Who here watches their anime the way it was meant to be seen? On a big screen tv
it's the real way
I like the Pacific Rim poster
There's no other way.
I watch it on a 32 inch. Does that count?
>owning a Japanese TV in the 21st century
>tfw my laptop got ran over when I got hit by a car
>tfw lost over 600 gigs of chinese cartoons
>tfw can't watch on my tv anymore
>tfw haven't been able to watch anniemay in the past 2 months
Why is satsuki fighting onestars?
That's why you buy an external HDD you newfaggot.
i dont want to scare you but, there is someone behind that curtain man
His external HDD would've probably been run over, too.
Such pale feet.
people dint do this?
I do. Made Jojo more fun to watch.
No, most people don't have their entire room upside down.
No, only Australians fap with hand sanitizer.
How does everything stay up there? Glue? Tacks?
Of course! I stream all my anime on the Crunchyroll app on my AppleTV. The quality can't be beat.
ya don't know how I managed that
This is cute, if I were a nerdy girl I would let you fuck me.
sage for viral marketing
What's wrong with Sharp?
I don't, because I'm a poor 3rd worlder.
i watch on my phone or computer, anime anywhere and everywhere. get on my level plebs!
I do that too.
I just use the tv for shows like Attack On Titan and KLK
I have a 60" tv with a great sound system in my living room that I never use. I haven't even turned it on in the past three months. I even have it connected to my home server.
I watch everything on my 24" monitor with headphones. Pic related. It's what my computer setup looks like except my monitors are all the same size and fucking lined up.
The more I look at those misaligned monitors the more uncomfortable I get
Pixel Density>Screen Size
Japanese consumer electronics in general have taken a considerable dip in quality over the years. It's not just Sharp, there are many other Japanese electronics manufacturers showing signs of weakness.
They're still better than American or Chinese TVs, but nowadays, if you want a TV, Samsung or LG is your best bet.
I pity the peasants who can't take part in this pleasure.
You mean like this?
Gook scum, please go.
Good to know you can easily knock down and break that tv
My desktop, a PS3, and some external drives are back there. I can't push it back any further.
I don't think I've ever knocked a TV off, anyway.
I like your desktop. Good taste.
>I don't think I've ever knocked a TV off
I never knocked down a TV either, until I did.
I used to have a 42" but a cap burned out so now I'm using this 32". I run it off my media server.
Do you guys just hook up your computer to your tv through an hdmi?
>Currently watching Crest of the Stars
I like you.
actually angular diameter is the most important, dpi doesnt really matter after a point
I do it for movies sometimes, not often for TV shows.
>People using shitty LCD TVs
I wish I could watch cartoons with you.
I used to have an FW900, but it died recently.
>but nowadays, if you want a TV, Samsung or LG is your best bet.
>not getting a Panasonic plasma while you still can
Also, picture related.
What are you watching on?
That couch is way too close to that TV
Found myself a cheap android player for $100 that I can hook up my externals to and it plays chinese cartoons on my tv fine. Downside is that 10bit software decoding slows playback to a crawl so I have to go wait for 8-bit encodes if I don't want artifacts to show up.
I don't have the viewing angles for two people.
Not when you're laying down on it with your head on the pillow end.
If Daiz says so.
Just use Deadfish.
I dunno why Deadfish gets the shit it gets from this board
Those worn machines told me that you were a a fun time bro.
What happened to being excited to go to the school's library to cram in front of the little TV and catch an episode of Pokemon with the other kids?
Just forget it.
I use Universal Media Server to stream from my computer to my PS3.
I-I grew up and got old.
I do. Thomku are viable too. HorribleSubs is a bit shaky this season because of Funimation's retarded file sizes.
Why's your monitor so shit?
Most of the time I watch on my computer.
I just play the file directly on the TV or on the phone
How does that end up looking?
I use my Wii U to watch anime on my TV.
You should go outside. It looks good out there.
Pretty damn good. I set the transcoding quality to maximum so I can't tell any difference between watching the file on my computer and watching it on my TV.
I'd recommend that you use an ethernet cable to connect your PS3 to your router, rather than using wireless or you'll get slowdown.
I watch it the way it's meant to be watched: on my vita while I'm having a shit
If you're gonna go for a setup like that, why not get a kick ass couch instead of a chair?
What do guys like this do when all of those DVDs get BDs?
yes,i haven't watched an anime on a actual computer monitor for years(7-8?),i dont miss it one bit
I use my Roku
That photo's ancient.
