Hey, I was wondering what software you guys use to download manga. Up until now, I've been using Free Manga Downloader but it's stopped working for me. A quick google search has nothing but shit software. Any recommendations?

I usually just click the download link

It still works, problem is it's unstable.

Yeah, I wanted to read Gintama but I cant download more than ten pages of the first chapter. I'm looking for an alternative.

Try downloading from another source, I usually use Batoto and KissManga as fallback.

if you can stand watermarks DomdomSoft Manga Downloader should be enough. for small registration fee you can also unlock watermark-less sites and watermark removal

it's handy because it can convert downloaded chapters to lots of formats

This. Otherwise I hear #nibl on rizon might be the new #lurk. Failing IRC you always have mangatraders if you enjoy a bunch of manual work.

My internet browser. I click on links and archive files with whole chapters appear on my disk. Followed by my IRC client.

Usually a DDL link from scanlation sites or over IRC.

Torrents as well if it's an old series that can be found on BakaBT or the like.
