Miunas noes edition
I'm up to episode 6, when does it get good?
It is already good
The last episode had less suffering than i expected
Maybe its all being saved up
After Chisaki and Tsumugu marry to adopt Kaname.
Miuna's nose was good, then she became an obsessed old hag, and I want to puke when I look at her.
I'll fight you
Character page updated with Kaname added.
I don't see him.
This anime needs more Sayama, that glorious bastard.
This is a good shoop
He goes to class in the next couple of episodes I guess.
He's between Chisaki and Tsumugu. Oh fuck, those clever bastards.
How is poor Sayu suppose to concentrate in class
God damn it, meant for >>101263518
Especially because he's sitting right behind her, now she'll be in MC seat, formerly Miuna's.
Weird, my website wasn't showing his thumbnail.
A god and his wife.
>there'll never be a SoL spin off about Sea god and Manaka newlywed life
It would just be Manaka crying half of the time.
I don't get it.
What aren't you get it?
>Are you okay?
>What do you mean?
>Well Mihashi-sansei is here, too
Forget it, as I'm typing it I just understood. They're really like a husband and wife somebody hug Kaname please ;_;
Well, that put things into perspective.
Chisaki's been called as his housewife since episode 14. Kaname's just one of many who notice they should just fuck.
We got Hikari and Kaname in au naturel. If there is no Tsumugu derriere then I will feel cheated.
Just wait until Chisaki gets tired of his robot wall and drugs him to rape him.
I seem to be enjoying this anime more now that Manaka is gone, then again that always happens when a Hanakana character is gone in any anime I watch
She's be back eventually sadly
IF THE NIECE DOESNT WIN WE RIOT
To win there needs to be a chance. And in this case, there never was and now potentially never will be that chance.
Change is the theme of the show and in order for her character arc to be completed properly she'd have to give up/get over hikari.
She'll probably offer herself to be the seagod's wife to switch with manaka
Late gif dump
By episode 3
We need Sayu gifs
I'll make some then
Why is she so perfect?
She actually has fans? That's cute.
In other news, Chisaki a best girl.
Chisaki xTsumugu with todays episode 100%
Are you trying to say she's not cute? I basically ignored Sayu for the majority of the show and even I had heart attacks watching her this episode.
>Literally going hnnng
I like Sayu. Anyone but Manaka.
I just find it endearing. She is surrounded by better girls.
At least she won somebody's heart.
Why is she so useless?
She'll bear Tsumugu some children.
This show has so much potential for doujinshi so I hope we get a lot more than the one we already have.
>You've gotten pretty
>Isn't that enough?
That's not the first time I see this artstyle. What is it inspired from?
Because she's fat. That's probably why she never helps out with the oceanography stuff. Too chubby to swim. All that blubber just floats right to the surface.
I liked this shot better than the blowing-budget one.
the series has drawn in rabid fan-girls who literally bites you in the ass if you ever try to threaten their OTP. and when i mean OTP i mean the tsumuguxchisaki fags. the miuna fags are quite noisy too but nobody takes them seriously even themselves.
on episode 2
>but nobody takes them seriously
I'm not taking Manakafags seriously. What now?
I want to cum inside Miunas nose.
Daily reminder. Just give up already, Miuna and Miukari shippers.
Why is Underwater taking so long?
Well as long as Manaka don't come back while Miuna being the MC, I'm perfectly fine.
I think the ones who keep complaining from the quality of the threads are the most annoying honestly. Can't you just ignore it and change the topic instead?
I can remember only ONE annoying shipper from 2/3 weeks ago.
They went a little too far in the budget scene. It felt awkward and disproportional.
inb4 the story is told from Kaname and Sayu's POV from now on.
It always takes this long.
They did the scene like that probably because how grandious and important it was to her (for her every Kaname scene should have 110% budget). He literally just crossed the street running to greet her.
Oh pure little girl's heart.
I wondered this
Miuna got like nothing when Hiakri returned
But Sayu got two really flashy scenes over Kaname
Sayu x Kaname comfirmed
You need to fix that, head down is better.
Miunafags tears are delicious.
I agree. I see the same fujoshits in here every thread.
Nah, I guarantee Miuna will be taking the spot from characters who need development more. You want more Tsumugu, Chisaki, Kaname and Sayu? >nope.jpg by P.AWorks.
KanamexTrashcan girl: 1
HikarixHis father: 1

Is your shift key broken?
Miuna got a kiss.
This happen with everything ever. People can't shut up about their own personal boogieman and end up shitting the thread up far more than whatever nonexistant fujoshit/yurifag/reddit army they claim has allegedly taken over all threads about the show.
It wasn't a "real" kiss.
>I can remember only ONE annoying shipper from 2/3 weeks ago.
You should participate more in threads then
wow this is pretty significant. Why have Manaka with Uroko specifically in a cover.
Am i the only one who's disappointed in the recent episodes ever since the time skip began? The drama just feels so weak compared to the first cour so far. Also Hikar makes a better narrator than Miuna
Its wierd... people who didn't like the show initially liked how it turned out and loves the 2nd cour
People who liked the show from episode one kinda don't like the timeskip.
No Manaka i guess
People simply raised their expectations
She still got a good scene. I agree Sayu's got better chances to catch a fish.
that's just Manaka and Hikari
It cant be helped. Iphones suvks ass
It's not a cover, but a special poster or clear file.
The first one had the four kids underwater, second one was Manaka and Tsumugu.
