Why did this guy become some otherworld Hitler?
Ok, let's go back, way back.
You're some normalass punk and suddenly you see shit freeze around you and people getting eaten by weird shit.
Suddenly a moody loli in a trenchcoat saves your punk ass and explains somethings reluctantly.
After several events and days of you bugging her she starts trusting you and you start trusting her.
Somewhere down the road you fall in love with said loli.
But then you realize that you're freaking useless to her and since what she does is dangerous she might as well die any day.
You, being the nice, overprotective guy that you are try to get stronger, it doesn't do much in the grand scheme of things, she still fights and she still needs to save your ass.
Fed up with that shit, you ask Aizen inside your body for help.
He, being the nice and non-scheming guy that he is agrees to help.
So you follow his advice, run away, power up, lead a group of human eating monster terrorists with fancy names, kill some revenge hungry guys standing in your way.
Finally, you have achieved your goal, no one will mess with your shit now, the loli is rightfully yours!
Now go smack her shit until she can't even stand.
We call him Darth Yuuji.
What happened is this: JC Staff didn't follow the source material. Then they realized doing this screwed up what they'd have to adapt for S3, so they suddenly started following the source material.
So because of this, asshole Yuuji appears to come out of nowhere.
Why are the character designs so bad?
>Margery without makeup
>Dead Chinese girl
>That green haired normal girl
>The guy who fucked Margery
>Practically every other Bel Masque characters, especially that guy with the suit, horns, wings and sword
>Red haired normalfag girl
Think about it. If Shana would have been adapted these days, Yuuji would have, very likely, been voiced by Yuuki Kaji.
Remember how in 2009-11 we thought there was no way Darth Yuuji was gonna get adapted?
you have way more good/acceptable tier than shit tier in that list
>not Good tier
It also had something to do with the mangaka dying and it was animated so he could see it before he died and they ended up following the source material this time.
>forgetting one of the smoothest dressers in the series
Everyone one of them great.
Yuuji did nothing wrong.
You might mean ZnT right? I'm sure Shana's author is still alive.
You're thinking of ZNT anon
Yeah, everything's the fault of that shitty, fat nun.
Don't forget the God-tier EDs
she killed decarabia
Right whoops I'm retarded.
Shana doesn't have a mangaka as it's source material is a Light Novel, and I'm sure you're thinking of ZnT (which is also a LN).
Not enough fucking Flame Fuckers died, they deserved to die.
My Alone-in-oldworld Sydonay
My Professor and Dominooo
One of the few good flame hazes, the Nazi ended up dead.
The shitty nun lived.
WHAT THE HELL
I'm pretty sure the author wrote more Shana after S3 ended, and that the anime team were interested in adapting it. Considering how S3 bombed it probably won't happen ;_;
I never rooted for the 'antagonists' so much in my life. I hated those Haze fuckers.
Uh... Shana 3 finished together with the LN.
Nothing more, show over.
Why did S3 bomb? It was the best out of the 3 by far.
No fuck you it was awful
>Why did S3 bomb?
Because the Kugimiya tsundere popularity era was long over.
—J.C suddenly felt like following the source material, leaving anime-only watchers confused with events
—Way too late, it came 5 years after S2
—Last season ending together with the novels, incentive to buy BDs for more seasons no longer exists
I wish KanaHana's popularity would end already.
Starting a war and risking the whole world to create another new world , all for the one he love most and to save countless lives present and future in the old world.
The blood he spilt and will spill in the new world are worth the sacrifices. He will take it upon himself to carry the burden and pain in his long journey and quest to built a paradise where humans and Denizens can co-exist in the new world, as such is the punishment he has given himself to pay for his sins.
Yuuji was living his life correctly.
It was adapted way too long after S2, 4 years afterwards. The interest was completely gone.
There was an epilogue, and there was a spin off about Shana's predecessor
But... I was waiting all that time. SnS was my first anime so I was obligated to see it all the way through
>There was an epilogue
What happened in it?
Third season was fucking great.