Also a single chair set up for just you is far more comfortable than a couch could ever be.
I watch it on a computer monitor from my bed, which is basically like watching it on a TV, NEET style.
It's not bad enough to justify buying a new one, especially since getting those cheap 27" Korean monitors is a pain around here.
I'll probably just wait for 4K monitors before I buy something to replace the current one.
50 inch Samsung 6800 series Smart TV here. Looks wonderful; I pity those who don't watch on a tv.
Only problem is having to watch episodes multiple times to get screencaps.
Does Wii U even have file support for MKVs? Or Hi10p?
Why is plasma better than LCD? Isn't plasma more expensive also?
Those are VH tapes.
I remember you from that other thread. Was that pink thing a duvet or something?
Captcha: nteetgo submit
Use an external harddrive, plug it into my laptop which is in my room, plug my laptop into the tv with an HDMI cable, and control the laptop from in bed with my Android.
This is why Daiz switched to Hi10p. He doesn't want anyone with inferior hardware to him to watch anime. He's a bully.
Should just wait for the 8k monitors.
Sad that the WiiU doesn't add up to a ten year old PC.
Yep, I use a Chromecast to stream the video to my 65-incher.
Hurr durr faggot.
>Implying Sony TV's arent the best om the market.
Stay delusional anon.
Only because my sisters watch with me and watching it crowded around a laptop is pretty awkward
>not making your own TV
>being part of the botnet
The outside is only good for light, nothing else.
I watch on a 46"
this is for when I have friends and the occasionalgrill over, I normally prefer my computer monitor.
Plasma has hands-down the best picture quality, black levels and viewing angles. Also, shit like burn-in that people without a clue like to shout about are basically total non-issues these days. The downsides are that plasmas tend to use more electricity and they're also heavier.
Also, with plasma, you get what you pay for and Panasonic plasmas have fantastic value for their price - at least for now when they're still available. They're not making any new ones anymore, so if you're looking for a new TV, I would very much recommend getting a Panasonic 50- or 60-series plasma while you still can.
It's an old picture but the setup hasn't changed at all since taking it.
with 3D glasses sometimes
The only TV I have access to is in the living room, and there's usually people close by.
>Plasma has hands-down the best picture quality, black levels and viewing angles.
Versus LED-backlit IPS panels? I think not.
Against something at the same price point you're correct though.
Just watched the latest KLK on my 32" but the screen is outdated.
The laptop image was better.
>It's an old picture but the setup hasn't changed at all since taking it.
>lel let me just grab a random pic off of a BS thread on /g/ and pass it off as my own
Do chinese cartoons even do 3D?
What's next to Panasonic's plasma if it's extinct in here?
No but the Tv makes it 3d,If the settings is correct
I have a 42" no-name brand ("Konka") that I bought because of superior response time for gaming.
Its colour reproduction is pretty shit though, but I still use for anime when I can be bothered switching my audio over.
>Dat couch setup for lying down and watching
Not wide enough.
That is fucking bizarre and somewhat intriguing.
I'm guessing the notion of 2D being given any kind of 3D treatment
Huh? It's enough to watch mediocre anime with my 24" monitor.
I offer a cinema for actually good anime.
Gonna watch Rebellion on a real screen.
U jelly, TV-fags?
Is it because of the camera angle or the rightmost monitor settings are a bit off?
Only get the 3D feeling with mecha and action show, using 3D setting for SOL is kinda akward
Spoken like a true neckbeard.
>Gonna watch Rebellion on a real screen.
Tomorrow, right? I'm going, too.
It's just two streams of data. The same way 3D on the monitor isn't really 3D, it's just an illusion of depth on a 2D screen.
>they are not the same model
Holy shit what are you even doing?
I'm curious how the TV does it. I guess some kind of FG/BG detection and basic rotoscoping?
I have a plasma but lately i dont even bother with removing my monitor thats blocking it and just watch there. Considering selling it.
I suggest selling your internal organs instead.
It's like the fuzzy screen you get in cinemas but you need to set it first
So you want proof that it's my setup? Here, is my Norio Wakamoto signature good enough?
>It's like the fuzzy screen you get in cinemas but you need to set it first
No, I don't mean how does it create the 3D effect in your vision. I mean how does it create depth data from a video stream that has none.
Oh Daiz, you card~
Thanks for saving KLK for us plebs
Daiz, I know the hating you thing is just an epic may may, but don't make me actually hate you.
