What was the last series you dropped?
I'm thinking about dropping KlK, I stuck it with this long hoping it would get better. Pretty average for what I watched.
Wizard Barristers. I couldn't stand the MC anymore. Been a while since I last saw a legit mary sue.
We're nearing the final climax anyways.
I couldn't finish second episode of ImoCho. Norin is pretty atrocious too.
Really damn close to dropping:
Witch Craft Works
Already dropped (ep 2)
That stupid Shaft harem anime about yakuza
Nobunaga the Fool
Nobunaga the Fool
Nobunagun, probably. But I've already gone past the 3 episode rule and I've already downloaded the next two episodes.
Witch Craft Works
I might drop Golden Time since Ghost Banri is ruining it.
Nobunagun, for hetshit spoilers. Super sonico because hambeast.
Probably still that stupid fish people show, I kept watching everything else I started on
What happened? I only stuck with the show because I like the MC.
Manga spoilers revealed hetero relationship for MC.
Who is it? Is he the Jack the Ripper guy?
Yeah I think.
Well thanks for telling me. Now I finally have a good reason to drop this show.
Cowboy Bebop is overrated, there I said it.
Nobunaga the Fool
Might drop Hamatora if it doesn't get better.
Mikakunin de Shinkoukei (ep 1 drop, boring plot)
Sonico (ep 3 drop, sonico is a whale slut)
Hunter x Hunter
Boring start, boring action, boring dialogue, and boring boring plots. I couldn't even make it to episode 3 of the first, and couldn't make it past episode 1 of the second.
I never really drop something. I just place it on hold indefinitely. Latest was SAO, which a friend wanted to watch with me, but I just don't find it interesting enough to watch on my own.
That's not NGE.
This. Monogatari was boring as hell.
>Norin is pretty atrocious too.
>Really damn close to dropping:
>Witch Craft Works
Holy shit, this is probably the worst taste I've spotted anywhere on /a/.
Why the fuck would you drop a show because of that? Do you only watch gay stuff?
I have no fucking idea, considering Jack the Ripper is actually a pretty good male character compared to the haremshit MC tripe and betamax MC variety that infests bad shows.
It's childish drivel. I'm really embarrassed watching these shows.
What's wrong with something being childish?
I enjoyed first two episodes of Nobunagun, but apparenty episode 5 is full of fanservice. Quite frankly, I don't know if I want to continue.
Two episodes are all I've watched myself, but I really liked those two. Hoping to try the rest for myself soon, anyhow.
It's cringeworthy. Juvenile jokes about panties, wish fulfillment for adolescent boys, infantile, unfunny jokes. It's just not for me. I expect something more from my entertainment.
Karneval, Turned pretty boring and lost interest.
>Spice and Wolf
After so many years seeing fanwhoring I decided to watch it.
>Watch 3 episodes
wtf is this boring bullshit
>let's keep going, since everybody loves it so much, keep hearing it will get better, until ep 7
fuck this boring shit
>dropped and deleted
Pupa (so much potential what happened?)
Close to dropped:
Silver Spoon (novelty is wearing off)
Yowamushi Pedal (I don't mind all the gay subtext but these characters are such assholes)
And somehow Naruto gets better and better each episode. No end in sight for this great ninja anime.
Kill La Kill
so, how is your autism going?
I followed it for 2 seasons and an OVA, and finally dropped halfway through S2, when it became an unashamed harem with no excuses
pic better not be related you fuck
>I really like this show
>but I heard it's bad, so I'm going to drop it
Do you have absolutely no faith in your own taste?
>What was the last series you dropped?
Not really because it's a bad show, but because it has atrocious subs.
Yes, all three of them.
Maybe for BDs if somebody will bother rips them with a decent subbing.
No, I enjoyed it because of all this hotblooded action. It's just cool.
But if this turn into fanservice-ridden tripe then I'll drop it.
Of course I'm planning to watch episode 3.
What's so bad about ChihiroDesuYo or m33w?
>he watched Sonico after one episode
>I might drop Golden Time since Ghost Banri is ruining it.
