can we have a maison ikkoku thread?
what other romance makes you hate real life for being so real?
Been watchin' this one for a bit on and off, I'm at ep. 19. It's been a fun ride I got to admidt. Lately I been enjoying it with some cheap beer for the lulz.
I'll be a little bit too honest and say I've tried to go back and watch Kids on the Slope 'cause of this. Hurts to watch but I can't avoid the Yoko Kanno.

But I remember liking KOR, Marmalade Boy and Itazura na kiss.
Reading this at a young age skewed my view of relationship, and being in college and stuff, and make me think it was going to be day after day of fun shenanigans and I would have a hot milf who wants me, and a girlfriend I could end up with too on the side.
It's not true though.
Read the manga. It's one of the most mature take on romance as you'll get, for a lack of less vague adjective to describe it.
My grammar is shit and I need to go to sleep. Anyway yeah, one of the best indirect confessions I know. Worth it just for those moments where the two open up to each other without excessive blushing and stuttering because they've already come to understand each other.
It's long but it was well worth the watch. Ending was pretty great.
Anime was the same thing just focused on the main relationship instead of side shenanigans
Since most anime romance consists of harems, or high school girls, or harems of high school girls. This is the most realistic down to earth story you'll get, that's not boring either.
Haha. Don't try talking about anything by Rumiko, from before Ranma.
You'll get the odd Urusei Yatsura thread here and there, but stuff like Maison Ikkoku and Mermaid Saga, forget it.
Which company will license this and how soon?
Viz did just announce the Ranma BD so I think it has a good chance of coming out soon.
