Have you eaten anything that was in an anime you've watched?
Nothing else is implied in this image
I tried this and it tastes like shit.
I've had hamburgers and french fries.
Natto and Pocky.
I have lots of food for /a/ to try!
takoyaki isn't delicious
Whipped cream on rice.
I saw that mayonnaise gif without watching the actual show. I thought it was whipped cream
Adding Butter to Ramen
It was okay. It certainly made the dish even richer than it usually is.
How the fuck does eggs and rice taste like shit? It wasn't great but it wasn't bad.
I tried mayonnaise on rice after vividred and actually liked it. Japanese and American mayonnaise.
Dango, Ramen, Udon, Sapporo, Asahi.
Melon Bread is next on my list...
Had Pizza Hut last night, was 7/10
I once put Ketchup on an omelette.
It was okay
Never had Kirin Ichiban? I recommend it. I still need to try Yebisu though.
>plebi/a/ns ITT will go to their respective stores and try "anime food"
>they'll likely pick out a shitty product packaged in China or Korea
>"ugh this tastes bad"
>post about it on /a/
>they'll never have the really good stuff
Kirin really is Ichiban.
Added to my list ;3
One time my sister had strawberry Pocky.
I was confused because she's not into anime at all.
I guess one of her friends gave it to her or something.
Made myself Omlet Rice after seeing it appear in numerous anime.
Was really fucking tasty.
Everyone loves Pocky these days
Glad you found the right balance between ketchup and rice.
Asahi where I live is either brewed in Thailand or China under license...
I saw those checkerboard cookies in Log Horizon, so I asked my mom to try and make some. Damn those cookies are great.
Cup Ramen, known as Cup Noodle in this dimension.
McDonalds... actually, no, I've never seen McDonalds in an anime. I've seen EcDonalds, 3cDonalds, McRonalds, WcDonalds, but never the real thing so far.
Kirin is great.
Expensive around NY though.
Once I get some money, that's my next purchase.
I've only tried a handful of other jap beers, but I think that it's my favorite kind of beer in that style.
I don't really get why people don't like it.
I've got to try it again.
I've got an asian market near where I go to school, and was thinking I could start cooking.
I'm not terrible at cooking.
Anybody have some idea of a good dish to start with?
Melon pan is fucking amazing.
Guess the show.
You simply don't like the taste of eggs because that is literally what it is.
Melonpan. made it myself turned out rather good.
Also tried many random Japanese things that a friend got after returning from Japan.
Just really Pocky, Curry (though I had this long before I was watching anime) and Cup Noodle.
Pocky is delicious but it's kind of expensive, but you get a lot too so it evens out.
Cup Noodle is pretty unhealthy but it's a nice snack.
Meh, not a problem in my opinion.
It's not like there's anything too special about the beer that warrants you get the genuine article.
Two basic reasons that I live with my family and don't want to be caught making Omurice or some shit in the kitchen. Also I'm a lazy cook so instead of having to experiment I like an exact recipe+instructions. I'm really good at following a set of detailed instructions.
This shit is disgusting
>1.6 UK units
Isn't it only like 5%?
Makes it sound stronger than it is
And Ichiban in Australia is brewed under licence too
Not that good either
Fucking Sunred always makes me hungry.
Been watching a lot of Gundam?
Taiyaki - meh
Takoyaki - liked it
Ringo ame - loved it
Dorayaki - liked it
Pocky - liked it (probably the only "anime snack" that I already liked long before I'm into anime, in fact I was slightly surprised that it's such a common snack in anime)
Japanese mayo is pretty different from Murrican ones. Less fatty and more… fresh, I guess? Hard to describe.
>Two basic reasons that I live with my family and don't want to be caught making Omurice or some shit in the kitchen.
Why is this a problem? Does your old man like taking the mickey?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that /a/ has such good taste. It's a shame that my local liquor store didn't have any in stock the last time I was there.
They probably won't know what kind of food you're making anyway.
and a lot of different breads
I usually just google the food go buy the ingredients at the japanese grocery by me and make it I even bought a takoyaki pan and an electric griddle for the okonomiyaki.
it helps that I've been frequenting /ck/
Why the fuck would your family care if they see you making omelet with fucking rice? Are they allergic to eggs and rice? Are you afraid they'd disown you?
>I want detailed instructions
What is Cookpad and Yahoo Japan
Holy shit anon, clean your room.