Last episode was pretty great though. I'd say stick with it. Even the worst episodes have been pretty decent.
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
Along with almost everything this season except Sakura Trick and Saki.
>but apparenty episode 5 is full of fanservice.
It's full of funny is what it's full of.
Not Sakura Trick. Honestly it was probably SOA. I don't often drop series. I guess I've kinda dropped Space Dandy, but that mostly just because I've just not had any want to catch up on it.
Nobu the Fool.
I'd say ST, but dropping it during the first PV prior to episode 1 airing doesn't count. I tried, dykes are still gross as FUCK.
>I expect something more from my entertainment.
Something isn't quite right here.
Only Chihiro would do a joint with Hadena. I have nothing else to say at this point.
Chemistry between characters, interesting setting, cool fights, etc. This is enough.
Japanese perverted humour is not funny.
pic not related I hope.
I dropped SamFlam on episode 10, it sucks because I really loved it before all the weirdness started happening.
I'm not asking about what you think of them. I'm asking what's so wrong with this release that you'd drop the show because of the subs.
Nisekoi. I'd even prefer Mahou Sensou to this shit.
Pretty much any show that I pick up.
I used to marathon shows, but now I usually just watch as much as I can in a couple of hours then get distracted and completely forget about it. I think I might've lost most of my interest in anime. In the first 200 or so series that I've watched, there was always something new and interesting, but now it just all looks the same to me. I can usually tell how an anime will end within the first 3 episodes, sometimes in just the first episode, other times with just a description and a look at the characters, and then I loose all interest in it because it feels like something I've already seen before.
What's happened to me, /a/? Where did the good times go?
A-Anon please read what you're saying.
Mahou Sensou, but I somehow picked it back up. It's just so bad, I want to see where this trainwreck will go.
The other things I dropped from this season are Buddy Complex, Z/X Ignition, Wizard Barristers and Nisekoi. Considering dropping WUG too, but Yamakan's QUALITY is so entertaining it's making me unsure.
Also I should get out of this thread, seeing all this bad taste oozing out of it is harmful
Don't worry. Had this too after about 200+. I stopped watching anime for about a year. Now I'm fully back, most of the time.
You have shit taste if you prefer Mahou Sensou over Nisekoi. Sure, Nisekoi is pretty average, but I find it pretty good considering it's a harem and we knew the manga was pretty bad. Shaft did a pretty good job on this adaptation, I don't know why you would even pick it up expecting more.
forced myself through 1 1/2 episodes and then deleted it.
If you're actually able to rate subs, you really should be able to watch it raw. My powerlevel ain't there yet, but getting closer by the minute.
>If you're actually able to rate subs, you really should be able to watch it raw.
SoniAni. First time I've dropped an episode in fucking ages. Normally I can just stick it out, even if it's bad.
>Norin is pretty atrocious too.
You are such a massive fucking faggot.
>Witch Craft Works
Both great. Your taste is beyond shit.
Just fuck off back to where ever you came from.
You are either out of your fucking mind or trying way too hard to hate on Shaft.
Nobunaga the Fool
ZX Ignition, Sakura Trick, Imocho, D-Frag, Hoozuki, Witch Craft Works, Puka, Soniani, Mahou Sensou.
Thinking about dropping Hamatora, Nobunaga the Fool, Buddy Complex, and Nourin.
No, your taste is beyond shit. Please explain how these shows are good.
Typo, but fitting.
Ability to rate subs takes some comprehensive skill at Japanese, beyond "dostedt" and "watashi wa uguu~ no onii-chan???".
Space Dandy. Normally I have a 3 episode rule, but it was so boring an shit I dropped it after the 1st. Honourable mentions : Pupa, Engaged to the Unidentified.
They missed certain references. When rating certain subgroups, you're not looking exclusively at the quality of translation, either; more often than not you're after better typesetting and image quality.
Dropped Pupa. The censorship I can deal with to some extent. But this anime does NOT deserve such a short episode length, especially since DEEN was given a great chance to adapt a complete manga.
>dropping Sakura Trick
No, it fucking doesn't. Pic related, Funi's Nourin.
