So the Life Fibers come from a giant parasitic extra terrestrial ball that fell to earth in prehistoric time, induced human evolution, and laid dormant for thousands of years in order to rise up and take over one day.
How do you all feel about this?
Lavos was pretty anti-climatic.
>I'm gonna copy ever boss so far
Inside Lavos weren't copies.
Chrono Cross sucks.
I thought it was neat how it had the DNA of the strongest creatures in the planet in history.
Please, if you're going to talk like that, include a Chrono Trigger warning.
I never thought about it that way.
I liked Chrono Cross, only thing that really bothered me was he used an oar as a weapon.
Chrono is Goku-Jesus saving the world from the Devilavos.
I didn't want to believe it, but they made a compelling argument.
Years later I still don't get why in the name of fuck Ocelot did the self hypnosis thing.
The common spawns that appear after the first few levels are stronger than the first boss that it copied. Think about that.
>not having lavos as your waifu
The thing I hated most about Cross is the implied bad ends for the Trigger cast. It ended with Crono becoming king, having time traveling adventures, chasing cats and living happily ever after.
Well, the Lavos fight is available pretty early in the game.
Maybe those first few forms are his way of giving you a false sense of pride before you get #REKT
>In the NA version, Magus noted that Lavos had been "controlling evolution for its own purposes." This makes it seem as if Lavos were actively guiding evolution. In fact, the only known instance of this is humanity's contact with the Frozen Flame. In the Japanese version, Magus merely says that Lavos has been "making the evolution of all life...its own," which is similar to the other party members' statements that Lavos is merely harvesting certain traits for his own evolution. It is far removed from the sweeping statement that Lavos controlled absolutely everything.
>So the Life Fibers come from a giant parasitic extra terrestrial ball that fell to earth in prehistoric time, induced human evolution, and laid dormant for thousands of years in order to rise up and take over one day.

Makes me want to call Life Fibers "Mom" and stab Mako(!!) through the back.
I play games for the gameplay only losers care about story in a game.
Well, at least someone read what I wrote.
Lavos a cute.
The moment when Raiden went full KATANA STRONK weeaboo.
I can't believe how much I enjoyed Rising, as short as it was.
I think Zeal is Jenova and that Jenova is controlling Sep in the same way she was controlled by Lavos.
Ironic, but makes a bit of sense.
>Makos mom can't cook for shit and regularly throws out good food in order to make shit
>Makos dad is a back ally surgeon who has killed many a human...with his experiments...
>Mako constantly falls asleep during class (what kinda earth kid would do that?) and is fuck stronk with a mere 2 life fibers
>I wanna stick my dick in makos brother which is strange cause I'm not gay......(this is where it all came together for me)
>The family dog wears clothes...what kinda fucked up world would someone have to live in to put clothes on a animal
I'm not saying her and her family are aliens ........but
NA version is better.
Ties into the Reptite extinction too.
I wouldn't have minded that twist as much if it was well handled.
Unfortunately the whole thing was shoved into the story last minute and written like shit.
You would have been fine with Dalton (aka the Team Rocket of CT) destroying your happy ending?
Seems like Life Fibers dont like Africans.
>Look this up
Wow the DS port is fucking stupid.
Please don't start with /pol/ nonsense, I don't want them in this series at all.
thats because they chose humans because of their high intelligence.
>Life Fibers are Lavos
>Ragyo is Queen Zeal
>Satsuki is Magus
>Ryuuko is Crono
>Nui is Dalton
>Isshin is Guru Balthazar
>One/Two Stars are the Enlightened Ones
>No Stars are the Earthbound Ones
>Gama/Nonon/Monkey are Ozzie/Flea/Slash
>Aikuro is Guru Gaspar
>Mako is Spekkio
Dunno who to pair Inumuta with.
>Joke character that kills the main characters off screen
Someones gonna die
I for one am okay with our ball-shaped parasitic overlord
my lord, I didn't think Lavos could be so... so..
TY BASED /a/
REMINDER: Crono and his crew died like a bitch.
Anyone think any studio could pull off a faithful Chrono Trigger anime?
Like a short but sweet 13 episode ordeal.
What ending would be canon?
>inb4 deconstruction of conventional anime with dev ending.
I'll never accept it. I'd rather sew my eyes and ears shut than accept Chrono Cross. That game is deader to me than any character, any anime, any concept could ever be.
>Clothes are sentient beings
Jizzing in my pants just got a whole new meaning to me
I can understand jizzing in your underwear, but in your clothes?.
I don´t use underwear
By the end of the game Crono, Marle and Lucca kills Lavos (or whoever your end game party was). Crono solos Lavos if you count new game plus. Who the hell could touch them.
I was actually discussing this with my girlfriend just this morning. Magus alive, resurrect Crono, complete all side missions, assault Black Omen, defeat Lavos, Millennial Fair end.
Give Magus the Epoch for good measure, since that will allow him to keep searching for his sister even after the time portals are gone.
Forgot my pic
You know Dalton, the joke villain with the Golems, him.
So now we are getting invaded by /v/ermin just because they found a similarity between KlK and one of their games
Fucking Dalton. Dalton. Fuck CC
Well technically it wasn't even necessarily Dalton, but the fact that they messed with time and thus they were removed by "fate" or some other such nonsense. Basically they had to cease to be due to shenanigans.
CC tried to turn CT into 2deep4u bullshit by removing all the endearing qualities. Probably because CT was a joint project that was influenced by the same people who make the Dragon Quest series.
CT is too dear to me for me to allow its "sequel" to shit on everything it was to pump up its own depth. It would be like if half the team responsible for TTGL went on to make a direct sequel which invalidated most of what happened in the first series and did whatever it felt like with the characters.
Lavos was so powerful that his presence caused space-time to distort around him as he fought.
It was the best RPG boss. Only Giygas provided a similarly eerie tone and the level of mindfuck that Lavos did.
No one better cheat on lavos-waifu.
it's a very good game. just pretend it's a standalone game (which it basically is)
reminder that we will never have a true sequel to Chrono Trigger due to Square judging the DS game sales, and deciding it wasn't selling enough to justify a new one
you now have the pendulum from the intro swinging in your head with the music
>pendulum from the intro swinging in your head with the music
I can't believe I still remember that.
Of what little I remember of CC it wasn't bad as long as you think of it as separate from CT. Way too many characters though.
One day, I swear, I will play through Radical Dreamers to the end.
