Can we have Horizon thread?
I just watched through whole 1st season and few episodes of 2nd season.
First few episodes were confusing as fuck, till i watched it again and then noticed timeline and all those tiny details
Season 3 when ;_;
S3 when Toori puts his clothes back on.
1 or 2 more years.
Horizon sold really well so it is only a matter of time.
There's already a containment thread for you faggots. Reported.
Reported for announcing report
>1 or 2 more years
I'm gonna die till then
How much did it sold?
And yes, i really will die till then because of cancer
>Being this new.
Tomo best Horizon.
I remember being hyped for the show. And then I watched the first two episodes.
>that generic clusterfuck trainwreck with balloon boobies XD
Dropped like a hot potato
All Horizon are best Horizon
>i lack concentration to notice details
Horizon Season 3 will hopefully happen within the next year or two. Shit sold like gangbusters after all. I just hope it sells even better so they're encouraged to pick up the pace, otherwise a complete adaptation will be pretty fuckin unlikely.
>hating on G-sized breasts pushed up in skintight bodysuits
are you gay?
It sold great (20k/BD volume), but we still get shit like second season of Love Live which aired not even year ago
You need to finish it, there's actual story going on.
the first few episodes are a little deceptive, they're pretty much there to show what everyday life was like before shit went down.
>but we still get shit like second season of Love Live
didn't keep up with Love Live, what do you mean?
>didn't keep up with Love Live, what do you mean?
Never mind. I read "but we still get shit" as "will get shit". my reading comprehension is shit tonight.
Don't make me come over there, i'll hit you with "light" novel
It's moe idol shit, think shittier Idolmaster
I remember watching episode 1, thinking how great the animation was and expecting it to fall off after that. Boy was I wrong.
There are only two things I want. A season 3, and a figure of my waifu Neito.
You and me both, good friend, you and me both.
>a figure of my waifu Neito.
She had the swimsuit one IIRC?
>Season 3 when ;_;
Maybe someday to never.
Season 4, 5, 6 etc? Never.
Should've never started this, as I will never see how it ends anyway.
I mean, the novels are (being) translated now I think but if I wanted to read novels I would've already done so in the first place.
>Season 4, 5, 6 etc? Never
nah, as long as Horizon novels continue to come out, there's a chance for another season. Shit sells well in addition to being a great advertisement for the source material.
And the fans are pretty consistently dedicated.
So we have source material for 5-6 more seasons.
And it had great sales.
What the hell is Sunrise thinking?
Please vote for a French (physical) Horizon translation.
Swimsuit figures are not acceptable.
If you don't, you disappoint all French werewolves and half-werewolves alike.
I wish I were living in the land of ouiaboos, you guys get so much great shit.
Why not? The hair on it leaves much to be desired but the body is quite fine.
You can atleast give those of us who know (basic) French a chance to read it by doing the poll.
I'm voting for it, even though i don't know a word of french.
Give me a line to write as comment so you can get better chances of getting it
Already did that, buddy. Too bad I was learning German instead.
might as well learn Japanese.
Need a good line for textbox
>Une dernière chose à nous faire part ? Un commentaire ?
>you will never hug Minori
Voted. French translation would be pretty good since it's not as hard to translate french to english and I actually stand a chance of being decent at the language some day.
Told them to do Mismarca too because christ I need some form of translation for the later volumes in my life.
It's way easier to learn french or german than Japanese if you start with english and getting another language under your belt makes it easier to try for Japanese.
S'il vous plait, pour tous les loup-garous de l'Hexagone français, traduire Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon.
It's probably wrong in a whole bunch of ways, my French is shit.
Owari no Chronicle?
More like TALKTALKTALK no Chronicle.
Still, it feels great having translations again.
Better than nothing
I also voted for Maou,Spice and Wolf and Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria
>early first volume one week from now
>Dengeki event soon
It's happening and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise.
Also, the new layout of the Owari no Chronicle baka-tsuki page breaks compatibility with the bakareader app, which is kind of a pain.
I like the colors of the new one and all, but surely there must be a way to fix this.
S'il-vous-plaît, pour tous les loup-garous de l'Hexagone, demandez une traduction de Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon.
though that sounds a bit too authoritative
À tous les loup-garous de l'Hexagone, pourriez-vous faire une demande de traduction pour Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, s'il-vous-plaît?
is a better and more polite way to formulate a request.
I'll add that when I cast my third(?) vote.
>mfw I still remembered enough broken French from when I lived in Belgium to read the form.
