>In the system of Thelema, Choronzon is the Dweller in the Abyss, that great spiritual wilderness which must be crossed by the adept to attain mastery. Choronzon is there as the final obstruction. If he is met with the proper preparation, then he is there to destroy the ego, which allows the adept to move beyond the Abyss. If unprepared, then the unfortunate traveller will be utterly dispersed into annihilation.

So is it Touma or the Invisible Thing that's Choronzon in your theory? In terms of role Touma would make more sense given his treatment of the Invisible Thing, but Crowley seems more interested in the applications of IB than Touma as a person.

The Invisible Thing I think. It's supported by this at least.

>“…Why?” Fiamma muttered. “I could not do it. I should have had the power needed to save this world just like the Son of God. And yet I could not do it.”

>“It was not an issue of the type or amount of power. It was nothing more than an issue of how you used it,” Aleister Crowley said in disinterested voice. “My theory is that the age of Christian spells came to an end upon the completion of the Book of the Law. I actually think you did quite well. And that includes your objective of becoming The One Above God. If instead of the Aeon of Osiris…that is, the laws under the control of solely the Christian Church, you had formatted it in the Aeon of Horus that lies beyond it, you may have had your eye on a position similar to mine.”

And this.

>He was recalling whatever it was that had flowed out from within when he had severed that boy’s right arm.

>“What was that?”

>“I’m sure you know,” he responded as if spitting out the words. “Other than the fact that the format you were basing it on was much too old, what you were trying to do is very similar to my plan. They are both the idea to change the world by preparing a temple filled with strange power, drawing out the power of the right arm within that temple, and readjusting the thickness of the phase itself with that power. How is Academy City different from a small world that has sealed a certain type of power? You just need to look at your own actions from a different viewpoint. Just by doing that, you should be able to understand the true nature of that power. …If you had succeeded in doing that, you may have reached our goal before I did.”
>>
>>101286159

>>
>>101286660
Heaven is also called a "phase" that Gabriel returned to when Touma punched it, and Othinus called Heaven a phase in NT 9, so i'm guessing yeah.
>>
>>101286754
I wonder how that relates to Othinus' filters, if at all. Are the phases just aspects of the filters, or are they the true worlds that lie below all the filters? I feel like the latter would be the case given Othinus' talk about Crowley wanting to access the pure world via SCIENCE, but that doesn't quite seem right somehow.

>“I haven’t had a bath in a while. You can’t detect your own scent, so am I starting to smell?”

>Kamijou’s eyes suddenly opened wide.

>“You fool!! If you think you can force the situation into a public bath scene, you are mistaken!!”

>“…What?”

>“I won’t fall for that trick again! Do you think I like having my head bitten by that glutton every single time!?”

>“I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, but be quiet. We’re trying to remain hidden.”

>With a question mark floating over her head, Sozty tried to get Kamijou to restrain himself.

>She then brought her upper arm toward her nose.

>“But it might be hard to stay hidden if I smell too bad. Hey, I can’t tell how I smell, so you tell me.”

After the Othinus scent thing in NT9, I remembered Kamachi also had this scene. The scent of brown girls who haven't bathed for a while. Thanks Kamachi.
>>
>>101287230
You forgot this one.

>“Misaka arrived slightly before you returned, but the high temperature had caused a high level of perspiration. That substitute owner of the room wearing a white nun’s habit suggested Misaka take a bath, so she took her up on the offer, says Misaka in a long explanation. …? Why have you fallen silent? asks Misaka while tilting her head. Misaka cannot imagine why you would be blushing and averting your gaze, says Misaka as she stares you directly in the face and asks you a question.”

>“Um…” replied Kamijou while frozen in place.

>Misaka Imouto’s thighs were bared below the baggy T-shirt up to a place very, very close to their base. And she had just taken a bath, so her skin was slightly flushed and she smelled of soap.
>>
>>101287298
There's also this:

>After hesitating over whether to move closer to or farther away from Kamijou, Mikoto shouted out in desperation.

>“~ ~ ~! Wait for me, Gekota!!”

>She approached in one go so that her shoulder bumped into Kamijou’s. Their shoulders brushed together and Mikoto tilted her head slightly so it rested on Kamijou’s shoulder. That allowed both their faces to fit cleanly inside the cell phone’s screen.

