So in Cowboy Bebop, the episode Jupiter Jazz Part 2, was Faye raped? There's a scene at the beginning where she struggles with Gren off camera, and then it cuts. When it comes back, she's in cuffs on the bed when Jet finds her. And then she acts all mopey and does nothing for the rest of the episode. I always wondered if Gren raped her. He seemed like a lonely guy, he probably gave up trying to have sex ever since his body went all weird on him and growing breasts. That guy must have been fucked up inside.
I think he just handcuffed her and left her there unconscious
Yea, that is totally what happened. After the raping.
Faye wasn't raped.
Faye's Character: Wants to get to a point where she can be closer to people again since, after all, all her family and friends are dead.
In Jupiter Jazz: Faye gets close to a human (Gren) in a completely platonic way. It allows her to do some honest reflecting.
When Gren turns out to be affiliated with someone who MIGHT have molested her (we have no idea what Viscious and his goons did before spike came in "Ballad of Fallen Angels") she freaks and pulls her gun on him. When she learns his story, and realizes Gren is going off to fight Viscious with the intention of dying in the process, she gets angry. Here's a person she was getting to know, who she had begun to empathize with, giving up on life. She tries to stop him. Gren stops her and knocks her out, leaves her on the bed cuffed.
Gren doesn't rape her, and actually leaves her on the most comfortable place to be cuffed. He/She knows that Faye would try to stop him/her otherwise.
The only time Faye was possibly assaulted was when Viscious had her.
wasn't Gren full blown homo anyway?
I am educated on this subject. If your hormones are so goofed up that you grow big boobs, your testosterone levels are probably too low to maintain an erection unless you are very well stimulated or on viagra.
you make some good and valid points, but I don't think it necessarily means that he didn't rape her.
Gren was physiologically incapable, not to mention full-blown Homo.
she wasn't raped.
I always assumed that Gren was a very sexually confused person. He was originally male, so I like to think that he always liked girls, but the drugs also forced homosexual desires in him, and ever since he just never knew what he wanted. I think it's entirely possible that he raped her.
>Stick to the text.
She was not in any way.
Faye died a virgin due to blueballing everyone close to her
Her placid, forlorn demeanor make it obvious to all but the densest of imbeciles that she had nothing unpleasant done to her. If something that obvious confuses you, you should probably devote more time to children's books where you will be confused less often. Seriously, you have to be impressively stupid to misinterpret that scene.
>He was originally male, so I like to think that he always liked girls
You do realize that dudes can like dudes right?
Gren's dick probably doesn't even work. I seriously doubt he raped her.