>Fecor protecting that portal thing
>Yuuji demoralizing hazes
>Yuuji trolling hazes
>Bal masque being bros till the end
Ya, it didn't. But that doesn't matter anyways since S3 covered the final volume. There's the third SS volume released after the final volume, and that SS has the two chapters that serves as an after story, one focusing on the old world, and the other focusing on the new world. That would had made for a good short OVA series. Oh well.
S3 > S2 > S1
>DAT SHIT TASTE
Felt mostly the same way the first time I saw S3.
Better question is, why are Flame Haze dicks?
>Denizens leaving this realm
>Flame Haze can't have that
>why are you bothering us now?
>You want you to remember that we fucked you up before you went to the new world
>But we won't mention you fuckers again
>yes you will, we fucked you up that badly
There's no one to take over, and her popularity isn't limited to one archetype.
Her voice is also as adorable as ever.
>Ya, it didn't
Are you that anon who hates S3 because of the ending?
Ya, it did.*
My bad. Thanks for pointing that out.
Yeah it's not like the Denizens fucked them over and you expect the Flame Haze to be okay with them getting what they want?
It goes into what happened to the people who left for Xanadu, and what happened to those left on earth.
Look up SIII if you want to read the summaries.
It seemed that way at first. But they found out that there was a risk involved. Being Flame Hazes and all, risk as big as that is a no-no for them. So the few who decided to continue the fight remained and devised their own plans.
S3 was rushed as fucking shit and because JC Staff fucked over the previous seasons so many details didn't get covered. It was a fucking mess.
>someone not liking the ending of S3
I thought everyone who saw that through to the end agreed the ending was great.
Mind posting them here? That search term is pretty broad.
The Flame Haze needed to get over it, the Denizens got over it.
I would be okay with this, if this was their reason. Their reason was to fuck with them and get revenge just like the Native Motherfucker said.
This. Only nostalgiafags cared about S3 at that point much like people who watched the last season of Familiar of Zero. In retrospect neither series were ever good and I'm glad teh Rie tsundere craze is over.
Who's everyone? I hated the ending then again I thought the final arc of the series was shit.
Season 1 was pretty good
Season 2 was shit until halfway when it got decent, however they played the OP during the final moments of the fight against Sabrac and redeemed the whole season.
Season 3 was just great.
S3 was for LNfags. This has been said many times when S3 was airing. It's not friendly for anime-only watchers since they'll get confused and kinda lost. All I have to say is tough luck, man. Many who still followed SnS were here for S2. The time between S2 and before S3 aired had LN spoilers floating around. One should have read them by now.
They're too long to post here, google Shana + Hope / Future summary.
>season 3 doesn't spoonfeed the information
>animefags only don't like this
Holy shit, I fucking hate this kind of people.
What details were missing in S1 and S2 that fucked S3 for anime only fags so hard?
I only watched the whole thing recently and understood everything pretty easily.
Snake of the Festival
His reiji maigo had the snake of the festival i it and they had been talking for quite a while before s3.
I remember back when I thought JCStaff was a pretty cool studio, animating my favorite series.
Then I realized JC Staff butchers every source material beyond recognition.
The ending was still great though. Touma would approve of Yuuji's way of life.
>season 3 doesn't spoonfeed the information
More like they outright don't bother to explain shit
>S3 was for LNfags.
As someone who has read the LN before S3 it really wasn't good. In fact if you read the LN before you can't really ignore all the details and how rushed it was, I guess it's "good" because you get to see a through scenes animated but there's no weight to them given how shoddy JC Staff handled the entire series.
The biggest one is regarding Yuuji's kidnapping and what happened to him and how he and SoF met and came to walk the same path in ideals/goals.
Well, J.C. Staff omitted some scenes where SoF talked to Yuuji a few times throughout the LN volumes before the volume he got kidnapped in. It's during those talks that SoF became his confidant in telling him the secret of the world. Yuuji eventually came to understand and realize that SoF is the thing to set Shana free and stop the endless killings and fighting. So, they came to an agreement. SoF really respects Yuuji since he's perspective and figure things out quickly and has enough balls to set terms with a God and all that.