>Meanwhile, Kamijou started to wonder why she had gotten closer than necessary and his body tensed up slightly at the scent of her hair.

>Mikoto didn’t seem to realize this. She then took the pencil from Kamijou and started writing down the answers, almost completely leaning on Kamijou while doing so. Kamijou could smell a slight faint scent of shampoo from her.

>The scene that Kamijou saw gave him some slight breathing problems.

>The first thing that came to mind was the slight breathing sounds.

>Following the breathing sounds, he saw the girl sleeping peacefully on the bed.

>The girl had an age of about fourteen or fifteen, long silver hair, and white skin. She was tiny in stature and light in weight, but her body temperature seemed to be higher than a normal person’s. Even though nothing like cosmetics were applied, her skin still gave off a sweet and light aroma—one of her personal traits.

I looked it up, but I didn't see any mention of him being the board chairman in Volume 1. There is this however:
>“Based on Crowley’s Moonchild, we will use the method of capturing an angel to create a chain of events that will summon, capture, and have a fairy work for our ends.”
>angel
>fairy
>>
>>101295806

Motherfucker
>>
>>101295114
And you would have called it an asspull if otherwise.
>>
>>101295806
>capturing an angel
This probably refers to the method of summoning AIM entities, but what is the fairy referring to? Aiwass?
>>
>>101295806
> Moonchild is a novel written by the British occultist Aleister Crowley in 1917. Its plot involves a magical war between a group of white magicians, led by Simon Iff, and a group of black magicians over an unborn child.
Does this count as a grimoire?
>>

>>

>>
>>101296098

>>

No, but now its slowly killing her.
>>
>>101296119
Then maybe you fucking should?
>>
>>101296160
But you can't just create an angel
>>
>>101295422
Chances are high this time because Othinus will have no place to return to other than where Touma lives, and the Will is going to stick with him until he can be happy.

Tsunderefags be damned, their shitty archetype is stale and brings the series down.
>>
>>101296268
It's actually pretty simple.
Get Telesma into a container.
There. now you have an angel.
>>
>>101296098
It wasn't an actual summoning. Just a gathering of mana
Had something to do with Undine and Cherub.
Gabriel, perhaps? I mean, he's associated with water(undine) and is said to keep watch of the Cherubim.
>>
>>101296268
It wasn't a fucking real angel, it is just part of the ritual, something to represent someone giving their "miniature temple" a blessing and make it "connect" with Komoe's room.
>>
>>101296377
And Othinus already has a school uniform ready. I bet Crowley gives her sanctuary in AC. He has been quiet during all of this shit. Keikaku abounds.
>>
>>101296395
And if you don't have Telesma, a bunch of AIM fields all connected in sync will do the trick.
>>
>>101296679
How the hell is Crowley going to get away with that without pissing off the rest of the world I wonder?

Laura will probably go right for the attack if that happens, although Crowley might be planning to let Touma take care of that problem.
>>
>>101296395
>>101296443
I expressed myself incorrectly, you can't create a new angel, you have to call the telesma of one that already exist, a better question would have been whose telesma was used in the ritual

>>101296398

>>
>>101296781

>>
>>101297159
>>101297297

because I don't think that counts as non-elemental Telesma
>>
>>101292644
Not exactly pointless, per se, it's just that Othinus had a Plan B not involving a holistic ESPer in the event that she was unable to get her hands on one.
>>
>>101297584
And a plan C, and a plan D which were pointless anyways because she didn't need them
>>
>>101297744
Well, yes, but I think she would have preferred not going the "100% failure" route. She couldn't be certain such an event would happen in the first place.
>>
>>101298153
Plus apparently 100% failure is not healthy.
>>
>>101298153

There are many different filters or phases that currently exist at the same time (heaven and hell were stated to exist simultaneously). Since Aleister is supposed to be attempting to change the "pure world", readjusting the thickness of the phase might be able to actually merge that phase into the pure world, which, in Fiamma's case, was pretty much the same as turning the world into heaven.

I don’t fuck around with your Dark Side with new weapons I saw two years ago.
I don’t need to go participate in experiments to fight against Kiharas all over again.
I’ve got fuckin' overpowered applications of the awesome abilities you haven’t even heard of, and additions for said powers being injected into my AIM field so I can calculate entire SYSTEM on them.
Go protect your loli whose fealings are fake anyway, I have a wide range of acceptance and rule the fucking every fetish.

