How the hell did they manage to build a full steel ship?
Also dat Man with a mission insert
>not using pic related for thread pic
even captcha calls you a fattyp lemur, OP
So when are the engineers going to make a perpetual motion engine? Their world doesn't obey conservation of energy.
simple, you can make many things using the crafting menu. plus you are strong enough to bend steel in your bare hands and have magic.
I still don't get the thrumphet and the armonic
sorry I hadnt saved it before the thread died.
>Guys, we need lots of strong steel for the hull, how can we do this fast?
>...Get Blacksmiths to mass produce large shield and hammer them flat?
>never going to be drawn without QUALITY
I want Nazuna to use me as a chair.
if they already have functioning ships, does this mean that by the end of the series akihabara will look like Tron?
some anon requested this
It's still a ship that runs off Salamanders powering the steam engine though, it'd still take a while to get up the tech tree even with magic.
If they try hard enough. Hell ships are easy wait till they try for planes.
What exactly are they trying to remove there
Isn't it hilarious that the People of the Land wanted to subjugate them as 'nobles' beforehand and now they don't have any trump cards up their sleeve?
When the powerlevels of two peoples is vastly different, some kind of subjugation or abuse of the weaker party is inevitable. At least the Landers still have natural resources and women to bang which has proven more than enough for conquerors of times past. They don't have the moral high ground to complain about being treated like shit by the adventurer 'race' either. Sure Alv fanboys would agree.
Tl;dr: When are the 'Freedom Cities' of Eastal going to become the Vassal Cities of Akihabara?
>If Mamare came back to 4chan tomorrow for another Q&A, what would you ask him?
is he ever coming back?
The expectation is that Mamare won't be able to answer all the questions, and he'll choose which ones to respond to. That's why we're doing it individually; so that other anons not part of the generals can get their questions in.
Because no anon has volunteered to send a question to his Twitter.
The fuck Is the point of that?
Is It supposed to be related to the kebab song?
Pretty standard burden reduction magic and crazy-power/weight ratio magic has the potential to shit all over aerodynamics in their world. Don't see planes being too hard for them.
Pastebin updated with last thread questions.
His face should be redrawn to look like the original guys
So how many more EXPOSITION episodes are they gonna spend on before we get so some action and actual character development?
Burden reduction and magic items with insane power to weight ratios are pretty standard fair in MMOs. Don't see how planes can be that hard for them. I can see them shitting all over aerodynamic requirements in that world.
I didn't understand this video. Was it something about Serbians?
Let's say I'm living in the database and I usually leave my wallet on the table next to my bed when I'm in my room. One day Akatsuki comes over to discuss ninja plans. What are my chances of seeing my wallet again?
Oh man that looks amazing.
>actual character development?
Sorry, anime has been skimping over those since the first episode, you're not gonna have much luck here.
5 minutes of action in next episode and 5 episodes of not-school festival.
>The PKers from episode 2 are now employed, productive members of society
Shiro can do no wrong.
Except being a tyrant. Reminder that Akiba actually is a police state with Shiroe controlling everything.
You have a gryphon? Cool cool.
I have an f-16 but hey a gryphons nice too.
And then season ends with 5 mins of cocktease. Well, as much cocktease as possible for NHKe
I WILL FIGHT YOU
Soujirou just knows what his tastes are. It's not like Naotsugu who loves all panties, he has taste and goes straight for the lace.
But Shiro said they're free. Why would he do that, go on a stage and tell lies?
Not a bad dictator so far. But if the powerful guilds can just easily fight their way to another place to access the guild hall and their assets their, then he really didn't do anything that bad.
Exactly. Akiba has the appearances of a free state but in fact the people only have very basic human rights guaranteed to them and otherwise the round table can do pretty much whatever they please.
How about some food?
At least he doesn't own the cathedral.
What about spaceships?
Can they fly back to Earth if they knew where they are?
Did someone say CURRY?!
The larger guilds don't actually need the guild hall, unless you're talking about the guild building. The larger guilds have their 'castles' and 'towers' inside the city itself, not in some instance within the Guild building.
So this is all Akatsuki's good for, huh?
>onigiri winning food
only in japan does bland rice wrapped in a piece of seaweed win anything
There are 4 secret police agencies keeping tabs on everyone and each other without knowing either of them exist. This isn't a police state. It's a fucking Truman Show state.
Your assuming they're even in the same universe.
You should read book 6 after the animu ends, so you can read Akatsuki suffering about how she's basically useless out of combat and spying.
An F-16 would probably suck balls for superhuman adventurers with magic if they got down to it for a while.
Limited range and payload. Limited design - robotic dragon or flying sailing ship cooler. FBW and airframes also limited by inferior normal human reflexes and G-tolerance.
There's nothing like the taste of home.
>and 5 episodes of not-school festival.
Wait, what? They're in the middle of a Goblin siege. Who the fuck has time for a haunted house and hoping senpai will notice them?
DDR. Every family has an informer.
>Dolce's reaction is lol
Who is Dolce?
Which is irrelevent. The bank in located in the Guild Hall. The bigger guilds may have their own places but the still need to return to the Hall to use the bank.
damnit that's the wrong fucking pic how did i even
fucking index ruins everything even shit not related to her
The festival is some time after the goblins.
I haven't read the LN, but unless he's preventing people from leaving I don't see how he's imposing on freedoms. besides, a benevolent dictatorship is the most efficient form of government.
So really, Shiro didn't do something that nasty. It's not like he killed, tortured and/or poisoned millions of them into submission under a paranoid, fear-mongering regime. He's not a bad dictator so far when looking back on our own human history. Really.
MAGIC! It could teleport if it wanted too. I'm seeing summoner as being abused as fuck in the new world.
But the necromancers apparently all had nervous breakdowns and are afraid of their summons and skeletons.
And even then, her combat skills are only good in solo PvP and general PvE. She's a second-class Assassin who's never done a major raid or reached the highest class weapons.
>she didn't put any points toward an rounded build
But doesn't she have the most OP combination of skills? That's gotta count for something.
hey so if I dropped log horizon yay long ago when does it get it good, dropped after 3rd episode
Yep. But if you also grade it on convenience and utility for an Adventurer, onigir beats the other foods.
I once played as a fighter in RO. Put all my points in strength. One hit could kill me but I could punch a hole in the universe.
>never done a major raid or reached the highest class weapons.
Sounds like me, if I ever get to the high levels in MMOs.
The homo of Soujirou guild
Her overskill allows mad deeps
Her overskill is just plain asspull to try and make Akatsuki seem relevant.
Depends on how shit your taste is. Are you a fan of world-building? What didn't you like about the first three eps?
But that's the best way to run a country. Look at what's happened to America since they let the niggers vote.
Dolce's the muscular tranny.
>beating crescent burger.
You unrepentant heretic
I wonder how Delicious is doing in Mitakihara. Did someone more competent take over the city and the entire surrounding region for that matter? It'd be nice for Shiro to have a foil.
What pic was it supposed to be? It seemd to be a good representation of Serara and Nyanta's relationship.
No matter how much Shiroe and co. try to prevent it I just don't see any way to prevent a race of superhuman immortals from eventually oppressing the inferior mortal inhabitants of the land.
As an American I agree. Obama is shit and if you say anything against him your called a racist. Its bullshit.
>shit taste over here
Seriously though there is some sweet action in the next episode. Also you should have been hooked after episode two.
Burgers are not as good when they're cold. Onigiri are good cold or hot.
Also, Japan has FOUR seasons nigga. That tells you something about their tastes and why Onigiri wins.
>Waiting for a massive technological leap that the adventurers create, blowing the people of the land out of the water.
>Waiting for other servers to cross the ocean and invade
>Waiting for People of the Land/Adventurer breeding
>mfw I know none of this will happen
>mfw I have no face
Any time you say an African-American is responsbile for their own economic state or poor decisions, the KKK kills another black child, you racist.