No more doli antics.
Uroko will appear next episode, calling it
I don't think any of them two have decent chances more just hopes and dream.
Kaname and Hikari
Chisaki and Manaka
Miuna and Sayu
Takeshi and Sayama
Gropping Girl and Trash can girl
Tsumugu doesn't have a bro, weird. I guess the Sensei now fills that role.
If a 19 year old ends up with a 14 year old brat, I will curse this show to oblivion.
People who liked it from the start are into stupid bland harem and romcom antics. The other group loves deep story telling and transcendental themes.
I don't know. I used to believe that, but Kaname didn't have the same resolution of Hikari in last episode. He was very consumed by pic related.
It's like he shows it's game over already. He and Sayu came off as childish trying to not give up/give up rather than resolute. I think there could be an implied "Kaname will move on" ending like in AnoHana once Tsumugu and Chisaki hook up.
Chisaki/Hikari shippers. I'll say Tsumugu/Manaka too but who shipped that?
It's the other way around faggot
It's called QUALITY anon.
no man.. nagi no asukara just got a lot better by changing the status quo
I want to see a doujin of Manaka laying eggs on the sea ground while surrounded by Hikaris sperm.
looks like she is gonna transform into a toad.
what am I reading
They're already rare to begin with. Not everything needs to involve shipping
Not as delicious as Manakafags will be when they find out that she was raped by the sea god countless times.
There weren't so weird, until Miuna timeskip was confirmed, they were very common.
Miuna is perfection.
I want to bite her arm.
Personally, I think the second all of your argument actually describes the series in it's entirety.
That Sayu's self-aware is dumb and she is trying to give up is a flag raised on her favor. It's played as humor which Okada also likes.
There seems to be a clash of opinions of those who think the Time Skip is good or not. There are those who like the status quo change and the the more somber mood of the 2nd half and those who would rather see the issues of the first half resolved. It also tied to wheather they liked Miuna as a character when she was first introduced. It's like those who found her annoying in the first half tend to not like the second half. And those who found her and her arc endearing like the second half.
common what? The ship sunk way before the time skip
I loved Miuna in the first half and I dislike her in the second half. I like both the pre timeskip and the timeskip enjoyable.
Kaname and Sayu will be the only couple in the end. Healthy kids and all.
Chisaki and Tsumugu will be divorced/separated, probably with childrens.
What? Do you know what QUALITY even means anon? Cause this certainly wasn't QUALITY.
Miuna was neat in the first half of the series but very.. very great after the 5 skipped years.
The fact that Hikari and Kaname easily accepted everything disturbs me. I was expecting more drama concerning the two of them feeling left out and abandoned. I want that coming of age ceremony already.
they aren't over it they aren't just overdramatizing it
It made me cringe and feel weird. I was QUALITY, alright.
No it isn't, you moron.
I wouldn't go so far as you did with generalizations, but I have to admit that I really like the first Miuna arc and I really fell in love with Miuna post time-skip.
>dollis are gone
Everybody was drawn in relatively proper proportions and their bodies didn't defy any law of physics or common sense. It wasn't QUALITY by any means. Just bad budget allocation.
I thought they portrayed it very well. Did you expect them to lock themselves up in a room cry all day?
Kaname never gave a fuck about them. That's why Sayu stands a chance. Because it's blank slate.
Is there any information on when this is actually set? What's with all the destroyed and decaying shit?
They don't remember shit and awoke when they are starting to awake unlike Chisaki who remembered all and was left alone for years.
Hikari also got all his family except his father around which helps.
Sea god being a dick.
I guess you weren't here for all of complaining.
>HIKARI A SHIT
>NTR NTR NTR NTR NTR
At least hikari got the character development to make him likable.
Chisaki is really is beautiful. I'm glad so many people in the show acknowledged that in the show
also do you think Manaka Sea Magic is responsible for the current and Miuna Ena
The explanation is that you're full of shit. A lot of people liked it from the start and still like it.
Those were not the days.
Also, Tsumugu development when? he doesn't even blush or do giggly shit like that when he's around Chisaki, and he already saw her Chisaki's.
>Miuna got like nothing when Hiakri returned
She got a a kiss and whole freaking episode on a deito with Hikari.
I mean the show got really good when Episode 5 Miuna Runaway episode. But it seems people who didn't like the dolis didn't like this melodramatic episode
Doesn't matter because at least she will the Hikari anyways
I'd guess Sea God magic. I don't think Manaka has powers or anything.
may she does now for being the bride>>101270586
>Wanting overly-used good.
Uroko-sama is kakkoi as fuck
>Implying he isn't so overly in love with Manaka that he won't care
Thats why Miuna has no chance in hell
Doesn't make Manaka less of a shit.
Love won't last much after Hikari finds out how much of a slut dor the sea god cock she has become.
cpr isn't kissing
I always wondered this: When Akari proposed to be the Sea god slut and marry her shitty husbando at the same time, she really tought that nothing would happen? she kept watching fish magic in her village since she was a kid, what the fuck?
Tell that to Miuna.
Oh dear, you are still watching this faggotry? I dropped it after 1st episode. Didnt expect anyone watching such shit
>implying she didn't lick Hikari's tongue and teeth while doing CPR
>she kept watching fish magic in her village since she was a kid
Besides the magic fire there really wasn't much magic going on in the village. They actually show it very clearly that even in the sea village people don't take the Ofunehiki very seriously anymore.
Thank you for informing us.