>Following that exchange, Mikoto attacked Kamijou with her full arsenal, but Kamijou negated the whole with his right hand. This time, her attacks did not end with Railgun. Her offenses ranged from twisting together collected iron sand to create a whip-like sword of steel, to sending powerful electromagnetic waves to mess with internal organs, to even finishing with a blast of real lightning from the sky.
Touma also makes various references in the first volume to the fact that IB can negate her Railgun.

So, does anyone else think Will-chan might intervene in the current Railgun manga arc? Gensei's goal is to force Mikoto into a state of level 6 by stoking her subconscious rage towards Aleister. Seems like the perfect opportunity for Will to show up and give her the kind of pep talk she gave Touma. It would give some pretty nice closure to the whole clone thing, anyway.

That would be pretty nice, but only if she appeared looking like 9982, right down to the gekota pin.

#0 != #00000. Dolly is an actual prototype, rather than something like Full Tuning (which, from the name, might have been used to fine-tune the clones). Full Tuning was "cut off" from the network, which implies that she was part of it at some point in time.

>>
>>101335005
I'm guessing Laura won't try anything beyond attacking her with the long range magic stuff. Kakine has the best chance of getting in a dickass attack at the very end, then getting his face punched in.

As for Aleister, considering his relative inaction against her, he is planning something. He will probably take her in, since someone pointed out that mention of a fairy in some of Crowley's stuff. Either she will be wounded by someone, or the fairy spell itself will drive her to the point where Aleister will be their only option to saving her life. It will also allow Touma to return to Academy City and probably piss off Laura enough for her to launch her "take over AC, then the world" scheme.

It is up to Amakusa to clear their name while they are hunted down by their implacable examiner, who believes they're the ones who did all the shit the Cthulhu cultists and is very stubborn about it.

Recently, some OTHER organization is moving behind the scenes and we have yet to see what happens to Itsuwa and the Necessarius examiner who are forced to help Itsuwa against this other organization.

I think Kamachi retconed it because ge realized the world would had been destroyed if Accelerator would had done such a thing
>>
>>101349776
Man that explanation still makes me laugh every time.
It just doesn't make any sense at all. As long as the rotation rate before and after are the same no energy has been subtracted, and it's not like energy constantly flows into the earths rotation. What moves stays moving, very simple. If you'd delay the earths rotation you'd have to store all the momentum somewhere and then release it to the earth again anyway. Ultimately a rather pointless action and the amount of momentum in earths rotation is so ridiculous it's impossible. And even if for some reason he had accelerated the piece of concrete to a billionth of the impulse of the earth, that would've send it flying at near the speed of light, which'd just trigger some kind of nuclear like blast instead of a high velocity projectile.
Generally the physics explanations in the series aren't that bad but this was stupid.
>>
>>101350647
Why not? medical files have comment sections, same with scientific papers
>>
>>101350684
Rensa mentions it. Touma's profile has comments saying there are reports of him negating Espers, but that they're probably rumors spread by Touma to make himself more intimidating.
>>
>>101350802
>all the fuys he has beaten go to his profile and spams it with insult

Calculate fortress seems to have a ranged effect given the vibrations explanation, so the projectile was already slowing down the instant Accel fired it.

Other parts I can't say anything about.
>>
>>101350802
Touma is his own hypeman.
>>
>>101350218
I have no idea how they'd've calculated that. The whole concept of "5 minutes of the earths rotational energy" is stupid and doesn't make sense. The energy in some kind of movement is constant so dE/dt would always be 0 anyways. The whole concept of a certain amount of time of a certain amount of energy doesn't make physical sense.
>>
See http://what-if.xkcd.com/1/ for an explanation of what happens when an object moves at relativistic speeds within the Earth's atmosphere.
>>
>>101350978
That doesn't really matter though because he'd throw it almost at the speed of light.
The energy has to go somewhere.

>>101351100
Has a pretty good explanation of how silly it'd be.
>>
>>101351141
Given Crowley's shown ability to literally ignore the way numbers work, I doubt he cares about conservation of energy.