God bless those WASP bigots.
America does too and when done right a cold burger is still good.
Definately better than seaweed rice.
The story will probably cover a year and a half of in-story time before we reach the end. Thanks to in-game systems they can make things in a much shorter time than it would take in the real world, but it'll probably only reach 19th-century/early 20th-century technology level.
meanwhile 20k people are fucked unless they obey his rule. He's better than most but I'd generally find a different place to stay (drop in and out if i knew the in/out timing for faerie ring travel )before the power actually goes to his head.
If you mean weeks of travel on horseback/foot in a land with possibly new monsters when not every guild is a combat one, many iof the more useful items for a long term journey being locked in the bank so no supplies, while vulnerable to attacks "not that bad", no money since the logical place is to leave it in the bank, and to top it off even if they farm stuff while traveling you're now a giant walking sack of money/items for pkers.
Then you arrive in Nurenha's land.
It was a dick move that could have gone far worse if Japan wasn't so in love with it's hivemind.
>servers to cross the ocean and invade
Yes yes yes. Murrica going to MAGICnuke them again and teach them the true meaning of freedom.
>other servers invading
It's gonna be WWI and WWII all over again.
>America is the final boss of Log Horizon.
No, he's talking about how the Japanese are so proud of having 4 seasons and boasting about them to even primitive medieval empires like its something absolutely unprecedented.
>cross the ocean
So the Log Horizon world has X amount of geographically identical continents?
Remember William? He went there to kick Delicious' ass and bring order to the city.
I'd like to see how long of a rant you'd be able to write for Mitakihara. Of course people - even the weakest of them all - always want more rights and privileges. But few take the time to look around and be actually greatful for their relatively better situation. When everyone else around you is getting beaten and fucked in the ass, getting a slap on the wrist isn't so bad.
Please elaborate. I'm not seeing what's so great about having four seasons. We have them and its no big fucking deal.
Haven't got to the LNs yet but nice to know.
Its the same planet at half size. But its growing.
Which group are you from? 1 2 3 or 4?
One more thing. Delicious is now married to a lander and is henpecked.
The Log Horizon world is our world halving the size.
Well, they go on to talk about how there was a Japan server, so it's only natural to assume other countries have their own servers and were patched at the same time with the same patch, right?
I thin the real powerhouse could be the Chinese server players who embraced forced goldfarming on npcs and low level characters alike, though I don't think they would play as expansionists considering how isolationists they usually were in the past.
The real wild card here are the Russians, with enough nationalistic pride and under a charismatic leader they could steamroll all over Europe.
Jesus, just imagine Putin turned loose on a new world with few moral bounds.
4chan vs. 2chan. With 500% more profanities since there's no ragequit.
Consider that these are people from 21st century Japan. It's not like these people only know serfdom and free peasantry without any political powers or rights. Then again japs do so love to obey their superiors without rocking the boat.
I dont believe it
Shiroe actually mentions in the LN that Japanese people don't question authority when the round table is attacked by Westlanders who were trying to ruin the cultural festival
It's usually hard to get across because it's really fucking stupid, but the Japs are incredibly proud of the 4 seasons being so distinct in Japan. You get cherry blossoms in the spring, lots of green leaves in the summer, lots of orange leaves in the autumn, and lots of white snow in the winter. A lot of poems have been written about the four seasons in Japan and how distinct they are from each other and how that's some big deal.
It wasn't long ago than Japan only answered to the 3 alls - kill all, rape all and loot all and made most of Asia their bitch. People are opportunists. Rights/respect are a way to pacify your masses or opponents who are closer to you in power. Not the most ideal thing if the elites could get away with more given a greater disparity. It's not like exploitation of 3rd world countries by 1st worlds has exactly disappeared though we have to treat the rising stars nicer now with more mutual rights/respect.
Thought he was going to be a major villain... turned out to be comic relief.
The harem MCs inexplicable ability to pull bitches should be used in political maneuvering more often
He was a Hogger-tier enemy
Someone needs to do the forehead edit to this scene.
but almost everywhere not the equator or the poles have that. I DONT UNDERSTAND!
Are offspring people of the land or adventurers?
Japan doesn't get out much.
I think the author said he couldn't comment because spoilers.
And when they do Murrica has to give them a smack.
He basically says "We'll know in 6 months."
>Having more than two seasons
Living outside the tropics must be suffering. Two seasons are the best seasons.
The Japanese have little to be proud of so they overcompensate once they realized they're a tiny little Island.
A nice example is that VN from a year or two ago where a gaijin was taken to Japan to learn about great Japanese culture.
>OH wow. amazaing ! A store that's open late at night.
> A skyscraper! Truly Japan is a a marvel of engineering technology! and I could never see something like this back in America!
> OMG a Statue of adoggy that lived here. my god you have such rich history.
It was fucking hilarious how the VN was totally serious about all of those reactions.
Sure they're the best seasons, if you like thriving parasites.
There are 3 seasons in the tropics: Wet, Windy, and Dry.
>this fucking guy
Also, I desire cute pictures of Lenessia in her armor.
>all these Americans so hyped for Pacific wars and trolling Japan
>no one hyped about European Theater wars, the Virtual Holy Crusade, or the Christland Conquest of the Continent of HUEHUEHUE
these threads are sad to be in sometimes
REMOVE NPC remove npc you are worst goblin you are the goblin idiot you are the goblin smell. return to dungoieon. to our dungeon cousins you may come our server. you may live in the starter zone….ahahahaha ,eastal we will never forgeve you. cetnik pug FUck but fuck asshole goblin stink eastal sqhipere shqipare..goblin genocide best day of my life. take a bath
Was this Go Go Nippon? Because that's the only one that I can think of that would do that.
RMT bots are spread across all servers unless China has something special worth farming more than any other region.
China itself is currently 3 guilds fighting over the city. Basically all the people that would rape Japan are currently occupied.
The real threat is from Australia.
It's either Genius murder-spiders or people so hardcore they defeated said murder-spiders.
I also recall that people in the Philippines actually eat spiders/etc for meat so you've got people from Manilla coming out of the jungles to fuck shit up.
thats the thing that bothers me the most, in the LN her name is Raynessia.
I dunno we never had a windy season. Windy was sporadic over all the seasons. Like wet windy fucking cyclones and dry windy. Wet and dry though? Oh you knew when they had changed.
This picture needs to be a lot more blurry and noisy.
sorry but Im amergican so I would end up on that server. the alternative of taking over the world in virtual crusade is awesome as hell too though.
gg no re
What about the South Koreans? Is this game also one of their national sports and do they have armies of people who started playing since they were 5 and now it's their full-time job?
VNs are a treasure trove of bullshit opinions about foreigners. The second they're mentioned its like, see how much more civil we are, 'we don't boo we just scowl with respect'.
>Most probably would have been in the South East Asian server if I was playing Elder Tale
damn typing on phone is suffering, it never catches the screwups and changes the right words to wrong
"The machine-gunners' dreams of point blank fire into serried masses of Emus were soon dissipated. The Emu command had evidently ordered guerrilla tactics, and its unwieldy army soon split up into innumerable small units that made use of the military equipment uneconomic. A crestfallen field force therefore withdrew from the combat area after about a month."
"After the withdrawal, Major Meredith compared the emus to Zulus, and commented on the striking maneuverability of the emus, even while badly wounded. If we had a military division with the bullet-carrying capacity of these birds it would face any army in the world...They can face machine guns with the invulnerability of tanks. They are like Zulus whom even dum-dum bullets could not stop."
How do we solve this? Strawpoll time?
Henrietta petting Akatsuki
Especially since the Russian men can't drink themselves to death anymore. IRL their life expectancy is 64 and there's a 35% chance of dying before age 55 with all the heavy vodka drinkers. Which is essentially all of them. Hoards of angry alcoholics pouring from the steppes. God have mercy on us all.
