Opinions on most underrated or over looked anime in recent years?
Kyousougiga wins for me, amazing show that got next to no attention last season.
Boku no pico, the masterpiece that never got the attention it deserved.
It got a fair amount of attention.
I saw absolutely nothing with Yozakura Quartet until the last couple episodes.
Was Kyousougiga good? I was thinking of watching it but I wasn't sure.
Not anywhere I noticed or at least not compared to half the other shows of the season.
It was okay.
Just watch the 2011/2012 ONAs you can find on Vol 0 of the BD. The series just takes that and shits all over it.
Natural High is the GOAT anime studio
Started great, but the end was disappointing.
Episode 00 was good, the rest of the show was mostly shit. Koto a excrement.
It takes a turn with the later episodes, but you won't find anything as satisfying as episode 10 in the ONAs
Okay, ONA 5 but still
It really just had some really rough patches once it ran out of OVA content and started to add in its new plot and lost a lot of flair and style, but the last two episodes were great.
Were you not on /a/ at all while it was airing? Especially during the first few episodes, it had 500+ post threads calling it AOTY all week.
Pretty mediocre, first half was good, ONAs were great
Overall, very good. Problem it had was with pacing.
First 3-4 episodes were god tier, but it just plain ran out of steam after that. The poignancy was lost somehow.
It was consensus AOTY on /a/ after NNB.
>but the last two episodes were great.
Pretty much redeemed it for me.
this show genuinely angered me over how bad it was. Did anyone watch the whole series?
Barely made it through the first episode, didn't even bother with the three episode rule. The main girl was just obnoxious.
A "no attention" show would be one that aires without me even noticing threads on it.
Kyousougiga definitely doesn't qualify
Yeah, I actually watched and enjoyed Yozakura, but never really saw much talk on it.
I think Kyousougiga suffers from the same issue as Yozakura: the way they were released. The story is spread out among ONA/OVA that have been released here and there so it's not as enticing as a full self-contained series. And now they finally release a regular series run for each, and they didn't get the attention they deserved.
What the fuck are you talking about?
It was overrated as fuck and is a below-average series at best.
