Why is Kill la Kill a failure in terms of animation?
It's just lots of still shots and even the animation scenes are poorly done.
You know they have talent but they sure aren't using it for this production. Maybe they just fail are recruiting new blood?
I found this rather amusing
>ryo-timo started out as amateur GIF animator before turning professional. He initially failed an examination test for Gainax.
Funny that Yozakura Quartet is a better sakuga anime than Kill la Kill.
Kill la Kill isn't a show you watch for the animation, it's one you watch for the plot.
Dude no. You watch it for the characters and because it's fun. The plot is not that good.
That's a new one.
I think you meant PLOT
>complaining about animation
Are you serious?
I don't think they have a very good budget, Ryuuko vs Satsuki in episode 15 wasn't that badly animated so they probably saved a lot of their budget for that epiosde
>fanservice the animation
someone post the gif
have fun trolling each other for 400 posts
I want to bully Satsuki-sama.
Designated aesthetic =/= bad animation
This is just helping them get on their feet for bigger and better things to come.
>Implying pure animation quality matter
TOP FUCKING KEK
It's the directing matter the most. There's no anime with better action scenes than KLK this season, despite the subpart animation.
Wizard Barrister doesn't count because it has god tier staff rarely seen for average TV anime
They use it where it matters
The OG Life Fiber looked nice as well
The animation is no worse than the average show, really, it's good enough for the purposes of the show given their budget. The only reason it's even an issue is the ridiculous hype before it aired and everyone thought it would be some crazy sakuga show for some stupid reason.
They have no budget and the outfit designs don't lend themselves well to complicated choreography. Simple as that.
I gave up on KLK being a sakuga anime long ago, and so did trigger. Just watch it for the bombastic atmosphere and sense of fun, and go to dandy for the sakuga.
>not Wizard Barristers
But Space Dandy is also disapointing as fuck. While the animation is nice, it has no plot.
It's intentional. It's a massive meta-statement by Trigger and you're just to dumb to understand it.
Just like Satsuki has been getting more moe as the season progresses, Ryuko has been getting more powerful and Nui has been getting bigger boobs, Trigger has animated everything better and better.
>Watching Law and Order: CGI edition
>Not watching Bahi's rotoscope extravaganza
It's episodic, not the same as "no plot." Same thing Cowboy Bebop did. Same thing Urusei Yatsura did. Same thing a bazillion other anime does but no one complains about there.
Kill la Kill also has god-tier staff
Dandy isn't Bebop/Yatsura, Dandy is watching Dexter's Lab or Ren & Stimpy. The episodes have no connection to each other.
I guess I just expected something different, I thought it was going to be a woman loving rogue, going around space, blowing up stuff and capturing aliens, in a slightly camp 70s fashion with a great soundtrack, so far it hasn't delivered on all of those.
Animation is a bunch of still shots.
>OP in charge of not being a faggot
Episode 16 is looking pretty good.
Is this trend going to continue?
This. It does have some nicely animated scenes, but their budget is lacking and it shows. It's still enjoyable as fuck though.
I hope that KlK will make enough dosh so that Trigger will be able to pull off a second TTGL.
Not really, sadly Trigger still doesn't have everyone who worked at Gainax
Try Cobra instead
It's not nearly as anarchic or chaotic as those western shows, and the episodes have just as much, or as little, in connection to one another as Bebop and Yatsura, save for story arcs like the Julia arc, which I suspect Dandy will have too.
Satsuki-sama has such a great backstory.
KLK is a big joke since Harime Nui appeared. Empty flash and meaningless bullshit plot armor.
The plot is fucking shit
The designs and action direction are what hold the show together
I don't think they do. All the action scenes become meaningless distractions. This is Star Wars Prequels levels of stupid.