I actually thought that JC Staff did this ending correctly and I love them for it. There was no bullshit tsundere ending and Shana really grew up as a person by the end of it.
If someone couldn't be bothered to google why Yuji became a dick then they were retarded.
>People who liked the anime are not allowed to judge the quality of something they watch
No wonder S3 bombed, the only people who gave a shit at that point were hardcore LNfags
Yeah, they did not say anything about it.
But it's not that hard to understand what belmasque was trying to do after some minimal thinking.
Specially when the three eyed girl says that she doesn't understand why he chose the mystes body over the one they build.
Why did Yuji dissapear after season 2?
>You have to look up information because JC Staff were too incompetent
This is why I don;t take people who like the last season seriously.
>mfw the girl you followed for 5+ years finally got together with her beloved
It's not absolutely required if you're perspective enough and can draw connections and make logical assessments. Really, I've seen people who watched the only saw first two season plus ova and movie, and can still understand S3 without much problem.
Did this myself, if you're not retarded it's not hard to understand and follow.
>perspective enough and can draw connections and make logical assessments
Now if only that was the intention of the adaptation and not just something you made up due to JC Staff's fuckery.
But it's not hard to be logical about stuff.
Except it was explained and implanted on in the goddamn LN, the fact that you have to "use logic" because the adaptation did nothing with it just shows how piss poor the writing is.
They could have made OVAs pertaining to this sure, but it was alright.
They fucked up. So what? It's better to get the train back on the tracks then just try to drive it randomly through the fields.
Not only that, but she actually grew up! She grew up and became a fine woman!
Well yeah, it's not that hard. Though I skipped the OVA and movie because I could never find anything in higher quality.
>there will never be more Shana
I still have my old links for spoilers and summaries. I'll post them for anyone who's interested.
>Volume 16 and 17:
>Volume 18 and 19:
>Bal Masque's goal explained:
For B-T, just read whatever is done starting from volume 16 to the final volume. Volume 17's chapter 3 has Hecate going yandere on Shana.
Where the fuck is JC STAFF going to get money now?
Any of those shows have main girl Tsunlolis?
Don't tell me you haven't watched them.
They have Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi. It's the next and upcoming thing comparable to SnS, I suppose. With tsunloli and a cool MC.
>About a male student in an academy that teaches students to raise dragons. The boy's dragon finally hatches one day, and its a beautiful girl. The adventure begins.
This sounds awful
If it has a Tsunloli, I'll watch it.
You're not living your life correctly then. Also, you forgot about Hidan no Aria.
LB is done after EX comes out. I guess they could do Rewrite next.
Should I watch them?
Also I don't see the appeal of Hidan no Aria
>Both last seasons of Shana and Zero bombed
Man, it was so weird.
>Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi
Who is voicing the pink haired Tsun loli?
Is she going to be voiced by TsunRie?
You don't see the appeal of Hidan no Aria? It's fucking Zero no Tsukaima with guns.
Never mind then, fuck, I'm gonna download that as soon as I get home.
Eh, I think I read a few chapters when it came out and it was pretty bad.
Eh, it's better than it sounds. Read the manga, which is an okay adaptation of the LN, to get a sample.
She's voiced by Ise Mariya (Levy of FT and Riko of HnA)
>She's voiced by Ise Mariya (Levy of FT and Riko of HnA)
She doesn't fit at all.
I'll tell you now, bro. I don't think you'll enjoy it besides for Aria, the MC, and Riko. The setting and just the writing isn't good. But damn, if you can watch it for mainly them, then you'll get something out of it. Though honestly, HnA is so bad, it's good. So if you're fine with those kinds of series, go for it. HnA rules on rule of cool, and it's cool when it does that.
The LN are better, but you'll need to track down the archive for it since it got licensed.
We'll have to see.
Only 1 season ;_;
>Only 1 season ;_;
And they even promised S2 if they sold a little bit more BDs. Fucks.
I can stomach shit shows as long as there's something I find interesting.
