so i've watched and loved every miyazaki out there - is there any other anime that'd tug the same strings?

Tokyo Godfathers
Kappa no Coo to Natsuyasumi - I actually haven't seen this yet but after reading about it and seeing the trailer it seems to have the same vibe. I don't think it's subbed yet but it definitely needs to be

That's pretty cute, sort of like a sitcom. It's also an interesting watercolor style that I think may be similar to what Miyazaki is doing with Gaku no Ue no Ponyo.

But if you really want to see some of his best wach Only Yesterday and Grave of the Fireflies.

Also, Whisper of the Heart is another excellent Ghibli film.
