When was the last time an anime hooked you and you watched it all day long?
You don't even remember
Season 1 of Silver Spoon.
I watched it all a couple weeks ago.
A week ago wasn't that long.
inu x boku ss
short and kept me interested
>Implying I still have the attention span to watch a complete series in one go
Last week when I started Toradora
I just wanted it to be over already.
The last time? No, I don't remember. I remember the first time, though. Fucking TTGL.
C: the money of blah blah blah blah
I thought the plot was pretty unique and I wanted to see how it ended
Shin Sekai Yori. It's a series that is way better if watched in one go. Or at least over just a few days. The pacing was off for weekly releases, but watching every episode back to back is absorbing.
Rurouni Kenshin. A few months back... Watched the show, ova, motion picture, and the live action. Needless to say I was all Oro'd out.
Code Geass two weeks ago.
Didn't mean to quote.
When I watched all of Jormungand about a month ago.
Before that was Senran Kagura, before SK was Shinsekai Yori I think.
Unless you count rewatching FMA Brotherhood which I've been watching at a pace of about 12 episodes per day.
Hajime no Ippo, fuck yeah.
You're right, I don't remember. For years now I've just watched seasonal shows as they aired. My backlog has gone untouched all that time.
But that was a long time ago.
I dropped it midway in the first episode.
Steins;Gate, which I only got around to starting 2 weeks ago.
I watched 8 episodes at a time.
Then I rewatched it, noting how fucking amazingly the first episode ties into the rest of the series.
Katanagatari and Love Lab.
Sure I do, happened last week
>He needs dialog in his animu!
yu yu kahusho
sick in bed so I watched kids on the slope all day. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with it but it had a few issues.
Definitely a needed break from the shit Ive watched recently.
watched Hunter x Hunter 2011
It was yesterday.
Eva, but that was just so I could watch EoE and then say I watched it.
It was interesting, not as pretentious as I thought it'd be. I understood most things, and I didn't find EoE as confusing as you guys make it seem. It was bizarre, but the plot wasn't hard to follow.
My most recent one is Log Horizon.
The first episode is pretty awful and confusing you have to let it set in and give it a few more episodes, You can't expect the first episode to be amazing when it has 22 episodes.
Marathoned it in one shot. Couldn't stop.
The last time I did that was for Code Geass.
Just yesterday, white album 2.
The first episode was great and it perfectly settled the mood for the rest of the series.
>marathoning a series
This is how you spot newfags.
I watch this piece of shit in a single go.
What a piece of fucking shit.
I just completely lost it with the brocon moe sister tsundere same blood arghh.
Fucking good music but the rest is terrible.
Completely wasted my time.
Yeah, the 6th movie was pretty badly handled, and the novel counterpart was better, but in the overall experience, I still loved the movies.
First season of K-ON is the only show I've done that with, about a year ago. I usually get really fatigued watching too much anime at once.
Now, this is something you're gonna have to explain to me.
How does one thing relate to the other?
Should have just watched movie 5 and ignored the rest. Only good thing about the series.
Bleach episodes 1-60.
Just rewatched One Outs, good times as usual
I watched Eva 1-26 (with the DCs) in one sitting, I think.
.. Until, for complete dramatic effect, the power went out literally seconds after I finished Episode 25.
Not all day long, but I marathoned Gundam Build Fighters 1-16 yesterday after some anons recommended it to me the day before. It's pretty fun, I gotta say.
It was gay.
Sunred, both seasons.
Shiki, although I´m almost sure I had to make a break in the middle.
/co/ material on the other hand, always keeps me on my seat and entertained as fuck (Metalocalypse, Home Movies, Moral Orel,...)
[ ] Told
[ ] Fucking Told

[ ] Toldal Raisin Bran
[X] All of the above
[ ] Not Told
Same here. Although I watched the full episode, but I wish I dropped it and saved myself from the torture. Quite possibly the worst anime I have ever seen.
It's boring beyond imagination. Also, you can literally smell the sweat of how hard it is trying to be deep as fuck. Shit was embarrassing to watch.
And people say Bakemonogatari is pretensious. If that's true, then Texhnolyze is the very definition of it.
OP bait status:
: not taken
What exactly was better in the novel about part 6?
Penguindrum a week ago and it was the second titime i've watched it. But fuck, that ending
And you say this... from the first episode alone?
It was so minimalist that I don't know how you could possibly gather that it is "pretentious".
>not marathoning a series
This is how you spot newfags.
Discounting short OVA's and films, I did watch all of The World God Only Knows pretty fast. I don't usually marathon anime these days though. I did marathon some manga recently though. I Am A Hero and Witch Craft Works.
Psycho pass 5 days ago.
Some series are less marathon-friendly though, Aria being the classic example.
Hidamari is also a pretty good example.
She wasn't such a fucking clumsy/ditzy bitch for the sake of moe, she was still in love with her brother, though, but the plot was leaps and bounds better, completely overshadowing said subplot.