Don't tell me they didn't sell enough BDs, they did sell enough, right?r-right?
>No MASTERPIECE S2
I'm pretty bummed, actually.
More than enough, they just didn't.

I must have missed this.
>no SoL of Yuuji and Shana being cute as fuck in Xanadu ever
SnS fans should check this out.
Is that the 157 page thing with Shana and the nun?
From the volume 5 manga, yeah. It's only chapter 1 to 3 though, so missing chapter 4.
The Future and Hope side story is the closest thing we have of that.
People can listen to the audio drama of Future and Hope from the Shakugan no Shana F SUPERIORITY SHANA Vol. 3 album. For summaries of Future and Hope, see: http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=4232225&postcount=4920
I wonder, how do people see Darth Yuji in Xanadu.
Is he revered as a god? as a criminal?
Damn shame the manga ended prematurely. The art was great too. Shana was qt3.14xinfinity.
I'll rewatch S3 one of these days.
God the second opening of S3 was amazing.
Unfortunately, no. The anime should had included the short epilogue using Alastor's voice right after the credits in the final episode.
Here's the epilogue:
The song far away seemed to ring in his ears.
The god of Creation felt that the ‘Arbitrary Ladder’ that preceded Him was destroyed.
It was unknown how long He slept as he silently opened His eyes.
He saw the vessel He was very familiar with, the vessel who once partnered Him.
Sometimes, he would be in the towns. Sometimes, he would be in the villages, or he would be at a place where few people reside at.
Sometimes, he would talk to kids. Sometimes, he would talk to adults, and he never discriminated between male and female, young or old.
Sometimes, he would be chased, and sometimes, others would want to take his life.
But even so, he continued to persuade, continued to persuade.
That traveller He was ever so familiar with continued his back and forth journey.
The god of Creation was unable to tell what his actions will bring.
Perhaps He would understand when He accepts the prayers and wakes up again.
The god of Creation again fell into a long sleep.
He fell into a long and light sleep, protecting the two kins that were sleeping with him, the cute son and daughter.
He gave a kind remembrance to the young lady who remained in this world, scared of being alone.
Hearing the footsteps of the contractor beside Him, who was contracted to the only god who could kill Him.
Feeling the path as their footsteps move forward…into the future.
The truth of the world was set.
Time started to flow.
Carrying Life as it started to flow.
The first OP from S3 was better, deal with it.
It was great, but not as great.
I fucking hated his long hair, it doesn't fit him at all.
I don't fucking understand anything of that.
Shana OPs are the only OPs besides the Eva and Nanoha A's ones that I know by heart.
All the OPs and EDs were good. Some are better than others though.
Light My Fire > JOINT = Hishoku no Sora > I`ll Believe = Yoake Umarekuru Shoujo > being = BLAZE = Serment >
One > Sociometry > Aka no Seijaku > Triangle
>light my fire
Mah nigga. I don't know what the first opening for S2 is called, but that was best.
Why compare EDs and OPs?
Come on, anon.
The narration is told through Snake of the Festival's perspective. The "He" that he sees glimpses off whenever he wakes up from time to time is Yuuji, who's in the new world. Remember, Yuuji's goal after having created the new world is to make humans and Denizens co-exists there, so he's going around and trying to be like the mediator who brings them together. But not all Denizens what that to happen, and so Yuuji becomes a target of those who opposes that idea.
The cute son and daughter refers to Hecate and Sydonay. And of course, the young lad is Bel Peol who's still alive. The contractor beside Him (Yuuji) refers to Shana, and the contracted god is Alastor.
Thanks for the explanation anon.
So good. My nostalgia is kicking in hard.
So now that Yuji is human, he will live another 60 years and then die?
He also lost all his powers didn't he?
Does it even matter, since the last time the reiji maigo refilled his power he said it would take in all the distortion power that it used to replenish power thus making it the last time it worked?
Forever young and kickin' with his waifu Shana.
My biggest regret is not giving any focus to Asiz or Shaher.
He's going to a world brimming with the power of existence.