>having such shit taste
>dropping something after just 1 episode
What a faggot.
Her request was absurd though, and quite a disrespect for an old tradition.
>Implying Hikari will care
He just wants to be with Manaka, which will happen
forgot to mention that it was absurd even thought they didn't do the whole cerimonial anymore.
It was. She just didn't really think it would have any serious consequences because the Sea God religion was decadent. People didn't take him seriously anymoe.
Not after he caught the sea god NTRing him and bbecome disgusted with Manaka, which, I would guess, would be on day 1.
What I'm more excited for is who will hit the Chisaki-induced breaking point first, Kaname or Tsumugu? They can play it cool, but the cracks are showing.
>Kaname can't stop himsel
>Kisses Chisaki right infront of Tsumugu
>Tsumugu loses his shit
You know its coming
That's what I want to see as well, but I'm worried about the time. They are focusing too much on Miuna and the rest of the quintet besides Hikari and Manaka still have to be properly developed.
>Implying he will
We all know he didn't touch Manaka as he was waiting for Miuna to get ready.
>Manaka as he was waiting for Miuna to get ready.
Damn. Pixiv works fast.
Japs are cruel as fuck
Do you realize Miuna is the new narrator?
And her connection with the three I mentioned is minimal, she cannot tell their events well. She would come across with any of their affairs with Sayu or Hikari, but those two are clueless too.
The opposite might happen.
>Tsumugu finally confesses to Chisaki
>Kisses Chisaki in front of Kaname
>Chisaki reacts how Chisaki would react (pushes him away, manaka style)
>Kaname yandere eyes, or "bottom half face" close up.
>Fighto or Tsumugu is kill
This ride will never end.
Psycho-kun? Is that you?
This is my fetish
>Tsumugu is kill
Good, less one stealer. Go kill Itaru next.
When you get a shot of the sea ass.
That exact second, I thought it was a girl, then my dreams were crushed the other second later. It's fine though, a Hikari is gud.
Every time I see Kaname in his shitty sweater or whatever I think of this
>Probably Miuna drowning next episode
I don't want this
Once the sexual tension is released, I hope for a bunch of good implied fucks.
My bets, right now:
Chisaki x Tsumugu (90% chances of happening)
Kaname x Sayu (70 %)
Hikari x Manaka (60 %)
Manaka x SeaGod (40% and increasing)
Miuna alone is the most logical development, even though I'm rooting for her. But I'm starting to think Manaka won't ever come back. Some anons were saying that Miuna would replace Manaka's place as the God's wife, but I find it very unlikely.
>There seems to be a clash of opinions of those who think the Time Skip is good or not
Where? on /a/? Because here the vast majority prefers the second half by a huge margin.
The fuck you're talking about?
Anyone else dislike the new OP still?
I still don't feel it, it should be more depressing. I also dislike the interlude with Manaka.
Miuna losing her ena
I love it, especially the interlude. It gives me goosebumps and it reminds me (a little bit) of Clannad, for some reason.
>Kaname x Sayu (70 %)
I hope this happens
I know what you meant. Didn't see anything that implied that on the pv.
Me too. I used to hate Sayu before the timeskip, but now I just want to see her happy.
Poor Miuna, oh well sucks to be the loser.
Same here. She was annoying as a kid. It just took her 1 episode to grow on me, now I like her more than Miuna. I really hope she convinces Kaname to change and move on from a hopeless crush.
Who /Doli/ here?
We Sayu here.
Dolicons pls go
Fucking slut who will probably take any guy that'll want her.
>Stole Hikari's first kiss
Dammit forceful woman, he didn't even have a choice.
What a bitch, forcing herself on Hikari. Reminds me of those fat weeb horror stories.
>These obvious Manakafags
Oh man this artist
>These delusional Miunafags
W..Will Vol.1 have 10k sales?
3,5k with luck. I wonder if it can pay the production costs...
It can range anywhere from 175000 to 245000 in revenue with that amount of sales
>See, they have come together, see,
>While the destroying minutes flow
The pairings are getting pretty obvious at this point...so why is there so much suffering?
Cause Kaname doesn't know he wants Sayu yet
So have you spent your whole life so far in mommy's basement?
>Miuna's noes edition
>Miuna is Noe edition
I don't see what my den of fortitude has to do with any of this.
Because nothing is solved, nothing.
Tsumugu has almost an one-sided love because Chisaki is dumb as bricks, Kaname is persistent as fuck and time is running short for those three resolutions. Also, Hikari does not see Miuna as a woman and Sayu is pretty much one-sided as well.
The production committee pays the studio its production costs, not the BD/DVD sales. For god's sake /a/, at least know a little bit about how anime economics works.
The money they invested has to come back, y'know.
What are the REAL odds that Hikari and Miuna will happen? I mean I know it's chinese cartoons, but them being family (even if it is just marriage) makes things unlikely.
Breaks my heart
It's just that you didn't appear to realize that whatever happens in life, suffering will result. The Japanese call this "mono no aware", and it permeates everything they produce.
Haha it only gets better. I can't wait to see the tears on Miuna's face as she witnesses Manaka winning.
If Manaka comes back 0%
If Hikari is the new sea god or something like that 100% since its becoming painfully obvious Miuna is the next sea god slut
Why i don't want this
I'm still mad as all hell
Quite so, but it's not the studio that loses immediately, unless they funded the production entirely like KyoAni does sometimes. Even so, if they keep on turning silk purses into sows' ears then they won't get as much business in the long run and that will really hurt.