Aside from half assingly making stuff at home like omurice or eating common Japanese stuff that everyone eats(sushi, ramen), not much.
Takoyaki at a low grade sushi restaurant. It was good, creamy I guess?
>don't want to be caught making Omurice or some shit in the kitchen
Are you underage or something so they won't allow you in the kitchen?
If anything the first time I cooked something myself my family were really proud.
My parents are elevens so the shit you see in the generic bento at every anime was regular stuff in my meals. We also make a lot of temaki and nabe because it was easy to make.
Pocky and japanese sweets in general are shit IMO, they look good but the taste is too weak. Nip food may be healthier but western stuff is way tastier and has more variety to be eaten on a regular basis.
It's a clear case of powerlevel suppression overcompensation. After years of hiding it, the anon has completely lost perspective on what is and isn't common societal knowledge. Anything that could possibly be linked to Japan is therefore tainted, regardless of how revealing it would actually be.
I made riceballs once. It was pretty damn good,
i've had plenty of donuts and hamburgers
Mamedaifuku from Masugata shotengai (that Usagiyama shotengai in Tamako Market was modeled after).
Enjoyed it a lot.
I have a imported jap pepsi in the fridge that I'll be able to legally have sex with in 10 years.
What the fuck did you eat?
>they look good but the taste is too weak
Your tongue is used to the maximum sugar overloads from those Snicker bars, or you haven't tried the better snacks. Pocky is low-tier, try Meiji chocs and maccha candies next time.
Fucking. Melon. Bread.
I've been wanting to try some legitimate ramen.
The only place that has a legit ramen joint is in the city.
I love mochi ice-cream. Mochi in general, really
but it doesn't even taste like melon!
I'm too tsun and embarrassed.
Jesus no, I'm 20. I've cooked entire meals myself. I'm just tsun and embarrassed, I'll probably start when I move out.
Will look into thanks
Just make it for breakfast one day.
Say it's a french thing.
I had sushi a million times, obviously not because of animu. Tried mochi once, it was rather underwhelming. I was expecting something more savory than sweet.
Doesn't stop it from being delicious.
Steins;Gate gave me a serous Dr. Pepper craving.
That's the farthest I've even gone, which isn't far considering my mom's an addict so there was a ready supply in the house.
After seeing this episode of Hidamari, I had to try and make these.
It was pretty good. Ate them with my friends.
>Tried mochi once
I should mention, at my own risk, that this was inspired by Tamako Market.
You got a daifuku, mate.
Get some plain mochi, wrap it with nori and dip them in soy sauce. Or mix it with natto. Or put 'em in pork stew.
The inside of the takoyaki ball, I mean. Is it not supposed to be like that?
I love japanese food.
Eastern food in general.
I want to start making this stuff on my own.
Thank god for a nice asian market store near me.
I tried making a beef bowl a couple of times. Needed more beef.
you fuckers are making me hungry
If it didn't come from a cow, I'd be all over it.
Beware with Chinese products though. Never hurts to be cautious bordering on paranoia, and sometimes you dodge really narrow bullets.
I remember getting a yellow takuan and finding out it had some weird saccharine shit that made my tongue feel all tingly. Checked the label and it was from China. Never fails.
its the most subpar shit ever
its not crispy or crunchy
its a pancake and chewy octopus
biggest dissappointment ever
I love octopus but this is meh
not awful or even bad
just not like my anime
Ew, no. You probably ate an undercooked one.
Duly noted. And thanks for the tip, I suppose that was my mistake.
I grew up in a Japanese family so yes, I have. I usually have eaten it long before I saw it in a show though.
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
Do you not drink milk or eat cheese then?
Creamy? Fuck no. It's basically octopus wrapped in a pancake-thing like >>101429179 said.
I think that's vegans, vegetarians just don't eat meat
I came hear to tell you that your taste is god tier
Not really, but what is Goku eating? Ribs? if so then yes, if not then I wish I could eat it because whatever Goku eats looks delicious as fuck.
I was referring to the fact that he doesn't eat stuff from cows
I've tasted plenty of cocks before OP
In a way, I guess it's kind of inconsistent of me, but I do consume dairy products.
It's all for the moral reasons really.
I'm not so sure if it matters anymore.
It's kind of hypocritical of me I think.
Okonomiyaki because of Ranma.
