Is there ever going to be proper OP animation or did Manglobe give up on this show?
The budget has been low for the entire series.
>sell less than a thousand copies of BD+DVD COMBINED
I'm pretty sure the investors and sponsors of the show are pretty fucking angry.
it's all a part of a conspiracy, believe me
Did you all guys bought a copy?
Obviously not. I don't even bother downloading the episodes anymore. Instead I just stream them. The only reason I'm still watching this garbage is because I liked the first 6 episodes and Masayoshi as a character. I'm pretty happy it's even doing worse than expected, actually.
I hated how much budget Manglobe give it. I can't believe how many people haven't realized that the show has always been a love letter to the sentai genre even after the whole Gorilla Guillotine incident, it made me feel bad (I used to be one of the bandwagonners for the show past episode 7 but not anymore)
I gave up on the show past gorilla guillotine but still occasionnaly visit SamFlam threads. Can anyone be nice enough to quickly summarize the events since then for me? I may pick this back up out of pure bordem.
I can't understand how can you NOT like it. It's one of the most entertaining anime I've ever seen, pure madness, yes, but I wouldn't call it stupid like SAO stupid or VVV stupid. There's logic in it, in terms of their universe, everything makes sense. Characters make sense.
>It's one of the most entertaining anime I've ever seen,
That speaks more for your shit taste if anything.
Why was Guillotine Gorilla that much of a bother?
USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
Mister Justice is the pinnacle of America. I wish I were him.
Why don't you just pick it back up and see for yourself? Seeing events written down wouldn't persuade anyone to pick something back up when they already dropped it.
>buying a copy of this turd.
I'd rather buy fucking valvrave or Guilty Crownover this
it's shit, just like every show it tricked us into thinking it was parodying
>There's logic in it, in terms of their universe, everything makes sense
It's a far worse trainwreck than SAO or VVV because at least those went off the rails right from the start
>I can't understand how can you NOT like it
There's this thing called "opinions" anon.
Regardless of how "good" the story for not leaving any plot holes (so far).
Some people prefer the more laid back, pre-Guilotine Gorilla, storytelling.
>Mister Justice will never flash his ass at you.
It hurts to live. ;_;
Why bother creating an OP when the characters/themes/tone/genre in it will become irrelevant within the next 3-4 episodes?
I'm only watching it to see where it goes at this point. Jumping the shark doesn't even begin to describe what happened to this show, I can't hate it though because I still have no idea what it is yet.
Why do people get so upset about genre shifts and over the top references? I can understand not liking this show if you've never watched or actively disliked toku before, but even then you probably shouldn't even have picked it up in the first place, or at the very least should've dropped it after Guillotine Gorilla. And if you have an ounce of good sense, you should've also dropped any pretense that you're qualified to judge this show.
The genre of Samurai Flamenco IS genre shift.
Samurai Flamenco is the one who's going to save anime.
I watch Samflam to rubberneck, too, but it's a stretch to say 'most entertaining'. Come on.
I liked it at the start because it was a fun little story about a pathetic guy with ridiculous values trying to be a superhero and failing miserably. With Goto in the mix it could have been had a nice little moral about the two learning to accept the things you can't change whilst also striving for something better.
Then it decided it wanted to actually be a boring, generic superhero show with no distinguishing features.
Then, a few episodes later, it decided it wanted to be a complete different generic superhero show.
>it's shit because i want to predict everything that can happen in my show!
>worse trainwreck than VVV
>because at least those went off the rails right from the start
Again. So you wanted to predict every single shit that can happen in a show, right?
Yeah there's no way they decided they wanted to have sentai since the beginning.
And even more than that, there's no way they were planning for all the heroes from the shows he liked as a kid would show up since the beginning.
This is ridiculous. Things started escalating pretty soon. After Kaname, Mari and then Harazuka came into the mix, it was already over the top and self conscious enough that only a complete idiot would still not expect things to continue escalating even further.
>generic superhero show with no distinguishing features
You're clinically retarded. It's a love letter to those generic hero shows, but it's not generic in itself at all. It takes all the elements and tropes in those shows and makes something new with them. And, again, if you never watched or liked those shows in the first place, why did you even bother with this one? And what makes you think you're qualified to judge it's flaws or merits, when you don't even understand the things it references in the first place? Stop being such a pretentious cunt.
>B-B-But i want to get spoonfed about things that can happen in a show!
>This show s-sucks, and you have s-shit taste!
>hurrr durr good values are ridiculous and never want to watch that kind of shit!
What? I'm saying the exact opposite of that. I'm replying to a guy who thinks it was a sudden decision and saying that it was planned from the beginning.
Do you lack reading comprehension? I'm going to assume from your stuttering memetext that it was all a joke.
Yeah dude, it was a fucking joke.
The King Torture arc doesn't make sense given the world building of the first six-and-a-bit episodes and the believable characters that inhabited that world. If the arc had been part of a different show and starring different characters then it wouldn't have been so bad. Even so, it still wouldn't have been worthy of an A-. As it is, coming off the back of such a solid opening run of episodes that were notable for their (relative) realism, I wouldn't even give the arc an F.
It makes sense now though, because the government set up Samurai Flamenco to be a hero after fending off something that was ACTUALLY lethal, and then rode off of his fame by sending non-threatening monsters. We can assume Big Leader's approval rating was just on a steady rise.
If you're complaining about anything not making sense, its why Red Axe made the Flamenger's and the base. Unless its explained later that he knew all along akin to MISTAH JUSTICE but just hid it to get on Big Leader's good side.
Then learn to use the quote function, dude, or else you just look like an idiot.
Go watch a movie or something. This was one instance when shock value was used right. If they didn't build up a realistic setting for several episodes, the GG scene wouldn't have been half as memorable, and KT's arc half as amusing.
Also, everything is coming together nicely right now, I think once it's over we will be able to look back and see that it all fits, even if it not all was foreshadowed.
>ever used right
>If they didn't build up a realistic setting for several episodes, the GG scene wouldn't have been half as memorable, and KT's arc half as amusing.
This is a joke right? Why do you think this show as divided so many people after that scene?
How does dividing opinions makes it not memorable?
Shock value can be wrongly used?
Why do people use this as proof of anything when it was obvious that people were spaming to feel significant?
>VVV episode 10
Eotenas. Shock-value for the sake of shock value. Overabundance to the point of no one caring.
Take off the murica part and it will be perfect
I bet you also scream samefag and proxy a lot.
You continue being deluded
SamFlam is not even popular
You continue being retarded.
Absolutely irrelevant. It was a memorable scene to anyone who was watching, be it positively or negatively.
