What is Master of Martial Hearts?
japan didn't like it
Didn't it do really poorly sales wise?
I know it certainly made a loss due to it's high budget.
Was it that bad really? I thought it was successful
Darker than Black
Daily Lives Of High School Boys
Bamboo fucking Blade.
Didn't that sell like shit?
The manga was cancelled in favor of touhou.
Darker than Black
And a third season of Birdy, please A-1 DO IT.
just a little over 1k on average. Even with it getting licensed in the States it probably won't get a 2nd season. Shame cause it was a good show
Ranmaru looks like crap in her girl mode. Posting superior version.
Just you wait.
>Implying both modes aren't top tier
Eat shit senpai
inb4 shit taste
Here Is Greenwood
>wanting more moreblobs
Jesus christ anon.
It sold like shit.
Noucome had shit sales. Hyouka might get a second season when there is enough material.
There's a very good reason for Hyoka. They ran out of material. Only one novel/story ark was left unanimated, out of 5.
Would you really want to hire the Kyoani writers on that though? The same ones that did KnK? And Chuu2? Or Tamatako Market? Figures.
It literally looked like shit. Worse than Kaiji.
>Everyone at but the janitors leaves Gainax to form Trigger
>Gainax holds rights.
That's a pretty good reason it seems.
I can't think of any series. I'm sorry /a/.
I think the one good writer stayed too because christ KlK is shit.
Detroit Metal City.
And you know, the two directors with actual talent.
But we well get one!
LWA was still pretty good though. I dunno what is going on with them.
There's barely any content left and the author is slow as fuck.
Darker than Black got one... It is called gemini of the meteor.
Yes. The box sets were like $350 MSRP due to the budget, which made sales tank.
No. KyoAni actually had to apologize for it.
Because the character designs are the shittiest in the world
What part about Hyouka was "moeblobs"?
>The manga was cancelled in favor of touhou.
Maybe they'll get it together once they actually can have a decent budget.
What is Darker Than Black?
what is mononoke
Attack on Titan
Legend of the Legendary Heroes
There will be a second season, don't worry.
In like 5 years though
The reason is not enough material yet. Pretty reasonable.
They're probably wanting for the god damn manga to be finished.
>a single night's mahjong game spread over 20 volumes
This series is only 5 episodes in
because Spike died.
I think the fact that the first season isn't even finished yet is a reasonable enough reason.
Seitokai Ya-oh wait
No it didn't, no it didn't.
Durarara jumps out at me, though I don't know how well it did in Nipponland.
Ookami-san, oh wait the narrator ruined it.
Feels bad, man. The LN isn't as good.
Ed would become the MC.
Nyankoi even had a second season teaser at the end, was the sales that bad?
didnt the writer ragequit or somehting like that mid way?
Because the entire season would be one fucking game, and it wouldn't even be over.
Yeah but I think there was still enough content for a season 2
I think they're making a live-action version/sequel?
Aside from the obvious ones?
>Never deviates from the premise in favor of becoming generic shit (this happens quite frequently with LNs)
If you only knew what happens later on, you'd be wishing for more.
Let's hope David gets that JoJo money and gives us some more of their best show.
If you'd asked me a year ago, I'd've said Mushishi -- so there's always hope.
Meanwhile, still waiting for episode 2...
What the fuck was with that off-screen final fight?
I just want MonkeyxNobuna man ;_;
S2 is confirmed.
I think GC pretty much said all it needed to say.
Hyouka doesn't have enough material. That's a good reason.
0/10. Step it up.
Kidou Butoden G Gundam
Isn't the manga itself on indefinite hiatus since a couple of years ago?
Most japanese live action spin offs are shit.
Because it's a generic harem with literally the worst lead girl of all time. You're tastes are always shit, kill youself.
LWA was good because Trigger has some good animators. Anything Imaishi directs is garbage though. Stick to the lighthearted witch adventures, I'll watch more of that.
Washizu has just come back from the dead, so they're not getting off Namek any time soon. That is, alas, a reasonable explanation for the lack of season 2.
Knowing Witt's 1 chapter per episode shit theres MORE then enough content for another 25 episodes leading up to chapter 50 or just past that.
>Anything Imaishi directs is garbage though.
>Dead Leaves is garbage.
>TTGL is garbage.
>PSG is garbage.
>KlK is garbage.
No anon, your opinion is garbarge.
Didn't follow the manga at the time, then I totally forgot about it.
They probably could do it now, but the show was already getting too drawn out in S1.
>Dead Leaves is garbage.
>TTGL is garbage.
Decent if you never watched a Giant Robot anime before.
>PSG is garbage.
>KlK is garbage.
I'm holding out hope. You can't just tease Shingen like that and leave us hanging.
Most of the supermarket fights, the Wizard fight and the pool fight were all very well done. It kind of dropped off towards the end but I'd have faith in the next season.
>No anon, your opinion is garbarge.
>Liking anything Imaishit directs
Only good thing he ever did was the first half of TTGL, and seeing as he made them change the script for later on I'm sure he would have made the first half shit if he could have instead of just the second half.
Mononoke. Every single arc was unique and enjoyable, and the medicine seller was god tier character.
But the latest one was better than the second one
>S2 is confirmed.
ctrl f panty
>>Gainax holds rights.
Imaishi is owner of rights.
Were you the guy who made the exact same complaint in an anime clichees thread? i don't even know why I remembered that.
