Has anime ever inspired you to change your life, even a little bit physicaly or mentally?
Obviously It's very pleasurable to absorb a great narrative , but has it ever spurred you into action?
eg; you watched NHK and stopped being such a NEET, you watched Eyeshield 21 and actually started playing football, or you started to mimic the positive traits found in a fictional character.
I watched Log Horizon and I started playing MMOs.
I watched waifufags ruin good fanbases and swore to never become like them.
I started to mimic the ``negative'' traits in NHK.
I run to class with toast in my mouth.
Yeah. I realised, if I want to carry on watching it, I'll have to get a good job. Otherwise I'll end up like those neets in that barely have enough money to feed themselves.
I watched Welcome to the NHK then got motivated to find a job and connect more with my friends
I bought a new guitar after finishing BECK. I'm shit, but at least it gives me something to do aside from watching anime and wallowing in self-pity.
Gundam Build Fighters is making me want to try and build Gunpla (yes, I realize that is the entire point of the show) and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei makes me want to start learning Japanese so I can properly appreciate the ridiculous amount of puns used every episode.
This is pretty much the only way I tell myself that getting a real job at some point will be worth it.
I definitely wouldn't say it was entirely due to anime, but welcome to the NHK and Tatami Galaxy certainly have helped me in my ongoing journey from hikkikomori/NEET to hopefully a functional person.
I occasionally catch myself posing like a faggot after reading Jojo
NHK made me start smoking cigarettes...
and i love it ;_;
When I watched Nanoha for the first time I seriously considered that I'd prefer living in an alternate dimension as a cute mahou shoujo.
Then I realized that being Nanoha took a lot of hard work and suffering, so I went back to being lazy.
not an anime but rather the collectivism of multiple anime seen through out my life for sure has made an impact as well as 4chan.
Since OP wants to open up blogging I'll just say I really started getting into it when I became a neet, for escapism.
Sometimes when I watch a series it changes my usual behaviour by making me suddenly want to blog on /a/
It's amazing and it works every time
>what is blogging
Did you remember to sage though?
Uchuu Kyoudai made me change from becoming a NEET
I'm actually pretty built though, so it sort of works.
Gotten some weird looks.
After I watched Naruto I dedicated my whole life to becoming Hokage just like him.
It has inspired me to get in shape. But it's not really working.
Katawa Shoujo almost made me go for a run. ALmost.
