Reminder that anime actually was better in the past and it's not just nostalgia.

I'd disagree except for the fact The Slayers, and the original Ghost in the Shell anime exist to prove you correct.

False...
I hadn't watch Cowboy bebop since I was 15 and I re watched it a couple years ago at 21. It was almost completely fresh to me and it solidified it's place as my favorite anime.
Stop hating, this anime is legendary. Not liking popular things doesn't make you cool.

Who are you quoting, oniisan?

The four generations of otaku:

1. People who watched Space Battleship Yamato, Gundam, etc when they were younger. This generation is notable for its sci-fi fanaticism.
2. The generation that lived through an already grown otaku culture made by the first generation.
3. People who watched NGE as they were growing up.
4. People who watched Azumanga Daioh and similar shows as they grew up.

Although there is no fifth generation, one can only assume that it will be like the second and breed off the results of the fourth, which have its roots certainly back through at least the age of the second generation.