Watched Sora no Woto in 2 days. 6 a day.
i hadnt actually realized this, but pretty much all my top >ANIMES i watched in a marathon over one or two days
seto no hanayome
if something doesnt inspire you to marathon it right away perhaps it is crap!
are you me?
I don't even know when psychopass aired but for some reason everyone is watching it now.
Iyashikei in general can be pretty draining.
Took me a year to finish.
I've only made it through 2 1/2 episodes in the past 3 months.
Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei too.
I just watch the occasional episode whenever I'm in the mood for a bit of black comedy.
Naruto. Way back in 2004. I haven't watch a single episode of it since 2005
Psycho Pass 2 weeks after it finished airing. I marathoned that shit in one sitting I was so tired that when they revealed pops was edgy faggots dad I physically flipped my shit I also marathoned GJ Bu recently.
I recently watched Machine-Doll in one sitting, felt bad that I missed the threads when it aired, was a fun watch.
When I watched Steins gate.
Actually, I did this with your image yesterday. I didn't much like the first 3 episodes, and stopped watching it. But on a whim I took it back up and the series grew on me.
Usagi drop. I actually watched the whole thing yesterday.
Blue Exorcist, a few months ago. Wasn't even because it hooked me, it was because I wanted to see if I could watch all 25 episodes in a single day.
That being said, I don't remember shit about it.
Watched the whole thing 2days ago.
I don't remember the date, but it was Baccano! Every episode and the ova, one sitting. Nothing ridiculous, but I only tend to marathon manga, not anime.
now read the manga
Also I have this stuck in my head now. I keep humming it everwhere.
Planning to do that anon. It's definitely one of my favorite series now.
Anon. I'm so sorry. I can't tell you not to do it, I can only be sorry.
>no taken tag tournament
>no taken too
>no kevin taken
Do you hate fun or something?
I just started One Outs a couple days ago.
I heard the anime only covers about half of the manga. Is it all translated?
Dog & Scissors yesterday, was pretty interesting.
And the first one was Code Geass i assume.
Arpeggio of Battleship Gijinkas. It was actually fun to watch.
Madoka, Soul Eater (pretty much every time I had freetime, finished it in under 3 days), Nichijou.
>You don't even remember
goddammit op, I just want to be happy again...
madoka, sakamichi no apollon
how is d&s? looked.interesting
Shingeki. I know I have shit taste but I don't care.
witch craft work....
I watch most series in few long sessions but It takes me a while to start a new series.
it was funny how the manga was praised and recommended in manga threads before the anime was announced and a huge vocal minority started calling it shit.
i'd say it's the majority now, actually.
Just yesterday, actually.
As a side note, what's with all the hate for it?
I just finished episode 12, and it seems like at least a 7/10.
I remember binge watching pretty much all of eureka 7 over the course of a week.
Jojo's Kooky Escapade.
The Otaku humor was pretty bad, IMO.
Plus, the bigger problems start later on when the show doesn't seem to able to decide on what side of the court regarding time travel it's standing, Back to the Future or Terminator.
Couple of weeks ago, the original Gundam series. Didn't expected it to be so good. Besides that, i think the only i did a marathon like that was The wire
I cringed a bit.
From what i've heard, the jokes really depend on the subber.
Sora no Otoshimono
A couple weeks ago.
Can't remember when but it was Requiem for the Phantom.
LOGH and Space battleship yamato
You're right, I don't remember. But thats more because I realized marathoning a show makes you enjoy it less.
Maybe for you. If you are forcing yourself to marathon it, you aren't going to enjoy it. If it is so good that you can't stop watching, that is a different story.
Attack on titan, oreimo s1 and s2, little busters refrain, yu yu hakusho
I finished it in two days. Couldn't stop watching, it's too good.
Hokuto no Ken. Like, three years ago. And for two days long.
I can only really watch a few hours at most nowadays. I just lost interest otherwise; I used to be able to watch it from afternoon to nighttime at one point but that was long ago.
Baccano, spent an entire saturday watching it because I was so damn hooked.
Akagi. I've watched it at least 7 times now. I get bored when my connection drops, think "might as well watch Akagi". I start up episode 1 and I spend the next day watching the entire thing all over again.
Madoka. Today actually.
Ippo, last year
I also read ALL of the chapters in a few days
It was extreme
Seitokai Yakuindomo and the OVAs.
Hidamari Sketch, 1st and 2nd seasons, and their specials. I'll watch the rest later.
Log Horizon a few days ago.
Gurrenn lagannn, kaminomi, and the biggest marathon was almost all of Mirai nikki in one night.
When I watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for the first time.
I marathoned it last week
I enjoyed it
A year ago, i watched all episodes of Gurren Lagann in less than a week. Too awesome! Same thing 2 weeks ago, watched the first 13 episodes of kill la kill in a day
Gatchaman. Fuck, I'm so mad I fell behind and didn't watch it when it was airing.
same w/ gurren lagann
fuck i love that anime, literally changed my life.
You didn't miss anything.
I still marathon animae regularly
