embraced the home computer.