Oh god, the suffering.
With time it can become possible, but there's like 9 episodes left and 4 characters hanging just as desperately Miuna is. If Manaka comes back in the next 5 episodes or less, her chances become lower than 50%.
Sayu is all but confirmed at this point, I think Miuna has a solid shot because of her underwater license being handed to her. It's an easy way to get into the circle, and her leading the trio underwater makes her important enough to gain attention.
At this point it depends on Hikari. His "I'll support Manaka" plan goes to shit with the timeskip since Tsumugu isn't even mildly interested now, so it could be real easy for him to just chase after her again.
On the other hand, it could be easy for him to just leave her behind, which seems to be the basic force behind maturing for most characters, giving shit up.
Do you guys think this will be remembered by /a/ like one of the best romances animos ever done, where people still talk about years after?
It'll really depend on the ending.
>"The awakening of you two and the weak current were all just part of my plan to lure you here."
>"And now: Oyasumi"
Kubo, please go.
Maybe I'm just being retarded, but is this whole "Hikari will become new sea king" a real theory? I haven't picked up that vibe at all, so what am I missing?
Making stupid speculations is half the fun.
Especially when they become reality
I just thought there might be something that I was completely missing. I don't have a problem with it, I like the theory actually.
There were a scene where Uroko said something about protect both Hikari and Akari because they are someone's descendants.
This is perfection, really. Is this from pixiv, right?
Nothing is solved, but there are already two pretty obvious pairings: tsumugu x chisaki, and Kaname x Sayu. The latter doesn't still have any development, though. Tsumugu and Chisaki are developing really slowly, but you can already see their subconscious interactions: they look like lovers and Kaname is aware of that.
>its becoming painfully obvious Miuna is the next sea god slut
People keep saying this, but I don't really think it's that obvious. There's not much foreshadowing in that direction. It would make for a pretty bitter ending too.
>they look like lovers
They have the intimacy that follows from living together for years, but that makes them look like an old married couple rather than lovers.
Was there? When?
Only reason they say it is because of the drawings of the Legend of the Ofunehiki etc.
Degree of development:
Chances of happening:
>Chisaki and Tsumugu alone again
Kaname really has it rough. Will he finally fall in love with grandma Sayu?
In the episode when Akari and Hikari decide to leave the sea and Uroko traps them in ice.
But from what I can remember, every sea person is his descendant, they're all the children of the sea gd and the human wife, as according to the legend.
Timeskip Tsugumu has a really nice jacket.
>Kaname left in the corner
It's hopeless, anon.
There is hope.
The poor guy can never catch a break.
>I'm so fucked up
I hate you. Why you must corrupt my mind?
I feel bad for Miuna, pretty much every gets a happy ending but her.
>mfw Okada doesn't use screentime properly and doesn't develop them
Or doesn't solve Chisaki/Tsumugu/Kaname issue in a decent way.
Why does Kaname love Chisaki anyway? What does he like in her? He never said it, you just always seeing him creeping behind.
I like this guy but he's had zero focus instead of his chisakisexuality. We don't even see his parents or house, the guy just sort of exists.
She already knows that the chances to something happening between Hikari and her are is close to zero, because Manaka and Hikari are already in love with each other. It's not the same with Sayu, for example, because Chisaki doesn't see Kaname as a lover.
Nah she deserves it for stealing Hikari's first kiss.
Hopefully this second half will explore Kaname's character.
It's sort of there because they're childhood friends and Okada doesn't want to develop male characters beside Hikari, even it's pretty much urgent and there's like 10000000 openings for development there.
He loves her to he can realise Sayu is superior and move on
Okada is just shlicking to the idea of a tall, dark, mysterious and handsome stranger stealing the pretty girl from that weird creepy kid.
This is the only dude from their class that is confirmed to get laid.
And he is ugly as sin
Tsumugu pretty much steals everything as expected of landfags.
Land girls > Sea girls
Manaka was an annoyingly immature twat that is getting fucked by the sea god
Chisaki is an extremely annoying bitch who deserves no one for being extremely selfish
Miuna is best girl
If she and Sayu don't win then I'll be a very sad polar bear
Does Sayu even realize Kaname likes Chisaki?
>Tsumugu looking at Chisaki
>Miuna looking at Hikari
>Sayu look at the floor from being near Kaname
She got some hints of it when they were finishing the preparations for the Ofunehiki.
I hope Kaname and Sayu have a happy relationship and fall madly in love, then they get to watch as everyone around them suffer as they once did.
Well, they grew up as kids having nobody but each other. When he hit puberty he'd start taking interest in girls his age. It was either Chisaki or Manaka. Hikari was already taking an interest in Manaka and Hikari is clearly the alpha between the two. It's only natural.
If neither Sayu nor Miuna win, we fucking riot.
They still have a lot to explain, and I doubt they'd care about anything but his ruined relationship with Chisaki and the friendship he share with group.
>Pair the spares
That's sort of sad.
>not having the aptitude to tell that it was going to be great from the start
I'd let Tsumugu fuck my sister if I had one
>Implying you'd have a choice
Fucking waifufags shitting all over these threads again
just kill yourself
Please stop generalizing. I like Miuna a lot and root for her too, that doesn't mean I support retarded waifu wars.
Negro please its fucking Nagi no Asukara
Needlessly complicated love triangles existed since episode 1
What the fuck are you doing here then?