>If you only knew what happens later on
>>101404720 is full of shit. Nichijou did badly because Kadokawa thought a stupid gag comedy would actually sell if they put it in 13 volumes at $80 USD per volume a month. No one's apologized or said anything outside of business meetings. It's possible only Kadokawa and Lantis lost money on it too.
although I'm not sure where it would go since the manga kinda drags on
Man I dropped that shit really hard. The main girl was like an even-more-annoying Senjougahara
any minute now
I agree. I actually liked everything not S2, but S2 had no reason to go the way it did
I don't even know why it had to change studios; I've barely heard of Asread and something like A1-Pictures would be much more fitting
> He doesn't enjoy teaseing
Sora no Woto
step it up /a/
SAO... oh wait.
Literally impossible for it not to get it's second season.
I'd hold off on the manga if I were you, I know I am
Sold like shit. It did make the LN more popular, but that doesn't mean a second season would be worth making.
>Not enough material
I just wish Nobuhiro could stop being retarded and just do a proper sequel to Rurouni Kenshin featuring Kenji ad the protagonist (and that way get a proper anime for it as well)
because perfect ending thats why
She gets into a real fight and gets her shit slapped trying to save her pet fujoshi toy. Sato explains to her she'll never understand their world. She tries to hit him again, instead of going with the comedy, he doesn't flinch. Then he goes and does the job she failed it.
Literally the perfect retribution without being edgy.
actually I think it had a second season but the whole thing was really enjoyable, it had good closure for the story line at least
stop lying about this sort of thing it isnt funny
Baccano wouldn't really be able to have a second season just due to how its written
also please no wrench guy filler
deadleaves is supposed to be garbage though
thats just sort of its style
A better reason is that it hasn't been long enough since the first season. Definitely expect a second season by the end of 2015.
The only real answer is Durarara, the rest mentioned ITT have perfectly obvious reasons.
But all she did was tease the fucking MC, there's is a limit to that shit
People liked soul eater?
Kaiji's anime series were for the sole purpose of promoting the live action movies, which sold like hotcakes, while the series sold like complete garbage. Mondaiji accomplished its purpose of promoting the novels and a second season is well warranted. Same with Legend of the Legendary Heroes.
the ending was utter shit
>accomplished its purpose of promoting the novels
Just like pretty much any LN or manga adaptation, yet they very rarely get new seasons if anime doesn't sell well too. Stop crying already.
>cliffhanger to season two
>never got season two
WHY GOD WHY!?
> by Brain's Base
Please. They haven't animated a second season of anything. Not Baccano, not another season of S&W, why would you think Durarara would be different?
But the characters were fun and likeable, the story moved at a good pace and there's literally an endless wealth of exploration they could do into that world.
Not everyone is just interested in anime as an advertisement, some people like watching some shows.
Exactly, it accomplished it's purpose. What would be the purpose of a second one? They're not going to magically generate 4 times more sales again, especially considering the only people watching it would be people that already got into the series.
I don't disagree that Durarara won't get an S2, but you're wrong about brains base. Natsume has 4 seasons.
Martian Successor Nadesico
>he forgot about Ume
What is katanagatari?
Also Kaiji is a bad example because it was targeted at normalfags from the beginning and the live action movie profits are in completely different league from LN sales.
Well, maybe you should have bought it then, if you liked it so much. Anime adaptations are made for profit with some exceptions.
I remember it being aired when the phrase lurk moar meant something.
>especially considering the only people watching it would be people that already got into the series.
False. Have you never noticed that a series was getting a second season and thought to yourself "Hey, if it's good enough to warrant a second season, I should probably get into this"? I've consistently started up series after their second season begins and catch up to watch with /a/. More screen time means more sales.
What more do you want, best girl is dead. Shinka ain't got no reason to be interesting anymore.
Baccano and S&W S2 didn't sold enough to warrant new seasons, while Drrr sold very well, like 18k + 5k box well. There are tons of Natsume seasons and they can change the studio if they want.
Spice and wolf S3 when
>No irresponsible captain tylor
It deserves it the most.
Why does she have puppy play mittens on?
True, but it won't bring in enough new people. Anyway, it's never getting an S2 so you might as well give up hoping.
Can we dream /a/
>He didn't read that I said she gets her justice
Just wait and see.
And it's not like she's some shitty main girl who gets magically shipped with the MC.
No. They said they were thinking about it and there's a game coming out at some point.
They couldn't make an S2 if they tried, they left out too many characters.
I think they'd have to remake it from scratch, the anime cahnged too many things along the way.
Maybe because the anime covered the entirety of the source material, from beginning to the end?
well, aside for that maniwani-or whatever their name was - spinoff
What is Hataraku Maou-sama
Yahari ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru
Also Medaka Box needs another season badly, why would they stop at that particular moment ?
What is Durarara!!?
Not lying. Darker than Black got a second season called Gemini of the Meteor. It wasn't great.
I know this was mentioned upthread, but the gif is required.
C3-bu: The line
You probably think there was a Tsukihime anime too.
Did Akagi win yet?
If you'd asked back in the autumn, you'd have been told that Washizu had died of blood loss some months before; but in the latest chapter, he came round again. So we're still on Namek.
But there is, unfortunately. Source material is retarded/lacking.
White Album 2
dat gif almost killed me.
What were the sales of Hyouge Mono like? If they weren't bad it really deserves a second season.
But this time using novel designs
What is, High School of the Dead?
Durarara is the correct answer.
>studio's highest selling series
>tons of source material left to adapt
>legion of fujoshi ready to throw their money at it
battle programmer shirase
So he's a cute boy this time right?
Are the people on /a/ autistic?
Watamote, PSG, Beserk (fuck you budgetfags).
>he thinks the 'a' letter stand for anime
