Do you prefer marathoning anime, or watching it weekly?
What should I marathon?
I remember watching a BIT of Inuyasha so many years ago. Was about some jewel thing right? Is it worth watching the whole thing?
Marathon or 3-4 eps.
Just watching 20 minutes of something is not enjoyable for me.
Depends when I pick it up and how much I enjoy it.
4 episodes max.
Generally marathon, but I must admit I deeply enjoy watching weekly episodes with /a/, things like the mutilation mandrill are as good as the show itself.
If you aren't watching new episodes of currently running series as they come out, you are a failure. Marathon your backlog, intentionally leaving new series so you can marathon them is retarded.
Marathon. around 30 eps max.
Depends on the show. I can't imagine marathoning a show like Valvrave, but I love watching shows like Hidamari all at once.
On weekdays, 1 or 2 episodes per lunch
Marathoning is for holiday
weekly since im not a NEET and i have a life.
I don't watch ongoings.
I marathon plot-heavy anime, and watch currently airing anime purely for cute girls and fanservice.
>marathoning SoLs and not shitty trainwrecks like Valvrave
What the hell is wrong with you? Shows like Hidamari Sketch are best when taken slowly.
This. Though I have to admit a lot of shows this season have a promising story along with the cute girls. I just hope things don't go down the shitter near the end again.
Marathon. Weekly watches always leave you wanting more, and that is torture. Fuck, I need my Noragami and Seki-kun fix. Not to mention the fucking monthly waits between each new release of Robot Girls Z.
I want to watch stuff as it comes out, but I usually have to watch 3-4 episodes at a time due to lack of time.
I haven't watched a show weekly since I got internet. First time on Kazaa, I went and got Dragon Ball GT and watched all of it once it was all done.
It's better to marathon things I think. Find something from /a/, look it up, seems interesting, download it all. Watch it in a day (if it's 12-13 episode series I can do two in a day) and take screencaps to use for wallpapers later.
Who could possibly like to watch an episode a week or a chapter a week?
Will be watching Space Dandy once it's all over. Not starting Free! yet because it might come back for a season 2.
Usually I try to watch 3-4 episodes at a time of currently airing stuff, unless I REALLY don't want to wait.
If it's already ended then I just marathon it as fast as I fucking feel like.
I marathoned the 26 episodes of NGE.
I usually marathon whatever is in my backlog.
Marathon. I tend to forget last episode's stuff when watching weekly.
>Kodomo no Jikan
Got through those in a week. The rest of the time was Yu Yu Hakusho but I burned out after the Dark Tournament and it's on hold. How can you get better than that? I have a feeling it's all down hill now
I watch 1 episode a day, and when the MC sleeps I go to sleep too to immerse myself
I hate watching weekly, I don't like having to wait a whole week to watch the next episode. It's frustrating.
>tfw just marathoned valverave
I usually marathon first seasons since I'm pretty oblivious to anything good when it comes out.
Amount I marathon depends on the series. I did marathon all of Madoka without knowing anything about it, and that made me feel pretty sad.
I don't watch airing series, I just watch the last year season series while the current one is still airing, repeat till I die.
When I do watch, it's usually 1-4 episodes (sometimes the whole series if it's enjoyable) per day.
Being a One Piece fan is suffering
>1-2 minute recap
>5 minutes of the episode is flashbacks to previous shit that if you were a real fan you would remember
Suddenly that 22 minutes is 13.
Marathon as much as I can before it gives me a headache.
Weekly, I like to take my time instead of just rush watching it.
I don't mind marathoning unless its some good shit like Texhnolyze or YY.
marathon backlogs, weekly airing
I don't understand how people can bear not to watch at least a couple of airing series. There's nothing like discussing it right off the bat with /a/. Livestream threads are my favourite.
But you're wrong.
>not watching weeklies
>not participating in weekly discussions, speculations and shit postings
>There's nothing like discussing it right off the bat with /a/
You mean getting spoiled by fags who already read the source material
marathon anything with a decent story
week to week for comedy, harem & SoL
I don't care about the "let's discuss pointless details and write fanfiction of what should happen for an entire week until we're all proven wrong" so I marathon everything.
Discussing episode-by-episode is more fun than looking back and discussing the show as a whole.
also you run the risk of constantly being spoiled if you wait to marathon.
The last thing I tried to watch with /a/ weekly was Meganebu and you all hated it so there weren't really any threads. Never again.
I just can't see how much quality discussion shows like SYD would get. I mean, most of the threads I see about it are usually "best girl" related so I disregard them entirely. It would probably work for shows with actual plot, but I save those for marathon-ing once the season is over.
I tend to marathon stuff from my backlog if it's plot heavy. I watch episodic stuff from my backlog whenever I'm in the mood. I've been watching Mushishi for almost two years and only eleven episodes in. Also, I watch currently airing stuff weekly.
What were the threads like when Dragon Ball was currently airing? Were they tolerated? I've seen how bad some DBZ can get and then they get pruned/removed
>implying im a loser without a job who can spend hours sitting on his ass watching anime
>believing spoilers on /a/
I dislike marathoning series because it leaves me really exhausted of watching it. Small breaks inbetween increase the enjoyability.
99% of OP/EDs suck shit so you can skip those. That leaves you about 20 minutes per episode, you can watch 3 an hour and and most series in 4 hours.
Exactly what Dragonball are we talking about here?
Enjoy never getting the full story. Manga has it all.
Does anyone enjoy SoL no plot shows on a weekly basis but when it comes to marathoning them I just can't do it
I don't enjoy those ever
>every anime is based on a manga
Every good* anime.
If I don't need to wake up early the next day, I can marathon up to 15 episodes a night but some shows are terrible to marathon.
I'm looking at you, Monogatari.
I marathoned VVV. It was fun.
I marathoned One Piece from the beginning to the end of Thriller Bark, only stopping to shit and sleep.
IT WAS GLORIOUS
But airing series is the vast majority of threads. I can't imagine why someone would be here if they didn't discuss airing series.
I marathoned bake, nise, and neko black
though before that I almost dropped it around ep 6, and didn't watch it for a month or so
I simply watch weekly shows until I have nothing new left in my torrent client, then continue with my backlog until something new comes in.
Marathon backlog, watch new episodes weekly as best the discussion is right as it airs.
I always marathon the backlog, or in the case of stuff like Aria I watch one episode a day.
So far, all the shows I've watched have been marathoned, whole 26+ seasons in one day.
I work though, so most days I only get to watch 4-5 episodes before having to sleep.
Weekly, I've gotten bad at marathoning shows over the years because I get distracted or something
I watched ongoing shows as the episodes come out. (ex. Sakura Trick)
I marathon shows that were already completed. (ex. WataMote)
Marathon old, watch new weekly as it RSS's.
If I'm depressed I marathon them
If not I watch them a little bit throughout the day
I hope you don´t have detective conan in your backlog
nobody asked for your mal you fucking trash.
