why is it called Fate/Stay Night?
what does that even mean?
It's about fate and you need to stay up all night playing because it's so long.
Its called Stay Night and you keep it in the Fate folder.
It's your fate for it to always be night.
It's your Fate to have girls Stay the Night.
That makes sense.
I thought it was a play on the word 'knight' who appeared before Shirou on that 'fateful night', and how he wanted her and that memory to stay with him forever, at least in the fate route. It could also just be something that sounded cool to the author.
Japs don't really have even a remote understanding of english language. Fate/stay night, Melty Blood, Metal Gear, Guilty Crown, Code Geass, if it sounds somewhat cool, it'll do.
It means Tohsaka has to stay the night so she can fuck Shirou.
Night 3 is where Shirou's "fate" diverges. I assume "Stay" comes from Shirou letting his harem stay in his house throughout the VN.
But all of them except the Type Moon titles make sense
>Fate: Remain Night
I did notice it was dark a lot of the time.
4.) stop, delay, or prevent (something), in particular suspend or postpone (judicial proceedings) or refrain from pressing (charges).
assuage (hunger) for a short time.
"I grabbed something to stay the pangs of hunger"
"he tries to stay the destructive course of barbarism"
>Stay [the] night
>Repel/Prevent/Delay/Curb the night (darkness)
Shit. Why did I never consider this?
"Stay the night" means to get through the night. The night is a metaphor for the holy grail war, and you're trying to survive.
That's what I first thought of, but maybe it's just about the fact that half the characters end up as freeloaders at Shirou's place.
now i get it
Aw, that made me sad.
All of those have meaning in their show except FSN
Sounds cool to the Japanese