He's neither human and neither Denizen. He became something else after SoF left him, his avatar. It's implied that Yuuji is immortal, so Shana and Yuuji are an eternal couple. Reiji Maigo is useless in the new world since that place is full of PoE and it'll probably never run out.
See, now this shit could have been in the anime, fuck.
Livin' the dream.
Took a lot of bullshit to get there, but I'm really happy if they're happy together.
>so Shana and Yuuji are an eternal couple
The dick in my heart is melting.
So why didn't the Cunt Hazes want the Tomogara to go away to another world where they wouldn't harm them or humans?
Because it would cause problems in the long run if they ate the humans of the new world.
Also after Yuji gave his speech many FureimuHeizu stopped fighting because lolnoreasontokillthemsincetheyallbegoninafewdays
SnS has a boatload of worldbuilding and lore with as many characters to compliment.
Unfortunately since it got stuck with J.C it was never destined to show that in a favourable light animated.
If only there was an autistic maximum otaku with Yuuji tier ambitions that would make his own studio and do a remake of all the adaptions that need to be done justice.
Real life sucks.
Pay Sunrise to get Studio 8 to do a reboot.
If only the money in this world were put to good use.
That perfect BD menu.
By Noizi Ito no less.
Was the anime adaptation that bad really?
I just recently watched it all marathoning stuff is kinda my thing, watched Season 3 complete yesterday.
I enjoyed it all a lot except for the first half of Season 2.
It was fine, the problem was the previous seasons skipping out on very important stuff.
Besides the Serpent on the maigo, what else did they skip?
>except for the first half of Season 2
You and most people. It usually always is the first half most don't like, including myself. There's value in the character development that goes on in the first half though, so it's not that bad.
Hmm, Bal Masque's overall plan. This wasn't skipped, but it wasn't made proper clear in the anime.
I can see why the first half is important and all.
But it was boring and slow compared to everything else.
Also, so much Yoshida shit, why?
Can someone tell why Yuji disappears after Season 2 ends?
He got the Reiji Maigo back, why would his existance end?
Iirc, the episodes after first two episodes had some anime original content, in particular Hecate's faux vessel Fumina. For Yoshida, I guess the staff thought she needed a clutch to get her to be Shana's rival since she was way, way behind.
Read this: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=3113
You telling me Konoe was full anime Original?
Damm fuck son.
He accepted the offer the Snake of the Festival gave him. Which involve becoming something close to a Flame Haze with him as a contractor as well as his plan to make a new world where denizens did not need to eat humans to survive.
Woah fuck, so Yuji did a contract with the serpent?
Doesn't that make him a Flame Haze?
He contracts with the God of Creation, Shana is contracted to the God of Destruction, my heart can't take this.
Hitler did nothing wrong, neither did Yuji.
Please refer to him as Darth Yuji
I like you.
Yeah, but its a little different because the Snake of the Festival is/was a denizen and a significant part of him is/was trapped in a hole between dimensions(the place where he originally try to create a new world). His contract with Yuji is very unique since they share the same body and lasts until their plans comes to fruition due the every nature of the Snake of the Festival (awaking only make wishes of denizens a reality but is more complicated than that). It should be also noted that the Snake of the Festival didn't need to offer Yuji the option for he could have taken over Yuji's existence. But he saw that convince Yuji could be far more beneficial. Afterwards you see some members of Belmasque questioning this, particularly Bel Peol (The Strategist) and some commander. Snake of the Festival basically tells them to chill because Yuji actively modifies and improves Belmasque's plans.
But anon, that's the ideal pinnacle of all romance anime.
Who wouldn't smile when the two main characters finally get together after so much bullshit?
Yoshidafags obviously but no one cares about them.
Are there people like this out there?
Who's the guy on the right?
The two dresses she gets while there do thing to my dick.
S3 was kind of a mess to non-LN readers but animation wise and detailing on the Shana x Yuuji aspects of the story, and don't tell me that scene in the last episode wasn't one of the greatest things ever.