Not him, but obligatory every time No-rin subs are mentioned:
About rating subs: being good enough at moon to watch raws helps a lot and will make you able to spot translation issues, but it's not indispensable.
I would get into rating subs without knowing moon personally, tho.
(which isn't going to happen, like, ever.)
Kill me Baby. I actually liked it, but I couldn't bare watching Yasuna being bullied anymore. Dropped after EP7
The ED is 10/10, though.
>Not staying for the train wreck
They should learn from AIC Plus+.
I wouldn't *
See >>101453883, btw.
But it's not even a fain trainwreck to watch, it's just tedious and not worth spending 4minutes a week. The only trainwreck I had fun watching was Guilty Crown, that was something
Nobunaga 1st episode
Onee-chan ga Kita 3rd episode
Pupa - 3rd episode
Sonico - halfway into 3rd
I tried to keep going for middle two, but the short episodes really killed it for me. Sonico was just pure boredom.
The rest of the shows I'm watching really do enjoy.
Is it worth picking up Noragami, Witchcraft Works or Nobunagun?
I'm +800, and had it too, try watching your backlog. Really good series helps a lot with this. Also it is just a stage, now from all that cliches that irritates you, you should find the ones you love. And while watching show try to focus on NEW and GOOD things it brings to you (interesting visuals, likable ost, good written characters, interesting world building etc.)
And as >>101453383 -kun said, try stop and switch to another media for a while. Good luck, /a/non.
Well I guess it depends on what you seek in subs. Aren't they usually made soft so that you can choose your own positioning, size, font etc? I just always compare anime fansubs to English -> my native language-subs (which I rarely use) and I'm ready to accept more fallacies and clumsy style in the former since I can't properly into the moon yet so those get somewhat filtered.
Joke subs aside (this is one, right?), although their redemption is that they make even Naruto watchable.
Thanks for the link.
>I'm +800, and had it too
Not the anon you're quoting, but I got into that situation far earlier, maybe even less than 300 shows. These days, RSS downloader downloads almost every show and I end up finishing like 2 or 3 at most per season. I guess I post on /a/ more than I watch anime.
Noragami + Nobunagun yes, WCW no.
>Joke subs aside (this is one, right?)
No. These are the OFFICIAL subs. I said Funi, as in Funimation.
>Joke subs aside (this is one, right?), although their redemption is that they make even Naruto watchable.
Naruto is CR, not Funi.
As for that, no, that's not a joke. They messed up keikakudoori.
>he doesn't want to be treated like a princess
>Is it worth picking up Noragami, Witchcraft Works or Nobunagun?
Plot premise is kinda generic, but everything else is easily AOTS/AOTY tier. OST, animation, voice acting, visuals.
Faithful adaptation to the manga so far (you could always check it out before anime), it's ok. Watch at least up to 4th ep tho, that's when shit hits the fan - from then on it's just going to get crazier and crazier.
I won't deny it's not really a "great" anime (generic premise and low budget rest - unlike Noragami), but it's extremly entertaining.
In other words: watch WCW and Nobunagun and decide by yourself. Pick the fuck up Noragami NOW.
Welp, I took that for a joke thanks to the ebin keikakudoori maymay.
Its so ugly I could barely care less about the source material. It just is terrible to the eyes to watch, even more so comparatively when we have stuff like Nisekoi and Noragami to compare it to.
>ebin keikakudoori maymay
I don't know, after the first episode, everything kind of stagnated for me. The MC is cute and all, but the supporting characters are pretty much all annoying, and none of the fights have been interesting.
Wizard Barrister, it's just boring.
Z/X Ignition, cute angel, but I just can't deal with the extremely naive white knight mc
Might drop Mahou Sensou, it's just not interesting.
>It just is terrible to the eyes to watch
It isn't top tier by any means, but why do you say it's so terrible? What's so wrong with it?
>Shaft did a pretty good job on this adaptation
your taste is shit
it would be AOTY if jcstaff did it
but shaft ruined it
Good fucking god I did not realize it was so bad.
I put Pupa on hold after 3 episodes, I'll pick it up again when it's decensored.
