Well that was fucked up. Does this show get any worse?
That's the pinnacle. The next arc is cute and fun and has a sexy brown girl counterfeiting money.
She also becomes the team sexpot. She's good.
Oh okay, I sound like a fag but those twins caught me off guard and finding out about them upset me a little.
Dude it's horrible sexually abused twins that have literally lost their gender features from years of torture at the hands of maniacs...
who then go on to continue torturing others...(abused becoming the abuser)
and when they wish to show gratitude, only know how to do so with sex. Or murder. They're literally teen/preteen complexes. They're psychos because they were destroyed by other people since the moment they were born basically. What makes their story awful is that in any other situation they probably would have grown up like anyone else.
But of course, this is Black Lagoon...
The atmosphere was just a bit bi-polar, I went into this just expecting a gritty/wacky 2hardcore4u action light hearted series. It's a bit jarring slamming that shit down on the table.
>Does this show get any worse?
If by 'worse' you mean hilariously bad scenes with point-blank bullet dodging in addition to pseudo-existentialist 'motifs', yes.
Just so you know, like in the manga...
Black Lagoon is about 70% wacky/gritty 2hardcore4u (Sawyer getting upset when she loses her voice box and putting down her chainsaw and crying) and 30% shit on the table.
The crazy speeches stay in though. Hiroe can't into philosophy at all but he can draw guns and Roannapur pretty well.
Oh no I knew that would stay, I just meant the whole unexpected pedo shit. I don't really want to be watch an anime blend of the A-Team and To Catch a Predator.
>I don't really want to be watch an anime blend of the A-Team and To Catch a Predator
But why that sounds awesome
The next arc (or the arc after that?) is about Balalaika and her crew fucking up the Yakuza and Rock's character development.
It's a pretty fun arc
This can NOT end well.
The OVA gets cringeworthy in some parts.
Beyond that, no, it's the edgiest point in the show.
I liked this animu because it was the first one I watched in ages where none of the chicks were likable. They're all either bitches or fucking scary as hell like Balalaika and Revy.
Somebody screwed you over nigga.
Every arc in Black Lagoon ends tragically or at least cynically. That's why we have that depressing as fuck ending montage to remind us that this series isn't about quirky,light-hearted action scenes at all..
Mai waifu isn't scary!
>implying she's not a fucking psychopath pretending she's normal around Rock
She kills people for fun.
I kill people for fun.
I kill ants for fun.
No,you're waifus a shit.
Not sure if I want to see the series now... Mad, hot, gross... I dunno what I'd feel.
the last arc gets pretty fucked up as well, at least the ending where the girl kills herself
I was turned on by basically all of that episode.
Except the, well, dead part. I was also sad.
Anyway the show is good and IIRC the manga is ahead if it, though. (even though it was on hiatus for way fucking long)
I need more revy being cute 0.2% of the time... (It's more than enough)
too much kuu, too little dere
>an anime blend of the A-Team and To Catch a Predator
Why do you say that as if it was a bad thing? I'd watch the shit out of that.
>Take a seat, fool.
Clearly you have no taste, most of the girls are likeable on some level.
Well... it has it's light-hearted -moments-, but it's in general a fairly dark series.
As far as the Black Lagoon girls go, she's probably one of the better adjusted ones in the series, so let that sink in for a bit.
On one hand, I'm glad that you like it, but on another, it feels kind of wrong to fetishise something that's clearly presented as a wicked, twisted tragedy.
It's pretty good though, while the Twin arc is probably the darkest part of the series (yet), the show is all in all very interesting.
Haven't fetishished anything yet (frankly I'm not even down with fetishishing Revy). It's just been a while since I've heard anything so twisted and wrong.
I don't like overly dark stuff, but if it's somehow new or interesting I would watch.
>Does this show get any worse?
How high is suicide by choice due to despair on your list?
Just asking, no reason why.
It's pretty good, but the Twin arc is about as dark as it gets, otherwise, it's not nearly as dark.
Frankly, I like it's edge.
I don't remember this happe-
Never mind, I remember deepthroating a sword
nd unlike the twins, who were abused since they were small children, and had no real chance to be at peace in the real world, the person who commits suicide is more or less a normal person pulled into Black Lagoon's world when Balalaika comes to town. Arguably, that makes it more depressing.
you're gonna need bigger bait to catch this fish
Yes, it gets worse. There are episodes full of Engrish towards the end of the second cour.
>not watching the Dub
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Pardon me for watching it fansubbed at the time it aired.
It gets better, Benny finally gets laid by a solid 7/10
This, seriously the Dub for this show was amazing.
Balkan arc when?
>not riking superior engrish
It's rike you gay
I got pretty bored of the edgy violence by the end of Roberta's Blood Trail. Oh, Revy just shot another unarmed person in the face, welp okay. I get that it's trying to show that the characters are desensitised to violence, but all it was doing was making me desensitised to giving a shit about the characters.
Didn't the majority of the US spec ops team that Roberta was hunting down actually survive though? I actually had the feeling that it was one of the less bloody arcs.
El Baile DeLa Muerte is probably the low point of the series (mainly on account of being dragged out for too long), but I think it stands a good chance of picking back up again, Hiroe just need to pick up the slack.
To me is the best arc after the Yakuza Arc
Which ones do you think shaves their private parts?