It was fucking disgusting.
I never eat sweets on a regular basis (parents wouldn't buy and i'm too much of a jew to spend money on them now) and i'm not american. I don't think i had a sugar overload considering i had dinners where i would eat rice with horenso.
I mentioned pocky because that's the most famous one, i have in fact eaten a shit load of them, the ones you mentioned included.
In japan, they care too much for the looks of the food regardless of the taste, as long as it looks beautifull and isn't strong enough to be called bad by some people it will sell.
Ozoni mochi is the perfect example of this, i eat it every news year with my family and we make our mochi. It is literally a rice cake in a soup, The mochi inside taste like unseasoned cooked rice (and i like unseasoned rice a lot), not many people will think it is bad and if you make it look good they will eat a lot of it even if the taste is very bland.
I've never had ramen. Like, the sauce, with the rice, not the noodles.
What kind did you eat? Well done seafood okonomiyaki is amazing
Bought these after Clannad... Then I marathoned After Story... Best comfort food/I ate a dango family
I don't fucking know.
I've been eating Japanese food for most of my life, but the one thing I hadn't had before I saw it in anime was croquettes, strangely.
He probably had this experience >>101427777
There are many variations where they include fillers and make it creamy on the inside.
If the place wasn't sketchy, no worries.
I tried miso soup after seeing it so often in anime. It's pretty good.
Sushi in general is actually my favorite type of food.
The fact that I like it has nothing to do with anime, though.
I eat a ton of eastern food, including Japanese, but mostly Korean.
It's very good
I don't know what these are called but I eat them.
I want to try cooking karaage sometime
I like udon, miso soup, some types of sushi and tonkotsu-style ramen. Also gyoza but that's an Asian thing in general. Not really a fan of Japanese sweets though.
He actually said in his post what they were called.
Fuck Korea, but they have some good food I'll give them that. If only kimchi's smell wasn't so overpowering.
I don't think it's ribs, anon - he wouldn't want to offend that pig next to him
I actually like milder tasting candies so thats a bonus point in my book...lychee candy is some of my favorite
I tried alot of japanese/asian food stuff because I am a fatass weeaboo and love food/booze.
Its not supposed to. They call it that because the stripes on it look like a melon.
What? Fresh takoyaki is supposed to be hot and creamy, it's great.
Where the hell did you guys try it? I think you guys are the ones who got subpar takoyaki.
>Best comfort food/
>I ate a dango family
The regular nip food is rice, fish/some sausage, and one of a selection of veggies from that part of the world. Some times only rice and veggies.
Fat filled food, fried stuff and shit that will make you put weight on are either chinese or high end stuff they don't really eat there (unless you only eat fried noodles)
tempura isn't really high end
This is the most uninformed post I've ever read.
I've made some stuff from Cooking with Dog, it's alright.
takoyaki is pretty fattening actually
I've eaten pussy before. Does that count, /a/?
Tempura can't be eaten cold as it will soften and the oil most likely be absorbed by whatever stuff they put on the sides. Since most nips don't have lunch at home tempura is not as common as people think.
I agree with you tough, it isn't high end.
I will change it to "can't be put on a container and eaten hours later without getting bad".
>brags about it on a anime and manga board
You've watched too much anime. Not every Japanese cooks traditional Japanese meals every fucking day, just like how not all Americans eat egg, bacon, and toast for breakfast everyday.
WHAT HAVE I DONEEEE!!!
Personal experience, /a/spie.
I don't know if I've seen it in anime but holy shit Unagi-don is fucking amazing, so is Oyako-don and I ate something which I don't remember the name of but it was salmon in a hot "pot" which was sizzling/frying with lots of salmon roe (I believe) and I think it was some nori on top as well, hooooly shit it's one of the best dishes I've ever had. Does anyone know what it's called?
Well I like canned eel alot, but you are right what I do eat tends to be more on the junk food end. Red Bean and green tea icecream, meiji chocolate and plum wine.
Truth be told I eat other kinds of asian foods more such as prawn chips, coconut cookies, and lychee tea (god damn I love lychee).
I try to avoid going to the asian market that is super close to my house because I feel like a fatass gaijen, so it has the added bonus of me not become a fullblown land whale.
One of the few things I've had was miso soup
Chink please leave.
i used to make soba-pan all the time when i was a kid. i didn't know it was actually a thing until i saw it on my chinese girl cartoons
so today i was eating ice cream while watching sakura trick and this happened.
did you remember to feed your anime girl today /a/?