I knew it'd be worth it someday.
Thanks for suggesting a good comment too.
Why don't Uk companies do such polls?
I understood most of it without spending a minute on studying French.
It's not their fault Brits or Americans don't have as extensive animation/comic cultures.
Not that Horizon is likely to sell in any market outside Japan.
I hope Yen Press someday picks this up instead of shit like SAO
Since we have a thread, can someone translate this, so I can edit it later?
Thanks in advance, since I gotta go now.
If shitty IRC sales site is anything to go by, Horizon had one of the most consistent sales figures for two seasons. It really seems strange that Dengeki doesn't want more.
Ouais, c'est quand même plus poli comme ça.
I'd buy every single volume hardcover that came out
You can only hope so-normalfags want their dose of shitty LNs which they think it's greatest thing since Bible and McDonalds
I would too, but that makes us two.
At most I could see a thousand people or so buying it.
I really wouldn't mind if they jacked up the prices to compensate though.
Make'em expensive and make polls to see how many would buy them. Maybe add preorders and stuff.
8th of february is approaching fast.
What happens then?
>Owari no Chronicle DC
What the hell is this? Is this some side story novel or something
I wonder how expensive they would need to be in that case. The poll draws the top line at 15€, but I can see it being more.
I think I remember someone saying it's a part of v7 that got cut out.
Haruhi Hardcover is about $12-25 depending where you look. Books here are usually around $25-30, sometimes even $40 for hardcovers
15-20€ is more than enough.
Novels in Italy cost 12€, and so are American's.
The most important part is seeing the audience's size and what the people want, you can't afford to bring titles randomly.
Why don't they release in PDF or epub?
Afraid of pirates
But Horizon is paperback to begin with.
Well maybe they would give it a hardcover. Anyway, I couldn't see it being more than $20 paperback
They ask whether digital or physical copies are preferred on the poll.
Physical would be more exciting for Horizon, of course.
Why is Juana best Horizon?I always have this fluffy feeling when it's her scene
I know, but it's more expensive that way for publishing
I'm not sure if you're new or just an ass, but please don't do this.
All Horizons are best Horizons, but of course it's only natural to have favourites.
>À tous les loup-garous de l'Hexagone, pourriez-vous faire une demande de traduction pour Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, s'il-vous-plaît?
>To all werewolves from the Hexagon, could you please ask for a translation of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, please?
You're asking werewolves to demand a translation to lightnovel.fr?
Pour tous les loup-garous de l'Hexagone, pourriez-vous traduire Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, s'il-vous-plaît?
I think paying a translator and marketing costs more than the actual printing of the books.
why is that guy naked and where can i see more of this anime with a naked guy in it?
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon
>Kawakami in charge of stopping writing
So whats Horizon about? If some kind anon were to spoil me a bit
https://just-believe.in Read the FAQ
It really needs more seasons, the world is just too good to leave hanging.
It's a story about skintight suits and the people in them, like all of Kawakami's stories.
>Humans make wars
>They ruin earth
>Humans get so advanced so they can rise to heavens
>They still continue to make wars and are kicked out of heavens and stripped of most advanced technology that gave them access to heaven in the first place
>"Lets reenact all human history so we will get technology again"
>But all history records are lost in the previous wars
>They get/invent Testament-device that recalls history from YouTube comments section and reddit
>Because of ruined earth, most of people start living in dimension pockets above earth while the rest are busy reenacting history on small pieces of earth that are fine.
>Wars,wars,wars and more wars
>Someone fucked up and changed history so WHAM, dimension pocket gets fucked up and falls on earth
>Dimension people invade non-dimension people in revenge and FUCK YEAR MURICAN FREEDOM is for non-dimension people
>shit load of restrictions
>Testament stops producing history @ year 1468 or something
>THE END IS NIGH
That's Horizon world history that most people are confused about
Updated just-believe.in to promote the ln.fr vote.
>They get/invent Testament-device that recalls history from YouTube comments section and reddit
I wouldn't call the concept of fate itself Youtube/reddit comments, but okay.
Also, the year is 1648.
It's a big stretch but I hope at least non-moon readers will be able to read the physical novels.
>I wouldn't call the concept of fate itself Youtube/reddit comments, but okay.
I know, it was just a joke
>Also, the year is 1648.
You're right, i fucked up on that
Bitch I bought the mecha.
Did they finally scan the 4th manga volume?
Does the author have the concept of limits?
Didn't he buy land instead of the mecha? I don't think Naomasa's up to trading her sister around.