>Shana lets out all her feelings for Yuuji
>After practically a whole season of not saying it, her legendary catchphrase: URUSAIURUSAIURUSAI
>*music intro* SOSHITE KONO SORA
That scene alone made trudging through all 3 seasons worth it. 7 Goddamn years of built up romantic tension finally burst out and properly resolved. You don't see things like that being executed this nicely nowadays.
I don't have pics/stitches of the white dress.
Someone need to get on that.
>YOU SHOULD'VE JUST ASKED
>I WOULD'VE STAYED AT YOUR SIDE ANYWAY.
Jesus fucking Christ Yes. God knows how many anime misunderstandings and plot could've been easily resolved if the characters just opened up their honest thoughts and talked things out properly.
Took them seven fucking years to get it across, but everything in S3 aside, this scene was just so satisfying.
I remember that guy that looks like MC except a bit taller, that being useless until the end.
>says Urusai once
Ah fuck here it comes
>says it for a second time
One more time shana, don't let me down
>Says it one last time
Best scene ever
Sabrac's first fight is still the best fight scene.
"My beautiful butterfly..."
>about to lose
>OP starts playing
Basically it redeemed the first half of the season.
Shana is a crappy tsundere.
The side story or whatever of Mare and Sabrac really needed an OVA. A lot of things needed an OVA for this series.
It made the second half awesome that's for sure. But I did like the event for Pheles. That was when things first got really interesting, like delicious servings of appetizer. Sabrac was the main dish.
Don't worry, 20 years down the line we might get a reboot.
It's best to close the book when the story is finished and over. The anime could be a lot better, but what's done is done and S3 ended on a better note than what most people expected from J.C. Staff.
I do hope the author will come out with another new work within 6 years though. I would love to see what story and characters he can write next.
Eh you're right, they wouln't get the OPs right anyways.
It's to be expected. LN plots in general appeal heavily to younger audiences. A lot of old fans had already moved on with their lives (their loss!) and the younger fans couldn't be assed to care about the third seasons of anime they'd never seen.
The OVAs were S2-tier so you probably won't like them if you watch them now, but you missed out not seeing them back in the day. Especially that episode with genderswap.
>Dat bodyswap ova episode
I was expecting .. more actual plot explaining stuff between seasons.
I enjoyed the OVAs
Well, the ultimate tease was that S2 ended with Yuji finally fucking picking Shana, and instead of seeing what happens after that, we got flashbacks.
Not only that, but the S3 wait was literally the worst. I haven't even finished S3. Too much suffering as a teenager hoping every fucking Comiket that there would be an S3 announcement and getting let down every time. By the time S3 rolled around my feelings for the series were dulled to a blunt end.
I hate S3 as well.
Darth Yuuji is an abusive boyfriend God Mode Sue of the worst kind.
He shits over everyone and the plot justifies his actions making everyone to flaunt him.
He's a massive Karma Houdini.
I'm not sure you can be an abusive Sue. That said, both of the characters are as good at handling their emotions as you'd expect from high schoolers and their relationship is clumsy as fuck up to the very end.
I can agree that the plot basically writes itself around Yuuji, but his outcome is to be expected. The winner writes the history books.
It's a bit of a double-standard to chastise someone as a self-insert and then lament that they didn't get their comeuppance, because both of those things are just wish fulfillment. That's how I see it anyway.
I don't chastise Yuuji as a self-insert. I don't evenc hastise him as a MC. Hell, i even sort of liked him in Season 1 despite having some pretty annoying flaws.
But the shit he did after doing shady deals with Mr. Snake just killed any possible simpathy i could feel towards him. One thing is trying to protect your girlfriend or trying to get back at her due to a disscussion an another entirely is to go beating the people who protected and helped you to a pulp and then trashing your "love" to a bloody mess. The fact this wasn't brought up and was outright ignored because "muh love" and "muh justice" only increased my hate for him.
Mr. Sanke had his plans, that's fine but it was also revelaed that most of the bullshit Yuuji did was on his own will. The guy deserved a good bveating but now he's a god mode sue so no one can touch him now.
