Anyone out there watch the entirety of Endless Eight?
I'm currently watching episode four on a certain streaming site and I noticed how the rating dipped around the second episode and rose back up at the last of the arc.
I've only kept my sanity because I enjoy looking for the subtle differences in each episode.
Get out of /a/, nerd.
I watched all of episodes 1 and 2.
Then I watched the last few minutes of episodes 3-7.
Then I watched all of episode 8.
Watching all 8 episodes is not really worth it. You could get away with watching the first episode and the last 3 minutes of the 8th episode.
>get 2 4K screens
>watch all episodes at once
Endless Eight killed the Haruhi fanbase, it used to be crazy back then.
God bless you, Endless Eight.
Lovecraft would be proud of endless. Truly a sanity destroying abomination.
I watched 1, 2 and 8 fully. The rest I did at 2x speed.
I watched all of them, because I was stupid enough to think that the plot was going to develop.
I just watched the whole episode every week. It truly felt like an endless summer.
>not marathoning all of them
Can you be that casual?
>I also predict Endless Eight will be one of the filler episodes, and look forward to that one.
Going to find the thread where people figure out what Kyoani is doing.
Fuck no. I dropped it after Episode 3. Haruhi wasn't worth sitting through 5 more episodes of that nightmare. I am more than content to leave them trapped in groundhog vacation.
Shit son I even thought all those subtle things were going to be really important plot points later like the way Kyon acts in the locker room and the kite motif.
Someone posts from a week in the future
I watched the whole franchise in one sitting, every episode and the movie, including endless eight.
I don't see what's wrong with that
People responding to this post thought there would be a S3.
I feel you. Everytime, I hoped for a twist, but not before, Endless Eight.
>you underestimate KyoAni's troll-fu.
This anon thought their would only be the first E8 episode.
Some knew what was coming.
I did it over like 2/3 days not knowing any thing about the series.
Got to the endless 8 and wondering what the fuck they where doing. Ended up watching a few eps with the dub because i herd it was one the better one.
From the livestream thread for 2nd episode
> Yes, it's one more episode, trust us.
I watched it when it aired. Oh, it was so beautiful, because nobody knew that we were about to get 8 episodes of the same shit over and over again! After every episode people were speculating: "They'll end this next week for sure! They surely won't do 8 episodes!"
This one knew
Was Moot fucking with people or something?
I watched them all because of some kind of OCD, I guess it's not really OCD but I felt obliged to watch them all, I couldn't skip one even if I knew. It's hard to explain, I just had to do it, there was no possible way arround.
that's exactly what OCD is you retard.
>If they do a half season they can do 2~3 episodes of Sighs, ~7 episodes of Disappearance, 1 episode for BLR, 1 for Endless Eight and then 1~2 for Snow Mountain Syndrome.
>1 for Endless Eight
If only he knew
>Was Moot fucking with people or something?
Yeah, that was Moot just fucking with us all.
> because nobody knew that we were about to get 8 episodes of the same shit over and over again!
People knew, they were just holding onto the hope that Kyoanime would actually go through with it and waste eight episodes just to get some retarded 8 = ∞ bullshit.
>Kyoanime would actually
I watched all of it for the same reasons.
I honestly enjoyed it. I've marathoned it three times now, and I probably will again this year.
My favorite episode is the one with the super foreboding atmosphere. Loved the part when Haruhi and the girls come running for Kyon at the pool side like usual and Kyon's seeing it in slow motion, no music at all, and he's thinking about how he's seen that scene before and he knows what they're about to say.
>I didn't watch them but it's not worth it
Speak for yourself.
I just sat down and marathoned them at normal speed. You should too.
>I've marathoned it three times now
More like masochist, considering he enjoys punishing himself like that.
Or would it be sadist, since he's the one doing the punishing and it's directed towards himself?
Or it could even be sadomasochism , since there are two definitive acts of the process. One self is giving and the other is receiving.
all those newfags that didn't wait week after week when the anime aired.
I watched all of them as it was airing, and then marathoned them again when I rewatched it 2 years ago.
Probably will again in a couple of months when I get the Haruhi novels and finish them.