No, they don't. They buy pre-made stuff from stores mostly or cook a batch of shit and put it on the freezer.
The high ammount of veggies and fish isn't because it is "traditional japanese", it is because it is cheap compared to meat and shit they have to bring from abroad.
Try going there and see how expensive fruits like bananas that grow everywhere in jungle asia are.
You fucked up.
looks like a roast to me, judging from the lines from some that I've seen wrapped. If not well fuck if I know, looks good though.
If you go full nip you would slim down. Buy the cheapest fountains of protein/vitamins/minerals (that are not junk food) with rice and eat it every meal. It will most likely be a fish/vegetable that you will need to learn to make in different ways to not get bored of it.
I find canned eel disgusting as i made an association of uni sushi some time ago and never got it out of my head since them. (uni is shit by the way, don't eat that)
>I feel like a fatass gaijen
Funny, because every asian-like person who is born outside of japan is considered a filthy gaijin by the elevens as well
Sushi (awesome), rice balls (meh), mochi (it's alright, but a bit too sweet), pocky, squid jerky (apparently most people don't care for it, it wasn't bad), tamago (delicious), and chocolate coronet.
tamago is literally egg in japanese
So /a/, I honestly want to know what a decent start for Japanese/Asian food to make or buy would be good to have and from your local asian market? I'm asking you guys and not some weird ass guides from Yahoo or wherever. You seem to know what's good and bad.
Tried some of this since a market near my house was filled to the brim with nothing but that. Not enough laisin. I was very let down.
Onigiri is pretty easy
Nigga, I just made some sata angagi. Fucking delicious shit, mang. Gonna have some for my waifu on Valentine's Day.
Whoops, forgot what I had already. From what I remember I've had Pocky and Yan-yan, Something called Ramune.
People may call me a faggot but if you want to try making stuff this channel usually shows some easy stuff to make. Pick one that seems easy enough and start from there
I recently ate some jelly doughnuts
I've tried them too. Man, jelly donuts in japan are weird as shit.
Oh wow this looks cool, thanks! I'll give it a try sometime later this week.
Depends, what you are in the mood for and what state you live in or city because different states and different cities have different types of Asian nationalities living in them.
For example, Rowland Heights in California has the highest concentration of Taiwanese people in SoCal so the area there is of course filled with Taiwanese restaurants and supermarkets.
In Australia it's 1.3 (It's also 5%)
Canned eel is awesome.
I always add canned eel and chili bamboo sticks to my rice porridge.
Hanasaku Iroha made me try balut. It was delicious.
St. Louis, from what Google has told me, mostly Vietnamese. And really anything. Open to soups and rice dishes.
Yeah I love rice and sushi. Besides I haven't found a good Japanese restaurant that gives me access to more of their qusine
Literally the mexicans of asia
Quick question, I have a farm. We raise our cattle feed, everything ourselfs and let them live in at least 30 acres at a time like 30x the legal limit. We move them shortly after they devour the field. We put them in after harvesting as they clear the leftovers. Which is like candy to a cow. We also feed them a mix of blended ourselfs food for them as well which we give 3x a week if they are in a field that is full. We take care of them so much better. Now after they are of age we take them to a sluaghterhouse when they are old and they put the cows down in one of the most non messed up ways possible. Would you eat our I guess meat?
Dango mochi, that's what I was talking about in: >>101431801.
Well aware, but you haven't lived until you've had a good quail egg sweet omlette.
>not the Philippines
I've always wanted to try yakisoba-pan
I thought those were the filipinos.
That would be the Philipinos. Still butthurt over the vietnam war, amerifat?
Not sure if it counts but I once ate an umeboshi candy, and it was fucking disgusting.
What's stopping you from trying it?
Strength (ABV) x Volume (ml) divided by 1000 = No. of units.
5.0*330/1000=1.65 .... wait FUCK
too lazy to go out and find a store to buy it because I probably can't make it properly
Does your farm attempt to sell their own version of "Kobe beef" considering America barely allows Japanese beef imports and they refuse to acknowledge Japan's "Kobe" trademark so pretty much anyone can say their beef is "kobe beef"?
and rice; that is, if you are using worthwhile rice.