You're acting as though waifuwars are a rare occurrence.
By the way, Miuna a shit.
>Miuna a shit
Bring it on Miunafag
In the show, Kaname is the hot misterious guy and Tsumugu is the creepy kid in their class. Well obviously, for us the creepy kid is actually Kaname (not that he's a bad guy, but so far his nice act is mostly fake because he's actually a beta fuck) and Tsumugu couldn't be more stoic despise being a hidden alpha.
I wonder if they'll ever come back to addressing Manaka's wish to the slug. Did it give her a dull rock or a shiny rock? The new OP has a pendant that is hanging from the Ofunehiki flag.
Also I think it's pretty clear that Manaka was going to return Hikari's feelings, It's just they had to get her to be physically unreachable.
>implying she wans't going to tell him she didn't want his fish stick
>Did it give her a dull rock or a shiny rock?
It gave her the D.
it's funny that Hikari still think ManakaxTsumugu is a thing
I don't think he does
He's been nothing but bros witth Tsumugu since he came back
Her small pale vagina is getting penetrated by the big gray haired nigga
Forever tainted, why curse MC of having to be with her in the end?
he's been bros with him since 1st half even when he thought Manaka liked him
That'll have to wait until the finale, when they finally meet.
He's always been bro with tsumugu.
It's true I've been reading different blogs and it seems there is vocal minority who dislike the second cour and want the focus to ne in the original 5. They don't like the narrative perspective shift was given to Miuna from their favorite Hikari.
He was being bros with him at first for Manakas sake
I dont even remember when she asked specifically
Nah I think its the opposite. Why tear up and tell Hikari that she will tell what she wanted to tell him after the Ofunehiki during their talk in episode 13 when prior to Hikari telling her that love him nor not she'll always be precious she wanted to tell him something. If she was going to accept his feelings there was no reason to wait until after the Ofunehiki especially since that scene can be considered incredibly romantic after such a declaration. That is unless she knew what she wanted to tell him would deject Hikari, which would sour his role during the Ofunehiki.
>They don't like the narrative perspective shift was given to Miuna from their favorite Hikari.
I do like the second part, but I agree with this part.
also they think that Okada is at her worst in the second because of bawling and screaming. I don't no but Nagiasu is probably her most subtle work.
But what if I was the kind of dugtrio that hated the girls from the very beginning, but watched for the character development?
And suddenly I love the series cause focus is now on Miuna?
I always kept asking myself from the beginning why the two main girls sucked so much
And this is why, to make room for two much better ones
Thank you black Jesus, may you blood turn into wine so I can drink it alongside my Chiptole
>You're acting as though waifuwars are a rare occurrence.
They were in these threads, a few weeks ago I started visiting /a/ because the usual anime sites I go to didn't ever want to talk about it. The threads on here were really good and had tons of actual disussion about the series but every one of these threads i've come to in the last week or so is just full of
>miuna is best girl
>manaka a shit
>chisaki is best girl
>if girl x doesn't win we are rioting right guys?
It's just depressing to see how quickly the discussion has died in favour of waifu wars.
>a few weeks ago I started visiting /a/
Oh boy here we go
It's pretty much because everything has been discussed to death already.
If you have an interesting topic, feel free to post it.
there no reason for Manaka to torture Hikari like that. And the scene leading to that has Manaka seeing Hikari in a new light, as a man and dependable figure. Manaka fell for Hikari when he decide to think of others happiness. Ironic that Hikari supporting TsumuguxManaka is what gets Manaka to like him
no its more along the lines of okada creating more tension
The last episode didn't give a whole lot to talk about
>Kaname came back and only suffered a little
>Miuna ena comfirmed
Thats basically it
>I started visiting /a/ because the usual anime sites I go to didn't ever want to talk about it
Stopped reading here.
>a few weeks ago I started visiting /a/
Welcome to /a/, faggot.
at least he went to /a/ to discuss and actually good anime
I honestly want to see Tsumugu suffer a bit.
Because he is too stoic, he has to suffer some unrequited love at least for few episodes until he finally wins da Chisaki.
I'm also rooting for him with Chisaki, but I agree he needs to get more development. He's a fucking rock with eyes.
This should happen:
>I'm also rooting for him with Chisaki
So Sayu can have Kaname, you silly.
Miuna is going to lose her ena and Hikari will go back to the sea to be with Manaka...you know it in your heart that it is true
>I have to go home now Miuna...
How the fuck Miuna managed to become so vivid when she was almost a kuudere.
For some reason i thought you were talking about Kaname
The scene prior to that was Manaka telling Tsumugu that he's her sun (but), and Hikari reminiscing about Manaka's growth.
While Torturous, would that give more credence to the fact that she did not want to torture Hikari with a rejection prior to the Ofunehiki and straight after his declaration?
Maybe. But there is a reason to everything.
Because I want best girl Sayu to be happy and end up with Kaname, who also deserves happiness after all this suffering. Tsumugu and Chisaki are already out of reach: it was subtly showed in the last episode.
Love can do funny things to someone.
Why is /a/ such old lonely housewifes, discussing soap opera anime..
The suffering will come when he meets his parents at grandpa's funeral.
reminder of who Hikari's first kiss was with
I don't know, but if all you want to do is shitpost, KlK's thread is that way.
Tsumugu being the son doesn't mean she loves him. In fact she was given contrast in how she views Hikari and Tsumugu. Also, I'm willing to bet that we have yet to see the entirety of Tsumugu and Manaka's conversation on the boat?
