What does /a/ think of Revolutionary Girl Utena?
not nearly as revolutionary as I expected
lots of filler
7/10 enjoyed watching and haven't though about the show since
Yuri Bear PV when?
Loved it, its one of my favourites. I'm a major /u/fag so I should have raged at ep 33 but I liked the anime too much for it to ruin me.
It's pretty funny too.
Greatest anime of all time
You're meant to call it a hidden gem you just found.
I love it.
I want Akio to fuck me.
Difficult to get into at first. I found the attitude really abrasive for the first 8 or 9 episodes, I was just looking at the wrong way, though.
Once I threw away any pretense about what I thought it was trying to be and just let it wash over, it became very engaging.
#1 character to have no-strings sex with.
It's one of my favorite shows of all time.
I miss it
But I'm very happy Utena is getting a nice scale figure
I'm not used to buying figs, what's your guess on how much it might cost?
>Sluts: the anime
Nanami ended up the only pure girl in the show.
All the pureness in the world doesn't change the fact that she killed a kitten.
Juri didn't sleep with anyone? Or does being in love also make you a slut?
Needed more hair down Nanami.
First I thought it was pretty stupid, but maybe at some point I would learn what the whole rose bride thing was. Then I was left in the dark for a long while so that the producers could practice reusing animation. Then they told me what they'd tell me and I realized I was suppose to be in love with this 20 episodes ago.
Yeah /a/ This ones really compares with evangelion. Oh definitely.
On a serious note. Evangelion, when I watched it I felt that "Oh they just gotta beat the big bad angels or whatever." Utena its fucking "Oh they just have to beat the...4 people so that. they don't....revolutionize the world? What ever the fuck that means? The show seemed to be the definition of pretentious making up all of these weird terms and giant things that it swore it would explain but then just drops out on and skips.
I think that starting a thread with "What does /a/ think" guarantees it to be a useless lump of shit.
If you want to talk about a show, fucking TALK about it. Don't just beg us to talk about it for you.
Saged, filtered, etc.
but muh symbolism
Utena is mostly a character study and has lots of ambiguity so it's understandable to get confused.
I watched the whole thing and I didn't understand the point of it. I guess it really was 2deep4me.
Nanami > Anthy > Juri > Saionji > Utena > Touga > Miki
If you struggled that much with the anime, you'll love the movie.
Nanami > everyone else > shit >>>> Anthy
The bitch deserved everything she got.
If someone knows what the fuck the movie was trying to do/say please tell me.
That made even less sense. What was that suppose to represent?
I'm going to bed now. Utena is a masterpiece. If it was 2deep4u, just try watching it again and maybe you'll understand more.
Shiori getting promoted to main villain (or at least #2 after the Prince) was weird as fuck. I guess Ikuhara really liked her.
Nothing made sense and I enjoyed it.
nothing can stop the rapecar
>tfw no good juri pics
