Episode 16 is fucking amazing, I won't argue that. I have one problem though.
What the fuck is there forced drama at the end for? Why is Ryuko being a whiny bitch all of the sudden?
She knows that basically its the apocalypse if COVERS takes over and that she and Senketsu are probably the only force strong enough to stop it.
And Tsumugu knows that too, and yet he's trying to kill Ryuko now?
They always fell the need to end each episode in a suspenseful way.
I much rather prefer when already "revelative" episodes end in a enclosed way and leave more room for reflection.
He isn't trying to kill her. He's just rising the situation same as Ryuko.
>Why is Ryuko being a whiny bitch all of the sudden?
Probably because she has all of this responsibility foisted upon her from her dad, NB, etc. Her goals had always been personal, but other people are saddling her with expectations and such, NB is basically piling all their problems onto Ryuuko when she didn't really give two shits about their struggle to begin with.
OP, have you not noticed that Ryuko basicly gives 0 fucks about anything not close to her? She has no interest in the worries of the world - she ignores them outright.
She just worded her reasoning poorly. Everyone's talking about Senketsu like he's just a weapon who's only good for fighting and killing, but she knows he's a living, sentient being that can make his own decisions.
Also, (this part is more speculah, but,) when her dad called her home she probably thought he was gonna start acting like a parent, but instead he was just gonna ask her to become a superhero, so she also feels like just a weapon to some degree.
I'm still wondering why they had the scene where Ragyo finger bangs her daughter
A) Chakra massage.
B) To hint that Ragyo is taking over as primary antagonist because the previous one is putty in her hands.
