Why? WHY?! WHY CAN'T I JUST GET ONE LILY DOUJIN?
>>

Didn't it get over the Manabi line?
>>
Does this show really have no doujins? That blows
>>
You fuckers really watch anime only for future doujins, don't you?

They would inevitably horribly fail at emulating the art style and characters. Hello, disgustingly proportioned titty monsters and cowtits.

Doujins are the greatest form of pornography, anon. If one understands the source material, the doujin becomes even better.

how well did season 2 sell again? and did it boost the manga sales?

They might just not be scanned.

But I heard the first anime was incredibly unpopular.

>>

There is one Aoi doujin that has never been scanned.

I watched it and I thought it was okay. Only saw the first 6 episodes though.

Never read the source material.

Blu Ray pre-order sales looked decent -- not amazing but healthy considering the budget. Can't speak for what it did for manga sales.

It looks like there's a deal where some company is buying out Tatsunoko Productions, though -- if that goes through, there's a good chance we get another season
>>
>>101381997
If you haven't already, give Hana no Uta and the other things studio tatsunoko has done with YZQ - it's all great.

The Kotoha vs Zakura fight in Hoshi no Umi is one of my favorite sequences ever.

No wonder /a/ is such a shitty board to discuss about anime. It's funny how /a/ shits on Western fanfction when they themselves sperg over Asian porn fanfiction all the time.
>>
Are we even getting another season? Or another OVA? I kind of liked it. It seems like they Haven't finished Tsuki ni Naku yet.
>>
>>101382093
I'm not even a doujin fag, but there's definitely a difference between the two

How can you say that? You don't even know the budget.
>>
>>101382258
Anonymous had mentioned something about the series being an experiment with a more cost-effective animation technique. I forget exactly what he said, but it sounded informed so I took his word for it.

Also I just looked into it and said deal from >>101382060 is in fact going through. This is a good sign.
>>
>>101382328
>>101382060
Wait, buying out is a good thing now?
Tatsunoko has consistently done great work, and now they seem to be in dire enough straits to be scooped up. That doesn't seem positive.
>>
>>101382328

sauce:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-01-29/nikkei/ntv-aims-to-buy-anime-studio-tatsunoko-production
>tl;dr: Television network that already owns Madhouse bought majority ownership of Tatsunoko in an effort to expand anime production.

S2 still unconfirmed, but the industry is booming and if it turned a profit then there's no reason not to. We might have to wait for more source material?
>>
>>101382489
I think the most we're getting anytime soon would be completing the Tsuki no Nau arc. Like you said, just isn't enough source material at the moment.

>>
>>101382453
From the sound of things this sounds like a good deal. Tatsunoko was owned by a toy manufacturer and originally was created to make TV shows that sell toys.

Now that they specialize in anime that isn't designed to sell toys, they were sold to a TV station that has more to gain by owning them
>>
BD rips where?
>>
>>101382328
Show was done the same way Birdy was, as in mostly digital by webgen animators. Episode nine was done completely without paper cels and episode 12 only had 2 key animators work on it.
>>
>>101382328
>Anonymous had mentioned something about the series being an experiment with a more cost-effective animation technique.
Yeah, I'd have to see some sort of verified source talking about this before I believe it. Sounds like baloney to me.
>>
>>101382698
Honestly, it had some of the best animation I've seen all year. Phenomenal work, really.

What I remember seeing from the pre-order threads were nothing overall impressive, but certainly not an abject failure. I think we'll see more in a year or two.
>>
>>101382453
Being sold to a television can mean better time slots, that you won't have to be worried about getting one and also that you won't have to pay for one.

But then again, it may also mean more mainstream series. Everything for the ratings. And ratings != BD sales.
>>
>>101382698
Damn thats cool, I hope this becomes a trend. Certainly beats full CGI shows.
>>
>>101382698
>>101382737
well it looked fucking great
>>
>>101382786
Volume one climbed over manabi line, but stays on the same number. Basically, everyone interested made preorder. Volume 2 is somewhere between 2 and 3 thousands.
>>
>>101383152
I hope you realise that the Manabi line is completely irrelevant for any anime besides Manabi Straight.
>>
So what do you think about the OST?
Is ツキニナク the greatest track or not?
The only one I can't find is this one http://www.animefave.net/yozakura-quartet-hana-no-utaepisode-13/ (minute 4.06)
Does someone know its name?
>>
>>101382453
I think the key thing here is NTV puts more emphasis on TV ratings rather the BD sales, hence why shows like Chihayafuru and Hajime no Ippo got greenlit with additional seasons despite not being blockbuster hits.
>>
>>101382093
western fan fiction is mostly written though(the equivalent to a romance novel). In hentai, they just fuck.
>>
>>101382556
More shows need girls with eyebags or droopy eyes.

They're usually the best girls too.
>>
>>101381501
Let's be honest, as cool as the adaption is, the manga isn't anything outstanding. Not that it's bad, just nothing special and it borders on a miracle that the manga got to get such a luxurious treatment (a friggin remake + decent budget). For whatever reason, some higher up decided to pout money into this, but as far as the source material goes, I can see why it would get ignored by the fandom.

Would be nice though to get a few doujinshi with Tongue-Witch and Catgirl going muff diving and carpet munching.

You see, fanfiction is written in the "free time" autistic mac users have between sucking cocks and yiffing, and involves pairings like Baloo the bear and the snake etc. Degenerates, if you will.

Japanese Doujins on the other hand are usually written in circles, by a hivemind of people, and most of those who make it to the internet are at least decent.
There IS a lot of shit in Doujins, just go to comiket to confirm that one. But it's easier to experience some quality.

Also reading is for faggots (i.e. elit sucks ass, have you ever had to translate that shit?!), as are western communities of any kind (which is why I'm here in the first place).
>>
>>101384750
No one?
>>
>>101383152
But did it bump manga sales? That has to be at least as important as disk sales, for shows like this.
>>
I know right? Sexiest character designs this century and no fucking doujins. What do we get instead? KanCol.

On Pixiv, your e-peen is measured mainly by how many people have used its bookmarking feature on your images.

This means you can find the most popular -- and ostensibly best -- images by adding 00 and 000 to your searches.

The reason this works is that once an image reaches (e.g.) 100, 500, or 1000 bookmarks, it's tagged with things like "_____1000users入り".

That's bullshit, say what you want about the manga but the anime doesn't give any clues or hints to that at all. The anime was heavily hinting at a friendsexual relationship between her and Kotoha though.