One unit of alcohol is defined as 10 millilitres (7.9 grams) in the United Kingdom, and as 12.7 millilitres (10 grams) in Australia.
Don't know how to respond to that, I'll try the Youtube link >>101432255 Gave me.
Considering where I work, I've probably eaten most.
What's the weirdest thing you've had?
I pretty much tried everything I've seen in animay when I was in Japan last month.
What's the BEST thing you've had?
It's impossible to fuck up, dude.
1.) Buy instant yakisoba
2.) Buy hotdog buns
3.) Cook instant yakisoba
4.) Put cooked yakisoba in hotdog bun
optional: Add garnish of choice
Enjoy your carbs on carbs.
Sadly, I am not rich so I can't eat it everyday.
I love these kinds of stores.
There is so many of them in the West Coast, Murrica.
japanese food a shit
mediterranean and middle eastern food a best
Omurice is some tasty shit.
I eat pretty much everything I see in anime with the exception of festival/street food like takoyaki.
>middle eastern food
I, too, love eating sand. Oh, and shawarma.
I had some Moichi. It was terrible.
>leftovers with eggs and ketchup
Still pretty tasty
I second Cooking with Dog. It's good if you are just starting out and exploring.
Shame America never carries weirder Asian chip flavors like yogurt.
Also, why do Canadians get Ketchup chips while Americans don't?
I like that one section in those stores where they have the Yan Yan/Pocky/Panda cookie shit.
no, the meatlocker ussually only has people to come in buy meat and people who put down on cows comming in who want a large quanity of beef products. I eat so much really good steak and beef its unreal. Have you ever heard of someone able to have a steak all 3 meals for almost half the year. Granted more than 1 person lives in my household so we make sure it lasts a year. With Chicken and pork being special since we dont farm our chickens and dont raise pigs often.
shawarma a shit
it's the mcdonalds of middle eastern food
I tought kebabs were the mcdonalds of the sand niggers
>tfw eating disorder
Mochi's okay. [actual Japanese] Ramen is awesome. Melon bread is fucking amazing. Gyuudon's great (And hella cheap at Yoshinoya.)
That's pretty much all I've had that I've seen in anime. I had a lot of Amerifat food in Japan because I suck. Japanese Outback Steakhouse is great. McDonalds is surprisingly delicious too, somehow.
Whats your eating disorder?
I made omurice and it was okay.
I can't eat more than 600~700 cals a day.
Half of it is just laziness and forgetting to eat, and the other half is the fear of getting fat. I used to be really fat but lost a shit-ton of weight and I don't want to go back.
yeah I think they are
thats not an eating disorder thats just you being scared of being fat
>600 cal a day
Are you anorexic? Because i can't picture anyone surviving with this unless you are a midget who sleeps all day
>omurice with sriracha instead of ketchup
Delicious. Ketchup a shit.
We have Ketchup chips.
Herr's makes em, my girlfriend's British uncle swears by em, so every time I go to the local deli and the get a shipment, I buy some for him...with a shipping and handling charge added for my trouble of course.
I still don't get the hate for this. It tastes fine. In fact it's damn good. The raisins aren't bad either, makes for some chewy contrast.
I'm 6'2" and like 140 and I live off 1500 a day.
im sad to say this, but naruto got me into ramen, then ramen onto other Japanese food
I wish I lived near a good Asian market. I'd just love to drop in and get couple of good beer snacks.
Anybody have this wallpaper?
>not living near any shop that sells Shrimp Flavored Chips
I feel so sorry for you
>tfw grew up in Kanagawa Prefecture and ate this stuff
>move to murrica
>jack shit level of good food except in asian areas and it's mostly chinese faggot dog crap
Ramen and Pocky.
Yeees (my laptop)
I'm Korean so I eat a lot of Asian food anyways. I haven't had more traditional Japanese meals (like ozoni) but stuff like okayu, croquette, oyako-don, omurice, Pocky, mochi, some other Japanese snacks (mostly Meiji stuff like Yan Yan, Hello Panda, etc.), udon, ramen, sushi, karaage, sashimi, musubi, takoyaki, etc. Omurice is the shit, though.
I like miso soup
I'll try ramen one day
I guess you should move back to Japan.
this kill the laptop
Asahi Super Dry
Lived in Japan for almost a year now and I can honestly say that I have yet to have a single dish that wasn't delicious.
natto and rice is the best combination.