Hell all Espers warp how shit is supposed to work anyways.

so the earth rotates once about every 24 hours. thats 1440 minutes. since the earth slowed down by 5 minutes we can calculate how much of the earths rotational energy he borrowed. 5/1440 gives us .00347blahblahsomeothernumbers. for simplicities sake i used .0035 or, 0.35%.

now the earths total rotational energy is 2.14x10^29 joules. thats 214000000000000000000000000000 joules. .35% of that is 7490000000000000000000000000 or 7.49x10^27 joules.

thats about two exatons of TNT. an exaton is 1x10^18 tons of TNT. thats the entire worlds nuclear stockpile many many times over.

if you cant get a sense of it from just the numbers, thats enough energy to vaporize all the earths oceans and dehydrate the crust with plenty to spare.
>>
>>101351434
Espers work via a specific mechanism though. Only they can violate the conservation of Energy. Calculate fortress is just a machine.
>>
>>101351533
I've studied orbital dynamics.
That explanation doesn't make any fucking sense. It'd make sense if so much energy flowed into earths rotation every day. But it is just a rotating object. Which means that if the rotational velocity, density and shape of the rotating object at the start and end are the same, no energy gets lost in between.

You can't just say "there's so much energy in this rotation and it rotates once a day, so there's an energy flow of Energy/Period.". That doesn't make even the slightest amount of sense.

If you want to take energy out of the rotating object, the rotational speed will have to go down.

That explanation makes less sense than a dog turd on a firehose.
>>
>>101351547
a machine that works as Aleister's body and life
>>
>>101351100
> The ball is going so fast that everything else is practically stationary. Even the molecules in the air are stationary. Air molecules vibrate back and forth at a few hundred miles per hour, but the ball is moving through them at 600 million miles per hour. This means that as far as the ball is concerned, they’re just hanging there, frozen.
Even though it's not actually the same principle as Meltdowner, this kind of helps in thinking of how Meltdowner works.
>>
>>101351986
But the speed did go down, it says that in the text.

The better question is how the earth sped back up.
>>
>>101352082
Maybe Calculate Fortress just takes the energy and tells it "go back".
>>
>>101352082
Exact line from 13.

>In that instant, earth’s rotation slowed by about 5 minutes for September 30.

>His arm took the massive energy of the planet’s rotation and used his vector control to transform it into a demonic strike.
>>
>>101352082
Well yeah, if we'd know how much the Earth would've decelerated it would make sense.
But the time it started lagging behind due to deceleration/acceleration is just dependant how long the amount of energy was taken away from the system. Which is unknown.

And of course this doesn't make sense with what was written because the lines of >>101352406 just describe an elemental mistake. rotational velocity is measured in a measure of angle divided by a measure of time
It's an elementary mistake that you can't just subtract two different units. the whole concept doesn't even make sense.
>>
Eh, who cares?

It's obvious that Kamachi just wanted some way to show off the massive brokenness of Calculate Fortress. By saying that even the "massive energy of the Earth's rotation" can't do anything to it, he's basically saying it's invincible.
>>
>>101352923

Kamachi's probably just gonna resolve the main plotlines, like Imagine Breaker's true purpose, the reason the elements went out of whack, Aleister's plans, etc., etc., while not resolving the secondary romantic subplots.

It's not like this is a straight harem series. The romantic subplots have always been tertiary to the whole thing.

Yeah, pretty much.

People seem to have unreasonable expectations out of this series. The main conflicts have always been "Science VS Magic", or "Magicians fucking around" or "Academy City's darkness". Shit like that. Kamachi's always given the overwhelming majority of the series' focus to that.

Out of the 30+ volumes of the series, when has Kamachi ever given more than maybe one or two parts' worth of attention per every several volumes to the romantic subplots? Anyone can tell from a glance that it's never been very high on his list of priorities.

It's really not.

Accel, the scrawny albino, takes a worse beating from Amata than the one he got from Touma, is only saved by the chance appearance of Index, then walks it off while slaughtering a Hound Dog squad or two. He then gets his ass kicked again in the rematch, only for him to pull Dark Wing mode at the last second and turn Amata into plasma.

Fuck, the entire Kakine fight would have gone much worse for him if Kakine hadn't explicitly explained exactly how his Dark Matter worked and how to counter it. Don't even get me started on Mikoto's fight with ITEM.
>>
>>101354560
Their relationship hasn't really progressed very far. I mean, it has more than any other relationship, but they haven't said "I love you" to each other yet. It seems to be kind of at a standstill, though that mostly seems to be because both of them are satisfied with the status quo.

