Why is it so good, /a/?
because it made me think how much life should be appreciated. and because Akashi is perfect in every way.
It's not "so" good. It's good when you compare it with other anime, but overall I find it rather derivative (too many pointless episodes), underwhelming and unsubtle.
Still a fun show.
Thats pretty much what I got from it too.
I concur. It gets over-rated simply because people coming to this show are often starved for things done in this vein. Not to say it isn't good, it's a very good show and with substantially more meaning to it than typical seasonal highschoool girl club/SOL, loser becomes acquainted with hot girl/mission to save the world type crap.
I's definitely worth watching (and re-watching) but no 'masterpiece'.
because it has something to say and it goes on to say it within a reasonable amount of time (maybe a couple episodes too long, just my opinion though).
ITT: People not getting the point of the Tatami Galaxies
>I find it rather derivative (too many pointless episodes)
I don't think derivative is the word your looking for...
It's like Endless Eight, but done better.
It's fun, visually interesting, and >>101446305
Only show I've rewatched more than twice. I find something new each time.
I finally got around to watching it recently and I quite liked it. I had rewatched Welcome to the NHK before hand and it was a nice followup, since it shares some themes, but has a much more uplifting ending.
Man, that ending was glorious.
Do you all speak nip nong? How the hell can you even talk about a show whose dialogue is impossible to follow in subs? Did you watch it frame by frame? Share with me your secrets.
-rose tinted life does not exist
-the jock has sexual deviancy
-never trust someone called oz and looks like a goblin
-until you make the effort to break out you will only experience the same boring life time again even if the circumstances change - it is *you* who needs to change, not the world
The messages were simple. The show is good but over-rated because of self-insert fags. Mch like WttNHK but more condensed and with a different setting.
>impossible to follow in subs?
Speak for yourself you monkey.
>reading this slow
I'm more interested why you still haven't read the book, /a/nons. Why, /a/nons?
You just read faster
has it been translated?
Not entirely, but:
>never trust someone called oz and looks like a goblin
Did you even watch the last episode?
> until you make the effort to break out you will only experience the same boring life time again even if the circumstances change - it is *you* who needs to change, not the world
That's a bit off.
I agree that the message was simple, but you're not doing a very good of demonstrating it.
Thanks for the info, anon. I see it has only been translated up to page 61, do you know how long the book is? I read very fast and have a poor attention span when it comes to sporadic activities that take place over many weeks or months so I think I'm going to wait until it is completely finished.
I read v1-12 of Oyasumi PunPun in virtually one sitting a couple months ago and I only just got around to finishing it because Hox just finihsed v13 on the 28th.
>do you know how long the book is?
Jap Amazon says 405 pages.
I don't remember, but this is only the first chapter out of seven or so. The book is pretty long. As someone who read the original, animators done really good job with condensing the episodes. Extremely fast monologue helped immensely.
is there a book of it tell me where can i find it.Is the name same as anime ?
Read the thread, m8.
So at this translators pace it will take approximately ~2.6 more years to finish?
Damn I could actually learn Japanese and then just read the book myself in that amount of time.
Chances are that it never gets fully translated because the translator loses interest in it.
My moon is still too shitty to actually read novels, but I'm getting there.
Btw, it's not moon, it's chinese or korean, iirc. The moon one is just a translation.
The ED was like, 5 wallpapers per second.
Nah it's a japanese novel written by a japanese novelist. However, it was translated into korean and chinese.
OP was good too. And the character designer has done a terrific job.
It hits hard if you're the sort to just drift through life aimlessly, like me. It's one of my favourites.
Are you a middleschooler or something? Is this seriously all you got from the anime? Only the last one was marginally correct
What's the masterpiece version of Tatami Galaxy then?
Hardmode: No 90s series with terrible visuals
Were the subs really that fast? I only heard it was fast from other anons or websites after finishing the series and I didn't even notice it while watching.
Some people read slowly
I can see it being too fast for non-native English speakers. I never had any problems but I have a friend who dropped the series after two episodes because he couldn't keep up with the subs.
It gets better after episode 1. The very first scene (Shimogamo Shrine) is really, really fast. Once it cuts to Neko Ramen, it becomes a lot more manageable.