It's how their alphabet pronounces roman "L"s.
L = R
>Soujiruo interrupting Isaac and Krusty duel
And here I thought he couldn't get any shitter as a character. He's already a huge Gary Stu, why force him in and ruin other character's scenes?
Spring was always an incerdibly windy season. It was very common to get 20-30 mph days, and windstorms.
But Hawaii has mountains, so that might've made the difference.
The Austrailians use emus as their cavalry mounts.
None of the above.
Good luck with that Shiro-sama.
Breaking news: Romaji is inconsistent and full of fuck
That's not news. Pssh.
Why not kangaroos? Too jerky a ride?
Not news at all.
But whatcha gonna do
>get giant roo mob
>pouch ride everywhere
>India has a collapsed Orbital Elevator
What is this bullshit.
>Not riding a Cassowary based mob
Where do I begin...
Giant kangaroo mob as in a giant Kangaroo or a large group of Kangaroo?(Mob is the word for a group of Kangaroo)
> The sunflower of Akiba
I did not know that, how about a mob of giant roo, cavalry units.
Add that they breathe fire with poison claws and passive regen. You gon' get fucked up, mate.
The most mundane nickname of any character.
Best sexy girl?
>Only the legs are colored
I have no problem with this.
What reason would anyone have for playing a RoR? (race of ritual)
they have so much downside but as far as I can tell no upside. I mean its not like with foxtails who can become gamebreakingly awesome if they are lucky. so why?
Tons of mana. If your group can keep enemies off you, you can rain death as a caster class.
Well, we don't really know how much magic boost they get, or if it increases things like MP pool along with it. Because I could see how some raid only casters could benefit from it
Just for the hell of it.
LH could've been a decent anime. Instead, it's a B-Grade under budget show obviously animated by Koreans.
How about some gifs.
Guys I think they were trying to tell us something in this scene
Now add basic animation and make it into a youtube video
Need to tame some monster kangaroos.
gonna need better bait
troll please. 0/10
Isaac is canon stronkest
Krusty is canon basedest
Is there some sort of breakdown on how varied the adventurer levels are? The whole 12,000 army thing seem like they'd make up of mid and high level players.
I hope the Australian servers >implying Australia's internet is worth crap have drop bear encounters.
>tourists never take the precautions
>They also swim near croc signs and take lifts from random bush folk
And they wonder why bad shit happens
It's only 1200 people. If they'd march with 12000 each adventurer would just slay one goblin or so and get bored. Either way I assume a large party from the black sword knights and D.D.D. will join so they'll probably be around Level 80-90.
That's because japs pronounce R and L the same, retard. It's supposed to be an L.
>it's pronounced the same
>therefore it's definitely supposed to be a L
Oh yeah, some one has good taste
Eh, it doesn't matter in the pronunciation anyway if you pronounce it correctly.
pronounced is not the same as written retard
Fuck off, retard.
> Can't into basic logic
> Calls people retards
dont have databait yet
>girl walking around dressed like a noblewoman
>must be a cosplayer
>girl dressed in skimpy pseudo-armor
>10/10 princess would follow into battle
That's Akihabara for you, I guess.
No crack theory about Soujirou actually being a woman in a guy's body?
You'd need some retarded logic to even try that.
Well she did introduced herself and she had Krusty and Shiroe with her.
Isn't that supposed to be Gate of Bait?
this is the good one
Almost as silly as that theory with Rudy being an Izumo Knight
That as never a "theory", just the product of ignorant anime-only watchers attempting to connect Rudy's death flags and the first mention of the Knights in the anime.
Pretty sure that was intentional.
Nazuna knows him IRL.
You could have made it:
>Black Hills: Landers defend their land while being surrounded by enemies.
But you just HAD to write it:
>Subhumans occupy the Black Hills
Were it not for white americans branding any non-whites as "subhumans" and "cockroaches", this wouldn't be racist, but they do, so it is.
/pol/ please go
All hail the superior LN readers. Our lords and masters!
>Why are Israel, Black Hills, and similar regions considered politically contentious and thus written in a manner catering to shut-in right-wingers? Are you writing for Fox News and The Guardian and Japanese equivalents?
>White point (Israel), a location where no village or landmark remains. This seems to have done so deliberately.
God damnit Mamare. This is what happens when you sit inside your house all day. Do some research before writing!
I think most of the people there were just waiting for a global event/quest for the longest time and were bored to tears, so when one finally came along, everyone dove into it.
They also have name tags for everyone. So each adventurer could verify by turning on the "name" identifiers like they show several times in the anime.
>Do some research before writing
What's wrong with it? Kazakhstan is a desert wasteland with towns in ruins too. Not every place in the world can be represented as a functional city or town and still have room for dungeons and monster fields.
Yes, but what about the 7 Kazakhstani players that don't know any foreign languages?!
They were probably in Putinland
Autotranslation is an actual thing.
Naw if he was a tyrant he'd do something like hold "executions" by waiting at the cathedral and killing a player over and over again until they become a hollow shell with no memories. They'd reappear each time begging for mercy, asking for their last few memories to be spared. Crying, powerless as they lose a bit of their self each time they resurrect until they can't even remember why they cry.
I want a doujin where characters memories are erased to the point of infancy and made into sex slaves.
oh fuck man that speech by best gurl got me in the dick
I assumed subhumans referred to the subhuman races, i.e Goblins, Sahuagin, Minotaurs, etc.
Everyone knows "subhuman" refers to BRs.
Pretty sure that's just due to Mamare thinking logically.
>Fantasy MMO set in destroyed real world
>Company would probably not design ruins for politically contentious areas, like Jerusalem/Israel because they don't want flamewars and bad press
I would just assume that the Jews and the Palestinians nuked each other to death in the game universe, since it's post-apocalyptic.
>Tyrants are all brutal dictators
Look at Lord Vetinari in Discworld. He's a tyrant and absolute ruler, yet he makes benevolent choices and tries to make things more progressive and allows the populace to do mostly as they please. But he's still a dictator who spies on everyone and knows everything that's going on in Ankh-Morpork, can execute anyone he likes after a sufficiently entertaining show trial, and rules by fear.
That... would work.
Are we gonna see the battle next episode? I enjoy buildup but im ready for some action
Question, why is picture related true?
I understand Crusty is "in charge"(alpha as fuck), and I suppose Shiroe is the strategist, but why is that other fellow so important? I know he's a crafting expect with a huge guild, but why not Shopping District 8 or that other guy?
Also, when did they choose Crusty to be leader? Additionally, why the FUCK do they keep calling him Representative instead of say, President of the Round Table, King? Lord? Prime Minister, LEADER?
The Grand Council of Huehue shall now convene.
We'll see Minori's group fighting the Goblins, struggling to survive, and have Rudy die at the end of the episode. We won't see Krusty going full berserk or Shiroe leading the army.
Because he was there. Its that simple.
Crusty is the General and shares half his power with shiroe, the other guy represents the crafting guilds
He's the head of the largest production guild.
Krusty because Krusty fits the bill.
Representative because he represents them, he's not necessarily higher in rank or position.
>We won't see Krusty going full berserk or Shiroe leading the army
That still happens this season,right?
Am I the only one who does not see a downside to the foxtails random ability thing? I mean no matter what they get a skill that is useful
Not really. Assassinate on a caster isn't going to do shit, and you could lose one of your great skills.
Anchor Howl on an Enchanter
Something that scales off spell damage and costs a ton of mana on a Guardian instead of Anchor Howl.
>Be Warrior or Weapon class
>RNG gods hate you and half your skills are spells now
Yeah, super useful.
I see. I made a mistake in forgetting the other members of their delegation are not heads of their guilds, and therefore do not share equal status with those three. This essentially answers the first of my question.
