How many Best of the Decade lists will KLK be on?
Madoka aired in 2011, otherwise it's a very weak decade
It won't even be on Best of the Year lists.
If its a top 10 list of this decade 2010-2020 as of now it doesn't even make it on.
0. Only remarkable thing about this show is all the shitposting surrounding it.
So what of the currently aired shows does, then?
I'm genuinely curious, not looking to argue.
what most show miss is that they try to make an animimated show to be serious and dark, why not make something thats completly out of this world and let your imigination take over. i mean you take on a form of media that you can do everything with. why the fuck would you stay with in your high school episodes. MAKE SOMETHING COMPLETELY CRAZY AND BADSHIT INSANE. and well KlK delivers that
*sigh* triggerdrones everyone...
House of Five Leaves
Panty & Stocking
Tantei Opera Milky Holmes
Shinryaku! Ika Musume
Kill Me Baby
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Girls und Panzer
Yama no Susume
Nazo no Kanojo X
Otona Joshi no Anime Time
Space Battleship Yamato 2199
Non Non Biyori
Kill la Kill
I guess it makes it somewhere in the Top 30 or so of the decade so far.
What exactly does that have to do with 'triggerdrones'?
jesus christ what kind of autistic fuck are you to write all that out
>write all that out
You don't have a list of best anime of the decade prepared?
He has a point, anon. >>101324648
You really should come to /a/ prepared next time.
You have shit taste anon.
Nah that is you mate.
>rating PSG over Kill la Kill
Those aren't in any order.
Actually correction its in roughly chronological order.
If I ever do one, definitely will be on there, probably in the top five or ten. Future seasons will tell. Not really a revolutionary show, but it manages to make a lot of its flaws entertaining (episode four) and is the most Go Nagai thing ever made not made by Go Nagai in recent years.
I really hate you for posting that. It just wasn't worth to effort to scroll my cursor over it.
>Go Nagai thing ever made not made by Go Nagai in recent years.
Dororon Enma-kun Meerameera
This show is what japanime looked like, and what it should still looks like.
>You now realise we are already nearly halfway through the decade
>We are already in this decade's 2004
>Feels like yesterday 2004 was much closer than 2014 and 2014 felt like some futuristic date
>1998 was 22 years ago
This is very erotic question, I think for a long time.
Go home eww you stink with shit
>1998 was 22 years ago
Back to school pleb
I'd say about as much as Death Note was.
Which is sadly, a lot.
>1998 was 22 years ago
But I'm only 20 and I was born in 1993
>1998 was 22 years ago
Stop scaring me you stupid faggot
your brain must be animimated for you to like this pile of horseshit
The fact that I myself don't have a list and thus came to /a/ unprepaired mixed with a bit of sleep dep.
I think I'm just tired.
Why are you talking when your favorite anime probably is Code Geass, Steins Gate or To Aru ?
You do know KlK is set in a highschool, though?
The first part is, the second won't be.
>or To Aru ?
Your new is showing
maybe 69, haha. 420? 1488? not sure
why do you sound like those are the only 3 anime you know of?
Are you trying to say any of those shows are animimated?
I can smell the grease from your post as you typed it with your fat hand sausages
Those 3 shows are particularly overrated by the /a/ pleb. Don't get me wrong.
Get out normalfag
I don't understand what in that list would indicate fat hand sausages beyond watching anime.
>talks about overrating
go back to MaL, gaylord
>the second won't be.
It already is in the second half, and apparently they are going back to school. If you posted this one week ago I would have believed you.
The only people who make those lists don't have any right to talk, so why bother asking?
Did you even watched episode 16 ?
As someone who likes KlK, none
It's good but not THAT good
But then then this clearly bait
You can tell its a weekend.
Yes, yes I did, did you?
Okay I can't take you seriously.
