What about hermit crabs?
What about dogs? I've seen them wear Christmas sweaters.
The shells are houses, so they don't count.
They wear it, ergo it's clothes.
Next you'll be telling me that the helix isn't a spiral.
>it takes 16 episodes for an anime to start having coherent plot
Do you wear your house, anon? No, I didn't think so.
People made them do that, not the fibers.
You have to wonder then if there isn't a hidden civilization of hermit crabs in the deepest parts of the ocean living in peaceful coexistence with life fibers.
Does this no longer count as wearing clothes if I sleep outside in it?
It's a portable house.
Damn dogs, getting all self-aware in our back without us noticing.
Decorator Crabs as well
If they feed off signals from the nervous system, why do kamui need blood?
Hermit crabs will wear anything. Fucking sluts.
That's just bling.
>not wearing your legos
That's bird-making-pasta levels of moe
If I turned a pop up tent into a shirt that I can retreat into like a snail at will, is it clothes or shelter?
I get why people are upset with the episode, but I like this better than, "Life fibers are people".
Still got to wonder why the other scissor is blue when Nui is holding it
Her cartoon physics changed the color palette of it to match her outfit.
those are houses
do you carry your house around?
I think the thing that defines 'clothes' in this anime is whether or not they were creations of (or imitations of) the life fibers. The life fibers chose humanity and created the first 'clothes' and non-life fiber clothing is all imitations of that. It's not clothing in the same way that say, a silk cocoon is in the fact that a silkworm produces said silk as part of a natural process whereas 'clothes' are a foreign substance - in this case life fibers.
That being said, surely it's a little silly to say only humans wear clothes when pic related debunks that entire line of thought?
what about that crab that is wrapped in a velcro-like thing that goes around grabbing random trash and gluing to itself?
Or she, you know, painted it.
A hermit crab's 'shell' is a foreign substance though, mostly it's another creature's seashell but they use all sorts of shit.
You ignored the rest. I said in this case life fibres.
I thought exactly the same thing while watching the episode.
Clearly it's somehow related to that crab mecha.
>except hermit crabs
every time is retarded and nobody is as autistic as you faggots
>that recapitulation in the beginning
Will they ever explain why his nipples glow?
Shells don't look like cloth to me.