Everything else is okay, i'm just anmgry about a douchebag getting away with being a retarded possesive-abusive faggot.
Even Yuuji thought he deserved punishment. Shame that everyone else thought he deserved praise.
It does my heart good to see that, even with all of the haters that have always been there, there are still this many people who can say they legitimately enjoyed SnS. It is, and likely will always be, my favourite anime. Just as Hayate no Gotoku is my favourite manga.
Both for a similar reason, actually - I found them myself, without any recommendations or anything. I saw the first SnS manga volume in a shop one day, LOVED the art (sankyuu, Noizi-san!), and noted the name so I could look it up when I returned home. No regrets.
For Hayate it was mostly just me browsing online for something to read, and there'd been a recent update. Title sounded interesting so I clicked it, and just couldn't stop reading.
Say what you will about my shit taste, I love this stuff.
Yuuji did nothing wrong.
I have yet to finish S3, having stopped after the first big battle that flame-haze team lost once the god of creation was revived. So everything between that and the ending is an unknown to me. So correct me if I'm out of line and that Yuuji did some bitch shit (I remember Shana getting effectively treated as a doll and getting Hecate-assaulted when Yuuji was using Alastor), but wasn't Yuuji operating on pragmatism for most of the story? As in, he bore the necessary evils of the world because it was the only way to create a paradise where the denizens could live peaceful lives rather than eking out scorned existences by preying on others?
Also, we can all agree that the OPs and EDs were ALL fucking fantastic, right? Actually, the only ED I was ever iffy on was Sociometry. And, well I guess it took a while for Blaze to grow on me, too. But Joint? Light my Fire? Serment? SO pumped upon seeing those openings for the first time. Love Being, too (particularly fond of that one because I loved the Shana vs Sydonay animation to it, so I watched it a lot).
Joint being played during the Sabrac fight was solid gold and an excellent move on JC's part. And then going all the way back to HnS for the very final battle...that turned HnS from a great opening to me into something that can bring a tear to my eye for the flood of memories it brings, being a bookend and all.
But oddly, I think my favourite songs are two that only played once each...Sense at the end of S2 and u/n sometime in S3.
But something that really surprised me was Portamento in the OVAs. I'd found that song a few months before the OVAs started being released, so hearing an older song being put into an anime shocked me. I'd always thought all anime music was created FOR the show, but then I guess in western countries they recycle a lot.
That's why hes a God Mode Sue Karma Houdinni
He spent S3 doing horrible stuff and never faced any consequence for his actions.
I love Shana but i think this is one of the worst cases of love blindness ever.
Stay tuned for the sequel where Shana wants to get a job and stop being a housewife only to get beaten into a pulp by Yuuji because of "muh love".
I think you're exaggerating too much and are looking at it from a wrong angle.
After Yuuji showed himself as SoF, Shana was set on doing her job as a Flame Haze, and Yuuji also knew that talk was meaningless, so he had to take Shana by force. There was no way around that.
SoF was the driving force, the power, and what gave Yuuji his confidence since he had knowledge given to him by SoF. Yuuji.had his own plans that coincides with SoF, which SoF knew and accepted. Most of the real efforts and praises belongs to SoF.
Yuuji's actions and decisions did caused a lot of Flame Hazes to die, but it's war. There's no hard feelings in that and it's something they're used to as tools of revenge.
Flame Hazes simply gave up after Yuuji/SoF delivered the revelation behind the grand order. There was no point in continue fighting after hearing that since their roles as Flame Hazes were more or less over and they should allow SoF to carry out his plan to make a new world where nearly all the denizens will cross over to.
Flame Hazes didn't pursue Yuuji for revenge since it's pointless. They had a clash of ideals and Yuuji/SoF's side won that and the gamble on making a new world. It's important to see from Yuuji's PoV that he cared about being punished and wanted to punish himself. He had planned on taking on the burden and responsibility for his actions and paying for it later on after his planned succeeded. He didn't want Shana to come with him since it wouldn't be much of a punishment if he can draw emotional strength from her if she was by his side.
