Hello /a/! remember me?
>2007 was 30 years ago
It will be someday, and you'll feel old as fuck when it happens.
It will return one day...
I remember reading Naruto on Fridays when I got home from school and discussing it the following Monday with my friend. I was a fucking faggot
Yes, I remember you. I even remember that announcement that you'll close. I actually liked that layout of that site. ;_;
somemanga was better
>You've wasted almost a decade of your life here
I remember not using one manga, yes.
I still remember when it had the white background.
>generic manga stream site
Barely, but yes.
Oh man how could I forget that site. Also somemango and somemangas
And on that day people will be waxing nostalgic over Mangafox.
I remember when that site died
there was much rejoicing
>tfw you bought the first dozen volumes
>read it the first time it appeared in SJ
>watched the first episode on Toonami
I had so much hope that it would be great.
If only I could've have seen what it would become.
>Code Geass ended in 2008
>Darker Than Black S2 in 2009
>Gurren Lagann in 2007
>Haruhi in 2006
It's shameful when I think about my pre-/a/ way of watching anime and reading manga and whatnot. Outside of /a/ the anime community is an awful wasteland full of the worst types of personalities.
Batoto is better and doesn't convert high quality PNG into low quality resized JPG
It was the home of manga.
They're encroaching farther and farther into /a/ as well. Don't let go of the last scraps of what we have.
I used to download my anime off Veoh, convert it from .avi to .mp4 and watch it off my iPod. Don't know how I haven't gone blind from all the squinting I had to do
Yeah I sure do. Good times.
>I used to download my anime off Veoh
MAH SIMILARLY LACK OF DL KNOWLEDGE NIGGA
Except it didn't even exist before One Manga closed... I think.
I thought I was the only one who did that we
I remember you as well as somemanga
Used to read entire chapters on youtube if you can believe it. Jesus I don't even wanna think about it.
there is a limit to being outrageous,anon...
Jesus fuck, I used to do this too.
I don't use batoto that often due to it being slow. I know that's partially because of the quality of the page I'm loading
Oh god why did you make me remember that? Jesus fuck I didn't know better at the time I'm so sorry
I don't even understand how that would work. Is it like a slide show?
Even when I was 11 I wasn't this stupid. How braindead can you be?
That was the day I stopped reading manga for a long, long time.
Man, I used to read FMA monthly on that site.
>tfw MangaToshokan died too
Yeah, they would show different panels instead of pages and had music too.
VeohTV was my place for streaming anime. They had a shockingly large collection back in the day. Tried to redownload it for nostalgia a few years ago but they completely shut it down.
I remember your forums
I remenber when 90% of manga where removed like mangatoshokan, that's when I moved to mangafox.
I still use mangafox just because it's the second one went to at that time.
It was a sad day. Spent days ripping stuff. Some of which I still have and haven't bothered to replace with better quality.
holy shiy, I forgot completely about that site
Forever are the forums
Go away you elitist faggot.
I can't imagine where you think you are.
I used them around the same time as OneManga died. The first time I spent any real time reading doujins was on DoujinToshokan.
Is dis nigga srs
pretty much, plus some music and such.
Now imagine doing this 50 times before finding a site like OneManga. Now that I think about it I don't know what I was thinking at the time.
MangaToshokan and DoujinToshokan were the best.
I went there after the shutdown of the main site, but it wasn't the same.
Hey man it was fun sometimes, you know good music in the background and on occasion you would get a video with 460 resolution!
Honestly I was just trying to read One Piece since they stopped printing them in my country (Denmark). Last I checked they've begun selling them again but I'm not buying it anymore since I found the magic of the internet.
There are still chapters of Mob Psycho on Mangareader being posted these days. All kinds of why.
>Outside of /a/
not really, the only reason its more calm here is because everyone is anonymous.
It's like a whole other world out there that I never knew about.
>since I discovered the magic of the internet
So this is the face of cancer these days.
Trying to get my point across in a somewhat friendly manner
>So this is the face of cancer these days
Be careful you don't cut yourself on that edge.
Yes. How could i forget.
Also, doujin-moe. Back when it was ".com".
>mfw discovering my strange fetishes for the first time thanks to that site
Goddamn it, those were easier times. Nowadays my manga has to be saved in high resolution .pngs and i only pick the best translating groups.
you ungrateful fuck should be grateful that you are born in this age where anime and manga are everywhere on the web now.