>If you have an interesting topic, feel free to post it.
How about why miuna suddenly got an ena, even if it is incomplete? Or why only miuna and kaname heard the sand? Or what is the seagods plan even, all we know is that something bad will happen to the surface people. Maybe the seagod is trying to either force the land people back into the sea to give them their ena back and regain his strength, because I doubt he would want to kill all the land people.
Still more interesting than "discussing" harem or SoL.
I know right
It's much more interesting to discuss how Haruhi's butt smells like
I miss doli Miuna
When will fishknee come back?
Well Miuna is half fish so tthat could be the cause
But i still don't believe she has ena
I think its just from the ocean and she's in a way borrowing it? maybe. Like she can't have her own ena but she can use existing ena since she's half fish or something
Don't be so defensive, I was just kidding.
/a/ as old ladies discussing soap opera is cute
Tsumugu being her "sun" means he's out of her reach, not for touch etc etc even if he brights her day. All that basic symbolism
These topics were already discussed in Nagi threads again and again, mister newfag.
I never said that she calling Tsumugu her sun meant that she loves him, which is why I acknowledged it by putting but in a parenthesis. I was simply pointing out that the Scene prior to the talk between Manaka and Hikari wasn't her seeing him in a newer light (Hi-kun is a man!) but rather her scene with Tsumugu on the boat. You cannot say she is contrasting them because we don't know the entirety of the conversation as you said. The only thing we got is but, and we don't know if ever what the fuck came afterwards.
lel omg top lel omg kek
Until her skin doesn't start cracking, her Ena is asspull to me.
What's with Tsumugu being Manaka's sun anyways?
Dude didn't do shit except catch her in fish net and tell her that her fishknee is pretty.
Because she has a crush on him, but like the Sun she knows she'll never get to be with him.
what is with this random spam suddenly?
>Why Miuna suddenly got ena
Last week, we said its either a gift, a temporary gift or the sea god is trying to lure her in.
>What is the Sea Gods plan
The apocalypse was going to happen because Sea God's power was weakened as no one in the Sea prayed to him/worshiped him like they used to. The whole reason they were going to hibernate was to survive the Ice Age while Sea God gained his power.
We've discussed most of what you said except for the hearing of the sand.
It could tie in to what the seagod is trying to do on the surface, maybe the land people are supposed to seek refuge in the sea and find salvation in him again.
The first 2 questions are taken from the last 2 episodes and i've not seen it discussed at all the the threads i've been in
People keep mentioning KLK threads are shitposting threads and it makes KLKfags mad.
Either that /pol/ bot being tested or someone is shit posting.
So did Uroko try to kill Miuna with the crane?
Cause he's sat on it in the intro
Nah, Uroko sitting on the crane in the OP was him overseeing the gang before Manaka appears again.
The damn crane was rusted and the place was dangerous to be in the first place. It was just a plot device to push Miuna into the water so she can get her Ena.
Uroko-sama will curse Miuna with the fishknee. Make landfag's kokoro doki doki.
I WANT TO FUCK TSUMUGU
He is the cutest in OP2
What if he reverses the curse and turns Manaka into a face on a fish's knee?
>I WANT TO FUCK TSUMUGU
OH YES, MUGI-CHAN
Still no underwater-vivid.
Just watch HR already.
I'll hibernate myself.
>Hibernate too long
>Isn't up to see Miunafag tears once she loses.
Rev up them printscreen key nigga.
[Underwater-Vivid] Nagi no Asukara - 17 (720p) [253305FF].mkv
For my scenery porn collection.
You could've just used the raw then.
Underwater encodes don't magically enhance the video quality
Too much work and i like to get them while watching the episode. inb4
>not learning japanese
I know,its my fault.
Her tears are gonna be sweet. I'm gonna be so hard watching those tears roll down her face while she watches Manaka and Hikari kiss.
>Not watching the live stream despite the fact you can't into nip
Get on my level.
Refer to >>101269157
I just can't wait for all the MIUNA WINS spam
see you all in a few episodes
I just can't wait for all the MANAKA WINS MIUNAFAG TEARS ARE DELICIOUS spam.
see you all in a few episodes
but we still have 9 episodes left
>manaka winning anything
how can you be so delusional
You act as though Miunafags aren't the most delusional bunch in this thread
>but a special poster or clear file.
No, its the CD case cover. The cover with the dolis is a slip cover box and the CD case has that picture on it.
okay, miuna has been getting a lot of attention after the timeskip, shared a kiss with hikari, and has uncontrollable feelings for hikari
this leads me to believe the director is going to make her confess soon or bring those two closer together for drama
while manaka was just a writing scapegoat where she was portrayed as the purest character, yet in the end she made the 'ultimate sacrifice'
she could be dead or sleeping for thousands of years
but knowing drama she will wake up soon
when she wakes up she will see tsumugu is infatuated with chisaki, hikari will still come after her but she still can't respond to his feelings because "i dont get those types of things!" card will be played
and, this is just my own hopes, she will jump back into sea because some greater disaster will resurface like a double hibernation because one wasn't enough
and manaka will be gone
Waiting for a doujinshi where Kaname gets back from school early and catches Tsumugu balls deep inside Chisaki while she is screaming but instead of saying Tsumugu, she calls out for Hikari.
Oh my god. The ensuing trolling would be at the scale of " 'Sup Mugi." I want thist.
