An idea: Why don't we have a thread stickied to this board that displays something like pic related, of course with a few messages telling newfags to lurk before posting? Is there a reason for it?
I think if we had something like that, it would prevent a lot of trouble and trash threads like recommendation threads. I always see this board stirring up shit for cases like such so I thought that a sticky was the most needed on this board and is quite fitting for it.
How about you let people find recommendations themselves and quit spoonfeeding them? Besides recommendations are against the rules.
Here's a better idea:
Make a sticky with the message "GOOGLE IT, YOU FUCKING FAGGOT" in big red letters and ban anyone who doesn't follow this rule
I'm pretty sure we did before and it didn't help at all, it doesn't help with the other boards who currently have stickies either.
People will still make shitty generic rec threads like they do now but we'll also get a million threads of the following:
>which one should I watch first?
>about to watch x what should I expect?
>I watched X from the sticky and it was shit take it off
>why isn't X on the sticky?
All it would do is act as a welcome mat for retards who are too stupid to figure things out for themselves.
Holy shit, you are literally the first person in the history of /a/ to come up with that idea! I'm amazed it hasn't been proposed before! I'm amazed we haven't had thread after thread discussing why we don't like this idea!
You must be one serious oldfag, onii-chan.
>there are people that watch slice of life animes
That would make /a/ seem like a welcoming place that is suitable for people who are new to anime. This would make more people like you, who are clearly new (if you weren't you would know that this 'idea' has been brought up thousands upon thousands of times), making shit threads.
No they aren't.
Fuck off. Your idea has been proposed to fucking many times and denied every fucking time.
If you don't know why we don't have a sticky or will never need one, you need to fucking lurk more or leave.
Kill yourself OP.
>No they aren't
Two completely different things.
you faggots are a bunch of assholes
what if someone wnats to watch something similar to kill la kill but doesnt know where to look?
god forbid he asks in the fucking anime board
worst fucking board on 4chan
>No they aren't.
Here's your sticky right here.
God forbid he takes one second to use his fucking brain and enter his question into Google, a search engine which puts the entirety of human kinds knowledge at his finger tips, and is designed specifically to help him find what he needs.
You need to fucking leave.
Google is a useful website.
Global rule 16
>All requests belong on /r/ unless otherwise noted.
This includes all recommendations
B-But... I actually liked Final Fantasy Unlimited.
Why the fuck are you replying to such obvious bait?
>Implying the posts asking for recommendations are made by people who want recommendations
I wish mods would actually do their job for once.
But I can only wish.
Because I have no doubt that there are people in this thread or on the board right now who feel the same way.
You're naive if you still think that those kinds of posts are just bait, and not retards being completely serious.
We've been over this, get fucked OP.
I picked up Aria recently. It's actually pretty good.
Well, I'm still watching Magical Warfare, so I probably shouldn't judge.
I remember when /g/ did a similar thing. It was quickly overrun with threads that the sticky was supposed to prevent.
Spoonfed babies don't think it's enough to have a list of "good anime". They always want more. They would ask which anime in particular that they should watch on that list, argue that they saw an anime that they didn't like there and wants reasons for why they should watch X when they didn't like Y. They are simply too spoiled to look up a description of whatever anime caught their interest themselves and too impatient to lurk the board to hear what people here think.
OP, we had it but people ignored it and made threads anyway, so it was useless,.