Yes they're slightly curved but they're all running the same temperature (kelvin) and they look the right to me.
They sold out of the model I had for the first two screens, but I realized that if I bought an IPS I could place it in front of the other two non-IPS screens and completely remove the massive bevel on them.
I want to jack off using your hand.
>he didnt see daiz posting it months upon months ago
Fuck off newfag.
I usually watch anime on my CAD monitor. My other monitor is a piece of shit.
I don't know about that,I just plug in the HDMI cable and use the 3D setting
/a/ and /g/ have a lot of cross traffic.
I visit both myself.
I only watch anime on my T.V.
I don't own a monitor.
I know it's fun to shit on daiz but for once he is right. Plasma's are king when it comes to picture quality, black levels, and viewing angles.
I have a monitor that I only bought when I busted my laptop screen the night before an assignment was due
I can't be assed to move it up and down my desk though
I have a $2000 47" Samsung TV
And yes that 3D effect is real and available for all forms of medias, at the very least it adds a noticeable depth of field
Watching Kyokai no Kanata with it is fucking enjoyable
iirc, it uses image analysis and processing during the decoding process, most likely edge detection, then pulls solid forms it can find forward, so when you wear the special 3D glasses for the TV it makes those items appear to stand out in front you the BG. It looks a lot like looking at a 3DS with the 3D turned on.
Not the best, but still gives an interesting effect.
That said it for some reason works better with live action things probably because those almost always already have DoF which is easier for edge detection than flat art and gradients.
Plasma or Korean monitor?
Can't lie, I kinda like that setup. Wish my room was bigger so I could do that. Alas it isn't
citation? Just google it. Every single video site will tell you a plasma is better.
Plasma. My korean monitor experience is limited.
Here's just one example:
Sort by rating and show 100 entries.
All reference level entries are either Panasonic plasmas, Pioneer Kuros or crazy expensive curved OLEDs not aimed at regular consumers (whereas Panasonic plasmas are). Beyond the reference level tier, highly recommended is also full of Panasonic plasmas.

His ultimate goal is to kill anime.
However, you can stop him. Spread this list!
Just like any and all fansubber
>His ultimate goal is to kill anime.
Well he succeeded.
He's also admitted to hating the poor.
Hasn't Daiz been dead since Rinne no Lagrange?
>still waiting for subs
Yes. Just some imposter now.
You room looks like shit
>sucking Daiz cock
Get the fuck out, fag.
It's frightening at just how good the Pioneer Kuro's were. All these years later and their still considered one of the best TV's ever made.
>Having grills over
I hate being NEET
It's not too late to change your life, anonymous
What monitor is that?
On the desktop side, there's enough improvements to counter the Metro leakage, and Metro itself is easy enough to ignore.
>Multiple different browsers open
>IE being open ever
Ever heard of web development?
Botnet best browser.
Been thinking about going back to Firefox recently though, Chrome 32 is an awful update and Chrome has been going into some annoying directions in general.
>All that shit in the taskbar
Some of us actually use our computers.
Wouldn't have a Norio Wakamoto signature otherwise. I took that picture on the day I came home from the con.
>Only one shitty monitor
It's decent for a TN panel, and while I'd love to have a second monitor I simply don't have room for it (and sadly the TV isn't very usable as a secondary monitor, even though it technically also acts as one).
>Open PC case
I keep it closed most of the time, but sometimes I feel lazy after cleaning it and leave it open for a while.
>Heatsink fan in a pull setup
The top fan isn't even connected, but feel free to enlighten me on the subject anyway, I can admit that I haven't paid much attention to optimal case flow (stuff generally runs cool enough for me as long as I dust regularly).
I don't like housefires.
But really, AMD GPUs have good bang for buck, especially when I built this system.
>Heatsink fins on your RAM
They were like that out of the box and it was a very decently priced 4x4GB DDR3 package.
If you're the real Daiz, why are you such a faggot?
You know I used to look up to you, now you're getting closer and closer to SHiN level faggotry.
I love you.
I like you daiz, when people fling shit at you you stay calm. Now hurry up and finish Rinne.
Its a Dell Ultrasharp U2311H
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE THIS.
All these plebs
best and only way to do it.
At least they don't have shitty cameras and eye-cancer brightness
>That left monitor
Holy fuck, wut.
Ah fuck it someone else do it.