If you read the epilogue and the Future and Hope SS, you'll see that it isn't all happiness. Though Shana is by his side, he's still taking the responsibility he intended as his punishment. So....
> housewife only to get beaten into a pulp by Yuuji because of "muh love".
Now you're trolling here.
You're silly anon. The TV Tropes terms were fine for one or two posts but I don't think you should rely on them so heavily.
Mami Kawada and KOTOKO are both performing artists under the same producer. He's been composing for VNs and anime for his whole career, so basically everything he makes is already fit for anime, haha.
>Now you're trolling here
I think it's possible that--and I recognize the bordeline-bigoted assumption I'm making here--anon is a girl. That would explain to me the point of view that really chastises Yuji as a victimizer.
So "he got away with beign a douchbag but he'll pay for it somewhere ...in teh future". Okay, that somehow fails to convince me. But don't pay attention to a simple opinnion like mine and keep enjoying your abusive-possesive bastard of a MC.
The fight agaisnt Shana may be unavoidable but he went oveboard with hte beating and then he went onto more unecessary stuff. Mentally abusing the poor girl by incarcerating her and taking away her father figure. Oh and also trying to force a "shadow marriage" with her.
Maybe douchebags who want to self-insert into abusing and forcing their feelings onto a girl can emphasize with it but i can't.
I feel bad for poor Shana having to live with a boy who is willing to trash his "love" when things don't go his way.
I see what you're trying to do now, anon. I'm sightly amused.
Don't mind me if you wish, or if this seems wildly non-sequitur. I've just been trying to figure out where the blame culture came from. I know victims of abuse are often completely unable to empathize with anyone who victimizes others or even see them as human.
>S1 - Flame Hazes are very rare, and we fight alone! If two of us are in the same city, we fight each other to the death!
>S3: Flame Hazes are organized in an army! There are hundreds if not thousands of them and they work together all the time!
Was this ever explained?
>S1: "All these denizens are in general weaker then us. No need to be around people I can't stand."
>S3: "Oh shit son they are united in a fucking army. Close the ranks defend my back before we get our ass killed!"
But the flame hazes had an information network filled with humans and other flame hazes. Those people gave information to the tomogara fighting flame hazes.
That means flame hazes worked with each other.
Not really. They walked in and asked for resources and knowledge about the area. Flame hazes in general hate being around each other so they use Outlaw to avoid it as much as possible.
That and it isn't like they always fight either. It's more that the average Flame Haze is a asshole who will clash with you pretty fast.
But that isn't consistent with Margery's flashback with the harry potter flame haze. Margery was working/friends with many flame hazes.
Shana strictly stated that flame hazes are generally individual, yet here in S3 all the flame hazes are working together, rarely any infighting, and it suggests that they have always been a somewhat organized militant group.
Yeah they are generally individual as hell. But they can work together and typically do network. Thing is most of them get along about as well or worse then Margery and the Harry potter haze. So the vast majority of the time a flame haze is alone.
That and Shana and them are special cases they are really damn powerful compared to the average so they don't work together as much just because they don't need too in general.
>somewhat organized militant group
Kind of. Outlaw organizes and keep people stocked. In full war they go full army because otherwise they would die. Even then the high Commander Sopia can't really order a flamehaze to do something they don't want too.
>YFW Chiara & Sale spinoff
215 replies and still no best ED
there's no way there's not going to be more index-related material
>they go full army
This too is strange. Flame hazes were supposed to be rare entities, usually lone wolfs that are hostile to each other upon entering their area.
Given the amount of flame hazes in S3, the entirety of season 1 and 2 should be blown out of the water. Bal'masque was in Japan the whole time, gathering/having their army ready for the grand plan. Yet there was no mention of any flame haze retaliation whatsoever outside of just Shana. Powering up Hecate, destroying a whole city 2-3 times, major high ranked dangerous tomogara, yet the "flame haze army" or "outlaw" did next to nothing to stop it.
This "flame haze army" just appeared out of no where.
