So did the egg represent the girl's innocence?
I don't think anyone has managed to analyze this movie in a way that everything makes sense in a single way.
Truly, a case of 2deep4me
it represents a literal egg
No, it represented an egg.
>men throwing harpoons at the shadows of giant flying invisible fish
It represents a bowl of eggs.
It represents hope.
Truly an amazing minimalistic movie. Reminds me of some of mine dreams that makes no sense, yet reminds me of something long forgoten.
But I still really enjoyed it.
But did she lay that egg herself?
In some eastern traditions of Christianity Jesus is symbolized by a fish. The harpoons could represent the piercing of his side therein.
Or something like that.
I'm pretty sure she said she found it around the fossilized angel.
Plus, the thing was bigger than her head.>>101326798
I've read that it's about faith or something. Who knows or even cares, really.
>That scream when she finds the broken egg
I actually jumped. But I really want this guy to direct something again real soon
The real explanation is: since women's vagoo smells like fish, it represents the loss of virginity.
Same for me. It gives me shivers.
I get that the guy who broke the egg was a messiah type character, hence the bandages on the hands and shit.
I never reallly understood the floating ball/vessel at the start and end of the film, though.
Is her denture falling off?
I think innocence probably has a lot to do with the egg, but look at the eggs that "grew up". They were hideous, yet still dormant creatures. As well as the skeleton of the full grown bird (or angel? or is the girl the titular "angel"?), that the man seemed to be interested in.
I find the ambiguity behind whether or not the man did the girl a favor by breaking the egg quite interesting. The big death ball probably suggests not I guess.
If this thread doesn't die I'll post some gif later.
Best hair animation I've ever seen.
Shame the Eastern animation companies won't make shit like this again
You have to break an egg, if you want to know what's inside.
The egg represents the egg.
Time for balut.
