What you're reading now?

What's your favorite?

Which ones do you want scanlated?

Which sport you like seeing the most in manga?

Is there a sport you like but could never find a manga about it?

Rugby

Handball. Well, there's a 10-chapter manga that was canned on Jump, but that's not enough.

Someone mentioned curling yesterday. Might be interesting. I'm also still mad that Ice Revolution got axed. I really enjoyed it.

I don't mind waiting however long it'll take for them to be finished.

Whoa. I really hope this is true

Can anyone recommend me a good kendo series? I finished Kurogane, which left me wanting more because the way it ended was so damn disappointing.

I would go with the manga, but that's because I really like the artist's style.

Waiting on more Ookiku Furikabutte and Diamond no Ace translations.

I think baseball itself is boring as hell but really enjoy watching anime/reading manga about it.
>>
Yowamushi is easily the best sports series running right now. I really fucking wish a different group would pick the series up, it's a weekly series, and the ONE GUY who is doing it is hundreds of chapters behind and is only releasing it by the volumes. The anime is going to overtake the scanlations in only a month or two.

I'm also super bummed that Buyuden just got cancelled.

Why can't anybody translate all of the Major manga? I'd so much rather read it than watch like 7 seasons worth of anime...

No side : hillarious genderbender with a lot of quality fanservice thanks to the extremelly slutty manager. With a dash of pure romance (het), and moe ruggermen.

And an extremelly gay one which I wouldn't recommend at all. When I say gay it's really really gay, and I say that as someone who doesn't put basugay and Free in the gay category.

And the time-skip ending is okay, pretty basic, but doesn't suck or anything.

Hiruma and Mamori is the true OTP
>>
>>101226597

The hell, not at all. ARM just had like 5 chapters that focused on how that one guy was wondering what to do with his life. It's pure SoL with fights in between.

Holyland wasn't slice of life at all, jesus.
>>
>>101226359
because mamori-neesan got banged by Hiruma behind the equipment shed early in the series so he blackmailed her into becoming manager and then continued to have his way with her at every opportunity until she eventually got broken and now genuinely lusts for him

besides, sena was always more suitable for rollerskates girl anyways
>>
>>101226644

>>
>>101230341
The scans aren't dead (in fact a new volume was just put out today), but the anime adapts quite a few chapters per episode, and the scanlation is done by just one girl who is also a college student and she does it by the volume.

Both are fantastic, but I guess I'd say watch the anime since it's going to catch up to the scans pretty quickly.

I consider myself as someone that watches/reads a lot of sports series as well (at least more than the average /a/non), and idk but I have to respectfully disagree with you there. I like watching Pedal and Diamond as well, and while they're a fun watch, they're nowhere as well-executed as Haikyuu in my opinion. The characterization and actual games in Haikyuu are on another level from the two mentioned series.

But I only watch the anime for Pedal and Diamond so maybe my opinion is lacking.

Does anybody find the relationship between the MC and the blue-haired rival in Yowamushi Pedal disturbingly gay? The tone just completely changes when those two characters specifically talk to each other. And this is from somebody who's used to all the Miyata lusting and dick-grabbing in Hajime no Ippo.
>>
>>101230526
It's about a clumsy anti-social weaboo moefag who rides his bike to the next town over all the time to buy anime figurines and merchandise. Little does he know that the trail to the next town over is apparently impossible to travel to on bike which means he has super talent in cycling. Him and his friends Edgy and Naruto all join the bike club together and he masturbates to them winning competitions.
>>
Slam Dunk is forever going to be number 1 for me. ES21 comes close. Ippo until it turned to Baki 2.0 with freakshow fights, same with Shamo.
Garouden was also amazing with one of the worst endings ever. I mean worse than Ito Junji.
>>
>>101230861
It's hard to say.
The anime has amazing OST and direction. But it also sometimes takes out certain panels of the manga (for example the most recent episode took out the older members of the Cycling team wondering who was going to win the race between the first years and the second years).

Both are fantastic though. I'd recommend the anime more though because of "HIME HIME OH HIME OH HIME HIME HIME!"

Hantsu x Trash (kinda sports)

Eyeshield 21

Teppuu
>Which sport you like seeing the most in manga?
Its almost always the same trope - most time I don't give a shit about the actual sport.
>Is there a sport you like but could never find a manga about it?
Japan can make high tense manga out of any sports. I'm waiting for my freeze tag sports manga.

Can I jump into Baki's second series without reading the first one? Why isn't that even translated?
>>
>>101231642

You can watch the anime instead of reading the first part, otherwise it's going to be a bit confusing.
>>
>>101231642
That's what I did. It didn't really ruin anything for me.
>>
>>101227298
Please no. No one can get Murata's art properly. Just stick with the manga.
>>
>>101231853
Oh, is the anime good? And does it cover the entire first series?

Aren't all the relationships in yowapedal gay?
>>

I don't know how faithful it is, I think it skips a bit, since it's 42 volumes, still very good though.

2 seasons though, so it's quite a lot to go through.
>>
>>101230929
Were you not here for the thread when the episode aired with them basically having sex during their race by moaning each others names while racing?

The series is full of Shota-lust. Especially with the two second year characters on the team.
>>
>>101227687
Rushed ending. Still great though.

does anyone remember what the name of that beach volleyball one was named? it was ridiculously over the top and had lots of extreme inertia titties, but that was what made it fun.

Currently reading Slam Dunk and REAL.
I like both so far, but the characters were a bit hard to get into.

So is he the most disappointing character in sports manga history? He was built up to be a superstar and then all he did was job.

I know people say Fantasista gets really shit later, but I really wanna see it scanlated to the end. Marco and Teppei going balls out was pretty fucking nuts, and it still isn't as unrealistic as Kuroko or ES21.
