I should have only watched M.D. Geist 1, #2 just blows.
Why exactly did Geist want to kill everyone?
He was trained as a super soldier/killing machine, but his "programming" went haywire and started attacking everyone.
So they imprisoned him in a fucking satellite.
Wouldn't you want to kill everyone?
What's the matter? Too deep for you?
I genuinely enjoyed MD Geist (#1 at least, haven't watched #2)
That super rad 80's ultraviolence and cool mech/vehicle design made up for the bad animation
If it helps, I got it off metalsucks.
Well, it probably doesn't.
What was it that that guy did, again?
They're both shit.
According to wikipedia he diddled some kiddles
There, now read the whole thing.
I'll fucking hit you, you son of a bitch. Death Force was awesome
>Literal messiah of the death force leading his robotic army across the desert to the promised land
This is exactly how I feel. Who needs character development or plot when you have HUGE GUTS?
no wasn't he created to be a genetic super soldier? he wasn't trained he was born to kill
problem is a soldier can't live without a battlefield, so he want and caused another war to start at the end of the first film
I really miss those 80s/90s ultra-violent OVAs.
Quality aside, they were fun in their own way.
that moment when he shows up, with that music, and then him and the other guys eyes meet
its still fucking good till this day
>Not available in your country
Well, fuck you too.
80s hyperviolence is what we need to save anime.
What others did Koichi Ohata do?
He can't stop, he's just a soldier
And what's a soldier without war?
The fuck, man?
try this one anon
again that scene when their eyes meet
this scene was also bad ass
>tfw Blue Gender is one of your favorite anime and most people seem to hate it.
I've never even seen it discussed. Why would anyone hate it?
Just as great as I remembered.
Usually, it just goes
>MATURE ANIME FOR MATURE PEOPLE SUCH AS MYSELF
And the like.
I want to die
I haven't watched Blue Gender since its extremely limited run on either Toonami or Adult Swim
I hardly remember a thing about it other than giant alien bugs
It was heavily censored and edited on Toonami, though.
Here, by yours truly.
My coworker recommended it to me when I was just getting into anime, so I downloaded it to watch with her at her place.
Turns out it was WAY too hardcore for her, I don't know why she acted like she'd watched it when she was little. After the first episode we just stopped and I left because she was getting worked up into a tizzy. I never did wind up going back to finish watching it.
All this close mindedness and 'stop liking what I don't like' pretty much gurantees we'll never get anything like md geist or blue gender ever again.
She probably watched the Toonami version
Although that is kind of a retarded way to recommend something, if you don't even have proper memory of it
I'm sure the second quote was meant for >>101249808, not me.
It was indeed meant towards >>101249808, sorry for the confusion
Yeah, well, she wasn't very bright. To put it nicely. Good friend, though.
That's the good shit.
And there's really nothing so upsetting in BG to justify that sort of reaction.
It's not like it was fucking Genocyber.
I remember it being pretty gorey with lots of death on screen. Realistically we should have been watching something like K-ON or YuruYuri, which would have been more her speed, but I was very new to anime and the only other series I knew was YuYu Hakusho.
BG was pretty extreme, it wasn't as gory as Genocyber, but it killed off a lot of key characters with no buildup in like a three second scene. They'll be talking one frame and the next they'll be painting the walls red. It was very shocking.
I didn't like BG's dub (not that I ever like any), but I actually liked the English version for the OP better.
So energetic yet melancholic.
I didn't say there wasn't gore and deaths, but you there's far worse stuff out there.
Unless she's never really watched any sort of bloody violence, it stills seems like overreacting.
Are you still friends? Get here to watch Urotsukidoji.
>Unless she's never really watched any sort of bloody violence, it stills seems like overreacting.
That's exactly it. Unfortunately I haven't seen her since I graduated uni over a year ago.
Wasn't Blue Gender about the spirit of the earth sending the bugs to wipe out most of man, since mankind was too dangerous?
I can understand hating elfen leid, that crap was nothing but shock value. But Blue Gender had some serious character development
Then she either hadn't watched BG, or watched the Toonami cut (And this is going by assumptions, because I never watched that version, but I don't expect much form the people that gave everyone in SEED disco pistols).
What is Google Images
>since mankind was too dangerous
More like because there were too damn many of them. But this is a pretty generic plot device no matter which way you look at it.
Yeah, pretty much.
And that's one of the things I don't like about /a/, just because it has some gore and blood in it they ignore the fact that it had a pretty good handling of a not-so-original premise, along with great music, good animation for its time, and incredible character development, especially for Marlene.
But of course, that's just, like, my opinion.
When I was just getting into anime someone recommended that to me so I watched the dub since I didn't know better and it wasn't very good.
Not bad though. I should watch it again.
I can find a link myself thank you very much.
Whatever dude, fuck you.
I was just trying to be nice.
We aren't retards here. Girls like you don't know what it's like to not be a retard.
It's just that I uploaded that torrent.
Whatever bro no need to cry about it.
I see that Koichi Ohata is also the director of Maken Ki. What's it like?
Why don't you watch it for yourself, loser?
Because I'm in australia and downloading a season of stuff takes three days.
So fucking what? It's not like you'd watch it right away even if it downloaded instantly.
But if I'm going to cap my net for three days I want to make sure it's worth it. And why wouldn't I watch it right away if it downloaded instantly? Come on man I just want to know what kind of anime it is. It's not like I can trust MAL reviews or anything like that. It's my favourite director but it doesn't seem like the kind of anime he makes nor the kind of anime I usually enjoy so I'm torn on whether or not I should invest my internet connection into this.
It's awful, echii garbage that even fails at providing good fanservice.
There, spared you the bandwidth.
If you weren't so mundane you'd download it for the director no matter what. Even if you think you'll dislike it.
A tiny bit of slower internet is nothing, stop whining.
>from 2 to 14 years
>22 images of beastiality
What the ungodly fuck
>If you weren't so mundane you'd download it for the director no matter what.
Not him, but as a fan of Oshii/Tomino/Takahashi, the reason I watch anything they make without thinking twice is because they never drift too far away from home.
Maken-ki is nothing like Ohata's previous work.
I couldn't even finish the whole thing, I had to close it.
Bump because more people need to read that shit.
Why would God allow that to happen to those kids?
I love it so fucking much.
80s hyperviolence is the best thing ever. Hyperviolence anime, hyerviolence videogames, hyperviolence movies. My only regret is that there is no such thing as hyperviolence novels.
I had a raging boner reading this. Am I beyond salvation?
Tits and ass.
He should remake MD Geist as a series or just make a series set in the same universe instead of that. There's a lot of room to expand in that superviolent and decadent future he painted in the first OVA.