For better or for worst-NO
He did. It just doesn't sound as catchy.
How`s the quality?
I was thinking about ordering and scanning manga myself.
>Il faudrait compter dans les 1000 ou 2000 exemplaires pour pouvoir retomber sur nos frais. Et donc 10000 ou 20000 participations. Pour être sûr de pouvoir bien démarrer, il nous faudrait donc au moins compter 20000 participations de façon à s'assurer que tout ne tombe pas à l'eau en cours de route !
They're expecting 1000-2000 sales to break even, and 20k voters to make sure their project will lead somewhere.
They already have 5760 voters.
Surely we have enough Horizon fans on /a/ to get things going right?
It's acceptable, nothing more.
A bit blurry and artifacted on the B/W pages and a bit noisy and compressed on the cover.
What's the deadline?
20k ? Very unlikely just involving /a/.
I leave it to your discretion to involve the 'others' and the consequences of that.
Hm. I guess I`m still ordering then, along with LN.
>20k voters to make sure their project will lead somewhere
That's 20k overall and not for a single option, right?
I'm not confident we could get 1000-2000 votes for Horizon, but I guess I'll try to advertise it best I can.
I don't think a deadline is mentioned anywhere.
Their project started the 2nd of October, and it took them 3 months to get 5k votes. At this rate it'll take one year, so we should advertise it on all of /a/ since no one is talking about it here: http://archive.foolz.us/a/search/text/lightnovel.fr/
>That's 20k overall and not for a single option, right?
You can check it out for yourself.
They're not nearly as bad as the V6 LN scans.
>I CAN'T FAP TO THIS.png
I'll make a thread then.
Remember me if I get banned for viraling.
...I was under impression vol6 scans on sadpanda were okay.
Vol 6 scans were made by a generous anon and they're fine now but the first scans we got (well after the books were published) from the Japanese were horrible in quality. Especially 6C was pretty abysmal to look at.
I didn't even notice those scans on sadpanda
But we're helping the industry!
We should make 2-3 threads/week for french bros.
Hope js06 translates faster so we can justify those threads
I wonder how much of /a/ demographic is french.
Always thought them to be forum-centric, rather than board-centric.
Speaking of horrible quality, I wish someone would re-scan most of the CITY novels.
>So we have source material for 5-6 more seasons.
>And it had great sales.
>What the hell is Sunrise thinking?
They are thinking they worked too hard. The fact is Horizon is only as good as it is because Sunrise did it as a vanity project; they were trying to create something that would be for generating good PR. The entire team was exhausted by the end, because this is literally the best work Sunrise could do. And you just can't work flat-out like that continuously.
We really need citations on that.
Do people even like Seijun?
Why wouldn't anyone like my waifu?
What's not to like?
Just the right timing for a thread. I'll see how far I can go today.
Ah, so you're back on track?
How could you not love that.
There is no way that it's a regular manga
God damn it Toori.
I should probably get back to editing 1B too. I haven't touched it in a month.
couldn't she just get a titjob or something? Might help with the trauma.
I would not at all be surprised if this is the case though if you have any links as >>101392521
said, they would be appreciated.
And yet it is.
How far have they gotten?
How could you not like Masazumi?
Maybe he sees the flatchest as an important part of her now.
Storywise? End of the Ep9 of season one.
At least the VAs had to try really hard.
>Best work Sunrise did.
Is this puzzle quiz?
>Not Love Live!
Voted. Pretty cool that Maoyuu was also there. Finally, those years of studying French could pay off.
Translations are still on hiatus because of Zeroblade's thesis work, I think.
And kancolle porn.
To be fair, Horizon and KanColle seem to go hand in hand somehow.
Why do I wish I was the one putting my hand there?
You're a masochist who wants to get beaten up by a lovely robot girl?
>lovely robot girl?
Isn't she a half-elf?
Kawakami agreed, feel free to bother him about it.
I'm sure he meant Horizon.
>not Big O
>not Outlaw Star
fucking 00s kids
geez, and I was thinking of importing these. how big is the stack for Owari no Chronicle? also this is missing the encyclopedia & doujins.
>It's not their fault Brits or Americans don't have as extensive animation/comic cultures.
France won't have it for much longer, now that France's anti-loli bill passed.
>how big is the stack for Owari no Chronicle?
That's the part below S1.
>Horizon's major foreign market is France
Heh, well played.
That picture isn't even close to up to date.
I'm sure that if Bitches tried to stack all these books they'd hit the ceiling.
