So at what point does a show slip from being a show with fanservice in it to being a full blown ecchi show. For example a number of people have commented on the increasing fanservice in ZSZS at what point would it reach critical mass and become a ecchi anime
Pic unrelated maybe
ZSZS has definitely too much fanservice. A little tasteful flashing in ironic manner was suitable but now it's like the whole focus of the show is on the constant hikkiservice.
Indeed it has a fair bit. MPD Girl was suppose to provide the regular dosage of fanservice and I was okay with that but now everybody's in on the game but despite this I don't think it has reached the point where it's primary draw is fanservice of course lacking subs fanservice is given more prominence than it's meant to
This is not a problem.
But there's no sex in ZSZS.
Sure there is.
It is kind of distracting. Needs moar humor
It is if the plot takes second place to pandering to the fans
So if there was sex or implied sexual activity you'd be of the opinion that it was all about the fanservice eh
The thing that SZS need is actual romance instead of the constant fanservice.
lots of namefags here wow lol

SZS is an anime which parodies, romance/slice of life/harem anime, hence there will never be any romance in it (unless it's a jest).
I'd say that there is pretty stable romance/rivalty thing going on between certain characters.
I'd say that the whole series would gain way more depth if it got a little deeper in the relationship department.
DERP. It's not meant to be deep you idiot.
SZS is a gag anime. It will never develop it's potential relationships outside of parody.
The recent rise in fanservice is designed to be both tantalising and ironic.
Well, DU-fucking-UHH, retard.
I'm not saying that it should be "deep" like EVA or stuff like that. It's just that now that the characters are introduced a little devolopment here and there would be nice. Also what would be better way to ironise romance anime clichés than actual romance.
Fansub note:ecchi means sex
Anoymous is alright but since another user was insistant that a thread they didn't like was being kept alive by one user posting repeatedly it's become clear that as limiting as a name is it's probably the better option
As for romance in Zetsubou I don't see it happening even assuming you're of the strong opnion that it's a harem anime which I believe it isn't you can't deny that Itoshiki certainly isn't reciprocating. Outsidse of the teacher student relations there's about 2 pairings that's shirt lad and his fan, bald guy's seeming lust for Abiru and the aggrophode and mini despair not exactly great romance material
I consider evangelion ecchi.
I see well I was under the impression it referred to anything in which the primary draw is the objectification of the assorted female characters eg Ikki Tousen although I suppose there must have been some sort of plot in there somewhere.
Strange. I was under the impression that sex in anime makes it a hentai.