Back then we had nothing, it was rarer than porn.
Top tier forums.
Don't feed them. for some reason they feel Superior for reading, what is in essence, a comic slightly different than you. basically; they're retarded.
me too anon
Theres still a bunch of doujins floating about on youtube
>remembering when eyeshield 21 finally ended
that brings me back
And I spent it all with you lot instead of doing something useful with my life. Thanks.
(No, really, thank you.)
>Constantly trying to download episodes of anime on Kazaa
>Never ended up being the full episode/was just porn
OneManga.me isn't the rebirth of One Manga? Never cared enough to look for an answer, just assumed since it says Forever One Manga
Doesn't really matter, it died after whoever was in charge decided it was enough and simply stayed a forum and people just went their own way.
It's less of a rebirth than a forgotten legacy that no one bothers anymore.
Are you me? I spent so much time there, faping at all their stuff before I even knew what a doujin even was.
I thought I had seen it all but I guess at the age of 30 you can still learn new things.
Go back to reddit.
>implying they aren't all owned by the same cartel of chinks
Superior successor ahead of its time. Man the laayout and manga reading was amazing.
I just found it to remind people how good somemanga was before it got taken down because idiot admins advertised it and spread it too much before going private
They had the option to download the original file there. I got a bunch of logh there quicker than I would have gotten it through torrents
>Outside of /a/ the anime community is an awful wasteland full of the worst types of personalities.
oh you mean half the board being waifu threads?
>what is your waifu
>would you let your waifu x
>your waifu is bad mine is better
or that this is an Anime and Manga board but there are about 3 or 4 manga threads on the entire board at any given time?
yes next time I look at someone talking about how much they want to lick a cartoon drawings feet I will just get a feeling of pride at how amazing this board is
>outside of /a/ the anime community
the thread OP is about a manga streaming site talking about manga yet the anime faggots think it's about them still. Do you realize manga exists? I know that word is so unfamiliar with most of you I know it even causes most to panic
>oh my god A PICTURE BOOK
the strain on your minds just at the thought must be tremendous I'm sorry for putting the extra load on a structure that isn't certified to handle that much weight.
Why why why if you really think this board isn't one of the shittiest on this site I'd recommend you check yourself into a mental hospital because you are experiencing heavy delusions and I'm worried for the safety of you and those around you
You're free to leave at any time.
What, never heard of punctuation?
>Cut off one head and two more shall take its place
I wonder how the people who closed it down felt when they hastened the spread of the disease?
What the hell is the point of trying to start wars between "animefags" and "mangafags?" Who the hell only watches anime or only reads manga? I honestly think it's some shitty trolling attempt whenever I see people pushing this stupid idea that there are people who read manga and there are people who watch anime and these two faction are at war. Fuck right off with that bullshit.
You tried. Go rest your brain for a bit, that's too much for a knuckle-dragger like you.
Plenty of people only watch anime or only read manga.
damn, I used to go there for faps along with fakku
any of you nigga went on aerisdies?
>Be in highschool
>They provided macbooks for students to take home
>School wifi blocks all manga sites except one
>read like 50 series on fucking cuppajoescoffee
>So slow that I had 10 manga open at once to switch between load times
I hardly watch anime. I think it's because I can't sit down for 25 minutes straight. Every time I try I would pause and do something else.
I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of anime I've watched.
Look up brosis.swf
I first started reading manga on this site. The very first manga chapter I read online was from One Piece, where Luffy beat the Minotarus in the Impel Down arc.
I didn't recognize the art at first, because I've previously glanced through a One Piece volume and it was way back in East Blue. The jump in art quality startled me at the time, but I got hooked fast. Then I picked up Fullmetal Alchemist when Roy was about to fry worm-Envy, and things snowballed from there.
Why must this be?
Anyone remember this one anime site where the main color was orange-ish and to watch anime series you had to go to the side and they would have a general for series that had two under the same name? I'm trying to remember, it shut down 4-5 years ago.
Why are you even bothering? It's obvious what kind of board /a/ is. Don't waste your time.
>30 years ago was 60 years ago
This was the only unblocked manga site when I was in elementary school.
1983 was 31 years ago.
60 years ago feels like it was yesterday
>we won't be hosting manga anymore
>BUT YOU SHOULD STILL STAY ON OUR SITE!
>mfw this is actually going to be true very soon
yesterday was 10 years ago