> Not Planetes
> Not Inuyasha
> Not Unicorn
> Not City Hunter
the stack would tip over before that
Maybe that's why Kawakami went from being principally germanboo to being a german- and franceboo.
You can support it with a shelf or wall.
> Love Live
> Not the best idol show and major Sunrise franchise.
Love live is what people need right mow. Horizon and Accel World will get their turn.
>Love live is what people need right mow
It's shit, people need good anime and not shitty one.
Love Live is great tier with average sale about 28k. Your opinion does not count.
And SAO had plenty of sales which doesn't mean it's good.
Studio 8 is saving anime.
It's pretty big in Akiba, I think there was more LL shit than Idolmaster.
Your opinion still doesn't matter.
But anon, my opinion>your opinion
I find that doubtful.
Anyway, I like Love Live, Horizon, and Accel World. Horizon S3 will come eventually. No need to be butthurt about that.
Go watch youtube video of peolple walking around Akihabra. There are plenty of Love Live merchs.
Yeah first season is like a long introduction but 2nd season is where it starts and fucking glorious.
It's really annoying that we haven't got an S3 announcement yet considering it sold really fucking well.
>It's really annoying that we haven't got an S3 announcement yet considering it sold really fucking well.
That's what bugs me the most, at least they could just give us "Yes, we are planing next season"
Speaking of which, should I watch LL if I like im@s? What are the main differences?
I know it's not actually her, but it feels so wrong to see Kimi without her PLOT.
ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA
Will probably work on a second point tonight, I feel so rusty.
Yes, you should. Love Live has CG but it blends well with 2D animation so you will get used to it quickly, unless you are a massive 2Dfag that will not tolerate any CG at all. What Love Live gets in return is full body animation, rotating camera angles, full group dance, and more dance routines than im@s.
Both shows are property of Bandai and Lantis. Sunrise took part in im@s animation with A-1, so you can say that they are sister shows. You like one then there's a high chance that you'll like the other.
So most differences are in the animation and such, not in the plot or the characters? I suppose I can live with that (and yeah, I don't mind the CG). Now I just have to clear my backlog before watching it.
Take into account they are -school- idols, not professionals when you watch it, at least. Also the fact that it's only one cour.
Well i don't know the plot of im@s since i never watched it or played the games but the plot of LL is that of a school closing and what not.
This is true. Horizon is about the highest I can make it before it becomes impossible to balance.
And it wouldn't hit my ceiling for a few more years yet.
I've made my decision-i will learn moon.
Listen to this-we have to wait 2 years before next season and there are material for 3-4 seasons after that, not to mention OnC LNs.
So i will sacrifice year or two to learn moon, i already know kana, and i can understand at least 20% of anime without subs. Not to mention i have talent for languages since i already know 3
That's different enough, okay.
Best of luck, anon.
>i have talent for languages since i already know 3
Thanks, i'm gonna need that. And a lot of patience. But in the long run it's gonna be good since i will not depend on shitty translation scene.I read a lot of manga too so it's a great bonus there since i know a lot of great manga getting dropped because of DRAMA.
One question for QualityT-Anon:
How long did it take you to read Horizon and rest of LNs?
Yes, 3 besides my mother language
>How long did it take you to read Horizon and rest of LNs?
*to learn moon to read
nice gravity defying lamp
Your vocabulary and grammar are less than stellar, I wouldn't call that talent.
>actually being able to read Horizon
Seriously though, I can get the important stuff from glancing through the pages, but I'm far too incompetent to actually enjoy the literature fully. This is after three years of slow progress in learning the language.
>3/5 of a chapter left to join the translated parts of 1-A and 1-B
>no progress for three months
God dammit Mysterious Translator Synth.
I just want to see her animated, is that too much to ask?
Also she already has been.
Wow, i didn't notice that before
>these guys won't be relevant until the last volume
Who's the ghost?
That`s the big mystery. One hypothesis was she is a "princess" from LNs.
Isn't that the one the cripple and prince are raising?
Yes, but I'm interested in her identity
Occam's razor tells us she's probably just another ether phenomenon, but I guess she's going to be of some importance to the plot down the way.
>volume 7 comes out this month
No, not S3. Just the, uh. Start of the end of the series.
>Start of the end of the series.
Really?It's last volume?
Now i feel sad-whenever i finish something, afterwards i feel empty inside
Good one. They're not even close to Westphalia.
The calm before the storm.
He loves Spain too, just see how much love he poured into Tres España.
He dissapeared the same way he appeared.