Not your personal blog you faggot
I wait and only watch BD rips on my 52" cheap tv
the only choice
dont use vlc for my anime i use mpc for it. vlc is just there from when i use to have it a while ago never uninstalled it so it just sits there staring at me and about chrome n games meh. to each their own.
Left is 42 inch tv Right is a 40 inch tv
Am i late
Can't watch anime in lounge due to people always being round and my room is too small for a big TV.
Im thinking of buying a +55" 4k tv when the price have dropped some.
Yeah DLNA stream everything to my PS3 on my 42" tv that's about 2 meters away from my PC.
>Xbox 360 controller
>no xbox 360
I don't get it.
Xbox controller is for his pc I'm assuming
I couldn't get the lighting to not suck. You rich anons make me jealous.
I have a 4k TV, watching anime on it looks like absolute shit. Hell, everything does except 4k blu rays. I say wait until TV ups their native to something higher than 1080p.
This, whenever I feel like playing pc games on tv I use that.
Fuck you motioninjoy for working like crap with my ps3 controller.
not bad anon, you just need a better sound system and you're good. Oh and you should try vapor cigs.
I make $50k a year, its not really being rich its just having a job, which I doubt half of the anons on /a/ have one, whether its do to NEET or underage b&
>those cables under the pc
Is it a Sony?
What's wrong with chrome?
My brothers and I watch anime on our 46" Samsung 7 series. I have to run a 25ft hdmi cable from my room to the living room though.
I always plug my notebook on my 42'' LED to watch animes. It's glorious.
Panasonic P60ST60 master race here. The last of its kind ;__;7
I bought a ZT60 last year. It's a shame plasma's were never marketed like LCDs.
Thankfully Samsung hired all the ex Pioneer Kuro engineers so hopefully they can carry on where Panasonic left off.
Buy a couple of 800+ lumen cool white LED bulbs.
>I bought a ZT60 last year.
Someone's got quite a bit of extra money at hand, I see.
I'd probably do the same if I did too.
why are plasmas all so big? i just want a 30ish inch TV. are there any good ones?
I watch it on an iPad in a pizzeria with a couple of friends
The only part I like about my setup is the TV. School issued laptop HDMI'd to small TV, with USB Apple laptop I found laying around. Depressing. Anyone know how to fix that blue tinge on the screen? I calibrate the colour and that fixes it but the tinge just comes back whenever the TV turns off.

It all begins when we sever the threads of fate
I was trying to be someone I'm not
In a cramped world
with no breathing room
As I walked down my runway
I thought I'd conceal it
Behind the smile that masked my face
but it doesnt work on you
you always see through my facade
nobody has ever unraveled me like this before

nobody else can pull these outfits off
a somewhat ambiguous fever
threatens to burn our hearts away
It all begins once we rein in the threads of fate
a new day will dawn for us

>samsung hiring jap engineer
There's no way a jap will ever aid and abet the enemy
You could even playback anime in 24hz... but that's only if your TV supports 24hz input
tfw my setup looks almost EXACTLY like this
>window on the left
>little table near head of bed
>no mouse pad
The major difference is my Blue mic and smokes on the table.
>not going extra step further by installing soundproofing materials to the wall in the theater room.
That would be awesome if you had a bigger tv.
They aren't even close to being the best
I CANNOT and WILL NOT watch anime on my PC/Laptop anymore. They are very distracting.
I use Universal Media server, turn on my PS3, and then put the videos onto my PS3 overnight.
This room somehow look cozy as well, despite it being so plain. Must be the placement of your couch.
Phillips are way worth it.
You are not supposed to install your radiator in front of a closet.
Watching on a 13" macbook. But I rarely watch anime anymore, nowadays I just read Manga on my iPad retina.
I only read manga on my Ipad and watch Anime on TV.
Cannot do this shit on PC/laptop anymore. I always end up browsing 4chan in the end.
>letting light in your room
It's 14:53 and this is what it looks like when I'm watching TV.
I sure do.
Old picture but you get the point
My roku won't display subs. how do.
>the way it was meant to be seen?
Raw, with commercials, and at 4 in the morning?
Yep. Everything on a Panasonic Viera GT50.
Here mine. I don't have space for a sofa so I watch from the bed.
Why are you so gay?
Since I've started, I won't ever fucking go back to my 24" monitor.
Watching it on a big tv is the best. I don't get how people can stand looking at their computer monitor to watch it, especially when they're using a small screened laptop.
anon, you are destroying your eyes
you need some ambient lighting