They're basically a pair of virgins who think "So this is what a relationship is like..." and simply sit next to each other without doing anything else with a completely satisfied look on their faces.

I don't mind them getting a volume after the whole Gremlin thing's resolved. New Testament's been one large Toumafest, so having the odd volume that's focused on someone else might not be bad.

Granted, I don't really see much hope for Accelerator getting a volume to himself seeing as how he's getting his own manga series. The Railgun manga's existence didn't exactly seem to help Mikoto's appearances in the novel either, after all.

Although she has had a lot of screentime in NT. She's been in almost every novel. I wonder if that's because Kamachi just has no plans to continue Railgun into the NT time period though?

Maybe Thor can have a volume to himself after the Gremlin arc is resolved, or maybe NT10 will end in a way which will cause Touma to go into hiding and give screentime to someone else and how they react to him going against the world.

>An oppressive stench of blood hanging in the air. A burnt taste mixed in with the air when I breathed. A noise that hurt my ears. A sticky, melting feeling. It was all in the past, but whenever it periodically came back to me, I was inundated by layer after layer of sensations.
>It all felt crazy.
>The middle-school-aged girl who had been with my uncle was in the restaurant kitchen. No, she was collapsed within it. Collapsed on top of the gas stovetop. I could hear a noise that sounded like Chinese food being prepared. Her cute face was burnt black beyond recognition, the slender lines of her body had been fused with her clothing, and almost everything else about her was just horribly wrong as well. Only her right arm hanging down had escaped the flames. Their relative normalcy made the rest of her seem that much more horrible.
>Who had done that to her?
>I had no time to think.
>Kotemitsu Madoka was hanging within the hotel lobby. She was hanging down from the ceiling like a chandelier. I could hear a creaking noise as she swayed back and forth at the perfect height to hide a triangular-shaped diagram on the back wall of the lobby. At first, I thought she had been hanged, so I wondered if it was possible to save her. But I was wrong. She was hanging from a thick hook meant to catch Pacific bluefin tuna weighing over 200 kilograms. It was hooked into her upper jaw just as it was designed to. I could not see where the tip of the hook went, but it was obvious not enough room was left in her head for its proper contents. Her eyes. Both eyeballs were bulging out to an unbelievable degree. It looked like they were being pushed out from inside. Her face had been destroyed. It was much too tragic a fate for a teenage girl.

>What spewed from his mouth was a large number of snakes.
>Snakes as thick as a little finger fell to the ground as if a faucet had been opened. He held a hand to his mouth, but the snakes slipped through the gaps between his fingers.
>“Gyah!? Wh-wh-what is that!?”
>“What is going on…!?”
>The change did not stop at his mouth.
>I heard a popping noise. Some foreign substance was flowing out like tears. More than ten snakes came from his eye sockets as if forcing their way out of his eyeballs. They came from his nose and ears as well. At this point, anyone could imagine what had happened. It was like snakes or moles moving through the dirt. Tanishita Hajime’s head had to be filled with countless tunnels. There was no way he was still alive.

>>101355907
Well they tried to explain magic to Hamazura of all people, and he never does shit. Mikoto went with them to Hawaii and helped them a lot throughout NT, you think they would at least bring her up to speed.

And Touma has been shown to get along fine with her a lot of the time.
>>
>>101355906
A neck that was twisted like an old rag. A female body missing a head. I recognized that person who even now had fresh blood gushing out of her. The corpse had its face crushed and was overall melted, so it was possible it was not actually her. However, that theory did not hold here. I simply recognized too many things about her.

I recognized the beautifully manicured fingers.

I recognized the smooth line of her back.

It matched the memories in my mind so perfectly I shuddered. I could not help but shudder. She was collapsed there limply…no, her entire body was twitching as the blood flowed out like a frog leg with electrodes attached.

I managed to squeeze a voice out of the depths of my dry throat.

“Hishigami…Mai-san…?”

I may have called her name because I was hoping for a response.

Even though she had no mouth. Even though she had no head.

