Why does this not have an anime adaption yet? It is not only Fukumotos best work, but suited for wider audiences too as it has not only suspension and drama but also humor.
It's my favorite manga but I don't see it being adapted ever. Manga usually only get adapted to promote the manga, and although there's a 2nd Kurosawa series it doesn't have the sort of broad-appeal that'd make an adaptation worthwhile. The only reason we even got Kaiji 2 was because of the 2nd movie.
Kurosawa does make a cameo in the OP of Kaiji 2, that is the best you'll ever see of him animated. As much as I'd love to see this animated it won't be.
You are better off hoping for Zero to get an anime sometime. It'd probably do rather well.
How the fuck am I supposed to know?
>Fukumotos best work
I bet you haven't read Ten. It is less accesible, but it's hands down his best.
It's my favorite manga too, you have great taste.
I read it last week and it really suprised me. I was expecting 11 volumes of awkward gags but it was really touching.
Too bad the ending was ruined with the sequel. And >>101326251 is right
It's not that great.
Where can I find the sequel?
No one is working on it.
Good post :^)
I'm not trolling. I really didn't like it.
Sure, it was a decent (probably a 6/10, if I were to express it with numbers) read, but I think it is one of the most overrated manga on /a/.
I agree it's overrated, but it's better than just decent.
It was really boring and didn't make me sad one bit.
After I finished it the only thing I was left with was the thought that I wasted my time.
It didn't make me sad either, but the story was good, and Fukumoto knows well how to convey feelings. I can't do anything if you didn't like it though.
So a sequel has been confirmed? I have mixed feelings on this, since Akagi is coming to an end, I feel as if this might take its place but at the same time it does really ruin the ending of the original Kurosawa.
It's definitely overrated and I don't even think that it is FKMT's best work, however, it definitely isn't shit. The story was rather good to be honest.
I have no idea anon, Kurosawa is one of the best manga I have ever read.
I can see them making it as a live action series. Damn, that'd be pretty good, shame the Japanese can't do live action for shit.
How can one man be so suffering?
I cried while reading this for the first time.
>not about little girls or at least women
No chance in hell.
>and then he goes and dies
Pretty much this. Even though it's a much better story about loneliness and depression than NHK, the lack of a qt3.14 heroine keeps the studios at bay.
I'm pretty sure Madhouse has the rights to Fukumoto's stuff. That or nobody wants to try to adapt his style besides them.
It is pretty wasteful with pages and the whole school deliquent thing was eh.
Good tough that it is a thoughtful slice of like without unneeded shit about the opposite gender.
>It is pretty wasteful with pages
That's FKMT's style. It let's him transmit feelings very well.
Because it isn't earmarked for a film adaptation. That's the reason Kaiji was made.
Kurosawa was boring.