This states Crusty is the General and shares half his power with Shiroe. Is this just in practice, or has it, in the anime(not LN) been formalized at some point?
You on the other hand say he is not in a higher rank or position, which is supported by the term "Representative".
However, towards the end, Shiroe states that the final decision lies with Crusty, seemingly placing him above even Shiroe's authority.
Yep. We're confirmed to at least finish Volume 5.
>2000 + X
>preferring social chaos and killing over order, stability, and general happiness
Look at this baka
Has he ever described how it works? Should we ask him?
I always assumed it worked like this:
>Gain a Level
>Here are three randomly selected skills from the six martial/caster classes, depending on your base class
According to all of the information we have, it is entirely random, no element of choice.
I thought it was pretty clear by description. When you level up, instead of learning x skill, you get y skill from another class in place of it. There's no picking or choosing. All up to the mercy of RNG gods.
> not begging Crusty to rebel.
Krusty becomes the de facto Prime Minister of the Round Table sometime in Volume 2 or between Volume 2 and 3. He's not the leader of the council, but he does guide discussions and is their outside representative.
Crafterbro is important because he lucked out. Technically, it's a good thing because he has lots of power, but it's kind of boring for him because he'd rather be crafting.
Why does Shiroe defer to him then? Does everyone on the council have equal voting and decision power despite different roles? A "true" Prime Minister(first amongst equals) ?
Sorry. I'm borderline autistic when it comes to chain of command due to my military days.
Is there a tea pot weapon?
largest guild master and can handle more people
You could hit someone over the head with a teapot.
He got the biggest dick. He wins
I think it's kind of like with the US supreme court. They all have an equal vote in decisions, but the chief justice leads discussions, and is often called upon to give the court's general opinion.
So, they can build a steamship..
Can they build a rocket and go to space?
There is no space inside the database.
Gunpowder and processed fuel only exist in the anime version.
What if they get like a bunch of mages to create explosions to send them upward.
Everybody voted for him because nobody wants the job.
Or just make stairs reaching up to space using earth magic and make trains/pulleys
There is no damn point in building a rocket to go to space if they haven't even invented guidance systems, launch systems, and computers yet. What you're asking for is a long range firecracker that goes nowhere. Nevermind the possibility that the sky could be some invisible Cthulan monster that might aggro if people started firing random objects into space.
Crusty is so alpha he BECAME 2D to get a waifu.
Thank you so much. This was a pretty important question to me. This explanation seems sound.
However, as they lack an executive branch, and a military branch(combat guilds?), who has the formal authority to enter a war theater? I know in practice it would be Shiroe, but on paper, is anyone designated that authority?
You'd probably like this then
But if they reached the moon, they could set up a ferry system so the dead adventurers didn't have to lose their memories to come back.
>Nevermind the possibility that the sky could be some invisible Cthulan monster that might aggro if people started firing random objects into space.
That's the point though, I wanna know what's up there.
Galileo didn't have launch systems and computers and he was looking at the moon man, gotta keep your eye on the prize.
I still don't get why they give a fucka bout the landers besides muh morals. They could force them to do a bunch of free labor for them if they wanted but don't for some reason
The moon is the afterlife?
>I still don't get why whites give a fucka bout the negroes besides muh morals. They could force them to do a nunch of free labor for them if they wanted but they don't for some reason
To most players, the landers are just background. Like vending machines and trees.
Fuck you nigga they got enough problems with goblins and you want to summon the wrath of anti-spirals
Thanks! Yeah, I'm very excited to read this.
Theoretically speaking, could the adventurers make a hot air balloon seeing as it would only need a summoner or sorcerer to provide the hot air to achieve lift?
It could also be built in a way that would allow multiple travelers to ride it like a small zeppelin of sorts.
>Giant combining mech piloted by Krusty /glassesadjusting
>they make it to the moon
>it's the final boss
How much do NPCs know? Are the game mechanics part of nature to them?
The Council decides as a whole.
>However, as they lack an executive branch, and a military branch(combat guilds?), who has the formal authority to enter a war theater? I know in practice it would be Shiroe, but on paper, is anyone designated that authority?
It's kinda nebulous. If anything, Krusty is the most in the military branch's position (leading war, enforcing decisions with his guild's size), Shiroe is the intelligence branch (has a number of different groups all acting as his spy network, completely unaware of each other's duties). As for actually declaring war, the thing is, none of them have the power to do that, something that was discussed in this episode. As Krusty and Reynessia put it, adventurers are free, the Round Table only really exists for the purpose of keeping order.
Yes. They could. Remains to be seen if they will.
Actually, why didn't the build one and fly it over the Goblin armies so that they wouldn't need to send Krusty and Misa out on a scouting mission?
What if, hear me out here, they make it to space. They travel to different planets, universes.
Suddenly they find another universe with a planet similar to there's, only there's no guilds, no monsters, no cat people, and no respawning. And that planet is called SAO
And Galileo never made it to the moon. Astronomy and space travel aren't the same thing anon.
In b4 Shiroe becomes Rossiu.
>Little by little, we advance a bit further up the bridge of the nose! That's how a /glassesadjust works!
I was wondering why they haven't built a small one yet just to test it out.
So, he still wondered. Quit hatin nigga
They never had one in the plans yet, not to mention there were more than just goblins, I think there were flying monsters too. Not to mention there are Goblin Shamans who could probably just toss up a fireball at it.
Not exactly the safest thing.
So have their hair/beards/bodies been growing?
If the game's geography and such is based on the real world, what are the odds of them seeing pic related if they ever make it onto the Moon?
>SAO invades Log Horizon
>Complete annihilation due to superior numbers, respawning, and magic
remember this isnt a game but another world
>implying the moon landing actually happened.
I agree with you, but found that viewpoint somewhat ridiculous.
This is a new World. Based on the organization structure an anon wonderfully sent me, D.D.D. is organized very much like a real military with the exception of the branches being specialized.
Loyalty would trickle down and effectively a war could occur. Particularly when individuals believe they are immortal. If Crusty asks the heads of his Divisions to join him in a war effort to save a sentient group of individuals at no cost to themselves. Those individuals would appeal to their Lt.'s etc, and a war effort would begin.
This same type of system is possible, although to a lesser extent in all the combat guilds based on their organization.
At this point, the smaller guilds will likely join of their own effort due to the moral high ground held in the cause in addition to the large guilds participating. For most people, the majority of those on their friend list not in a guild would be going to war. With no personal risk involved and for combat based players no true livelihood, it is unlikely they wouldn't participate.
Therefore a declaration of war seems quite realistic if the heads of the combat guilds agree, and the production and crafting guilds put effort into classic "Uncle Crusty wants YOU" propaganda.
Yeah I don't get that shit either
I never played RO or EQ. If I were to try starting now would it be worthwhile? Could I hope to possibly even find some other LH noobies to play with?
Except even if it's the distant future version of our world it's still based on post-20th Century Earth.
The Moon Lander would be there if the Moon's design was based on the Moon or if this is actually the distant future. However, I thought it was just the Beta server so it should really be a mini-version of the Half-Gaia Project world.
actually its been noted that the world is only half the size of earth
I think you're right. They just needed that bullshit to advance the plot so Crusty's waifu could get fucked in his bed in HIS town.
>Hasn't read Volume 6 yet
I guess that makes sense. But that would require either a good reason for them to actually declare a war of conquest (for example, exhaustion of nearby resources, which, for all we know, respawn) or an external threat that could potentially threaten a race of nigh-immortal demihumans. Think about the MMO players you know.
On second thought, they could probably do what Reynessia did, and convince enough of the populace that a war would be entertaining enough that they would participate.
Also, keep in mind, there are only something like 15k people in Akiba, and a decent number of those are crafting specialists.
No, because then it would be one guild acting unilaterally on its own, and that would shatter the Round Table.
This is why the army Krusty Leads isn't just made up of DDD Adventurers, but includes Adventurers from other guilds.