My legs almost collapsed underneath me, but then I realized the redness gushing out was flowing toward me. When I thought it would touch me and sully me, strength reentered my legs. And then I realized something else. I felt it would sully me because it was coming from a corpse. I no longer even thought of it as being Hishigami Mai.

And with that realization, the fear that had been numbed over by the shock came flooding in all at once.

“Ah...ah...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!”

I would be killed.

I would be killed if I stayed there. This was a situation where a human on her level had been easily decapitated. A normal high school student like me did not stand a chance!!

I swung my arms around and ran away.

I had no idea what I was screaming. It didn’t matter what. I needed to get out. I needed to get out of the building. I ran through a long passageway.

Generation 2 objects take a concept and put it to the extreme. I think it's called the free lunch theorem? Anyway. while they have an extreme advantage in the areas they are usually deployed in, they would have extreme disadvantages in other areas. Whereas her Object works everywhere without any real disadvantages or advantages.

The problem is, she'll only ever be able to operate her Gen. 1 Object. If they ever go past it for Quenser's platoon, they'd just train a new Elite for it and possibly decommission her.

>>101355409
Well if it was terrible, she'd probably be dead. Quenser kills the Elites more often than he disables them. Milinda just seems to be unable to stray from her usual combat patterns of dodge and fire. If something's too fast to hit, too far, or just doesn't give a shit about getting hit, she runs out of options.

>>101355639
That's what I love about them. Betting pudding regarding if they get bombed or not, having the VIP for an overly loyal bodyguard kick said guard in the balls because they said they would, seriously planning an elaborate stealth mission just to sneak at the girls' showers since it will absolutely not have an old lady in it, etc.
>>
>>101356102
But I stopped partway through.

My legs refused to move any further.

A single door lay before me. It was half open and a pure red color was splattered on the other side.

Dammit! What the hell!? Dammit!! That’s my uncle! He’s supposed to be a policeman! The symbol of this country’s power! Why…Why is his neck caught in a broken window frame and his legs severed!?

He was my relative, so I did not know whether I should run over crying even though he was so horribly damaged. But the fear held me back. I could not approach. There was something wrong about the situation. He had not died due to blood loss from his legs. He had suffocated with his neck caught in the window frame. It was clear someone had wanted him to slowly suffer as he died by setting a trap he could have escaped had he been able to use his legs at all.

That mystery-loving girl had been thrown on top of a gas burner in the kitchen and Madoka was swaying back and forth as she hung like a chandelier from the ceiling by a giant fishing hook meant for catching Pacific bluefin tuna. There was simply no hope. It did not matter who had done it. I could not imagine how this could all be summarized into an individual pursuing us. It simply seemed to me that the entire hotel was enveloped by some invisible power like some massive malice or grudge.

I was going to die.

I was definitely going to die.

>They were scattered around a bit, but there were six corpses lying in the parking lot. The snakes were even wriggling around in the stab wounds in Yamada Ken’s head. This spread the wounds by quite a bit, so the “contents” were spilling out.
>I viewed each corpse in turn.

>The worst part was the stab wounds on his head. Instead of fresh blood, over ten snakes were slithering out. The pink contents of his head were spilling out, so it was blatantly obvious there was no saving him.
>Sakai Haruka.
>I did not want to take a peek inside her work uniform, but her disturbingly sunken-in silhouette told me she had ruptured within it. All of her insides must have been taken out as well because she smelled the worst of any of them. It was more than just the smell of blood. A lot of different things had mixed together inside her gut.
>Kurumaya Nozomi.
>I heard an occasional whistling sound escaping from her, so I initially thought she was alive. However, she was not. I could see snakes in her chest. Her lungs had burst from the inside. As the snakes came and went, they caused the remnants of her lungs to act as a pump. That was sending some air out.
>I saw a beckoning cat bottle cap doll poking out from her pocket, so she must have been the one who had placed them in the employee cafeteria.
>Tanishita Hajime.
>They came from his mouth, eyes, nose, and ears. Snakes pushed open every single hole on his face. The structure of his face had been utterly destroyed. It looked like a swollen fugashi.

No space.

In Volume 14, Mikoto wasn't doing anything.

In Volume 16, she had enough free time to leisurely visit a public bath.

In Volume 17, she was leisurely eating lunch when she got a call from Touma about mechanical locks.

Almost immediately after that, she ended up following him to Russia.