No it's not, they are still in the middle ground of the story.
There was more Horizon stuff on comiket that I thought it would. Well, some of this stuff is from mandarake.
Anon you pervert.
I'll trade you scans of some of my Mary stuff for some of yours.
>One about Tomo.
What the fuck why.
Let's go then.
In order to see the location of the awakening.
I don't know if I like more "location", "destination" or "whereabouts".
Don't worry I will eventually scan everything that's not already.
>None about Suzu.
I am oke with this.
Is there PDF of volume 1?
I think not, we have ePUB, but we have to edit the middle chapters as they are a bit iffy.
Doesn't "light novel" actually refer to their writing style and not exactly how many pages they have?
It does, not that that ever stopped anyone from making that joke.
>implying that's a lot
Sure, in the amount of time it took to get written, but Guin Saga has 132 volumes. Each is 200-300 pages long. I think it's actually the longest series written by a single author in existence and anime was basically just a brief part of the prologue.
Yes, but it's a joke around here
>no love for Adele
Well, if you let Kawakami the same amount of years that Guin Saga was serialized, he will probably have a bigger word count at the end.
>mfw only like 4-5 were translated to English
Adele has the best voice.
Whats the deal with that PDF maker in baka-tsuki sidebar?
I can't figure it out how it works
I'm torn between my desire to provide more Horizon to the masses and my want to keep everything waifu-related to myself.
Scan everything you have.
>dat censor in the first episode
Seriously, what was the point?
Who knows, that was the only one.
Theres actually one for Sensei, nice.
No love for Naomasa?
I just saw this
Why Sayama is a good as a MC?
There is no such a thing as a specific best horizon.
Alright I'll bite, should I go for the source material or straight into the anime?
Anime first, source material if you want more. You need to stick with it longer than the traditional 3-episode rule to judge it properly, though, so don't give up on it too early!
Either works I guess but the last quarter of the first volume is untranslated.
Anime, not much of the LN is translated.
The first five episodes are the introduction.
I think more of Owari no Chronicle is translated than Horizon.
That's true, but there's no wrong in saying any girl in Horizon as best Horizon, surely.
You're an idiot. Keep "best girl" out of these threads, or it'll attract shitposting and waifu wars like every other series with that kind of discussion inevitably does.
LN is being translated by js06 but he is translating later volumes (and Owari no Chronicle) so 1A is finished but unedited and 1B is just unfinished.
You can watch the anime or read Owari no Chronicle too.
But that was hardly a problem when Horizon was airing since the fanbase already know the situation regarding all Horizons are best.
Because he is a fabulous and sociopatic übermensch expert on sophistry.
That was one of the funniest fights I've seen outside of JoJo.
I think that Kawakami pull gimmick fights pretty well too. Like how in 1B Fafner loses against Izumo because the latter cuts all the trees in the area with one slash, leaving only one shadow (his) to Fafner to materalize.
Damn it, I'd love to see any spanish company do something like this. Ivrea doing the Haruhi novels isn't just enough...
France is just very weaboo. Spain cannot pull that off sadly.
But that Haruhi release is shit, even the first covers are different because "they are different novels". Shitty Ivrea. They only do Haruhi and To Love-ru novels because they are profitable, but they won't throw money in something like Horizon. They only tranlated 2 good things: Welcome to NHK and ARIA (and ARIA only sold like 300 units/volume)
I'm not even spanish, I'm chilean.
I'm not sure what could be more expensive, buying translated LN/mangas from US or from Spain.
From Spain at least I got a few stores that import them, but with the ones from US I must limit myself to buying from ebay/amazon...
I think there was another edition of the first Haruhi novel that fixed that.
Could anyone explain me why every Horizon herself figure is limited/exclusive, compared to the other girls that get normal stock?
It's maybe Horizon not even considered the main heroine or what?
She is, but her figs are like that.
Well, I bought the 1st edition and that had a lot of typos. They didn't even correct them in the 2nd and 3rd edition...
And about an official Horizon translation in any western language, French has more posibilities than the rest.
Is a case where every other girl is more popular than the main one or what?
Nate is more popular, Asama and Mary maybe, the rest I don't think so.
would train throughly
Amerifat covers don't look that bad, actually. They look perfect for sale in supermarkets & superstores, where the real money is made. Unfortunately every company licensing lightnovels was never smart enough to see beyond the barns & nobles market.
That said, the French cover looks best.
Five. France has #6 translated, one of these days someone should pick up a copy and run it through a machine translator.