Are the big cans any good?
They are called slightly different to the bottled ones over here.
what are you living for there anon?
In the military nigga.
>dying for israel
but seriously what do you do in the military? How'd you get the job and what do you do if you don't mind me asking.
I had so much of this that i now feel like vomiting from the smell alone
>Not living in Vancouver and eating the best Asian food the west has to offer
>This is why I'm getting out
I'm stationed in Iwakuni Japan in the Marine Corps and I work on computers and other communication equipment.
Your taste is absolutely disgusting
>living in vancouver
forever boring ottawa mustard race
Aw yeah nigga best coast represent.
Closed the store.
A bunch of leftover bento today.
No brawls for 20% off I guess.
>Used to live in seattle and visited vancouver a lot as a kid
>really enjoyed that salmon
>moved all the way to east coast
Fucking miss the rain, pollen allergies are shit
Ramen noodles don't count, since I've eaten them since before I got into anime.
I tried Mapou Tofu once, but it was way too spicy for me to handle.
I also drink a shitload of tea, although that might not count.
How does this natto tastes like? Is it any different from peas and beans?
>20% off raw fish
You mean stuff that is old aready. That being said I would devour those lean tuna cuts. Not a fan of the salmon or fatty parts of tuna tough.
How much do you guys charge for the second on the botton from right to left?
I made curry, I was shocked at how big of a deal oily beef stew is over there.
Fermented soy beans.
Comes with mustard and soy sauce packets, although you can eat it plain.
Its an acquired taste, although I personally like it.
I grew up in Hong Kong which is a city full of weeaboos, so I had a lot of decent japanese food to eat.
I've since then moved to the US, and can't find decent US food here for shit.
tried Croquets because of KLK
rice and egg because of GnS
rice was meh, not used to eating raw eggs so it was a little raunchy
croquets are fried meat and potatoes, hard to dislike
europeans it this too
takoyaki is quite disgusting
fried pastry dough with hot mayonaise and a cube of octopus meat
i thought it was a straight up ball of octopus meat with salty savory sauce that was grilled
If you can even cook a little bit or live in a city with large ethnic populations you can find almost any food from anime.
I've eatin almost every single food from any anime I can think of except Nato which I refuse to eat.
I live in Melbourne, AU. The amount of asian food here is unbelievable.
Really good, especially over rice
The taste and gravy for it is great but why would the Japanese want such soft meat?
Pretty much most of the typical food/snacks that's been shown in anime. It's pretty easy to find since I live in an Asian neighborhood with a J-Town nearby.
That shit's delicious if you put a pinch of salt before you eat it. Putting chili vinegar in balut is also pretty savory.
I've eaten chips before. Can't exactly say I enjoyed it though
Yes, Octopus is supposed to be a little chewy, but if it's like an eraser, the asshat that made it either freezer-burned the octopus, used pickled octopus, or cooked all the moisture out of it. It sounds like you got sub-par tako from someone that doesn't know how to make it.
But I eat dicks
Never had ramen or udon though
guys how do i into japanese cooking
A bunch of stuff, especially since I cook. But the one I got into the most solely from an anime piquing my interest is Mapo Tofu. So good doesn't even need rice.
There are good Takoyaki and there are bad Takoyaki. Try getting one from a nice restaurant and youll see what the hype is all about. Personally I love takoyi, its not just octopus as well sometimes you can get shrimp and other things in them
>Tasted like shit. Had like 4 different types in flavors I normally have in other food
>Good stuff, but not as good as anime made it out to be. Like saltine crackers in pastry form.
>It's practically american culture in this day and age, too
I've never touched sushi. It's on the list, but I don't think I can handle raw fish. Any easy to make stuff I could do at home? I think I saw one that was just egg and rice, and that looked fucking awesome, but I don't want to make it wrong.
I've been in Japan for 3 months now, I've had pretty much every food from my Chinese cartoons
They were nice, but not as oishii as I had been lead to believe
Have trouble find Senbei anywhere. Anyone know where you can order any good ones (to Europe)?
that must be aweful. You're going to have senbei powder by the time it arrives.
it's really good
>Cup Ramen, known as Cup Noodle in this dimension.
It's weird how even in Japan, most stores have カップヌードル, while anime claim otherwise.
internet is hard sometimes
It's just fucking noodles, but that's about as Japanese as it gets in this hicksville. I'd wanna try takoyaki and stuff, but I'd have to make it all myself.