There's just no space. The only time she'd have to get involved in a long arc is when Touma goes to Italy, but that trip only lasts for a day.

Daihaseisai may very well be Railgun's final arc. There's just not enough time to fit anything else.

>>
>>101357177
Yes, because that leads to Nagai Space, do you want Nagai Space
>>
>>101357177
Given how deep Mikoto involves herself in Touma's shit past a certain point, then yes, it's too much to ask, barring anime filler.
>>
>>101357103
Volume 15 has some time, though presumably she spent the time between 14 and 16 worrying about Touma.

And i'm pretty sure it took Touma about a week to get from Britain to Russia, so that's a week of activities right there. Of course the city is at war the whole time.
>>
>>101357284
Sometimes time expansion goes a bit too far, though. see DBZ and it's "five minutes".
>>
>>101357177
Thats not the problem
Considering the timeline, it will have to be a railgun without Misaka
>>
>>101357177
Yes. Because Touma makes the arcs better. Everything else has been subpar.
>>
>>101357284
Mikoto was freaking out about Touma that whole time though apparently.
>>
>>101357363
Kuroko's time to shine!
>>
>>101357103
>volumes

What about the spaces of time between volumes? Theres six days between 0930 and avignon with nothing happening.
>>
>>101357428
True, Kuroko's always decent when Misaka isn't around
>>
>>101357483
>>101357428
Eh people have been complaining about her in the last few months
Though people are complaining about the pace in general I suppose especially after a chapter with plenty of Gunha and Touma and then they get sideline'd
>>
I really don't see where this necromancy thing is going in Accel's manga.
>>
>>101357483
Same with Mikoto when Touma isn't around. Funny thing.
>>
>>101357460
Do you really think Mikoto gets involved in ridiculous incidents all that often?
>>
>>101357603
Misaka's also bad when she's around the slut brigade, so don't try to pin this all on him
>>
>>101357603
Nope. She's fine both ways.
>>
>>101357589
They're using corpses of espers to make a robots with the same ability, but higher level. Like how there's a level 5 psychokinesis robot.

I just don't see how they used a magic character to make it scientific.
>>
>>101357652
Everyone important does.
>>
>>101357675
>shitty generic tsundere act
>fine
>>
>>101357483
Same here. I don't mind her when she's being serious.
>>
>>101357706
Touma's unique. He's the only one who gets involved in incidents as often as he does.

Contrary to popular belief, the majority of Mikoto's days are spent living a normal life. Unlike Touma, she doesn't have nearly so many absences from school.
>>
>>101357660
Only in the anime.
>>
>>101357782
Now if only Misaki's mindwipe was permanent...
>>
>>101357652
Why does a protagonist need an excuse for wierd shenanigans

Isnt the point of a side story to see what things happen to a side character when the MC isn't looking? Mall demonstration, Liberal Arts City, Level Upper,ITEM?
>>
>>101357811
Pretty sure Gunha supposedly is always doing the same thing according to his handler.
>>
>>101357876
I'm sure most of his incidents are just fighting random thugs. Nothing worth mentioning.
>>
>>101357766
>Not shitty generic tsundere act
No shit I like it.
>>
>>101357864
It's not vacation anymore. It's canon that Mikoto's missed very few days of school, if any at all. It's preposterous to think she's getting involved in incidents at the same frequency as Touma.
>>
>>101358047
You're delusional.
>>
>>101357975
Injecting guts into women.
>>
Can we all just agree that if Misaka gets another adventure, it'd be better if Misaki and Kongou were involved, instead of Kuroko and friends?
>>
>>101358097
And you're in denial.
>>
>>101358189
Mikoto can't stand Misaki and Kongou's a Level 4 and therefore inferior goods.

She's better off handling things on her own.
>>
>>101358202
I bet you like Kirino and Emi too.
>>
>>101358189
I'm up for any excuse to get more Misaki screen time.

Is that supposed to be a problem?
>>
>>101358064
But LAC, Remnant and Daihasesei have all happened since the end of vacation.

Why would she need to be missing school just for a new arc, anyway? So far the Railgum Daihasesai stuff has happenes over just two days.
>>

Let's make another.
>>
>>101358438

Why?
>>
>>101358352
I do. In fact, they are my favourite from those series. I'm sorry, I'm just very easy to please and don't have the tolerance of a peanut.
>>
>>101358438
Wait for js to start on the next parody storry.
>>
>>101358411
LAC and Daihaseisai both happened during events where school wasn't an issue. Remnant also happened over a holiday, which you can tell since Touma spent the whole day at home.