>Well I guess it depends on what you seek in subs.
What the fuck are you talking about? You seem to be under the impression that all there is to fansubbing is the translation, which is really just one part of it; there's a lot more to it.
Oh god this. I saw the trailer and got really damn excited, the MC was completely absent from the trailer and now I know why.
Yeah Wizard Barristers is the only thing I'm close to dropping but I haven't had a chance to wathc many shows this season.
Also SamFlam cour 2 is fucking horrible. It's gone from being being fun SoL/kamen rider to being law and order with colour
Personally, I don't care as long as the translation conveys the meaning properly. But Funi's Nourin subs fail to do even that at some points.
I might drop Wizard Barristers too, I thought it would be great at first because the action scenes at the beeginning of ep1 were really well done and the lawyer premise seemed nice. But in the end there's not much action and there's nothing interesting going on, I expected Phoenix Wright tier OBJECTIONS but the court parts are really short and have nothing interesting. I don't have a problem with the MC personally but it's pretty boring overall.
I haven't watched ep4 yet, is it better than 2 and 3?
Just bad cinematography, and in my opinion an ugly artstyle and bad color palette. It just hurts my eyes to look at it, and god knows the story isn't enough to keep me going.
she is not a mary sue. she keeps getting saved by other people. the "omg i have awakened to new powers 50 billion times and everybody wants my tits" thing is annoying but the sakuga keeps me going. that said i'm watching 25 or so and i'd probably drop it if i were only doing 10.
my last drop was nobunagun because it got consistently worse since the fun first episode.
>people dropped Sakura Trick
>she is not a mary sue
>youngest wizard barrister
>everyone immediately likes her
>she gets to have her way
>there's another rookie there to help show she's getting special treatment and this isn't just how things work in general
She's as much a mary sue as it's possible to get.
The very last series I dropped is this. Couldn't help it, but it wasn't just the MC for me.
Flat cardboard characters and a poorly done visual style, which is just reused visual gags from Hidamari without clue with some awkward CGI thrown in.
It's obvious that it was just hastily thrown together around a single gimmick.
>She's as much a mary sue as it's possible to get.
Actually, you're forgetting
>have ultra rare (or at least declared to be so) mecha magic
>awaken fireball magic out of nowhere in ep 3
>awaken sand magic out of nowhere in ep 4
>is hinted to have more magic to awaken
>still dress like a autistic in a legal court and while working
In fairness that last one does seem to be typical.
>flat cardboard characters
That's what they call 2D
>poorly-done visual style
See pic related
>reused visual gags from Hidamari
And every other moe comedy
You try drawing a half hour at 25fps of original material every week.
oh my dick, i completely forgot how shit they looked in the very benigging.
Boring season, boring shows. I'll stick to my movies.
Why is every anime so lighthearted or childish? Why most shows are partially comedies? Where is drama? It's really hard to empathize with characters when nothing of importance happens.
>Kill la Kill
>most things you fags make threads about
I'll finish Toradora today
Nourin. Watched the first 2 episodes, and while they weren't especially bad, I just have no desire whatever to continue.
And yet I'm somehow still watching Mahou Sensou. Makes no sense.
This happens to all of us /a/non. Just get hype on what /a/s watching without spoilering yourself and watch what you can when you can manage it. I usually watch an episode over an hour, pausing to do shit on my computer.
I agree, I'm not some edgy faggot who only watches "serious" and "2deep" shows, I watch a lot of comedy/SoL stuff but I'd like to have something serious and good for a change. I'm watching 10 shows this season, and the only ones that aren't comedy are Log Horizon and Wizard Barristers. Log Horizon is still pretty much lighthearted and the plot isn't great at all, and Barristers is pretty boring so far
>Where is drama?
What is Nagi no Asukara.
(Endure the first 8 or so episodes: after those, which set up setting and character, things becomes a endless suffering train hitting you full force)
WUG. Why's everyone forgotten WUG?
I can't be the only who thought date a live was a abortion
Imouto no Yousu
I don't like idols shows
I really want to drop Golden Time, but I'm 16 episodes in so there's no point.