Takoyaki, Pocky, McDonald's, Okonomiyaki, Donburi, Ramen, Tonkatsu, Yakiniku, Sushi, Maki, Spring rolls, Crepe.
I've had ramen.
Cheese sauce goes well with potatoes.
Yang Wenli's tea and brandy
Doesn't justify it.
It's fucking disgusting, they even eat it on ice cream.
Japs are weird.
>they even eat it on ice cream
Haah? Are you really sure about this?
I've had Pocky. It was pretty good.
Katsu, ramen and sweet dryed potatos
A sushi place down town here sells canned coffee that looks straight out of a vending machine.
Sometimes if it's hot and i'm close i'll go there just for that shit.
there's an Asian grocery by where I live. sometimes I get canned coffee and pork buns there for lunch but they also have the cheapest produce in town, which is really nice, and weird.
30% of the population in my city is Japanese or related to Japan. Animu food is normal here. But I think I have pleb taste for it my favorite foods are Udon and Onigiri.
Also this thing here. I don't think they are actually from japan but every japanese store has them. They are delicious
I constantly see them eat this crap.
What the hell does Dango taste like?
I have tried a lot of things, but this sweet potato rice has become a regular dish for me since it is so easy to make. I have also made some baked goods and crepes, but traditional Asian stuff is nearly impossible to make since I have no Asian grocery store to get ingredients from.
Mochi is honestly probably my favorite food in the whole world
also fried tofu (Inarizushi especially) and tempura
I will eat any kind of tempura
I eat a variation of this for breakfast often.
I fry my egg( sunny side up) and the rice isn't plain white, it's rice that has adobo seasoning and chopped onions sometimes green peppers.
Pocky, Anpan, Taiyaki.
Still on the search for melonpan and dango.
Also forgot to mention: mochi. I even eat mochi ice cream, which seems to be pretty popular these days.
i really like it, but it was not japanese to begin with so i am not sure if it counts.
also does anybody know how to make a animu curry?
Has there ever been Beef Wellington in an anime?
Tried various flavors of Pocky but it wasn't that special.
Where can I buy dango and melonpan in Flipland? I can't find it anywhere.
Rum Raisin Ice Cream
it was okay
Checked out what kind of Japanese beer the Swedish alcohol monopoly can offer and they can offer pretty much all of the ones mentioned no more expensive than other brands. Too bad I have to order a crate since only a select few stores have them in store.
I want to make Nagisa's head out of chocolate and eat it. It looks like a strawberry.
Had this on my visit to the UK.
Shit was tasty.
Too bad there's hardy any place where I live that serve this stuff.
Damn, that looks delicious.
I tried sushis but it was frozen stuff so it didn't taste very good. Also got japanese snacks a small company sent when I ordered artbooks from them.
I don't like seafood anyway so I'll stick with my country's food.
French cuisine master race.
Aw shit son is that some wagamamas?
Because that place is god like and weeb free.
Are they only in the UK?
Didn't Haiyore Nyaruka have the real thing?
I like the taste, but around here eggs aren't really safe to eat so I don't risk it. If it tastes bad try adding more salt or soy sauce (or worchester, if you don't like soy).
Pocky, saw it at the supermarket here and liked it
Nah, the place is called Shoryu Ramen and according to their website they only got 2 places in London.
Oh man, curry is just something that makes my mouth water for some reason and I've never tried it.
It just looks so good.
Had this stuff in a sushi place, and it was pretty delicious.
Japanese curry is surprisingly delicious.
If you get the chance, I really recommend it.
I had ramen once in a restaurant, felt like a pleb afterwards since it wasn't anything like my chinese cartoons.
Someone should put a stop to all this false advertising in anime.
I went to Japan last year and tried pretty much everything. Omurice is not really good, and Nabe is awful. Okonomiyaki and takoyaki (thanks based Osaka) are the best.
Manju and Dango are not bad, but sure they are not delicious. also sweets are not really sweets
Alright, will do
>watching anime on youtube
Holy shit I can see the pixels here.
vancouver a shit.
Hong kong is best for asian culinary diversity, only problem is influx of indians and mudslimes
I don't think I saw it in anime, but Hi-Chew. Very tasty, and I got a whole bunch of my friends addicted to it as well.
Holo got me to eat more fruits.