So unless you think the finale of the series is gonna take place in under a day, I honestly think this is the end. Besides, in terms of scale, it's gonna be hard to beat this.
>>
>>101357269
A guardian angel didn't explain the method to a guy floating upside down in a tube, so it doesn't count as science.
>>
>>101358748
And what they're doing with Gensei, who is pretty much final boss in Railgun seems to tell me this is final arc.
>>
>>101358863,1

Eh, I dunno. It just seems like this would be a really shitty conclusion when compared to the Sisters Arc.

Not to mention, they've introduced Misaki and Kongou and co. There is so much new dynamic there, it would be a shame for it to end right there.
>>
>>101358863,2
Misaki's case I think her "revelations" and development is saved for Index.

I can agree with Kongou though, but I don't know what else they can do since past Daihaiseisai it's kind of limited. Who knows though its not over yet.
>>
>>101358863,2
>Two level 5s and Touma trying to stop grampa Kihara from transforming Misaka in a failed level 6
>this would be a really shitty conclusion when compared to the Sisters Arc
what?
>>
>>101358863,4
Pretty much.
>>
>>101358863,3

Oh yea, I agree about Misaki's total revelations. But they could certainty lay some groundwork and tease us with it. And she's great even as a simple gag character when she interacts with Mikoto.

But as you said, past Daihaseisai, its kind of limited. Maybe that's why Accel manga became a thing, to have something for the Raildex followers to ease into after Railgun ends.

I hope they can still pull some more stuff out of it though. Guess we will just have to see.
>>
>>101358863,4

I don't know... I think the pacing is just killing the arc for me. I guess it would be ok, it's just that this arc feels so dragged on, I don't know if I want to view it as an ending point.
>>
>>101358863,7
Although is true that the pacing is killing it, Gensei is a better villain than Accel and Touma does a better team with Gunha than he does with Misaka
Not to mention that all me minor characters had an opportunity to shine in this arc
>>
>>101358863,8

Yea, the more I think about it, it would be a decent finisher. I think the extended wait just kind of blinded me.
>>
>>101358863,9
I think the problem is how we've been getting smaller chapters every month, which kills the pacing a lot.
>>
>>101358863,10

Precisely
>>
>>101358863,10
Which is sad when its a monthly series and it can't even hit the standard 30+ pages.
>>
>>101358863,10
Maybe Fuyukawa is deliberately dragging out the arc so that there will be no space left for filler in a Railgun D?
>>
>>101358863,13
That can only backfire
either we have the Daihasei with the pacing of the sisters arc for 24 episodes or we have the Daihasei compressed to the extreme so there is room left for filler
>>
>>101358863,13
I don't think they factor in the anime when writing and illustrating the manga. Certainly not Kadokawa/Dengeki.
>>
With the last chapter getting 29 pages I think it's a good sign that we'll go back to 30+ pages per month. Hopefully.
>>

The chapter where Mitori kidnaps Misuzu was long too, but the page count fell again in the next chapters.
>>
>>101358863,16
>>101358863,20
They're probably just trying to time it so Railgun Volume 10 and Accelerator Volume 1 release at the same time.
>>
>>101358863,21
Well, Accelerator already has enough pages for a tank. They might try to squeeze in another chapter, though.
>>
>>101358863,22
Nah, one more chapter and it'll be a good size Dengeki Comics tank.

Emi a best. Kirino a shit
>>
Wait, if Othinus wanted to make Touma as the cage for the Imagine Breaker because killing him would just make the Imagine Breaker transfer to something else making it problematic for her, then why did she try to break his mind to the point of trying to kill himself? Or is this one of those between the lines where she subconsciously just wanted her to experience the suffering she had when she can't ever go back to her own world?
>>
>>101358863,33
>Rather than smashing every last bit of you to pieces, it would be better to break you mentally.

Didn't she say something about how him killing himself could prevent IB from manifesting elsewhere?
>>
>>101358863,38
now was that even true? or just a psychological attack?

No. She just wanted Touma to be completely submissive to her so she can use IB without any resistance.
