How did you guys feel about this? I personally didn't like the female lead
>not watching for the johnnies
had potential in the first season but the movies gave it a shit ending.
Are the movies really that bad?
I've been meaning to watch them but I'm afraid it'll ruin the series for me.
yeah they're pretty shit, but it won't kill you to watch 'em
tv show was good
haven't watched the movies but i bet they suck ass
I just felt so unfilled with the ending the movies gave. I didn't ruin the series for me, it just made what could have been a great series into a middle of the road one. They had such a neat concept that they could never really capitalize on.
Got off to a really strong start - incredibly strong, as a matter of fact, and then somewhere around episode 7 it dropped the ball to a degree that I have literally never seen before, and from there it just gets progressively more retarded until it finally sputters out to a slow, pathetic death with the godawful bullshit movies.
Kenji Kamiyama = hack confirmed, GitS: SAC was a fluke that got by on strong source material and the supervision of better minds (Shirow + Oshii).
Yes they are, although the TV ending was already plenty bad on its own.
Osugi is one of the worst characters in anime in my opinion. Mostly cause I knew a friend like him in college and god damn is it annoying.
I actually thought they were going to do something interesting with him for the brief arc where they made it look like his frustration with the heroine not returning his affections had led to him giving in to a prostitute's solicitation and consequently getting entrapped by the castrating serial killer. Then the writers wussed out of that scenario with the dumbest, cheapest copout imaginable and I knew the series was only going to go downhill from there.
such a stupid show
Why does he keep getting his memory wiped? It doesn't improve or advance the story any. It barely plays a role at all.
The first few episodes got me hooked in no time.
But then it turned out like it did. I was barely understanding why was shit going down the way it did.
And then the movies. God damn those were bad.
The OP and ED were fucking godly, though.
I watched them and didn't see the problem.
Everyone seems to hate the movies but honestly I've never heard a proper explanation why.
The characters were somewhat likable.
The "complex mystery" was idiotic bullshit
The movies ruined anything good it had
5/10 so very, very average
That almost sounds like Kyousougiga.