EQ2 is still accessible enough, despite its age IMHO. EQ1 probably not -- they have NPCs to help you level now, and greatly accelerated leveling speed etc. But the controls and UI are ancient by todays standards and are a major chore to deal with.
isnt it because DDD hit the cap for guild members in the guild
Don't forget the graphics in EQ1 being ugg. The controls really are the deal breaker, though.
Still haven't found a game where it was as much fun being crowd control and support as EQ1, though. Also, do Log Horizon Enchanters get AE sleep?
Shiroe is an excellent force-multiplier. This in combination with surprise, a trained and uniform force, the consistent, no-error communication and the ability to respawn make me believe if they wanted, the Round Table could conquer the people of the land, assuming no outside adventurer intervention.
Technically, there are subguilds operating under DDD.
Its the same as West Wind Brigade having a subguild full of Souji's fanclub girls.
Definitely. I was Enchanter main for a long time in EQ1. Hell, even before we knew what Enchanters were, so I kinda lucked out. (Didn't find out what mez did until like L25, and Clarity was a nice surprise at L29 and suddenly everyone wanted me in their group...)
No, he's talking about the army the dispatch to fight the Goblins.
DDD alone had enough members to handle all the combat duties.
they have do have a reason to not take over though
going a diplomatic solution allows them to get their answers they want easier and keeping the quest for the lower levels available right?
Have you tried the Loremaster in Lord of the Rings Online? Here's a general overview of their skills, although the list is a bit different now due to a recent expansion:
Aside from being a nice AoE DD, decent healer, having a nice variety of summons, and nice support skills like the ability to restore power (mp) to their allies, they have great CC, a lot of it being AoE.
Never played LotRO. Looked into it a couple of times, and, as I recall (It's been like 5-6 years since I checked it out), the death and travel mechanics put me off.
I originally wanted to play Priest in WoW, because they had sleep spells initially. But then found out on release they had been removed, so I pretty much gave up on that then.
I'd recommend at least checking it out, especially if you're looking for a good CC class. My Loremaster is only level 23 so far and I can easily keep 5 enemies permanently rooted or dazed at a time.
I suppose I'm just a violent chap, but I'd conquer them all, leaving their infrastructure intact, but having them swear fealty to me. A similar system to what Game of Thrones has IIRC, and much closer to how Royalty looks. Alternatively, I don't read the LN, but the People Of the Land likely have a King of the entire world. I would depose him, and assume his powers.
Which Scrub would you mentor?
Does /a/ play FFXIV?
drillhair megane sorc
I was really hoping ESO would be not shit and I could be an illusionist/healer, but it looks like fate and Zenimax hate me.
Maybe I will check out LotRO later, it is FtP now I guess.
Whichever one is slutty enough to suck my cock on the first day of training. Srs.
>Put on the mask
But it doesn't give me any arm--
>Helmets are for casuals. Put on the goddamn mask.
>Now where the fuck did I put my giant's armor
I thought you just said armor was for cas--
>Don't talk back to me. What rings you got bitch?
>Start reading the novels
>That bullshit with the druid girl near the end of volume 1
As a support/healer main in most games, this annoys me.
Almost as much as the whole Shiroe's class is bad thing when it is obviously OP beyond belief in a group.
REMOVE KEBAB FROM THE PREMISES
So is Rudy getting rekt this season?
Aren't his abilities based off the skills/spells available in EQ2 though?
That's the entire point. By sacrificing any solo capacity, they greatly enhance groups. This type of class was pretty common back in the older MMOs Elder Tales is based on. For example, here's an overview of the Enchanter class in the original Everquest:
What bullshit did serara do, I don't even remember.
Also his class is pretty bad in small scale stuff, especially since he is a raid build. TBH is weak as shit, only does 5k dmg per cast and needs 5 hits? Non scaling? Sorc and Assassin laughs at you.
The biggest difference I see from EQ1 to LH for enchanter in making them pitiful at soloing is stripping charm.
Charm was omega OP.
I know, its just made out in the novel that people wanted him in their group for his knowledge and didn't understand his powers.
Personally I wish more classes like that existed, I'd do that over healing instead.
Part of why I dislike my current mmo is no support/healing that is really focused on that role. But I can barely stand the genre anymore anyways.
Shrine maiden with the whip. Totally guild second-in-command material.
Left bottom picture foreground blondie with in orange and red
She looks like she'd be someone good to dump unwanted tasks on.
The whole somehow keeping the tank alive vs 5 or 6 seemingly level 90s being level 19 along with cat man.
I'm also annoyed at how everyone ignored the healers on the enemy side and let them all die so easily.
Don't look at the damage, look at the control he provides.
>and didn't understand his powers.
I wouldn't find that unbelievable. Even today people often view everything outside the "holy trinity" as worthless.
Still don't like her since she's an even bigger Mary Sue than Souji, which makes it worse since the side novels focus so much on her and her almost-haruhi-like plot armor
To your first point, Naogutsu made smart use of his cooldowns. To the second point, those scrubs had been acting like jackasses raping landers, not out training, so they probably did not even bring up party menus to pay attention. Hell, they may not have even been in parties, because there were so many.
I doubt anybody was going to accuse that monk (What was his name? Demikas? More like Dumbshit McMonk) of being an awesome guildmaster.
They were in parties, but Demikas is the kind of jackass that keeps all of the healers in his particular party rather than spreading them out to keep everyone else alive as well.
Ironically, the original holy trinity in EQ1 was warrior, cleric, and enchanter, because you can shove any fool dps into those other slots and usually be ok.
She wasn't actually healing them. She was just there for the healing 'glow' effect to make them think they were being healed. She's also healing the enemy as well so Akatsuki can Assassinate them without anyone noticing that the heals were suddenly gone. Copy and paste from old posts
1. Make sure Nyanta and Demikas are involved in 1v1.
2. Nyanta will win this fight so Demikas will call for his support and healers.
3. Have Naotsugu jump in to tie up the support.
4. Demikas' healers bring him to full.
5. Serara now uses her heal spell on everyone, including the enemies. This means everyone now has the healing aura on them.
6. Akatsuki is now free to silently assassinate the enemy healers one by one. Your own status is hard to check but you see the healing aura around you so obviously it's your own healers right?
7. Once stuff is tied up enough and enemies are complacent, Naotsugu uses Castle of Stone, making enemies even more complacent and overconfident. No one really paying attention to their low level healers sort of grouped together and way in the back.
8. It's time for Nyanta and Shiroe combo, instant kill on Demikas, he didn't survive in the novel.
Akatsuki is now finished with the support, stick her knife at the sorcerer and holds him hostage
ESO doesn't care 'bout Argonians
She looks like she needs a good dicking
The DPS of past MMOs were never important either. The support classes basically allowed all the classes to rotate as DPS in a raid.
Nowadays, everyone wants to be the douche with the biggest epeen so they traded away the valuable support class for the disposable DPS class.
His class was never said to be weak, just bad for soloing while amazing in group, meaning its a rather unpopular class because you need to group.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Most raids don't require DPS either, with the exception of raid bosses with a passive regen rate.
True enough, but it still bothers me.
Yeah, you've got a point there.
Probably the only nice thing about mmo PvP is the fact that other classes are more able to be viable or even desired.
I... didn't even notice that.
I thought she was just healing her group.
Damn, I feel a big dumb now...
>Nowadays, everyone wants to be the douche with the biggest epeen so they traded away the valuable support class for the disposable DPS class.
Aka Guild Wars 2.
Ugh, more FPRPG? I can't stand Bethesda's character models.
I hope her and the rest of scrub hammelin makes appearances after Sandleaf, maybe growing up and starting their own raids and stuff.
Didn't they say its hard enough to check your own status now that its RL, let alone the status of your party in the anime?
Because yeah try noticing your parties status when you are trying to kill the people in front of you.