It's pretty so-so with only some slight flashes of brilliance. The show's heavily stylized presentation occasionally works against it, as the frequent shortcuts in how scenes are animated, the art direction's forays into the realms of the cartoonish, and the frequent occasions where character's mouths don't even move when they speak, only serve to break the audience's engagement in the program's content, instead of strengthening it. As a result, it's rather difficult to care about the characters or happenings in KLK as it persists in constantly reminding you how unreal everything is that it divorces itself from being even remotely relatable.
The characters are incredibly stereotypical and broad with a protagonist who's practically a cipher to whatever "crazy" plot point the show tries to make. While presented as a rather headstrong lead, her goals are muddled, as are her viewpoints on what's going on around her apart from flabbergasted disbelief that would make even the most button down of straight men shake their heads in aggravation. The antagonists fare no better with shallow motives and even more generic personalities. This wouldn't be so bad if they weren't constantly recycled throughout the show itself, betraying Kill La Kill's high energy ambitions with rote repetition and schemes that take forever to manifest with little pay-off.
Kill La Kill was originally conceived as a pure action show, and this becomes immediately apparent with its clumsy attempts at drama and poignancy. It's a hodgepodge of contradicting themes and morals, unsurprising given its creators, but one comes under the impression that they should've known better by this point. There's a plot twist a little ways past its midpoint that tries to be shocking when it comes off as being contrived instead. That KLK takes itself too seriously might be it's biggest flaw.
Homage, Parody, and satire are among the things KLK purports to be. Clumsy would be more apt a description though.
Its one of the worst shows on that list but its certainly one of the better in terms of the 400 or so anime that will have aired since 2010.
KLK is a flavor of the month anime as of now. The only thing that sets it apart as far as I see is the over-the-top nature. We still have 6 years to go. For me, it's my biggest disappointment of 2013.

Whoever wrote that is a massive pleb with little idea about animation.
I won't care. It's my favorite show, that's all that matters.
What are you intending to demonstrate? Good animation is not necessarily fluid, realistic or detailed.
The problem is the blurry line between stylised and lazy
>That KLK takes itself too seriously might be it's biggest flaw.
> KLK takes itself too seriously
Stylized animation is not necessarily any less effort than 'typical' which you seem to be wrongly implying to necessarily be the case.
>Tantei Opera Milky Holmes

>Kill Me Baby
>Girls und Panzer
>Yama no Susume
>Nazo no Kanojo X
>Otona Joshi no Anime Time
>Non Non Biyori
All these are garbage.
Your taste is garbage.
I forgot Chihayafuru 2 there, my bad.
It tries to add weight to the characters' stories and motivations when most of its time is spent showcasing how ethereal and cheap the whole production is. How are death, injury, and defeat supposed to carry any weight when characters are tossed about like rag dolls and even normal people without life fiber equipment get hideously injured, only to bounce back moments later?
Jinrui is the only show in memory that deserves a spot.
Sure, buddy. Just keep...thinking that.
>How are death, injury supposed to carry any weight
Nobody died or even got injured. What are you taking about?
It is a fact not an opinion. You can draw incredibly complex stylized animation and therefore it is not necessarily the case than stylized animation is less effort.
holy shit, been a long time since I last read so much garbage here on /a/
>If you hate KLK you are IRC/MAL/newfag
>If you like KLK you are a trigger drone
Every KLK thread ever till the end of time.
That's the point. The stakes are non-existent, but KLK keeps insisting that there's danger by virtue of building its story around one of the two on-screen fatalities so far.
None, KlK is average.
no, it's excellent
Disappointment of the decade, maybe. The only good thing about it thus far has been the OST. Shitty asspull fights that result in nothing happening got old around the first 4 devas fights, i dropped it in ep15 since Senketsu getting torn to pieces turned out to be another gimmick power boost for Ryuuko rather than anything meaningful. Shit gets old.
Its's not even top ten of 2013.
All of them.
No, stop this. I'm really enjoying it, but it's far from even being AOTY.