This is my fetish
I'm starting to miss Manaka
>Underwater encodes don't magically enhance the video quality
They actually do (or they -could- do). Since Underwater encodes from a .ts file, they can easily offer the highest quality possible while most raw groups only cap straight from the broadcast (I'm not actually sure how many raw groups encode from a .ts).
Instead of waiting for it I think I should just draw the damn thing. Not sure how it will come out though.
Damn, the scene where tsumugu came in while kaname is standing up and wanting to get closer to chisaki was hard to watch.
This is horrible but sort of funny because Kaname gets two stabs in his heart and Tsumugu gets one, it's like double NTR. Brilliant.
Remember this face.
Are there anything like this before? If no, damn...You are truly a master.
It was hilarious.
Oh boy I remember the amount of NTR talk we had in the first threads for this series, I feel like that time is back.
The sad piano play got the mood right, i feel you kaname.
I've seen the images from the scene before watching this, but shit man,
>that sudden movement stop
>that surprised tone afterward
I'm thinking once we get the symbolism of the red umbrella, we know what Miuna's role in the story is.
He's going to lose his shit before this is over
You remember Tsumugu is the best sportman of the group, able to carry a girl of his age when he was 14 while Kaname is a prissy pretty princess?
>Liking male landfags
Finally got around to watch the episode. That scene with Sayu and Psycho was probably one of the cutest of the series so far.
>Hikari x Miuna and Sayu x Kaname
After the initial shock he then cools off by fucking Sayu. Even though she is happy about it, he will never give her the love she deserves because he wants Chisaki. Sayu is just his cock sleeve when he feels down and needs to let some steam off.
Googling it, the Red Umbrella is a term of solidarity for Venetian Sex Workers, so no.
But, 2 things. In China a Red Umbrella is held over the head of a Bride by a Bridesmaid as the Bride is leaving with the groom as sort of like a good luck charm because a red umbrella is supposed to ward off evil spirits.
Now in Japan, we've also seen that the Umbrella is supposed to mean some sort of unity between two opeople if we go by those graffiti umbrella with two peoples names on each side of the umbrella.
In the end, I don't know.
Dunno about that, the girls in Miuna's class were all over Tsumugu's cock when Hikari joined and before that he was the master sportsman of his class: best runner, best swimmer, etc.
Agreed on Kaname being the most handsome friendly popular one.
Why is Tsumugu a gary stu. Really.
Most like being the creepy handsome awesome stoic guy? girls would barely talk with anyone like that and just admire from afar.
He's way too boring to be a gary stu.
I guess we will be seeing this face again later.
Hikari's the loud supporter who is pushy and overprotective also very emotional, wants to take the lead and is self concious about his feelings too. He's brash and optimistic. Some girls like that.
Tsumugu's the stoic, reliant smart/tough guy who is a mystery about what he feels but he's kind, open mind and generous, good listener who is able to lift a girl of his age easily. Some chicks dig that.
Kaname is the friendly, charming supporter who seems cheerful like Hikari but suppresses as much as Tsumugu who is always there to watch the back of his friends, even if he has to do something they won't like. Some chicks dig that.
The three are 100% husbandos material. They are different flavors.
>can't even win the girl he loves
Is Chisaki really still lusting over Hikari's shota dick?
On a normal speculah level I can say that the red umbrella symbolizes attention
the spotlight has shifted to miuna and we the viewer are experiencing more of her worries, thoughts, mannerisms, etc
on a speculah level where im drunk I can say that since red is 赤 or 'aka' in japanese
and she is now accepting akari as her mother now
so she is now in the care or UNDER the care of her mom aka-ri
Hikari looks like a beta, but some girls dig his personality, looks average. Tsumugu looks alpha, talks like a alpha, acts like a alpha but when shit gets real he does absolutely nothing, Kaname can act alpha, girls dig his looks from get go but probably is the biggest beta and loser of them all.
It could be symbolizing the passing of love to hikari, from manaka to miuna and from miuna to manaka after she awakes.Sounds stupid but i got nothing else.
Doesn't make sense with the final part with the Umbrella coming down and Manaka catching it though.
Miuna is really taking after Hikari here, although for different reasons.
Miuna is doesn't want to change because it'll mean losing Hikari. Hikari doesn't want to change because he doesn't want to make things more of a shock for Manaka.
It's very endearing.
who is to say that isn't part of the grand plan
manaka makes a comeback and steals all attention away from miuna
She wants all the dicks.
But Miuna is the one catching the umbrella, not Manaka.
>Manaka comes back
>She's aged 5 years
>Hikari can't handle it
And that's why Miuna will lose.
Yeah...no. Miuna's uniform has long sleeves and she's walking with the group, Manaka's uniform has no sleeves at all.
Miuna is wearing her winter uniform, the one catching it is sleeveless. Plus the fact that they do not show who catches it, its pretty much obvious that its Manaka.
I love it because of that and because of how much Miuna cares for her little fish but I hate that in all likelihood she'll lose.
The episode ost is great, now that we are in the second part of the anime, will there be any soundtrack for the first part?
Pic related, kaname can be a sad manwhore of the town later.
>the one catching it is sleeveless
Trash Can-chan must be so mad.
Uroko please you hands are not little girl's hands.
The arms weren't that manly though.
Either Sayu confirmed for genre-aware character, or she's an otaku.
Sayu will win
Or we riot
To change or not to change that is the question. To change is to mature but if we change too much or force ourselves to change, then we're losing ourselves. There must be a balance. The key is on the "what will make this character develop and grow up?"