Koreans could do it
Its only an inconvenience at first, later on, the adventurers can toggle on/off their status screens like a second nature to them as implied by Minori being able to access her telepathy screen to contact Tohya while having a conversation with Charasin.
>MFW when at the end of the speech by the Princess
Damnit why can't I be an immortal adventurer that fights monsters for a just cause. Shit is way better than living here outside the database.
A conversation is a far cry from battle anon. You have to focus in the area infront of your forehead iirc? If you're doing that I doubt you're going to be actively paying attention to battle.
Charm was OP after Dire Charm was introduced you mean... before then it was suffering.
I thought the implication was that she can easily focus on what's in front of her, while subconsciously controlling the status screen?
That's a huge step compared to before when they still needed to do hand gestures.
Nah, you just had to charm kite.
And it was even more OP in groups, I remember we would get 4-5, and I would charm one, AE mezz, and go to town.
There was no point in doing this, but I was bored.
They never had to do hand gestures in the first place in the novels. You moved the 'cursor' with your mind, which meant that doing it in battle to navigate screens was really bad.
>everybody rolling as squishy dps shitheads
All I remember in EQ1 was Enchanter soloing was not viable until Dire Charm was introduced. Way too much of a PITA before that.
I do have fond memories of charming the Reanimated Hand in L Guk though as a pet, giving it dual daggers and buffing the shit out of it. Of course it was incredibly painful when charm wore off and I had to reapply.
If you paid attention, and practiced, and were used to kiting (I also was wizard, and eventually started dual boxing), charm kiting was viable from vanilla EQ. JBoots helped.
It really is a big difference, but ET mezzing also seems like crap in comparison. EQ chanters could lock down well above 10 mobs simultaneously if they were good, and by the sound of it ET mezzing capability caps at 2.
This brings up something that bugs me about ET, are there "spell levels" where you could mem different levels of the same spell and have multiple cool-downs to work with? Or are you restricted to highest level version only?
Also I gotta admit ETs 10 second CC would definitely make Enchanters seem incredibly weak if they weren't really fucking good.
Pretty sure the new spell level replaces the old one. Otherwise you'd end up spending mastery points for improve a skill, only get get a new 'level' of it later on and you'd have to waste more mastery points. Right?
Reminds me of the mez spells in Kunark. They majorly fucked over Enchanters with that stuff. Very high resist rates, especially AoE mez had incredibly short duration, etc.
At this point, it's non-canon. Mamare might modify her story later.
You probably played Everquest much later in its timeline after Enchanters repeatedly got nerfed and mobs resists all became so high that the class became a buffbot. Not sure what the current state of live is but I know that the class got ran through the mud for a while because it was obviously OP for so long.
In the early times they were the best solo class by a wide margin largely because of charm. It was extremely Charisma based though, if you didn't focus on maxxing out your Cha charm would generally only last a few seconds before breaking.
I played from release day until Velious, then came back for a while in PoP and early GoD.
On a sidenote: Anyone know what this new project of Mamare's is about?
Tratoria After School
Hmm, then I would guess it was a lack of either Jboots/SoW, Charisma, or both.
something to do with a girl at a cooking school summer camp (?) being transported to another world and doing something cooking related (?)
I can't watch this show. It just makes me cry because it only reminds me that all the MMOs today are complete shit.
>watch an ep of LH
>get fired up to live in the database
>launch random MMO
>stare at screen for two minutes
>2 star reviews bring down the average to 3.5
Nobody is reading this.
Anyway, the summary says stuff about Mamare being the hit author behind Maoyuu, and how the members of a cooking club are suddenly transported to a fantasy world. And so now the cooking club members will explore this strange new world, but what effect will their cooking technology have on the world?
>Dog Days meets Iron Chef
Lets fucking do this.
Are you me?
that was actually kind of an exaggeration, i've been having a pretty good time playing gw2 with some irl friends recently
it's fine since we're just kind of playing it to have fun and not caring about endgame or pvp or anything and not giving a fuck about minmaxing as long as we can clear dungeons
i've also started grinding runescape oldschool
I honestly don't see how thousands of people still play that game
What would possess you to play Runescape...
The thing with the round table council is that they have very little if any at all laws regarding anything they do. As far as we've been told the only proclamations they've done are pretty much basic human rights and non-aggression principle applied to everyone. Otherwise the councillors dabble into whatever governmental matters they're interested in.
The council is so half-assed, informal and corrupt in regards to bureaucracy and laws (high ranking guild members of the council guilds make up the top civil cervants with lander filling in the bottom) that it's a miracle it works at all. You could even say it only manages to do anything at all because it rules over japanese who queue politely even in MMORPGs.
They're 12. They're all 12. Other than apparently my co-worker that recently capped L99 in his final skill to completely max out his character after like 8 years.
nostalgia to both
i dropped about 6k hours on the game from 2004-2012 when i finally quit, so playing oldschool is fairly pleasant and relaxing
it's like the people who play RO servers though, there's not much reason to play if not for nostalgia
Don't they still run the entire game off of Java?
Fuck if I know, I've never played it myself, but I do know they overhauled the game engine a few times. Most recently I think it was converted to HTML5.
the oldschool server is in java, yeah, since it's basically a recreation of what the game was in 2007- this is the UI
the modern game (which they call runescape 3) is all html5 stuff with a shitty WoW clone ability-based combat system and awful performance since no matter how nice html5 is trying to make a game that runs in-browser look anywhere near as nice as a traditional downloaded mmo is no easy feat
I played a number of MUDs originally, before getting into Ultima Online and Everquest1.
Until Book 7. where Shiroe ensures that no one, not even himself, will ever control important buildings in Yamato
>Being able to do more than tying their shoes and importing western labor to build their shanty towns (That one city doesn't count; it's a bit more than a shanty town)
Kanami is currently traveling to Japan across Asia, it's not an invasion, but it's something
And from the last Q&A, Mamare hinted that the subject of Lander/Adventurer breeding will be touched on, he says it will eventually be possible though
And they get blacklisted by the Jews because of how they do it.
She was one of his slaves who turned out to be a noblewoman.
>Implying the Six Twisted Princesses weren't Jews and they're responsbile for the state of Israel
Which makes >>101422635 surprisingly appropriate, since her ancestor went through the same thing.
>Soujirou shows Kirito what it really means to be a swordsman
>Implying all Alvs are Jews
So, who's more alpha, Soujirou or >Kirito
Nah, Shiroe spoke to the Jew Chief and got the okay when he revealed what he was planning
well shouji has like 120+ girls and his Overskill looks too good
Soujirou, because he doesn't angst, has far far far more girls in his harem, is a competent player, has a guild considered one of the top battle guilds despite it's size, friendly as fuck to everyone, and realizes he has a harem, but doesn't mind
Why is it always the dual wielders?
The higher DPS you have the hotter your are
Souji is a fighter class and is closer to tank actually
Nope. He is using a DPS build.
His only means of tanking is his parry ability which lets him block using his swords.
No, Samurai are naturally tanky. They have damage negation and taunts as their abilities.
Soujirou is going to be tank or offtank regardless, most of the Iai build abilities only work if he's getting attacked in the first place.
But you live in the Database. As a lander with main class NEET and subclass wizard apprentice.
I wish Mamare would put up a complete list of subclasses and what they actually do so I can prepare for the tabletop.
Guys! What if...
Kamachi, Kawakami and Mamare does a collaboration project?
>Crusty will never give Raynesia the DDD.
>She will forever be imoutozoned
>Nyanta will never give Serara the barbed cat D
>She will forever be daughteruzoned
>Shiroe will never give Minori the gryphon ride
>She will forever be apprenticezoned
>Naotsugu will never give Tetra the castle of stone
>She will forever be brozoned
>Mamare will never be loved by Mamare imouto
>He will forever have mismatching shoes
Impossible, as there are hundreds of subclasses, not including the countless hidden ones, or the titles. It's meant to be that way so you can make any Subclass you want
There's a complete list on the wiki. Abilities can be guessed at from there.
What subclasses' abilities have even been described by Mamare? I know there's a bunch of them translated from his notes but I think most haven't been described by Mamare at all.
If you're in the Database, what class and what level is your character?
What kind of equipment do you have?
What is your financial situation in the database, are you a poorfag or rich as fuck with all sorts of treasures?
>name is available to use
Haven't there been a bunch in the novels though?
>Helps with cleaning
As soon as they find the everburning coals and eternal snowflakes people had left over in their inventory from summer and winter holiday events.

As long as Shiroe lives (which means forever, since death for adventurers equals ress at cathedral), never. Many adventurers are young kids after all, and it's quite likely that they will remain eternally young in the world of Elder Tale. It is also questionable if there will actually be more adventurers spawning at all.
Would be nice to see a short OVA of the lvl 90's during their scrub days doing adorable scrub things
I wish more MMOs did higher tier equipment with filigree and cool art textures than with giant fucking shoulderpads.
Only one I can think of is LotRO.
Think how cool it would be if you got a "Cloak of the raven" on a caster and instead of dead birds on your shoulders it covered your back in MC Escher bird patterns.
Oh RIFTS, you so crazy.
I recall they have a basic combustion engine right now unless my brain was imagining things while i was sleeping.
I dont disagree with that but any forced attempt at using their power could have turned Akiba into a ghost town.
The entire point of it all is even just to make people waste time so that they dont get bored. They're basically in authority because their authority was forced and onceshiroe sells everything back to the server they just let them do whatever.
Short story volume 10, featuring Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu, Nyanta, and Marielle.
Even nuclear powered generators are steam engines. Dont underestimate steam.
Many of the countries that people came from declared war on and killed their kings.
Eg America, France, Russia.
The Lander Kings are exceedingly lucky the Adventurers didn't decide to repeat history if they thought the Kings were douchey enough.
Yeah, but nuclear generators are still massive, and require huge facilities.
You won't be able to make this perpetual motion steam engine effectively mobile.
They have eternity to make it mobile. Also you clearly have forgotten nuclear powered vehicles exist. For example the Mars rovers, Submarines, Aircraft carriers. Game mechanics also means it's probably EASIER to make the engines without making them large, not harder.
>Yeah, but nuclear generators are still massive, and require huge facilities.
>You won't be able to make this perpetual motion steam engine effectively mobile.
It would be a lot easier to just admit you have no idea about any of the things you are talking about.
>Log Horizon Raws 1 through 6
Does this even work? I've tried a few mirrors for volume 1 and none of them work...
>the Adventurers didn't decide to teach them their history
I thought about that but you've got to remember game mechanics still apply. this is a bunch of lv 1 vs lv 30-50 guards. The fight wouldn't be as easy. if anything in that situation the lander peasants would have to ask the Adventurers for help in deposing their king.
Did TL-kun bail? I need muh WWB and Nyanta manga.
Reminds me of Dead Space.
The big Lander armies have about fifteen knights at 30th level or so. The rest are much lower level.
The only forces capable of rivaling the Adventurers on an individual basis are Ancients and Guards.
Chick in red seems confident and promising.
I don't think Shiroe was a scrub, he looks like me the type to read forums for at least a day before even downloading client.
America never actually killed 'their' king.
Runescape Classic was even more "primitive" - back when it was 2d sprites. Good times. I still remember that dungeon with four respawning giant bones that I spent something like a week or two grabbing for a couple of hours each day to level up prayer. Got it to the point where I had the "ignores all damage" prayer.
I dropped it after 16, after I just saw that ship in OPs picture, I'm going to go watch 17 and 18.
There was way too much focus on the noobs doing their dungeoneering bullshit. Hopefully there's more worldbuilding and character development these next couple episodes.
Average veteran is lv 30 but you've got the occasional very rare ( and very old) veteran of ultimate badass at around lv 50. It's not a huge force for subjugation but unless they want to pull a goblin horde the peasants have to deal with fighters capable of mowing them down.
Then we have the guard system that's going to spaz out once an uprising occurs.
You now what i meant. Curb your autism.
I like how the file size is almost 100 times less than the original.
We would have if we could have. We where too busy kicking Britain's ass as a mangy rabble of colonies to be worried about building a navy and taking out Britain. I think we try to make up for it today by overcompensating with our navy and air force.
>Adventurers are powerful in combat, Akiba's 15000 Adventurers, about half of them are level 90. Even if you lower
>the average level to 70, that will also mean Akiba has 15000 level 70 adventurers.
>This fighting force is far above what the nobles can command.
>One of the nobles leaked this information: >"There are 15 level 30 knights in my army, the others are guards and
>militias, about a hundred, other than this, the rest are mercenaries." If this is true, they can suppress this territory with
>just 30 adventurers.
Landers ain't got shit compared to Adventurers if the Adventurers decide to declare war on them.
>Then we have the guard system that's going to spaz out once an uprising occurs.
It only responds to specific violence comitted by players against npcs inside a town. Outside it doesnt care.
Not really. Britain sent an extremely small "peacekeeping force" to America. The only reason they didn't get instantly beaten was the majority of Americans at the time didn't give a shit about any silly revolution. Nearly 1/3 of the people in America got kicked out after the war ended for not serving the rebels.
Plus Britain had a giant ass empire , standard wars with France and etc to contend with. I know it was all awesome for you guys and all but you really weren't that important to Britain you little American tsunderes you.
The Nobles are all inside where its safe from raving monsters.
uh yeah... i never said they were. Please show me where you think that a lv 50 or two are remotely a threat to a lv 90 anything.
ever hear of a siege? you can die inside your walls if we are determined.
You brought up level 50 Landers existing around the place. I'd like to know where that information comes from, because it appears to disagree with what's actually said. That even level 30s are so rare that there are barely more than a dozen in the army of one of Eastal League's entire city-states. In fact, a noble thinks to themself at one point that all the Lander armies put together will likely only come to about 2000 or so.
Yeah I have. I also know that castles are DESIGNED to weather sieges for months on end if not years, none of these peasants have tactical knowledge, they're surrounded by monsters that could attack at any time and probably are since adventurers aren't fighting mobs as much,
This is not a scenario where revolution is going to actually work.
your telling me that you dont think pulling down the walls and letting monsters in would be a good plan? you dont think being able to launch high powered spells at the city would matter? what about taking out the cities magical barrier against monsters? it would take ten years to reapply but its doable.
you dont know shit m8
Foxtail Cleric Best Combo; Clerics have good HP/Mana pools, get heavy armor. It is da best.
>randomly lose skills
Fuck that shit.
What if you randomly lose your heavy armour skill?
>Not making hundreds of foxtail characters to minmax the best skills
Do you not realize what I meant by that? A cleric would have enough health and mana to adequately be able to utilize any skill it gets.
The peasants wont be launching jack shit at the walls. Their actual class in the game is peasant. They dont know how to read so where the fuck are they going to learn the spells from a scroll?
Go to a castle nearby if you can find one right now and try to ke that thing apart with your bare hands. Tell me how it goes. The Nobles on the other hand are the ones that are going to have sorcerers slinging fireballs. You've got the entire scenario backwards in your head.
Pretty sure heavy armor isn't a skill it sounds more like the armors have class requirements.
I was talking adventurers
I don't know, I tend to think of "heavy armour" in terms of a proficiency, so you can make a build based around your skill in wearing it so it functions better, or you gain particular abilities on a skill tree related to its use. Kind of like how Naotsugu has a "Shield Swing" ability based off his skill/ability to use a shield.
Then why are you arguing? An adventurer could just walt in there and ly toss the nobles outside ala shotput to circumvent the guard system.