Manaka was the one who changed the fastest. She was always swimming ahead of her group. She changed herself by becoming brave, her feelings also changed in respect of Hikari, who she began to see like a man, stopping to be blinded by the sunlight. Her change was too fast she is now frozen and out of reach: unchanging.
Hikari changed too, for love, he changed the interpretation of his feelings and his views of the surface. He was open to changes as long he keeps his precious people like his family and friends. The changes now confuse him, after the world became so different but so alike. He doesn't want to change because he doesn't want to upset Manaka, it's not about his feelings but hers.
Miuna wanted Hikari to remain unchanged while she changed her appearance. She wished for it, selfishly deep in her heart. She got her wish but this was to face unrequited love. Now she wants to never change in her stubborn love but she's already changing: the ena, the strange sounds she is. She claims to not want change but she's hypocritical, because if she doesn't change, then she can't access to Hikari's world.
She said manga, not anime. She's a normalfag.
Hmm. While it looks like it's falling towards them, you may be right about the sleeveless arm belonging to someone else. I reserve my better judgement until a future episode.
anime characters never watch anime
>umbrella blows again in the beginning
>she looks up to see where the umbrella is
>catches a glimpse of someone catching it
Manaka's post time skip design must be different in one way or another. We knew about the rest's designs before episode 14's premier thanks to >>101282494 , and even in 14 proper we only saw Chisaki's before the OP gave away the others. Sure, we got that little snippit of Manaka resting and flashbacks, but thats it. Where there's smoke, theres fire and the total lack of official Manaka art means there is a change, either her dressed in Sea God's waifu regalia or physical change. The fact that it only shows her hand and wrists in the OP only clouds it more.
>Implying Anime characters don't watch Anime
It's Miuna in her summer uniform catching the umbrella. The end of the OP represents the return of summer. I love how this show speaks through its backgrounds. PA Works does wonders to this show
>implying thats anime and not something like japan teletubies
Where did the fucking remote go
Normalfags by our standards don't even read manga.
>tfw Manaka doesn't return untill the last half of the last episode
>tfw its hundreds of years in the future and everyone else already lived their lives
possible foreshadowing right there
The theme of the show is change, if we go by that then none of the characters will get their childhood crush, they will either end up alone (but probably still mates) or with someone other than their childhood crush
Shes an alien dog wolf, the remote probably got teleported back to the table.
>Goes to the gravesite
>'I have something to tell you Hikari, something I didn't get to to tell you. I lo-'
>She sees the gravestone next to it
Manaka fags, please. You're making a fool out of yourself.
She telling Miuna that is foreshadowing that she'll win but Miuna not
>that entire post
It's quite an interesting interpretation, considering the symbolism/foreshadowing in both OP/ED 1 and 2 like how the last shot of ED1 was manaka underwater, frozen/asleep and in the new ED she always seems to be out of reach of the other characters, but still close.
The symbolism in this show is great.
>Pointing obvious foreshadowing in the OP
What, I'm not even that fond of Manaka and fond her indecision annoying for good part.
Just a couple weeks left until I can gather enough Miunafag tears to use as lube.
C'mon man. At least some effort into it.
>etc fag except maybe akari
>Implying there Akarifags
If there are, how is it like knowing that Akari is a home-wrecking slut who caused the apocalypse because she couldn't keep her legs closed in front of her best friends husband.
They all talk about not wanting to change yet they have all changed.
Miuna is going to be like Hikari from the first half, shes going to support her love interest so that theyre happy. The red umbrella represents love towards Hikari.
She dead, he is a fair game.
She caused it by upstaging sea god at Ofunehiki and hijacking it into her own wedding.
Akari a shit.
We dont know that for sure, might be interesting if that issue will come back later to haunt her.
Movie to finish it all off. Final Timeskip, Akira as MC
What was with all the shitty 3DCG this episode? I didn't notice it so much in previous ones, but certain scenes this time were actually painful. One that stuck out was Kaname running over to Sayu.
It was glorious
Yeah, that scene was pure CG. I didn't mind though, it was too cute.
The only CGI there was the ground
I noticed some when sayu and miuna were talking on the dock, kinda an odd place for it
It was cute, but it was also jarring. The moment he stepped out of the shadows I realized something felt very off about the movement... Why couldn't they have just animated it normally?!
The panning scene? I think that was background only (correct me if I'm wrong though), so it wasn't too bad. Still, it was an odd choice. I guess I'm just not used to CGI in my SOL/drama shows.
The movement feels off because it's single frame animation.
Just framestep through the scene and you will see
And how does this look like CGI?
Reminder that our friendly neighborhood transporter, Train-sama, shall ruin Miuna's day.
Suffering inbound, and the train has no brakes.
The way those black lines on the back of Sayu's hair shrink, grow, and shift seem like CG. I don't know if all of it is but it was more than just the ground.
Sayu is turning into one of the best things about the timeskip.
I'm not going to pretend I know shit about animation, but Google just brings up results for "stop motion" when given the query "single frame animation", so that doesn't help.
The only thing that made me suspect they might be using CGI is the fact that the characters in that scene were moving like they were 3D models.
after watching blue steel, this whole scene probably isnt CG
a lot of anons were talking about how much budget they put into this episode so I figures it was just good animation
I'll make one once this one dies.
Gonna post on foolz the new one?
That or I'll post it once this one reaches page 10