MMOs don't work like DnD and PF silly /tg/.
We know there isn't a heavy armour skill because all the skills for classes have been translated.
I see what happened now. You responded to my post but it ooked like you were continuing the conversation i was having with a different anon.
Clearly you have penetrated my cunning disguise.
>few dozen assassin and trackers bagging nobles in the middle of the night like they were NSA or some shit
>come morning and all the ruling nobility have disappeared without a trace
Your statements imply we wouldn't do that after, or in fact, simultaneously.
Truly, our Imperialism knows no bounds.
Why didn't Mamare kill Rudy?
It would be far better if Shiroe only thought about that whole contract thing later and he realized he could've saved Rudy back then.
Makes for an interesting character development, don't you say?
AW SHIT NIGGA IT'S TIME
fuck you spoilerfag
Because mamare isn't trying to be the master of edges.
Is /a/ this shitty nowadays?
>killing off character
try harder troll
>Makes for an interesting character development, don't you say?
Shiroe doesn't even have any emotional connections with Rudy, the first time he met him is when he's dying. It would be a shit reason for Shiroe's character development.
>Killing off a puppy
>Not spoiler tagging your post
Come on, log horizon threads are usually so good about this. It's why the fanbase is so great. Don't start this shit.
Man, this episode got me hyped.
Guys, it's the SAO fag again. Ignore him.
SAO pls go.
So, no killing off character for character development because...
Never thought Shiroe is that heartless
>someone criticizes LH
>must be an SAO fag
Why is the LH fanbase such a big hugbox?
He's never met the guy before. The only connection he has to him is that it's a Lander dying and that a couple of his guild members are asking him to fix it like he's the Messiah, and he just so happens to have a theory he'd like to test out (his Scribe Overskill).
And stay go. This is chri... shintoist education channel, we do not crucify half-naked heroines or kill characters introduced for the sole purpose of killing here.
Or expose them to tentacle sex.
Although knowing Japan, I'm less certain of the veracity of that.
>asking him to fix it like he's the Messiah
And that's why Mamare should make him less of a Messiah.
Mamare is actually an NHK employer now.
What is your
and explain what if you are sucked in the database and what will happen on your community which you lived in
let's see how much you will adapt in your county database
>And that's why Mamare should make him less of a Messiah.
Then how's that make an interesting character development for Shiroe? Rudy dies is just you asking to stall his Scribe Overskill, he won't have any emotional baggage in failing reviving Rudy.
Time to ride my summoned emu into battle against the spider battalions.
>Thread not discussing the possibility of a mini-OVA about Krusty vs. Isaac
>Implying Isaac wouldn't have won the battle even though Krusty is the most based.
I guess being a Tank/Blacksmith doesn't pay off as much since I'm near the coast and should've been a Summoner/Fisherman.
Get my Yeti, Snowman, and Magical Deer summons. Then help to keep the peace, that is if anyone is enough of an asshole to actually start any trouble.
Maybe try to go find an ice dragon summon.
Find a guild to join.
Travel the world, since I'm not cut out for politics.
Maybe got to America and see what weird summons I can get down there, like a weapon monster or something.
>Maybe try to go find an ice dragon summon.
If wyvern mounts are so rare that you can probably count the number of people who have them on your fingers, a full on dragon summon is probably even less likely.
be a tamer. just catch one.
A summoner can dream though.
pls let me dream (´･ω･`)
Hey bro, let's use the fairy rings and get the fuck out of this shitty country.
No but we eat worms which is delicious when eaten raw
and oh arbortion duck eggs is the best
>implying you won't end up on the moon
At least he'd feel shame for not realizing the full extent of his ability sooner.
Which makes him less of a "super smart strategist" that he is now.
>It's either Genius murder-spiders or people so hardcore they defeated said murder-spiders.
Isn't Australia supposed to be doing okay? Something about splitting up into a half and half group where one half thinks Landers deserve rights and the other doesn't. And the one that didn't got its shit kicked so the place is pretty peaceful?
i believe those assholes in the southern island will go on war in nothern borneo for laughs and giggles
>At least he'd feel shame for not realizing the full extent of his ability sooner.
Why? You're trying to say it's like a big deal as if Rudy's death would be some giant milestone for him. And it really wouldn't, because Rudy means little to nothing to him at that point.
Shiro being a super smart strategist is his whole schtick. He's the guy who found out that you can actually make use of your subclass abilities in ways never intended by the game just from eating good food. When he's not making keikaku doori, he is grinding up his scribe subclass and trying to find completely new uses for it.
Oh God yes, I would use the fuck out of a fairy ring.
Or get a ship and conquer the coast by ridding it of ignorant fools.
>implying Australian players wouldn't go and invade Indonesia for the lulz and fuckoffwerefull jokes
>a human being dying doesn't mean much to him
>Mamare slowly brings up the fact that he's a psychopath
>He becomes a villain later in the series
>Shiro being a super smart strategist is his whole schtick
If a character's whole schtick is just being really good at something, then he might not be that good of a character.
Which is pretty problematic when he's an MC.
>South east asia
>- Dungeon at the bottom of the Mariana Trench that requires a ton of special items, contracts, and other requirements to even attempt. At the end is an altar-like rock that can be used to "summon" something.
Guys what is this something?
It's pretty a small community and there are two types of players: fuckstrong max level pros and terribad casuals. No alliance can be formed due to everyone having a shit personality and players constantly kill each-other over the smallest things. The few that aren't complete retards pack up and leave for an endgame town where they set up base and start rebuilding.
I would probably be powerleveling and minmaxing because I'm an antisocial sperg and after I build an OP as fuck character I would try to work my way into the endgame base.
It would be pretty bad.
Its not that 'all the lander armies = 2k'
Its that 'all of eastal's armies = 2k'
Don't assume the Free Cities are the only Lander cities.
Iä! Iä! Cthulhu Fhtagn!
Do Lenessia drink "adventurer potion" too?
They're all that matter for the purposes of the EASTAL noble thinking about the threat the goblin army poses to the EASTAL LEAGUE and how they will negotiate with Akiba the city in EASTAL'S territory.
And still doesn't explain where the level 50 comment is coming from.
Congratulations. You just found out that anime characters are one schtick exemplified.
>implying Straya wouldn't be busy with those raid-tier critters running around
I'm on the northern side. Bots and scammers everywhere. Split between watching the shit unfold or fairy ringing the fuck out of there.
Well, that explains why I don't like most anime out there.
God damn it Henderson.
Australian server is actually really peaceful post-Catastrophe, or as peaceful as you could expect. They've coordinated themselves into pacifying the place and getting home.
I don't know, but I really, really, REALLY would want to take a legion raid down there to beat the bastard down and get him as a summon contract.
Would bots even exist after the apocalypse?
Wasn't it whoever logged in was transported in to the Elder Tales world? So basically it's just a low level characters that were used as bots before.
That thing got his wee-men
Yes, bots still exist. However, the Apocalypse meant that the bots gained sentience.
They acquire self-consience and intelligence. There is one former bot in Kanami's party, for example.
They gain intelligence.
Meanwhile on the central islands where we fanatically build the biggest port in the Philippines and mass building boats and ships
>and oh we have sunday buffs because we like jesus
I see the discrepancy now, after expanding prior posts back to the source. It seems >>101450591 thought that >>101450539 was talking about an uprising of the peasantry to kill off douchey lander Kings. There seems to be quite a lot of misunderstanding going on in the conversation.
Also, I'm not the anon you were having a conversation with about the lvl 50 thing, I just thought that it should be noted that if all the landers banded together, their armies would probably equal the Goblin horde, if only in numbers. This would only happen if you were to include all the Landers, not just the ones in Eastal. This is in response to the statement of "all the lander armies put together will likely only come to about 2000". That is all
Fellow flipbro, lets escape this hellhole and find greener pastures. We ride at dawn!
